Came out today to complete one system HVAC no call arrival customer state that he had had other technicians out. And they could not figure it out. Upon inspection, found carrier gas furnace,and coil from 2009 located in the attic with zoning. On the outside found 4 ton carrier straight AC in the system was running when I got here. Customer approved full diagnostic of system. I found that the refrigerant pressures were very low, the contactor and capacitor are without a range and burn and pitted, customer stated he had just had his outdoor coil washed yesterday, upon inspection of the furnace located in the attic found there is no flood protection for the system, the drain line comes straight out and down to the ground and run across the attic floor, the blower motor is very dirty, they return airflow as low, the indoor evaporator coil is very rusty, the blower capacitor is bad and out of range. Upon doing further diagnostic over the system, found that the compressor is pulling high amp

Performed diagnostic on 22yr old upstairs carrier unit, upon arrival customer stated unit wasn’t cooling it was icing up, checked tstst, cycled to ac mode, went to attic to inspect furnace, recommend better flood protection such as wet switch, evap coil rusted, checked blower motor, blower wheel impacted, recommend pulling and cleaning, checked capacitor, flushed drain line, inspected outdoor unit, coils impacted, recommend chemical cleaning, checked capacitor and contactor, amp draws, upon checking pressures found system low on r410, recommend leak search, highly recommend install supervisor for system update, customer opt to add refrigerant and is aware no warranty on repair, added 3lbs, rechecked pressures and temp split, unit working properly at time, customer is aware refrigerant will leak back out at some point The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today.

Upon arrival, the customer stated that the rear hose bib would not turn on. After inspection, I found that the hose bib handle was seized and no longer operable. I provided the customer with multiple repair and replacement options, including repairing the hose bib, replacing the garbage disposal, and replacing the existing water heater. Water heater options included both a standard tank-style unit and a tankless water heater system, with bundled pricing available for the combined services. After reviewing the options, the customer elected to replace the water heater, replace the garbage disposal, and repair the hose bib. A discount was applied to the hose bib repair, and all work was completed during today’s visit. Upon completion, the system was tested and operating properly. Water pressure was adjusted and verified at 65 PSI, the expansion tank was charged to 78 PSI, and all faucets throughout the home were flushed. The customer was satisfied with the completed work.

Came out to complete quoted repair. Upon arrival took old flue pipe completely out and re-ran new double wall flue pot up past the roofline of the home. Also turned around a supply and return duct. After complaining quoted repair could not test functionality of the system due to power being turned off due to new construction in the home.

Review
Technician came out to inspect my heater units. During the inspection, I observed excessive drilling. I called out to him to ask why drilling. He stated it was apart of the inspection. He continued the Inspection and came down to brief me on on one unit and show pics. He resumed with Inspecting the other unit and also briefed me on that one as well. I work from home so after my shift was over, I proceeded to lock the attic door, but it would not close since the lock had been compromised. The technician was well aware the attic door wouldn’t close and did not say anything to me. He left it as it was and left. I don’t understand why he would break the lock. I hired the tech to inspect the units- not to break my locks. Now I question the technicians work and the reason he was in my home?
