Customer has 8 y/o Carrier furnace matched with 3 y/o Rheem AC that operates for whole house. Home experiencing humidity issues. Noticed that media filter was very dirty. Replaced customer supplied 20x25x4 media filter. Speed tap for blower motor was set for lowest in cool mode. Adjusted blower tap for correct speed. Duct cleaning needs to be scheduled. Also, recommend whole house dehumidifier. Estimate emailed. Pressure levels were normal. Water rinsed coils. Condenser electrical components are good. System is currently working.

Tested system, not cooling for the master room/2nd floor of the home. Found the thermostat faulty, it is not getting power through common registered to the base of the thermostat. Also found a dirty 1 inch filter and a clogged drain line on the unit. The drain line outside is buried with mulch and is likely caused the clog. All four condensers outside are dirty and can use a cleaning. Today we completed all necessary repairs, including cleaning the drain lines, replacing the filter, cleaning, all four condensers outside, and replacing the faulty thermostat for the second level system. After repairs were completed, tested all mechanical functions and found no failures at this time.

Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system. Completed system of observation compressor was making grand noise due to the fan motor not operating outdoor system is 23 years old furnace is 24 years old. Eight furnace has an indication of damage heat exchanger. I inspected with the camera and there is cavities on the heat change itself, furnace is missing from upper panel inducer motor and all components are exposed pipe needs to be up to code is burn system would need a lot of work to be done. Plenum will have to be redone and sealed no safety switches on the system. A lot of rust spot coming out of the furnace. Furnace will have to be replaced along with all necessary repairs For the air conditioning part.
