HVAC, Plumber & Electrical FAQs
The average cost to replace an electrical panel ranges from $1,595 - $3,000 depending on the amperage. The higher the amperage needed the more expensive the new electrical panel would be. Amp replacement is necessary when the existing system cannot be upgraded to meet new standard needs or when there is a safety risk to the existing system.
Tankless water heater cost in Marietta ranges from $1,500 to $5,000 depending on the size and type of the water heater being installed. Tankless water heaters have a higher initial price compared to tank heaters because of a more labor-intensive set-up if new gas and water lines are required for installation. For electrical tankless heaters, new electric wiring will probably not be needed for installation in most cases.
If you're experiencing AC not cooling your Marietta area home while the system is powered on, you could have a clogged or blocked coil. Unfortunately, a wide variety of debris can find its way into this equipment, including grass, dirt, and other contaminants. This can result in a serious clog, which can lead to a system malfunction. The best way to prevent this is with regular AC cleaning and maintenance visits.

Homeowner had noticed a wet spot on the main floor ceiling. The master bathroom is above the wet spot. Cut open section of drywall and located a copper pinhole leak. Shut the water off at the street and drained system down. Cut out failed section of copper. Cleaned copper and installed new section and secured. Turned water on and purged air from the system. Everything is working properly at this time. Referred The Patch boys for the drywall repair
This job I conducted leak detection services as a TGL for original technician Jacob out of Kennesaw shop. During this investigation, I observed that the homeowner has an irrigation system that they have shut off in different zones because no master irrigation valve exists about 5 inches in front of the meter tease off the main PVC line via shark bite and transitions from pecks 90s down the left side of the driveway and transitions into PVC to feed the irrigation system. I advised the homeowner that since they don’t use the system they should have this line capped. I discovered the leak about 10 feet off the meter in the left side of the yard on a hill to the left of the driveway area has been marked with flag.
Installed dishwasher outlet and gfci protected circuit. Dishwasher already has appliance cord and the appliance tech will plug the new one in.
For this job, we replaced all the existing RF connected smoke detectors with the wireless interconnected BRK smoke detectors. We also installed a new one in the basement bedroom.
Customer had a bad leak in their house that damaged many rooms from the upstairs all the way down to the basement. They had a few circuits not working. 2 basement outlet circuits, washer/ laundry room, and the oven/microwave. I found that these circuit were double tapped on breakers, and because of the heavy load of the dehumidifier and fans the breakers tripped. The customer decided to go with the bandaid solution, which was separating out all the circuit in the sub panel so that each circuit had its own breaker. I also replaced a few challenger breakers with Eaton BR breakers.
Called out to address leak in basement ceiling. Advised homeowner that I would need to start with a leak search first to cut up in the ceiling to find what was leaking. Homeowner agreed and work with started. Began by cutting open a section of the ceiling in the basement. Found that there were two separate leaks, one on a three-quarter line and one on a half inch line completely unrelated. Gave the homeowner options for doing spot repairs and for doing a repipe of the house due to them having multiple pin hole leaks in the past. homeowner visor they have already done a repipe on the top floor of the home and would be interested in an estimate for re-piping the copper in the basement ceiling serving the main floor. Homeowner chose to go with the spot repair temporarily but if they choose to move forward with a partial house re-pipe, they will reach out to get on the schedule. Advised homeowner that if they choose to do the repipe that I will credit today’s visit towards the repipe. Beg
Replaced the outdoor GFCI on the back patio, separated doubled up ground and neutral in the sub panel and installed a small ground bar and fixed the open neutral outlets upstairs where faulty devices caused a neutral loss to the remaining outlets.
Homeowner has a gas line that feeds a fireplace that she would like capped off. The gas line is 1/2” black iron and fully accessible from below. Shut gas off at isolation valve. Removed flexible gas connector. Installed 1/2” black iron cap on gas line. Sprayed with leak detector spray to test for leaks. Ensured pilot lights are lit after work was completed. The fireplace was originally a gas fireplace, however the homeowner wants to use it for wood. Advised and discussed with homeowner that removing the gas from the fireplace does not make it a wood burning fireplace, as there are other requirements for wood burning fireplaces, I.e. the chimney. Advised homeowner to not use the fireplace until a fireplace company has inspected the fireplace and approved it for use with wood burning. The water pressure is 60 PSI The water heater is a NG water heater from 2021 The thermal expansion tank is working at time of invoice
Upon arrival. Met with customer and spoke with her regarding the issue they’re experiencing. Customer showed us inside and upstairs to the master bathroom. Customer states the toilet is clogged and not flushing. Customer states all other fixtures are working properly at this time. We confirmed the clog in the toilet and also inspected the customer’s water heater. The water did show signs of corrosion/rusting on the hot side outlet. Customer will inform their spouse and reach out to us if necessary. We gave the customer estimates to auger the toilet or pull and clear any obstructions if there is an object stuck inside it. Customer agreed and after getting signature approval we began work. Augered toilet and made several passes unable to get past hard object stuck inside toilet. We informed the customer and then removed the toilet. Cleaned old wax and inspected flange. Flange in good condition at this time. Removed plastic object from inside the toilet. Set toilet back in place with a ne

For this job, we replaced a flood light with a customer supplied ring flood light.
The customer’s microwave was tripping the breaker and when he reset the breaker it would trip again. I checked the breaker and wiring at the panel and at the outlet above the stove and did not find any issues wrong with the wiring. I unplugged the microwave, pulled the receptacle out and checked for any issues and non was found. I installed a new spark guard and secured the floating device down properly. We took a lamp and plugged it in and turned it on to show the homeowner the circuits wiring and the device is in working order. In the sub-panel I removed a non listed duel function GE breaker and supplied and installed a new type Homeline as the manufacturer calls for. I left an estimate to separate the neutrals inside the main and sub-panel along with whole home surge protection.
Called out to address master bathroom toilet leaking into the basement ceiling. Upon arrival homeowner advised me that he had already changed the wax ring and was continuing to leak afterwards. Homeowner also asked me to check the water pressure to make sure it was still in a safe operating pressure. I found that the pressure was at 90 psi so I recommended the homeowner replace the prv. Gave the homeowner multiple options for doing all repairs today or to do them on different visits. Homeowner agreed to do all repairs today and work was started. Began by shutting off water to the home and draining the system. Once system was drained, cut out old main shut off, PRV, and shut off for the hose bib on the side of the house. Installed new quarter main shut off with a new dual chamber all brass PRV. Set point for prv is 65. Also installed a new quarter ball valve for the hose bib. I replaced the hose bib as a courtesy due to the hose bib being stuck open and needing to remove it in order t
