HVAC, Plumber & Electrical FAQs
The average cost to replace an electrical panel ranges from $1,595 - $3,000 depending on the amperage. The higher the amperage needed the more expensive the new electrical panel would be. Amp replacement is necessary when the existing system cannot be upgraded to meet new standard needs or when there is a safety risk to the existing system.
Tankless water heater cost in Marietta ranges from $1,500 to $5,000 depending on the size and type of the water heater being installed. Tankless water heaters have a higher initial price compared to tank heaters because of a more labor-intensive set-up if new gas and water lines are required for installation. For electrical tankless heaters, new electric wiring will probably not be needed for installation in most cases.
If you're experiencing AC not cooling your Marietta area home while the system is powered on, you could have a clogged or blocked coil. Unfortunately, a wide variety of debris can find its way into this equipment, including grass, dirt, and other contaminants. This can result in a serious clog, which can lead to a system malfunction. The best way to prevent this is with regular AC cleaning and maintenance visits.

**Heating & Cooling System Inspection – Attic System #2** Technician arrived for a no-cool concern and performed a heating and cooling system inspection. The system is a **2016 Carrier furnace paired with a 2022 Rheem 2.5-ton air conditioner**, located in the attic. During the inspection, the technician found several maintenance and condition concerns, including a dirty outdoor condenser coil, dirty blower wheel, dirty air filter, blower capacitor testing out of tolerance, an improperly configured condensate drain line, lack of standard flood protection, and evidence that the system has not been receiving regular maintenance. As part of today’s service, the technician **cleaned the outdoor condenser coil** to improve heat transfer and system performance. The technician also **rebuilt the condensate drain line to provide proper slope and drainage**, helping reduce the potential for standing water and future drainage issues. Photo documentation of the system inspection and identified
Upon arrival, met with customer and spoke with her regarding their issue. Customer states they have been experiencing a leaking shower for a while and the shower also completely stopped draining recently. Customer also has a slow draining lavatory sink. All these fixtures are in the master bathroom upstairs. I confirmed the clogged fixtures are isolated and not affecting the entire bathroom group. The shower valve is a delta 17/17t thermostatic valve and has a unique cartridge. Cartridge is a Delta rp47201. Customer will order a new cartridge and I will return to install it when it arrives. Gave customer options to clear the drains and after getting signature approval I began work. Ran flexshaft machine down shower drain and cleared large hair blockage inside the p trap. Also cleared lavatory sink which was clogged with hair and soap scum/gunk. Flushed both drains with hot water to clear out any remaining debris and then tested thoroughly. No leaks. Fixtures are now draining properly.
On today’s visit I met with the homeowner. The homeowner expressed an issue with a mainline clog. I ran water to confirm the issue. I wrote options to perform work and received approval. I was able to run my cable approximately 45ft to clear the clog. I ran a water hose through the clean out to confirm everything was draining. I set a lead for a camera inspection for 8/17/26. The camera inspection should be done from the outside exterior clean out on the back of the house. Use large drain machine to clear line from the exterior accessible cleanout, and locate source of drain issue with sewer camera. Includes drain machine and inspection camera (no additional fee). Does not include digging, replacing lines, or repairs. Cleared lines may clog again without a permanent repair. TE offers one free return visit for all mainlines within the 12 months if camera inspection is performed. Endure treatment
Excellent service all around
Garrett and Alex spent almost 3 hrs addressing a few different plumbing issues at our 20 year old home. They were so friendly, very considerate, professional, and the epitome of customer service. Both are hardworking employees who are truly such wonderful representatives of TE Plumbing!
Customers' main level. Bathroom toilet was slowly leaking from tank to bowl, gasket and tank to bowl bolt. Everything else, except for the age of the water heater checked out water. Heater was eleven years old. I gave the customer multiple options on how to take care of their issue with the toilet. They opted to do a rebuild on the tank. Turn the water off at the shut off valve and uninstall. The tank and all the parts inside of the tank. Install new supply line, fill valve, flush valve, handle and tanked bowl gasket and bolts. Clean the inside of the tank out and reinstall the tank once secured. I turned the water back on and checked for leaks. By allowing it to sit for 5 minutes before flushing. Adjusted the fill level within side of the tank and then flush the toilet multiple times to make sure that there were no other leaks. Thank you for choosing and trusting t e with your plumbing needs
After a lightning strike at my house, TE sent Nate out the same day, and he did a very thorough inspection. He fixed everything that had been fried by the lightning and got the house up to speed with everything electrical that it needed. I’m very pleased and would definitely recommend Nate and TE.
Customer called us out because she took a surge from a lightning storm. Georgia Power came out and told her she needed to have an inspection. When I arrived, I did an inspection I found all but one of the GFCI‘s in the house were fried. I found two wafer lights that were flickering. A bad dimmer. Grounding had been melted due to the surge, and also there was only one ground rod for 200 amp system. Two of the breakers in the panel were not UL listed and also there was no search protection. I replaced the two wafers and all the GFCI’s that had gone bad. I drove two new ground rods and used irreversible crimps to attach to the grounding system. The smoke detector was also expiring in a month so we went ahead and replaced the smoke and carbon combo. We also replaced that dimmer. Everything is now working properly and the grounding system is back up to the current standard.
For this job, we returned to perform previously quoted work. We installed a new pressure regulator on the main to get the pressure down to 60 psi instead of 90. Also installed a new thermal expansion tank on the system. We then installed a customer supplied faucet in the kitchen with new quarter turn shut offs. Thank you for choosing TE certified.
During today's visit, we met with the homeowner regarding the reinstallation of a customer supplied toilet. The homeowner recently had the bathroom flooring replaced, and the flooring contractor recommended that a licensed plumber reinstall the toilet. We discussed the flooring replacement with the homeowner and confirmed that the new flooring is thicker than the previous tile. Upon inspection, we noted that the closet flange appeared slightly below the finished floor level, which is consistent with the increase in flooring thickness. We cleaned the existing flange and installed an extra-thick wax ring with horn to help ensure proper seating of the toilet and create a watertight seal. After resetting the toilet, we performed multiple consecutive test flushes to verify proper operation and confirm that no leaks were present. Once leak free operation was confirmed, we applied caulk around the base of the toilet, leaving an opening at the rear to allow any potential future leaks to become
We replaced the post light head in the front yard
Needed washer and dryer hookups capped. Then had hot water heater installed. Great job working in a tight area in the crawl space. Knowledgeable, polite and efficient.
Ductwork inspection for rear classroom revealed a manual damper for the main supply duct diffuser was closed so I opened it and it is now blowing significantly ore air into the space. This appears to have been the issue for some time. A booster fan had previously been installed into this duct as well to push more airflow. Client will monitor for better temperature control. No other airflow concerns were observed at this time.
8/5: LVM and sent text to schedule. RW This estimate will be us installing a customer supplied monitoring system, we will install the system in each panel and secure CT’s as well. This estimate also includes repalcing 4 cans to 6” remodel cans, and replacing one 4in can in bathroom, we will also secure and re do outdoor outlet as well as hang a chandelier
Aiden and his colleague were excellent and knew what they were doing. So professional and I’d love to see him frow within the company as he has so much potential and beneficial for the company.
Andrew is a true asset to this company. He presents himself like a professional and is very knowledgeable. His personality shines.
Customer called us out for a quote to replace the son’s attached bathroom toilet. On arrival customer showed me the toilet they had bought and where they wanted it. I gave them the quote and they agreed. I removed the old toilet and installed the new one with no issues. Customer did not want the old bidet. There were signs of old leaks on the moulding and cracks in the tile. Water heater did not have a brace for the expansion tank, had shark bites, no copper on the hot side and no tray under it. Could not test water due to dog in the backyard.
We met with the owners and set up in the front yard cleanout. We ran the trailer hydrojetter and were able to run past 100’ several times and worked the area around the location of the root intrusion. We also reset the master toilet as a courtesy of today’s work. A follow up camera inspection is scheduled for tomorrow morning. Perform main sewer line cleaning using hydro jetter through exterior cleanout left of front door. Attempt to break down/open root intrusion close to tap in. Does not include repairs. No warranty on drain cleaning.
On today’s visit I met with the homeowner. The homeowner expressed an issue with a slow draining kitchen sink drain. I wrote up estimates to perform work and received approval. I repiped the sink to get rid of the corrugated tubing. I also replaced the AAV. The drain still wasn’t draining properly so I cable the line. The sink is now draining properly at this time. I informed the homeowner if any clogs occur the next step would be to hydro jet. The homeowner is satisfied with the work completed at this time. I also poured the first dose of endure down the drain. Perform draining clearing on sink drain and trap. Drain clear trap only. Does not include repairs, branch or main line clearing. No warranty on drain clearing. Remove basket strainer and collar, includes replacement of: strainer, collar, tail piece extension, trap, and p-trap for one compartment sink, test and clean up work area. Endure treatment
Retrofit fluorescent light fixtures
Replace existing pool panel.
Today we came out because the homeowner painter changing the lightbulbs in their fluorescent fixtures. When the painter got to the last fixture, the lightbulbs would not turn on. Today we came out and did a ballast bypass for one light fixture.
On today’s visit, I installed a transformer and a Ring Doorbell. While I was here I also performed a troubleshoot for the basement lights not working.
Replaced existing outdoor light with a new customer supplied light. I sealed around the new fixture to ensure it is water resistant. I also ensured the light is working properly. I also discussed the issues that come with the challenger panel she has installed. I discussed the process to doing a service upgrade.
Remove and replace faulty circuit breaker

Came out to troubleshoot the lights and GFCI outlets in the master bathroom. Found that the existing devices had been damaged by a surge. Replaced the affected devices and tested everything; all lights and GFCI outlets are working properly. The electrical panel is currently full, so I recommended replacing the panel to allow us to install a whole-home surge protector. Customer will let us know if he would like to proceed.
Blank thermostat. Got power to the thermostat (ecobee) but thermostat didn’t work. Replaced thermostat and system works. Inspected system with no issue. We installed this thermostat last November and it’s under warranty.
Customer called us out for a blockage in the upstairs hall bathroom. I tested the toilet until it started to gurgle. We started by trying to clear the blockage with a flex shaft through the sink drain line. When that didn’t work we switched to pulling the toilet and clearing with a cable machine. I was successful in clearing the blockage. Tested the line with sink and tub. No back up. A sewer supervisor will be coming out 8- tomorrow morning. Flange is sitting a bit high and customer will be having the contractor who installed it fix this issue.
Re-secure garage light fixture to ceiling
Arrived on site to look at replacing a low voltage box for camera and a gate. The existing box was extremely small and getting water insides. We Replaced the outdoor junction box with a new 12x12 box. We replaced the conduit connectors and ensure that all conduit enters through the bottom. We also remade a cat 6 punch down on the inside of the jbox. Everything is working upon departure.

In addition I asked for an electrical panel installation estimate and the scope of the work involved. He was very thorough and patient in reviewing all details assiciated with the job. The cost estimate was expensive, but the job involved a significant amount of skilled labor and materials.

We had Joaquin P. as our tech and he was fantastic. He installed 2 ceiling fans, fixed improper wiring from previous owners, and added outlets on our patio. He got to work and we couldn't be happier with the results. The cost was about average, which still hits the wallet hard. Joaquin was so nice and so skilled that we told him that we wanted him as our tech for future jobs.
Was able to complete the assignment and detect another issue
