HVAC, Plumber & Electrical FAQs
The average cost to replace an electrical panel ranges from $1,595 - $3,000 depending on the amperage. The higher the amperage needed the more expensive the new electrical panel would be. Amp replacement is necessary when the existing system cannot be upgraded to meet new standard needs or when there is a safety risk to the existing system.
Tankless water heater cost in Marietta ranges from $1,500 to $5,000 depending on the size and type of the water heater being installed. Tankless water heaters have a higher initial price compared to tank heaters because of a more labor-intensive set-up if new gas and water lines are required for installation. For electrical tankless heaters, new electric wiring will probably not be needed for installation in most cases.
If you're experiencing AC not cooling your Marietta area home while the system is powered on, you could have a clogged or blocked coil. Unfortunately, a wide variety of debris can find its way into this equipment, including grass, dirt, and other contaminants. This can result in a serious clog, which can lead to a system malfunction. The best way to prevent this is with regular AC cleaning and maintenance visits.

No cool office. Upon arrival found thermostat off. Located 2004 Goodman furnace in back bathroom closet. Turned ac on and found 2015 trane 2 ton ac short cycling. Upon inspection found system was tripping low pressure switch causing the short cycling. Performed infrared leak detection on outdoor coil with a positive indication of a leak. Then pinpointed and confirmed leak with bubbles. Continues inspecting system to find weak dual capacitor, dirty ac, system lacks any flood protection and has no secondary drain pan. Blower motor has weak capacitor along with play in shaft indicating bearings are beginning to fail and blower wheel is very dirty. Furnace has single wall flue pipe and work heat exchanger. Compressor compromised due to oil loss from refrigerant leak. Spoke with owner informed him of cost of repairs and that the coil in need of replacing is not available locally and would have to be ordered eta is a week out minimum. Customer to get quote on replacing system tod
At arrival on 07/15/26 Issue: water leaking in drain pan System: basement system. Finding: system will freeze at time to time when only 1 zone is calling. System is a standard AC that handles 2 zones, improper zone design. Potentially clogged up drain line. Recommendations: Needs to upgrade to a Dakin fit, replace zone board and zone dampers. Or design 2 separate systems. Set a lead for today.
For this job I came out , removed and replaced old water heater with new tankless navien 240a2 , exhaust and intake were vented through roof, roofer came out and installed flashing. I also added an ice maker box running a line through out attic, home water lines are ran through attic. I insulated and batted my lines in attic. I installed a gas shut off valve for stove , reworked and rebuild kitchen tubular. Also added gas regulator at meter for 2 pound system upgrade. Tested and checked for leaks and conducted a super clean up.
Very professional! Very detailed!
Ac/coil change out with supply plenum and dragonfly board
Homeowner called us out to replace the tub filler in the master bathroom and install an ice maker near the bar sink in the kitchen. Today, I installed the ice maker and isolation stop valves for the supplies for the tub filler. I also installed an access panel where I had to gain access for the water stops below the tub. All work was tested and checked for leaks The homeowner will call us back out when new tub filler is in.
Main Level - Not cooling 15 year old Goodman system located in the basement. System is not cooling due to age related issues. The dual capacitor that powers the fan and compressor is weak, but not completely dead. The fan comes on and spins very slowly, but the compressor only hums for a second then shuts down. I installed a new capacitor temporarily to see if the fan and compressor would come on, only the fan came on the compressor still continued to hum for a longer rate. I checked the windings on the compressor and the start winding is below manufactures operating parameters, and the run winding is borderline below operating manufacture parameters. I let the homeowner know that we could add a start assist kit to this compressor to see if we could get it to come on, but there would be no guarantee on how long that would last given the age and condition of the compressor. Due to the age, condition, refrigerant type, and cost of temporary repairs, I recommended having an install super
For this job, I troubleshot an intermittent issue and replaced a smart breaker
Install 2 new dedicated circuits to existing outlets for the bidets in master and hallway bathrooms. Replace 3 customer supplied flood lights. Replace two back exterior outlets and install new covers. Troubleshoot living room ceiling fan.
Remove and replace faulty load shed
Performed a troubleshoot for a hot tub and a ceiling fan. Hot tub has power, and I was reading proper voltage. I advised the homeowner to contact the company that made the hot tub to have a specialist look at it. I also replaced the remote kit for the fan with a new kit provided by the homeowner.
Upon arrival, met with customer and spoke with them regarding their issue. Customer showed me inside and to the basement kitchen. Customer states they would like a disposal installed and have already purchased one to be installed. There is not currently a disposal installed but there is electrical to hardwire the new one in. I presented the customer with an option to install a customer supplied disposal and after getting signature approval I began work. Removed the old basket strainer and tubular drains on the right side of the sink. Installed new disposal bracket and tightened it securely. Hardwired new disposal and made the proper electrical connections. Secured disposal to the bracket and locked in place. Reconnected tubular drainage after adjusting it to fit the new disposal. Returned power and ran water and tested for leaks. No leaks. Disposal is draining and running correctly at this time. Cleaned work area. Customer is satisfied.
No cool on the upstairs due to breaker being tripped. I reset breaker and system works. Inspected system. Checked pressures, amperage on motor and compressor, checked dual capacitor, contactor and wires connections. Drain line is clear and temperature differential in range. Dual capacitor was reading low (33 on a 35 ). Replaced dual capacitor, as customer requested. System is working pat this visit, with no other issue.
Remove and replace exterior light fixture
Customer was having an issue with toilet in daughter bathroom. After my inspection of the toilet I found when flush toilet water leaks from under the tank. Whole home Rheem system not working and tstat keeps going on and off Upon arrival I noticed tstat was off so I went and checked indoor unit and looked in pan and wet switch but there was no water in pan and wet switch was not tripped. Next I looked at the inline ss1 safety and there was water backed up into system it causing system to shut off Discussed all options with homeowner and they decided to sign up for our Homecare membership in which I included clearing the drain line as part of their visit today and we charged for service call and sign up for HC. Drain line has been cleared and system is running properly Thank you for choosing TE Certified!
Today I came out due to no power to thermostat. Thermostat controls main level and furnace is a Rheem Select located in crawlspace. Upon arrival thermostat was blank. This was due to water inside safety float switch. Condensation pump drains correctly and float switch is in correct evaporator port. Customer stated system has been off last several days. I asked if they lost power to thermostat house and they said they had due to a storm. I believe once power was knocked out, system drained all remaining water into pump, but it couldn’t push it out, and as a result backed up tripping the float switch. All water has been removed, pump tested, and system is cooling. It was a pleasure to meet you today and I hope you have a great summer!
Initial concerns of upstairs unit not cooling at all and main floor unit not cooling adequately. Noticed upstairs system fully iced over and indoor blower motor not running. Main floor system running. Both filters extremely dirty and have not been replaced for at least the last year. Both filters replaced with approval. Capacitor replaced for upstairs furnace to get the blower running. Unable to accurately determine refrigerant pressures for the upstairs unit due to the ice. Advised homeowner to leave the system off for at least 3 to 4 hours to let the ice melt. Main floor system slightly low on refrigerant, though the unit is nearing 30 years old and it contains R22 refrigerant. R22 refrigerant is no longer obtainable. System replacement recommended for main floor. Drain pan water safeties are poor, and there are no drain line water safeties. Gas lines are also not up to code. Several other components weak throughout both systems. The shared drain line was badly clogged. Cleared with
I replaced 2 master closet lights with customer provided wrap lights.
Replaced broken outlet boxes
Installed battery operated smoke detectors under warranty. Installed new customer provided bath fan and vented fan into soffit.
Arrived on site to troubleshoot a Goodman split system not cooling. Electrical came out and found the issue was the system being frozen. They called us and we found the blower cutting out intermittently, causing freezing. We isolated the motor and was able to determine the board is the problem keeping the fan running. We will look to see if they have any available tomorrow after the meeting and will call with my update. Collected payment for the diagnosis via CC.
