HVAC Service FAQs
The average cost to install or replace a home air conditioning system in the Atlanta, GA area is around $7,500. The typical range is from $6,500 - $12,500 because the price is determined by a number of factors, including the square footage of your home and SEER rating needed for your specific home. The make, model, size and efficiency rating of the unit chosen are also factors. Last but certainly not least, the brand of the HVAC unit and any extras, including zoning, smart thermostat, etc. have to be factored in.
On average, central air conditioning repairs in the Atlanta, GA area cost about $750. The low end could be as little as $150 for a thermostat fix and could go as high as $2,500 for something more complex. How much you should pay for a home AC repair depends almost entirely on what needs to be fixed. A simple fan fix will cost much less than a compressor repair, for instance. A professional HVAC technician will be able to provide you with a more accurate estimate and pricing.
Lack of regular maintenance causes more problems associated with home air conditioning systems in Atlanta than anything else. Another common issue is refrigerant leaks, which can cause the unit to lose its cooling power. Other problems can include electrical issues such as faulty wiring or a malfunctioning thermostat, which can prevent the unit from turning on or properly regulating the temperature. You can avoid most AC problems with regular and seasonal HVAC maintenance because this will address any issues, as soon as they arise, to keep your AC unit running efficiently and avoid costly repairs.
It depends on the specific issues with the unit and the overall condition of the AC unit. Generally, if a 20-year-old AC unit is experiencing major problems such as compressor failure or refrigerant leaks, it may be more cost-effective to replace the unit rather than investing in costly repairs over time. Older units are not as energy-efficient as newer HVAC models, meaning that it costs you more to run the unit. Check your energy bills monthly and ask for advice on the most cost-effective and energy-efficient solution. This will help you determine whether to repair or replace your AC unit.
The #1 reason your AC unit is not cooling your Atlanta area home is your air filters are dirty. Clogged air filters can restrict airflow, reducing your unit's ability to cool the air in your home. Some other reasons could include low refrigerant which won’t allow the air to cool properly. A malfunctioning thermostat can prevent your AC unit from turning on or regulating the temperature properly. Blocked or dirty condenser coils on the outside unit can become dirty, reducing its ability to dissipate heat. One last thing to check would be a clogged drain line. Your AC drain line can get clogged with mold, mildew, and debris, preventing the unit from properly draining the condensation, which causes the evaporator coil to freeze up and not cool properly.

Tankless Water Heater Repair & Installation Services
Tankless hot water heaters are a great choice for those who live in tight spaces, such as smaller kitchen or bathroom enclosures.
Compared to tank water heaters, tankless water heater systems offer higher efficiency, lower energy bills, endless hot water, extra space in your home (they don't take up as much space as a tank) and usually longer lifespans (15+ years compared to 10-12 years). In order to save money and energy, a tankless water heater system is the perfect choice.
The installation of this type is much simpler than traditional tanks because there's no need to install plumbing pipes under your sink! TE Certified can help you decide what size would work best with the available room space and power supply near where it'll be installed. Whether indoors near an electric outlet on wall socket/surfaces close enough so that electrical circuits won't become crossed during use, or outside we'll show you the options that you have.
Customer satisfaction is our number one priority, and we want to do everything we can to ensure you and your family stay comfortable all year round.
Call for easy scheduling.
Plumbing FAQs
If you know where your main water supply is located, turn if off and check the meter. If it is still changing, you know the leak is between your house and outside meter. If there are none inside (and this might seem obvious), then it's likely coming from somewhere else close by - like at least one other faucet or pipe nearby!
A leak is sometimes very obvious; other times you could have a leak for months and not know it. There are a few things to look out for if you suspect a leak in your Atlanta area home:
- Look at your water bill to see if your usage has gone up with no apparent reason.
- Any musty smells could indicate a leak that has led to mold/mildew.
- Any signs of wall, ceiling or floor damage, including stains, warping or bubbling.
Professional plumbers can do a thorough inspection of your home and grounds to determine if you have a water leak.

Returned today to install a new ceramic volume control cartridge in the primary shower, which is estimated to be approximately 20 years old. This visit was a continuation of the diagnosis performed during our previous appointment, where we identified a failed cold side volume control valve allowing a constant seepage of water through the fixture even when in the closed position. Based on our findings, a replacement cartridge was ordered and received prior to today's visit. Upon arrival, we reviewed the scope of work with the homeowner before beginning the repair process. We first isolated the water supply to the residence and drained the plumbing system to relieve pressure and prevent water discharge during disassembly. Once the system was safely depressurized, we removed the trim components and accessed the existing cold-side volume control stem. The failed cartridge was then carefully extracted from the valve body, and the interior of the valve was inspected for any signs of damage,
Great service, Andrew was very knowledgeable and professional

Arrived at home to evaluate plumbing of the home for a buyer inspection. Tried to pull toilet and run camera down both my butt could not get past improper fitting down below. Observed improper plumbing throughout the basement and crawlspace and recommend recommended replacements.
Replaced 2 shut off valve to lavatory faucet. Replaced p-trap, and CS strainer to faucet.
Today we are called out because the homeowner wanted to remove their ceiling fan in the bedroom and replace it with a chandelier. We also installed the new chandelier on a dimmer. At the time of testing everything I noticed two bulbs from the manufacturer were not working. The homeowner is going to buy two bulbs to replace them. They are 25W incandescent bulbs. Thank you for choosing TE certified!
Upon arrival, met with customer and spoke with him regarding their issue. Customer stated they have been experiencing a bad smell coming from their shower drain upstairs in the master bathroom. Customer says this shower was also draining slowly but they were able to remove some hair and get it draining better. Upon inspection I noticed there is still a lot of buildup inside the shower drain of hard water deposits and some mildew/mold. Customer also has a slow draining lavatory sink next to the shower. Toilet is functioning properly and I was not able to notice any smell in the bathroom at this time. I recommended clearing the shower drain more thoroughly and also the bathroom sink. I also recommended our Endure product to help with any lingering smell. Customer agreed to option presented and after getting signature approval I began work. Broke up hard water deposits inside shower drain and ran flexshaft machine downstream approximately 10-20’ and removed a wipe/rag from the drain line
Winterize and drain toilet, lav, bar faucet, water heater, pool overflow. Water was already off to the pool house. Upon arrival, customer agreed to our quote, started by opening up the bar. Faucet, bathroom faucet and hose spigot in the back. I then allowed for the water. Heater to gravitationally, drain as far as possible. As well as drained, the pool overflow from the flexible three eighths supply line and then turned its ball valve off. Afterwards, I put all of the storage area, personal belongings back in the storage area, and then drained all of the water out of the toilet. Not just the bowl, but the tank as well. Inform the customer an order of operation to turn the water back on. Come next spring and to replace the flapper. As the one that is, there is going to dry up. Thank you for choosing and trusting t e with your plumbing needs
I installed a Tesla Universal Wall Connector with a load management system beside the panel. I moved over 3 circuits to the sub panel to make room for the load management system and the car charger itself. I also installed 2 garage lights.
All Smoke and smoke/carbon detectors replaced and breaker controlling smoke detectors. Also replaced vent hood breaker and master bedroom breaker. All dual function.
Removed switch which controls waterfall lights that was defective and replaced it with a new one. Once it was in and the landscape lights were turned on the switch worked properly controlling the waterfall lights. One of the waterfall lights is also defective and not working. I’m getting the new lights and bulbs so that we can return next week and install them. It was very nice meeting both of you today! Once the parts come in on the landscape lights we will contact you and set up a date for us to come back out and get everything installed. Look forward to seeing you then! Thank you, Brandon
Upon arrival, met with customer and spoke with her regarding their issue. Customer showed me inside and upstairs to the master and guest bathroom. Customer states the shower drains are draining slowly and even after snaking them, they noticed buildup still inside the drain (hard water deposits). The toilet in the master bathroom also hisses when filling the tank and fills slowly. I diagnosed this as a failed fill valve. Gave customer options to clear the shower drains and install a new fill valve and after getting signature approval I began work. Installed new fill valve and stainless steel supply line on master bathroom toilet. Both showers upstairs I removed and cleaned the strainers and then broke up all the hard water deposits in the drain lines. Snaked both showers approximately 10-20’ downstream and cleared out more hair. Flushed both with multiple gallons of hot water. Both showers are now draining well and are clean and clear. After speaking with the customer we decided to clea
Fix air admittance drain.
On today’s visit we inspected and corrected a number of issues the homeowner indicated had come up on a home inspection. *The GFCI in garage had loose connections and screws. I corrected the wiring and replaced the screws. *The overhead Light in the garage is working properly, it just needs replacement bulbs *The lighting trims in the 1st floor hall and the kitchen are smart lights and appear to be working as intended. The red glow when the light is first turned on indicates that they have lost connection to WiFi before returning to default setting. Turning the switches on and off 5 times successfully puts the lights into pairing mode. *I replaced the missing plates for the clothes dryer, attic light switch, and attic outlet as a courtesy. *I replaced the missing screws for the data plates in each bedroom. They are now securely in place
Re secured SEU on side of home and replaced weather head. Wire was not damaged and in good condition. Tried to get wire as straight as possible but is slightly wavy due to being pulled off of home.
Make wire taps in switch boxes
We troubleshot the light switch in the master closet and replaced it
2 system inspection Changed both filters. Flushed drains and checked refrigerant levels. Checked outdoor electrical for both systems. Tested heat for both systems and checked gas pressures. Inspected both indoor coils and inside the duct work. Main floor system is mechanically in good shape. There is biological growth inside the ductwork and the filter needed changed. Recommended UV light to control growth. Upstairs system has biological growth as well. The blower wheel is very dirty. The heat exchanger has signs that it is compromised and could pose a safety risk if left unattended much longer. Inducer motor is also abnormally loud. The bearings in the motor are failing. The blower capacitor is also failing and it is also low on refrigerant. Supply plenum is too small. If system gets replaced I would recommend turning system horizontal so a proper supply plenum can be used. This would likely help with the air flow issue in the front bedroom and bathroom. The outdoor coil is also
Homeowner had a new gas range installed. At some point during the installation the gas line began leaking. The gas line is a homeflex brand gas line. The leak was coming from the homeflex adapter right at the wall. The gas line should be replaced. Due to the routing of the existing gas line, replacement at this time is not possible, due to the gas line running in a space between the slab and the floor, above the slab, but beneath the floor. Installed new homeflex adapters and a new shutoff valve. Pressure tested gas line at 15 PSI for 15 minutes. Connected onto gas range and lit gas range to ensure proper function. Left homeowner with prices for a new gas line, routed along side the side of the house, and penetrating through the side of the wall.
