HVAC, Plumber & Electrical FAQs
The average cost to replace an electrical panel ranges from $1,595 - $3,000 depending on the amperage. The higher the amperage needed the more expensive the new electrical panel would be. Amp replacement is necessary when the existing system cannot be upgraded to meet new standard needs or when there is a safety risk to the existing system.
Tankless water heater cost in Marietta ranges from $1,500 to $5,000 depending on the size and type of the water heater being installed. Tankless water heaters have a higher initial price compared to tank heaters because of a more labor-intensive set-up if new gas and water lines are required for installation. For electrical tankless heaters, new electric wiring will probably not be needed for installation in most cases.
If you're experiencing AC not cooling your Marietta area home while the system is powered on, you could have a clogged or blocked coil. Unfortunately, a wide variety of debris can find its way into this equipment, including grass, dirt, and other contaminants. This can result in a serious clog, which can lead to a system malfunction. The best way to prevent this is with regular AC cleaning and maintenance visits.

Troubleshoot no power to room
We were called out for a GFI not working along witha few receptacles in the break room
Customer was still having issues after replacing the prv 7/10. After talking g it over with multiple TE plumbers. We came to the conclusion that the static pressure of the neighborhood is high and is reaching high as 150psi when there no water being use. Recommend to customer to talk to the HOA if possible about the outside pressure. But as now we recommend installing a high Pressure PRV switch will keep the static pressure down so the original prv we installed can maintain the house pressure better and stop making loud noise. Issue is resolved thanks for choosing TE Certified.
For this call, homeowner called in about a water heater leaking from the top. Upon arrival, we inspected the heater and noticed water spurting out of the vent opening on the top leading us to believe the tank itself was compromised. Checked the water pressure as well and when running a fixture it would drop 30-40 psi then would recover back to 60 in a few seconds leading us to believe the PRV had gone bad as well. Homeowner had another issue to look at while we were here and the hall bathroom had a tub spout that was not tight to the valve and when touched it would easily bend. Gave multiple quotes to resolve that issue and replace water heater with different warranty ranges. Homeowner went with the 6 year and fixing the tub spout. We went to get material and when we returned began work. Had to cut tile in the hall shower to reach the valve and went ahead and re worked the valve so that it would sit tight in place by adding new females and hangers to the piping. Let homeowner know if t
Today we replaced a 3 way switch and properly mounted a vanity light fixture which had fallen from the wall

Today I responded to diagnose a communicating thermostat that was stuck on the startup screen and would not complete the boot process. I verified proper 24-volt power to the thermostat (26 VAC between R and B/C) and confirmed communication voltage was present on the data circuit (approximately 12V). I also verified the indoor communicating control board had power with normal LED operation and confirmed the HVC communicating relay panel was powered, the Bit Master LED was illuminated, and the communication LED was actively blinking, indicating communication activity. I power-cycled the system and inspected the thermostat connections, but the thermostat continued to remain stuck in the boot sequence. Based on all diagnostic testing performed today, I have narrowed the issue down to what appears to be a failed Trane XL850 communicating thermostat. A replacement thermostat has been ordered through Trane and is expected to be available tomorrow. Customer also informed me that another HVAC c
Initial observations of heat pump system leaking water revealed the evaporator coil impacted with dirt, drywall dust and organic matter. The blower wheel and inner cabinet are also consumed by these same conditions. The drain line is clogged with dirt and bacterial sludge. The coil pan where the pvc connects is cracked. Temperature/pressure correlation of refrigerant charge is very low suggesting a refrigerant leak. The condenser coil is also very dirty and should be cleaned. This system has too many costly repairs and is recommended for replacement. Please contact me with questions or concerns and to schedule a consultation with an installation manager about system replacement options. Wayne Daniels service technician: 678-995-1773
I replaced a box and light in the upstairs bedroom. I also replaced a doorbell chime kit and transformer. Recommended customer took another look at Andrew’s estimate and updated/resent it over via email.
Arrived on site to remove the existing hvac system from the garage to allow another construction crew to install a beam in the garage. We removed electrical, gas lines, plenums and recovered refrigerant before cutting lineset as well. They wanted the gas line removed fully but it serves the water heater and I didn’t want to leave them without hot water for that long so they asked if I could return tomorrow to take care of that for the. System is moved, system is off and only thing that we’re need to do is return tomorrow install the equipment and to remove the gas line tomorrow as well.
Homeowner has a hose spigot that is constantly dripping. The constant dripping has caused water to pool below the spigot, at the foundation of the house, which has caused some minor water damage to the wall. The hose spigot should be replaced. Cut out and removed failed hose spigot and hose spigot isolation valve. Cleaned and prepped existing copper. Installed new quarter turn ball valve as isolation valve for hose spigot. Installed approximately 1’ of new 1/2” type L copper and connected onto existing copper. Installed new hose spigot. Mounted hose spigot to wall. Installed approximately 8” of new 1/2” type L copper. There is a rather large hole from where the hose spigot goes through the wall. Sealed hole and around hose spigot with clear caulk. Water pressure is 60 PSI Water heater is a 40 gallon natural gas from 2023 Thermal expansion tank is functioning at time of invoice
At arrival on 07/13/26 found whole home system cooling with water in the drain pan. Drain line is clogged up. The drain line is not pitched right, improper p-trap. Glued everywhere. Gave options to clean drain line and repair most visible drain line, and install a wet safety switch. replace the drain line underneath the furnace until drain downflow. The drain line is glued everywhere. Drain line could be leaking into the drain pan. Homeowner only approved to clear drain line. Properly cleared the drain line. Tested system System is cooling properly at this time.
Like Casey. Professional and courtesy
Terms of unit not shutting off when the thermostat satisfies. Homeowner mentioned outdoor unit was frosting over at one point as well. Noticed indoor filters to be extremely dirty. Both filters removed. Cycle system three separate times to fully satisfy the thermostat. System satisfied and powered off all three times. Advised homeowner that there could still be potential issues, and estimates have been attached for each. System operating properly upon departure. Thank you for choosing TE certified!
Homeowner had no hot water due to the pilot light going out and noticed water in the pan. The condensate drains and T and P are ran into a 2 inch drain and the drain backs up when water in draining into it. Recommend getting a drain tech to inspect and clear the line. The water would back up into the pan. Relit the pilot light and set to homeowners preferred temperature. Left quote to replace the failed PRV - Pressure Reducing Valve.
Replaced five standard breakers for dual functions, installed a whole home surge protector under panel, separated all neutrals and replaced two gfci devices with standard decora and duplex outlets
Troubleshoot tripped breaker
Arrived for water leaking through the ceiling. I found the drain line had clogged and water backed up into the unit and filled the return plenum with water. This eventually let water over flow in the return branch ducts and leak on the ceiling in the master bath and also leak from the supply vent in the master bath. I recommended to add flood protection devices and replace the saturated duct on top of the drain line repair. Customer agreed. I vacuumed around 14 gallons of water from the return plenum and duct work. Added the safety switches to the drain pan and secondary drain port at the air handler. I also cleared the drain and flushed water to ensure drain was actually draining properly. The ductwork will have to be replaced Monday or Tuesday morning. The customer did pay for the repairs in full today. No balance owed on next visit.
Today I came across a failed damper that was causing system to freeze up. Customer agreed for me to upgrade their zone board and dampers today. I installed the devices and tested for normal operations. System is cooling now with no issues. Customer is happy
Homeowner has a toilet that is leaking from the wax seal. The supply line for the toilet is also a built in supply line. The toilet needs to be pulled and reset. The stop valve should be replaced to allow for a proper supply line. Disconnected toilet from water. Removed closet nuts and pulled toilet. Toilet does not have a wax seal, the toilet has a rubber seal on the flange. The flange is slightly twisted as well. The flange itself is in otherwise good condition, no visible damage at this time. Installed new wax ring with horn. Installed new nylon closet bolts. Installed toilet and new china caps. Floor is not completely even, toilet required shims on the front. Caulked toilet to floor with white caulk. Homeowner does not want to move forward with replacing the stop valve at this time.

Jeremy was incredibly knowledgeable. He took the time to answer questions (I had lots of them!) & to explain everything from start to finish. He was professional and friendly. 10/10 recommend him & TE Certified!!
Replacement sqwof service mast, attachment point, new service wire, and weather head. Replacement was caused by tree limb fell on over head service line and broke mast off home.
He arrived early, got straight to work, found the problem quickly, fixed the problem quickly, offered me extra maintenance service but didn’t push back when I declined. I will definitely recommend TE Certified. I rate price fewer stars only because I know how much the part replaced actually costs.
Installed new washer box. Old valves were starting to leak and appliance installers would not install new washer until valves were replaced. During the installation, the cold water copper pipe broke at one of the solder joints. We replaced a section of piping from the washer box to the manifold in the wall. Thank you for choosing TE Certified!
The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today. Outdoor capacitor failed. Replaced with approval. System 20 years old. System contains R22. Outdoor coil dirty. Several components weak throughout, and system is on its last leg. System cooling upon departure. Thank you for choosing TE certified!
Replaced customer supplied faucet for filtered water at the kitchen sink. Faucet is supplied by 1/4 inch soft copper with a saddle valve in the basement. Customer was quoted what it would cost to do the install correctly but chose to have it done with parts supplied with no warranty on the work or connections. Tested for leaks and function. No issues. Quoted water heater due to age.
Eric was professions, polite, thorough and efficient. I was shown in detail any concerns and given options per pricing to help determine my best options. Thank you so much.

Chad did a fantastic job installing our new water heater and bringing everything up to code. I highly recommend him if you want it done right.
Dylan outlined the options for connecting the larger gas supply line to the smaller gas dryer feed. He was knowledgeable in the materials, scope of work and tools required to complete the work.
Andrew came on time. There was a minor problem that he was able to fix. He gave us an estimate of a permanent fix, but didn’t pressure us in any way.
Genis arrived first thing and was able to provide solutions within the hour. He was upfront about the cost and time to complete the job. He was thorough in his explanations. We’d highly recommend TE and Genis for his outstanding service.
I had used TE Certified for my own home and was extremely pleased. So when I needed this for my client, I said I definitely wanted the best. Caleb, was on time, extremely polite and got right to work. He found what was wrong and he fixed it. Couldn’t ask for anything better.
Jeff Currie arrived at our home at the beginning of the expected visit and was professional and efficient. He understood the issue we were having with our tankless water heater and checked out the issue and solving the problem. He made recommendations for what we could do ourselves should this happen again. We have used TE Certified several times and will continue to do so in the future. Thank you, Jeff.
TE Certified did a great job. I had an AC issue and they were able come come out within 24 hours. The tech explained the issue and got it resolved timely for a fair price. The tech was very courteous. I would highly recommend TE Certified
My experience with TE, specifically Craig Garnto, was one of the best home service experiences I’ve ever had. Craig showed up to our initial appointment and I gave him a long list of about 15 things I needed done to my home’s electric; which included installing new outlets in hard-to-reach places, fixing strange switch configurations, and installing a new ceiling fan box. Craig was very friendly and patient as I explained all of my concerns and needs. The quote I received was fair for the amount work I needed done. On the day of the actual work, Craig and his co-worker showed up bright and early and stayed over 10 hours until the job was done. Craig was able to troubleshoot multiple issues and made sure everything was perfect before they left. Thanks for getting our home squared away Craig!
I had a shower valve leaking and they took care of the valve. It works great and is no longer leaking. While checking on the water pressure for the house the technician noticed the water heater was about to cause some major issues, it was 19 years old, and replace that for me as well. Great job! And thank you.
