Make all repairs necessary to restore the unit to full health and eliminate all other concerns. Tech diagnosed full system noticed clogged drain line, improper pvc drain installed, bad safety switch, bad outdoor start-up component for compressor and fan motor, bad suction amor flex line installation… tech was able to get customer approval to move forward with all necessary repair options today… tech completed all repair work today.. system is back cooling at this time of service… will notify customer for maintenance this fall… Please review email for invoice copy and pictures… *Thanks for choosing TE Certified if you liked your technician service today don’t hesitate to leave a 5 star review!

Came out to customer’s house due to his system not cooling. Noticedmain issue is that the system is low on 410a refrigerant (system has a leak somewhere). I also noticed that there is no water safety on the drain, blower wheel is dirty, evaporator coil is dirty, biological growth growing inside air handler, defrost board is burnt/failing, and dual capacitor is out of manufacture specs. Customer approved to do the bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today. System is calling at this moment. Thank you for choosing to te certified.

Arrived found system cooling. Water in auxiliary drain pan due to cracked drain pan. No in-line safety or wet switch. Evaporator coil and blower wheel are dirty. Bacteria growth inside air handler cabinet. Call manufactured drain pan is not local 3 to 5 business days. Customer will call in when ready to make repairs.

Home inspection after lighting strike

Customer called in about water in the attic in the drain pan. A full system inspection was not performed today. I did however check electrical components and refrigerant pressures. System appears to be in good condition however, the filter was very dirty. The airflow to the system can cause the coil to freeze and result in the evaporator freezing up. Replaced the filter and cleared the drain line today. Also insulated the p trap to prevent sweating. Unit is cooling on my departure. System does not have a inline safety switch. Upstairs unit is completely separate and not on the lease. The main floor unit was the area of concern today.

Performed 1 syste, diagnostic on package unit . Found unit empty, oils around compressor, rusted evap coil, unit is out of warranty.custimer would like estimate for new unit due to cost of repairs Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system.
