HVAC, Plumber & Electrical FAQs
The average cost to replace an electrical panel ranges from $1,595 - $3,000 depending on the amperage. The higher the amperage needed the more expensive the new electrical panel would be. Amp replacement is necessary when the existing system cannot be upgraded to meet new standard needs or when there is a safety risk to the existing system.
Tankless water heater cost in Marietta ranges from $1,500 to $5,000 depending on the size and type of the water heater being installed. Tankless water heaters have a higher initial price compared to tank heaters because of a more labor-intensive set-up if new gas and water lines are required for installation. For electrical tankless heaters, new electric wiring will probably not be needed for installation in most cases.
If you're experiencing AC not cooling your Marietta area home while the system is powered on, you could have a clogged or blocked coil. Unfortunately, a wide variety of debris can find its way into this equipment, including grass, dirt, and other contaminants. This can result in a serious clog, which can lead to a system malfunction. The best way to prevent this is with regular AC cleaning and maintenance visits.

Arrived on site for a 1 system Homecare. We completed a full system evaluation to determine performance, condition and safety. Client says the system has been working well but did have questions about humidifier performance. we tested everything, flushed drain lines, changed client provided filter and made sure system was cooling well. We did find the outdoor coils were dirty and the humidifier had multiple issues. We discussed them shortly before client needed to leave. He approved a condenser coil cleaning after he left the home. He locked up and we took apart and seeped cleaned the condenser coils. We closed up and cleaned up and confirmed system operation upon departure.

Perform inspection on three systems. Two systems are 2005 train furnace and AC systems. Both of these systems are in very poor condition. Both have failed heat exchangers. both have very dirty blower assemblies. All systems have dirty condenser coils. Both systems have very minimal flood prevention main level system has a fail blower capacitor as well. Upon inspection of main level furnace this furnace had a temperature rise of 90°. The data plate says the acceptable level is 35 to 65. This furnace was running 25° hotter than tolerance. This is led to multiple failures and several holes in the heat exchanger that are visible through high limit. It is simply time to look at replacement on these two systems. They are no longer a suitable source for heat in your home. These furnaces run the risk of putting carbon monoxide into your airstream. The third system is for the upstairs master bedroom area. It is in a manner system from 2019. It is in decent condition and heating and cooling well

Arrived on site to add 2 manual dampers and to cut in a new duct run to the basement. We also insulated the drain line that occasionally sweats. I started not cutting out the old ducts and installing the dampers, then cut out the new home run, sealed and secured start collars and mastic sealed all duct connections. I sketched out the location for the new supply vent and cut the new supply in. We installed the boot and ran the duct to the main room of the basement. We installed the supply grill ensuring it was leveled and centered. We cycled the system, tested airflow and had client help with adjustments for his comfort. We insulated the drain line as well and while installing the boots, I discovered the existing UV light was failed, so we installed an APCO-X Ultra and tested all functions upon departure. Will follow up with an estimate for a duct cut in for the bathroom as well.
1 System HomeCare Lennox 2022 System Checked heating and cooling. Flushed condensate pump and added enzymes. Inspected both coils and filter. Filter was 3 years old and in very bad shape. Outdoor coil will need cleaned soon. Checked refrigerant and electrical. Found biological growth on indoor coil area. Recommended Apco X UV to treat issue and improve air quality and system longevity. Customer decided to only replace filter at this time. Original filter was X6675 Health Climate.

Customers condensate line froze over the other night and they had some residual water sitting at the bottom of their tankless water heater case. I dried up the inside of the of the unit. While on-site, I showed the customer that their pressure was fine. But the pressure regulating valve was approaching twenty years old and noted a few leaks on copper pipe, as well as an old thermal expansion tank. Customer agreed to have the tankless flush and all above items, repaired and replaced. Did so by turning the water off to the entire house and draining as well as unplugging the tankless water heater. And then began the flush on the tankless. While the tank list was being flushed, I replaced the pressure regulating valve and thermal expansion tank. And then performed the repair on the copper.By replacing roughly five feet of copper. After the flush was performed, I checked all filters. Everything looked good. I then turned the water back onto the house. And slowly primed everything out of the
Troubleshoot outlets not working , replace outdoor outlets

Upon arrival spoke with customer about a leak coming through the garage ceiling which he believed was coming from the upstairs bathtub. Upon inspection the lift and turn tub drain was separated from the tub shoe. The plastic coarse thread adapter was broken off inside the shoe. Removed old threads from the shoe and installed a new lift and turn tub drain. Filled tub multiple times and no leaks were observed. In the event that another leak comes from this tub the waste and overflow assembly will have to be removed and rebuilt. Quote was left and I will credit back the cost of this repair to the full replacement of the waste and overflow.
Customer called us out for a toilet that was leaking from the base. On arrival I saw where the water was but I could not get more to come out. I recommended doing a pull and reset. Customer agreed. When I pulled the toilet I noticed the flange was broken in two places and the toilet was actually leaking from the tank bolts. I let customer know that I would have to replace the flange and we could rebuild or put in a new toilet but that due to the age of the toilet I would replace. Customer agreed to replacement. I took the top of the flange off and chiseled the inner part out. I then installed a new flange and installed the new toilet with new wax ring closet bolts and china caps. I also reinstalled the customers bidet seat. I cleaned up and tested throughly.
Customers master bathroom toilet would constantly fill while not in use and also received a higher than expected water bill. Upon inspection technician discovered that the seal for the American Standard toilet has failed due to the gasket wearing away and blistering along the seal. Would recommend replacing the toilet seal in order to get the toilet to quit running while not in use. Work performed removed worn out seal and installed a new seal. After installing the new seal technician then tested the toilet and it is no longer running while not in use.
For this job, the customer had two issues. One was the washing machine leaking, the second was the PRV was making a loud noise every time the washer was ran. The customer opted to take care of PRV, and will be replacing the washing machine. Thank you for choosing TE Certified.
During today’s visit, we evaluated three separate systems and found a mix of safety, airflow, drainage, indoor air quality, and age-related equipment concerns. Several items are affecting comfort, system performance, and long-term reliability. We also found wear on outdoor electrical components across all three systems, with capacitors and contactors showing signs of age and use. —————————————————————————————————————————— System 1 main floor The main floor system has a rusted and deteriorated flue vent with visible holes, and the current venting is single-wall pipe serving both the water heaters and furnace. The furnace is a 2007 Coleman and is showing normal age-related wear and tear. The system also lacks proper flood protection and indoor air quality treatment. In addition, the supply and return plenums are constructed of fiberglass material. Recommended work includes: • Replace the existing single-wall venting • Install proper flood protection, including an overflow pan for
Customers pressure was ninety p s I at the water heater. Customers stated they had attempted to change the pressure as it was a note in their inspection before they moved in. This did not change the pressure. P r v was ten years old. Customer agreed to have the pressure regulating valve and emergency shut off valve replaced. Did so by turning the water off at the meter And then draining the house down. Afterwards, I cut the old one out and replaced with a new prv and emergency shutoff. Once installed, I turned the emergency shut off valve into the off position and turned the water back on at the street pressure tested good. I then turned the emergency shut off valve on and slowly primed the air out of all the lines and cleaned out the faucets as they primed. I then adjusted the pressure up to sixty psi. Then rapped the new existing pipe. Thank you for choosing and trusting t e with your plumbing needs
Upon arrival spoke with customer about an outdoor shower head that was leaking and an outdoor toilet with a cracked shank on the fill valve. Replaced shower head with customer supplied shower head. Changed fill valve and installed new supply line on toilet.
During our visit, the existing toilet flange was removed and the pipe was extended past the floor. Once the flooring is repaired, the toilet flange and toilet will be reinstalled. A new water stop was also installed for the toilet. The master bathroom faucet also received customer supplied cartridges. These repairs were tested for leaks after completion.
