came out because this customer was concerned about airflow. I found that one side of house wasn’t getting sufficient airflow. this is happening because there is not enough return air going into the system. The other reason is that the duct runs are excessively long duct runs and negatively impacting airflow. Longer duct runs increase friction and static pressure, leading to reduced airflow and potentially affecting the efficiency of the HVAC system. My suggestion is to have an install supervisor out to further excess the matter or consider a mini splits for the affected side of the house. The customer also stated that he smelled gas at the furnace so i performed a leak check and there was gas leaking. I repaired the leak ran the system for about 30 minutes and everything is now working according to specifications.

The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today. Connections on contactor became loose and fell off touching ground and tripping breaker. Replaced contactor and system is now cooling. Also recommended to replace whip, and install flood protection on indoor unit.

Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system. compressor going out. Running over 400 psi on high side for R22. Contactor is pitted and old. Cap has some rusted terminals. Coil is very dirty. Compressor running at over 26 amps. Name plate calls for 18 max. Compressor also overloads and starts to hiss after about 5 minutes of run time. Recommendations: replace over repair due to cost and warranty and system being R22 and over 20 yrs old.

Came out to perform a home care maintenance. I found that the R410 A system is from 2022. I found that the furnace filter was extremely dirty and restricting airflow. I also found that the blower wheel/motor was also dirty, which can lead to the motor overheating and failing. There also what looks to be from biological growth in the system. The outside unit needs a chemical-condenser coil cleaning. overall, the system is mechanically sound just requires a little maintenance to prevent breakdowns. The AC disconnects was smoking when I took out the disconnect breaker. I replaced the AC disconnect. Install a wet-switch, clean the condenser coils and blower wheel. I ran the system for about 30 minutes and the system is working according to specifications.

Water Distribution system: The majority of the water distribution system is ran in 1/2 in CPVC. The main water line is made of 3/4 PVC, and the PRV is located in difficult to reach area. Approximately 80% of the CPVC is covered in sprayed on insulation foam, making repairs difficult. Due to the amount of insulation, the piping support could not be inspected. Sanitary/Sewage system: There are no Vents Through Roof. The entire system is not vented. The drains are ran in PVC, and the piping support is servicable at best. Some of the plumbing appliances are double trapped, some do not have a trap. Gas Distribution system: The Gas Distribution system is poorly supported and ran terribly. Spme of the black iron is in the dirt and rusted. Two of the has penetrations are done in Trac pipe when they should have been done in black iron. Water Heater: The water heater is made in May 2021. It is poorly installed. The thermal expansion tank is not mounted to a building structure. Galvanised p

Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system. Compressor tripping breaker. Pulls 97 amps on start up and runs at 16–7 amps. Cap is low. Contactor is pitted. Left system on explained cannot say how long this will run due to it tripping the breaker. We have schedule an install supervisor to come out Monday 11-2pm. No work other than troubleshooting was done here.

Installed cover on exterior of home on the line set and drain line. Charged up system with 410A. System now has a 22 degree temp split. Remove and install new armor flex on exterior of house on line set. Install new thermostat.

I’m very happy with the service that I received from Benjamin today! He arrived in the early part of the specified timeframe and started right ti work. He was very thorough and found a problem with the original installation that was done in 1986 when the house was built. He explained the issue and what would be needed to fix it. He was very thorough and did an excellent job. He cleaned up after himself and even took the boxes and old fixtures to dispose of.
