HVAC, Plumber & Electrical FAQs
The average cost to replace an electrical panel ranges from $1,595 - $3,000 depending on the amperage. The higher the amperage needed the more expensive the new electrical panel would be. Amp replacement is necessary when the existing system cannot be upgraded to meet new standard needs or when there is a safety risk to the existing system.
Tankless water heater cost in Marietta ranges from $1,500 to $5,000 depending on the size and type of the water heater being installed. Tankless water heaters have a higher initial price compared to tank heaters because of a more labor-intensive set-up if new gas and water lines are required for installation. For electrical tankless heaters, new electric wiring will probably not be needed for installation in most cases.
If you're experiencing AC not cooling your Marietta area home while the system is powered on, you could have a clogged or blocked coil. Unfortunately, a wide variety of debris can find its way into this equipment, including grass, dirt, and other contaminants. This can result in a serious clog, which can lead to a system malfunction. The best way to prevent this is with regular AC cleaning and maintenance visits.

Homeowner had noticed discoloration in the dining room ceiling. Set plastic down and cut open section off drywall. Above is a jack and Jill style bathroom. Did not notice and moisture or leaks in the ceiling. Ran bathroom fixtures to test for leaks. No leaks occurred. Homeowner had Repiped the house in pex. Water pressure is 70 psi
Upon arrival spoke with the customer about a hose seized to the side hose bib. Gave options. Replaced hose bib and shut off valve. Added a vacuum break to hose bib and insulated piping. Added valve tag and sealed hose bib on the outside of home. All work was tested for leaks and functionality.
Upon arrival met with customer and spoke with her regarding their issue. Customer showed me inside and stated the tub is draining slowly and a lavatory faucet is leaking in the same bathroom. I confirmed both these issues. Tub has a lever style overflow assembly with a plumber obstructing flow and the p trap under the tub has a slip joint which is not code compliant. I presented customer with options to repair the tub drain and repair or replace the lavatory faucets. Customer agreed to only fix the tub today and after getting signature approval and getting the necessary materials I began work. Cut out and removed tub p trap and waste & overflow assembly. Installed new 1 1/2” glue only p trap and new overflow assembly. After completing the install I tested for leaks. No leaks. Tub was still draining slightly slow. Snaked cast iron piping further downstream and tub is now draining quickly. Cleaned work area. Customer is satisfied.
Furnace Install
Performed four system HVAC Homecare Inspection. Technician checked heating and cooling operations, tested flood protection devices, cleaned all condensation drains and condensation pump for the basement, changed filters as needed, and observed system performances. Technician cleaned the condenser coil for the master bedroom system and replaced a portion of the insulation to refrigerant line for the upstairs system. Technician recommended upgrading the filtration systems for the main, basement, and master bedroom system. A Uv system will benefit the systems to decreased germs and prevent biological growth.
No cool. Twin systems, sharing same thermostat. System #2 has bad compressor. It’s shorten to grown and tripping the breaker. System I 12 years old, works with r22(Freon). System #1 is the only system trying to cool the entire office. It’s working with very high head pressure and high compressor amperage of 14 amps (it shouldn’t be higher than 15 amps, by the label). This system is 15 years old, and works with r22(Freon), as well. System #2 need to be replaced , due to being using r22 to cool. Also, recommend to replace system #1 as well. It’s struggling and compressor is not in good condition. Set a lead to quote upgrading for this afternoon. We should credit back 98,00 spent today, if customer replaced the system with us.
Replaced faucet, emergency shutoffs and pop up assembly with trap. Tested all for leaks and function. No issues.
Customer had a key valve for fireplace that was leaking. Had to jackhammer existing key valve out and install a new one. Also installed a shutoff valve for fireplace in basement so gas could be turned off to this fixture

Homeowner called his cell to search for a leak coming from upstairs bathtub. The homeowner stated that the leak started while their daughter was taking a bath. After running several test for over an hour, I was unable to re-create or find the leak. I informed the homeowner to continue to use the bathtub and try to get photo/video evidence of the leak and where it’s coming from. I also recommended that the homeowner inspect the surrounding area of the tub in bathroom during and after the bath.
Installed a new weather resistant outlet and cover by the pond, a new box with a weather resistant GFCI and box in the pool shed and Installed the correct breaker size and brand for the pool panel.
Performed inspection of the QO neutral panel. Verified connections and torqued all applicable terminals to 25 lb-in per specifications. Panel is in proper working condition at time of departure.

No Cool Visit Upstairs System Compressor wire on contactor was completely burned uff while the other was charred but still connected. Repaired wire and used test capacitor but compressor did not turn over. Equipment is 1988 and cannot be repaired.
For this job the customer stated that her electric water heater periodically made a distinct humming noise. Further inspection showed an aged water heater, approximately 10 years old, indicating that the elements were struggling to keep up. I informed the customer that a replacement would be the best option which she agreed. There was also an access panel located behind the water heater where the pressure regulator was located. I informed the customer that while the water heater was out during the replacement it would be a great time to upgrade her pressure regulator. Water was shut off to the home and the old water was removed. I then replaced the pressure regulator without the need to cut dry wall and kept the same access panel. The new water heater was then plumbed in accordance with local code. Work was performed and thoroughly tested for leaks and proper function. Thank you for choosing TE Certified
