Found bad capacitor. Recommend replacing capacitor and adding hard start and doing coil cleaning. System is back up and running now. Come out tomorrow to add hard start. Shops closed and didn’t have part. Make all repairs necessary to restore the unit to full health and eliminate all other concerns.

Upon arrival the homeowner had 8nfromed me that she had turned the equipment on a/c and had noticed that the house was not cooling down even thought the thermostat indicate cooling operations were on. When inspecting the equipment I had noticed oil in the drain line and all over blower compartment. Checked evaporator coil and found that the coil has rusted out and has formed a refrigerant leak in the system. After performing full maintenance on the equipment I had noticed that natural wear/tear has wreaked several key components on the equipment and due to age, no longer having warranties, missing safety devices, and being out of refrigerant at todays visit I highly recommend considering replacement versus est repairs/upgrades being made to the equipment. Schedule install supervisor to provide quotes on replacement of entire system
