Customer has 8 y/o Carrier system that operates for main level. System is not cooling properly due to low pressure levels indicating loss of refrigerant. Performed electronic leak search and found that evaporator coil is leaking. Informed customer of findings. Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system.

Customer signed up for HomeCare Membership. Performed HomeCare routine maintenance inspection on two 7 y/o Lennox systems. Main and basement levels are zoned. Upper level stand alone. Checked amp draws. Cleaned flame sensors. Cleared pressure switch tubings. Condensate drain lines clear. Recommend blower wheel cleaning for both systems. Main level system has bad ignitor. Left two 16x25x1 filters with customer. Pressure levels were low for main level system indicating loss of refrigerant. System has evaporator coil leak. Pressure levels for upper level system were normal. Both condensers have pitted contactors. Water rinsed coils. Informed customer of findings. The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today. Added 2 lbs. of 410A refrigerant to main level system. Pressure levels are now normal. Systems are currently working.

Found unit not cooling compressor was not operating found failed capacitor. Replaced and tested operations. Has no wet switch or ss1 recommend for flood protection.unit is cooling at this time. System 4-found unit off due to water damaged to dry wall ceiling below. Found drain pan full but also found return box extremely low when unit was installed causing installers needing to bend out drain pan. I came out today due to circuit #10 being an issue where it would not turn on. The circuit is a 15 amp single pole that controls the following areas: *Powder room lights *Main kitchen lighting *Laundry room lighting *Back porch receptacle After attempting to to then breaker on it did not hold indicating a fault somewhere on the circuit and after the homeowner agreed to the diagnostic this what was found. -Main Issue- The main issue was a faulty indoor rated gfci located on the back porch that had a flip cover installed over it. The device had rust and corrosion built up on the device causing the fault. After removing the device and capping it off I turned the circuit on and it held. I supplied and installed a new weather resistant gfci and a new bubble cover out back I also installed a bead of silicone around the gasket to help prevent moisture from getting inside the box. -Other Issues And Repairs- When removing the switches away from the box I have discovered that all of the de

System has a severe amount of dust and grime inside, please refer to the pictures attached to this report. This unit is at least 24 years old and the burning smell you are getting is coming from the buildup of dust and grime on this unit. Parts are no longer available for this model, and even if they were the extent repairs would take to service this unit would be easily thousands of dollars. The blower motor needs to be replaced, the blower wheel needs to be cleaned, both indoor coils need to be cleaned (you can’t clean the top coil without either dismantling the machine or taking off the plenum on the top.) The outside system isn’t as old but it isn’t in great shape, the wires are exposed outside, the electrical whip isn’t attached to the machine, when I came to service the unit the panel wasn’t attached to the system at all which allows the elements to interact with the electrical components. The average life span of these units is 12-15 years, the only realistic choice in this scen
