HVAC, Plumber & Electrical FAQs
The average cost to replace an electrical panel ranges from $1,595 - $3,000 depending on the amperage. The higher the amperage needed the more expensive the new electrical panel would be. Amp replacement is necessary when the existing system cannot be upgraded to meet new standard needs or when there is a safety risk to the existing system.
Tankless water heater cost in Marietta ranges from $1,500 to $5,000 depending on the size and type of the water heater being installed. Tankless water heaters have a higher initial price compared to tank heaters because of a more labor-intensive set-up if new gas and water lines are required for installation. For electrical tankless heaters, new electric wiring will probably not be needed for installation in most cases.
If you're experiencing AC not cooling your Marietta area home while the system is powered on, you could have a clogged or blocked coil. Unfortunately, a wide variety of debris can find its way into this equipment, including grass, dirt, and other contaminants. This can result in a serious clog, which can lead to a system malfunction. The best way to prevent this is with regular AC cleaning and maintenance visits.

Attempt to clear shower blockage Customer called us out for a shower blockage in the master bathroom. Upon arrival customer stated the master shower started to puddle after a few minutes of running water. We tested the bathroom group for a potential mainline blockage and after running water in the fixtures only the shower was being affected. The customer agreed to attempt to restore proper flow in the shower. We ran our cable machine in the shower drain and we noticed hair and calcium buildup. We were successful in restoring proper flow after multiple attempts. The customer was present during our work, we tested the shower by running water and we saw the water drain properly. Use cable/jetting and camera to restore flow and get a visual of sewer to identify potential issues and quote for repairs if needed. Will credit some or all of this towards the next scope of work. Attempted to restore flow using cable and Jetter and camera inspected. Unable to fully restore flow and will be returning Tuesday to remove section of Sheetrock in surgery lab where the sinks that are affected tie in together. This will allow us to get better access to see and locate the problem with the camera.

Arrived on site and customer had a leaking Prv up in the utility room . We replaced the Prv and set pressure to 60 psi . We also noticed customer had a heater of 2006 , and provided options to replace . Customer decided to wait at this time . Water is back on to the home without further issues .
For this call, homeowner was wanting some information as out getting estimates for their water heater as it was getting up in age. Once we arrived, we checked out heater and saw it was from about 2011 so it was likely getting close to needing replacement. Recommended the replacement with the anode rod kit to the homeowner to which they agreed. They also had a PRV that was most likely original to the home, so roughly 30 years old, that we would bundle a new PRV in if also decided to get done today to which they agreed as well. Installed the new water heater in with a tough pan, and tested all of work and going throughout home to make sure there were no issues with getting hot water or leaks. PRV was set to 65 PSI and set the expansion tank to the heater at 75 PSI. At this time, everything is working as it should. Thank you for trusting TE Certified with all your plumbing needs.

No Cool- Upstairs- 2020 Trane Found outdoor unit not running. Checked the unit and found the capacitor had failed. Also noticed the old plastic disconnects were missing the doors. Recommended those be replaced and to add water safety devices to the upstairs unit. Customer agreed to make recommended repairs. Old disconnects were removed and new disconnects were installed. Added Turbo capacitor to main floor outdoor unit and water safety devices to the upstairs furnace. All items were tested and functional. The main floor was also not cooling when I arrived. There was an error code in the thermostat. Never really found the cause for the error A998_O. I updated the equipment through the Rheem app. Everything is currently running normal.
No cool upstairs. TE installed 2022 2.5 ton equipment with new homeowner. Parts under warranty labor is not. Found leak in the filter dryer, sold repairs for today. Upon starting repairs found liquid line service valve to be broken, spoke with customer and we decided to add 3LBS of refrigerant today get valve ordered and do valve at no charge since repairs are similar to filter dryer leaking. Parts ordered and will arrive next week. Return visit scheduled for next Wednesday all day.
Today we came out to install a circuit from the panel to the attic for an attic fan as well as a light in the attic.
Installed a new dimmer for the kitchen lighting.
For this call, homeowner was having some pressure issues throughout the home. Upon arrival, we tested the water pressure at the water heater and saw it was reading 80 originally but when running a fixture or two, it would drop drastically to at least 30 psi, indicating that the PRV has failed. Homeowner also informed us that they have a water softener system. After we installed the new PRV, we set their pressure to 70 and tested all work for leaks and functionality. No leaks. After testing the new PRV through the softener system of the home, we found that there were still some partial pressure drops when running multiple fixtures but not to the degree that it was with the old failed PRV. After bypassing the softener system and re-testing the pressure we found that there were no significant pressure drops in the home unless they were running the three handle tub in the upstairs guest bathroom, and that’s only because the fixture is original to the home, and is a very high flow fixture d
Inspected for leak. Found that the condensation pump was not pumping and dripping onto the floor. This seems to be the source of the water around the water heater. Replaced leaking water valve and installed thermal expansion tank to code. Tested for leaks and function, all good. Thank you for choosing T.E. Certified.
Electrical service upgrade
For this call, homeowner was wanting to get a shower valve replaced as they previously had a three handle shower and whenever they would flush, they would get a shock of hot water because of no existing mixing valve. Home owner agreed to let us begin work, so went to get some parts for the shower and returned and began to remove the old shower and opened up behind the valve beneath the cabinet. After completely installing, we checked our work multiple times. We cleaned up and caulked the finish of the shower. Everything is working as it should at this time. Thank you for trusting TE Certified with all your plumbing needs.
Jeff Currie arrived at our home at the beginning of the expected visit and was professional and efficient. He understood the issue we were having with our tankless water heater and checked out the issue and solving the problem. He made recommendations for what we could do ourselves should this happen again. We have used TE Certified several times and will continue to do so in the future. Thank you, Jeff.
TE Certified did a great job. I had an AC issue and they were able come come out within 24 hours. The tech explained the issue and got it resolved timely for a fair price. The tech was very courteous. I would highly recommend TE Certified
My experience with TE, specifically Craig Garnto, was one of the best home service experiences I’ve ever had. Craig showed up to our initial appointment and I gave him a long list of about 15 things I needed done to my home’s electric; which included installing new outlets in hard-to-reach places, fixing strange switch configurations, and installing a new ceiling fan box. Craig was very friendly and patient as I explained all of my concerns and needs. The quote I received was fair for the amount work I needed done. On the day of the actual work, Craig and his co-worker showed up bright and early and stayed over 10 hours until the job was done. Craig was able to troubleshoot multiple issues and made sure everything was perfect before they left. Thanks for getting our home squared away Craig!
I had a shower valve leaking and they took care of the valve. It works great and is no longer leaking. While checking on the water pressure for the house the technician noticed the water heater was about to cause some major issues, it was 19 years old, and replace that for me as well. Great job! And thank you.
On a hot day I wasn't expected to get service in a few hours, but I did! I knew the issue, they addressed and fixed asap.
They came on time and worked quickly. It's a pleasure dealing with your crew!

I booked online and got a same-day appointment. TE sent a message with the technician’s name and picture. Kyle called 30 minutes before arriving and arrived early in the window I was given. He did a thorough inspection and diagnosed the issue. Kyle arranged for a supervisor to come and reinspect and provide options and quotes for repairs.
From the moment I called and explained the situation, the first line staff were nothing short of AMAZING! I made an appointment for the following day and they called me back after hearing my story and sent a specialist out late afternoon on the same day. Andrew was also amazing. He understood the issue, offered several options and we now have water to the house on a temporary fix and lined up to replace the main water line. After a week of no water and delays from another company, I’ve never been so excited to do laundry! Thank you doesn’t seem to be enough.
Great service, good guy
