I was called out to Kathy‘s house for a Homecare maintenance. During the thorough evaluation we discovered that the system was short on return air, the flue pipes were single wall, the flood protection was minimal, the ac had the factory caps for the service valves, the liquid schrader core was leaking, and the dual capacitor was testing weak. I corrected all the current issues but the system can still benefit from additional indoor air quality products for better comfort.

Upon arrival, the customer showed me to the water heater located in the garage. This water heater was not functioning and has been repaired several times unsuccessfully. Due to the amount of issues and improper installation, we strongly recommended replacement and customer agreed. Cut out and removed the atmospheric vent water heater and replaced with a power vent. Corrected all code violations and fired up the unit. Allowed the unit to come to full temperature in order to properly test function, no further issues detected.

Replace 2 sections of main sewer line due to root intrusions.

The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today.

Replaced 2 toilets. Replaced one broken flange. Installed customer supplied toilet seats. Sealed around powder toilet. No warranty on customer supplied fixtures. No warranty for sealing existing toilet. Tested for leaks and function, all good. Thank you for choosing T.E. Certified.

Removed old toilet in main floor powder bathroom and replaced with new Kohler Kingston unit. Original flange was found to be in good condition. Old wax ring had failed and caused water damage on the main floor. New wax ring, toilet bolts and steel braided toilet Supply line were also installed with new toilet. Toilet was filled and flushed Several times to check for leaks and proper functionality. Cleaned up work space. Floors in main floor powder bathroom have been removed and are currently being remediated. Customer requested that new toilet be set in place. Technician advised homeowner that toilet will more than likely need to be removed for new floors to be installed. If toilet needs to be pulled and reset at a later date, additional pull and reset charges will apply.

HVAC leaking, found uninsulated suction line condensating at evap coil. Sweating into insulation just above wall on second floor. Water had leaked causing water spots on both sides of the wall. Insulated line. Inspected unit found buzzing contactor and dirty filter. Signed customer up for homecare. Changed filter and contactor.

Arrived on site to look at a ceiling fan and outlets that temporarily lost power. While on site, everything was working correctly. I could not recreate the issue. I tested connections at the ceiling fan, switches, and outlets throughout the room. I informed the homeowner that she may need to replace the ceiling fan/ ceiling fan remote in the master bedroom. She told me she would continue to use the ceiling fan until it no longer worked. I informed the homeowner that she has back stabbed connections in the bedroom and throughout the home. The proper way to connect switches and outlets is to wrap the wire around the device screws. I also explained to her about having double tapped neutrals and non UL listed breakers in her panels. She did not want to proceed with any work at this time. She was not interested in receiving estimates to resolve the issues she has at this time.

Installed tankless unit in closet area due to house being demoed on the back part and homeowner needed to relocate water heater. Tested and checked for leaks. Homeowner is aware that he needs to ground home properly do to gas pipe having voltage.
