HVAC, Plumber & Electrical FAQs
The average cost to replace an electrical panel ranges from $1,595 - $3,000 depending on the amperage. The higher the amperage needed the more expensive the new electrical panel would be. Amp replacement is necessary when the existing system cannot be upgraded to meet new standard needs or when there is a safety risk to the existing system.
Tankless water heater cost in Marietta ranges from $1,500 to $5,000 depending on the size and type of the water heater being installed. Tankless water heaters have a higher initial price compared to tank heaters because of a more labor-intensive set-up if new gas and water lines are required for installation. For electrical tankless heaters, new electric wiring will probably not be needed for installation in most cases.
If you're experiencing AC not cooling your Marietta area home while the system is powered on, you could have a clogged or blocked coil. Unfortunately, a wide variety of debris can find its way into this equipment, including grass, dirt, and other contaminants. This can result in a serious clog, which can lead to a system malfunction. The best way to prevent this is with regular AC cleaning and maintenance visits.

No cool due to a lost communication between thermostat and interface Honeywell , also, outdoor temperature sensor failed. Disabled temperature sensor and reset thermostat and interface. Tested system multiple times, with no other issue. System is working properly, but this type of thermostat is common to have issue with the interface. If it happens again, thermostat and interface will need to be replaced. Recommend to install an ecobee thermostat, if new is needed. Sent estimates for new thermostat (ecobee). I can’t get the price for the same thermostat (Honeywell interface), due to supply house is closed at this time. No other issue at this visit. Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Customer wants to add another system to the basement or zone the actual system and add a dedicated thermostat to the basement( it’s a 4.0 tons ac and 100k btu furnace, located in the basement), and also connect the dehumidifier to the system. No cool basement 2020 trane heat pump 3 ton. Found failed dual capacitor causing breaker to trip. Air scrubber bulb had failed on main floor unit and system lacked TE standard flood protection. Replaced capacitor today tested system. System functioning as designed at this time. Customer agreed to replace air scrubber bulb. Will order and return on Wednesday 2-5 to replace.
Today I came out due to condensation coming from tubing of condensation pump. Upon arrival, customer explained a plumber informed him there was water running down exterior wall. This water was coming from the condensation tubing for pump. As I tested pump, water drained from pump and as it was exiting exterior wall, water was gushing back inside running down exterior wall onto framing and insulation. I found the tubing going into a 90 degree elbow, but nothing was connected to the other end. Homeowner informed me they had to seal the hole where all of the tubing and line sets run out of house because animals were getting in through exposed gap. In doing so, they accidentally pushed back the elbow far enough where water was not able to drain outside of house. I replaced old tubing with new clear tubing, added about 2 feet of pvc pipe, connected tubing with elbow onto pipe, added a 45 degree pvc fitting on the outside, glued all connections, and tested work. Pump is draining water out c

Estimate for flood light camera
On today’s visit I met with the homeowner. The homeowner expressed an issue with a mainline clog in basement. I took a look ran water the toilet would gurgle. I wrote estimates to perform work and received approval. I ran the cable and was able to clear the blockage. I ran water and flushed the toilet several times to confirm restoration of flow. The basement fixtures are now draining fine. I also did a super clean up upon completion. I poured the first cap full of endure down the tub drain. The homeowner is now satisfied with the work completed.
Customer called us out for warped floor next to the toilet. I gave the customer multiple options and they chose to have the toilet pulled and inspect the flange. Once the toilet was removed we saw the flange was below the floor level which can cause leaking due to improper seal. Customer chose to have the flange raised. I installed an Oates flange extension and reset the toilet. Cleaned up and tested the toilet. Fill valve is slow but customer didn’t want that fixed today.
Great service!
Installed high frequency Gfci outlet under panel and replaced box/ outdoor outlet that was falling out of wall.
Performed a full HVAC inspection on all 4 systems. Inspected thermostat operation, electrical components, safeties, capacitors, contactors, blower assemblies, evaporator coils, condenser coils, refrigerant levels, drain lines, temperature splits, air filters, ductwork, and overall system performance/operation. Verified proper heating and cooling operation at each system and inspected systems for any signs of airflow restriction, electrical concerns, drainage issues, or abnormal operation. Homeowner was informed of all findings and recommendations. Thank you for choosing TE Certified. If you were happy with today’s service leave a review and share your experience with my service!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Troubleshoot why the master bedroom started tripping the breaker.
Electrical service upgrade
I met with the owners and was shown to the basement. I set up to replace the leaking PVC 90°. I cut out both 90s, replaced and ran water to test and ensure there are no leaks or errors. I also set new strap hangers as I had to cut the original brace out of the way for access. I showed the owners the final results and cleaned the work space.
Attempt to clear laundry drain blockage Customer called us out for a laundry drain backing up. Upon arrival the customer stated they’ve been having issues with the laundry drain with intermittent backups. We first started by testing the kitchen drain since they’re relatively close to ensure it was only the laundry drain being affected. We ran water in the kitchen sink and everything was flowing properly. The home is not experiencing a bigger issues as it is only isolated to the laundry drain. We recommend to the customer to attempt to restore proper flow and they agreed. We ran our cable machine in the laundry drain multiple times and we brought back debris and black sludge. The customer is aware they have cast iron piping under the slab. We recommended to have one of our sewer supervisor come out and further investigate but they chose to wait. We ran a cycle and ran water for about ten minutes and we did not see any backups whatsoever. The customer is satisfied and thank you for cho
Main level- Not Cooling System not cooling due to improper installation and application. The compressor is compromised and had an internal valve failure. The compressor is also pulling very high amps when trying to spin the rotor. There is a LRA rating on every outdoor unit, LRA = Locked Rotor Amps, the LRA rating on this unit is 60.8 amps, this system is consistently pulling over 120 amps, far beyond the LRA rating. The scoring of the inner walls of the compressor have also put contaminants in the refrigerant metering device at the evaporator coil. A proper flush and vacuum was most likely not performed when installing the system. This equipment is also not designed to do zoning. This system is single-stage, builder-grade equipment and is not designed to support a zoned application. Installing zoning on this type of system can lead to improper operation, increased wear, and premature equipment failure. Zoning systems are best suited for equipment with fully variable-speed or modulat
On today’s visit I installed a GFCI in one of the bathrooms, secured the existing range outlet to the nearest stud, and performed a visual inspection of the main panel.
Convert old fluorescent lights to led in front of office
Was here because customer found water around her main unit furnace that’s in the basement. System did not have any flood protection or drain pan. I did take a door off the evaporator and poured 1 gallon of water to see if it will drain, drain line was not clogged. AC unit did have high head pressure and a high sub cool. AC was also surrounded by overgrown bushes and vine. There was no restriction in the filter dryer the next thing in line to have a restriction would be the TXV. I informed the customer that for us to be 100% sure we would have to clean out the outdoor coil first and take care of the overgrown bushes. I also did an inspection in the furnace and saw that the heat exchange is in fact compromise and cracked. I showed the customer the pictures of what I found. she wants to have a project manager come out here tomorrow to quote on a new system. thank you for choosing TE certified.
Nice job, Ricardo. Thank you. Doug
Customer had water spraying out of a uponor pex pipe in the basement ceiling. After locating the leak we cut out the part of the pipe that was spraying and replaced it with a pex B piping. We are returning tomorrow to explain job scope and answer any questions tomorrow.
I came out to remove the wire that is going across the where the old cabinets were and going into an outlet in the living room. At your request, I just removed that outlet. Thank you for using TE certified electrical! Veaya
Returned to the house to replace two 6” supply flex in the crawl space.
Upstairs System - Not cooling System not cooling due to multiple failures on the outdoor unit and some age related issues. The system was set to cool mode on arrival and the indoor unit was running. The blower motor is seeping oil at the main seal and the blower wheel is dirty. Outside I observed that the unit had 240 volts but nothing was coming on. Tested the 40-5 dual capacitor and it is good, reading at 37.6-4.8, this is within operating range. Tested to make sure I had 240 volts on both sides of the electromagnetic contactor, 238 volts on both sides of contactor. Checked windings on both the condenser fan motor and the compressor and observed that both motors have had catastrophic internal failures. I used video documentation to show my multimeter while testing both of these motors. This is a catastrophic failure that could have been from a power surge, or possibly a domino effect from the first motor they shorted out. I have created a few estimates but due to the age, condition,
Installed a new Aladdin light lift for the foyer chandelier and installed a new whole home surge protector for the main electrical panel.
This estimate is contingent upon two factors; -homeowner removes content in area next to driveway/wall/so that we may excavate the broken line -If the existing pipe is galvanized steel, and we are not able to get the replacement fittings on the existing pipe, we will pivot to one of the previous options. At located area, we will excavate to uncovered damage section of pipe/we may have to sawcut a small section of the driveway if necessary/ once area has been excavated to expose damaged section of pipe, we will cut out damage section of pipe and remove. We will then install new section of pipe, test the new system for leaks, filling, excavation holes, put back the concrete on the driveway, and clean up./NO WARRANTY!!!/
Installed new 240v EV outlet in garage.
Build a platform on stair landing, with blankets and mats for protection. Remove light fixture above the stairs and box. Install a new fan rated brace box and reinstall fixture. Deconstruct the platform.

Bryan came to help a clogged sink. He was early to the appointment, through, personable, and most importantly knowledgeable. What was a somewhat stressful situation (any home repair issue is) was mitigated by his demeanor and expertise. Hopefully not in the near future but I will be a repeat customer. Pricing is a bit on the high side but all plumbers in general are and that didn’t have an impact on the level or service I received. He doesn’t set pricing.
