Called out for the gas control valve on the 8 year old 50 gallon AO smith hot water containment system not staying lit to provide hot water throughout the home. Found that the valve has a mechanical fault and will need to be replaced. We will return to remove old tank type heater and replace with a new 50 gallon tank type hot water containment system with all code upgrades including but not limited to new thermal expansion tank, heater pan, new ball valve, 18” of copper running past the heater, new gascock and gas whip. Will physically alter the new tank with an upgraded anode rod to prolong the life expectancy to 8 years. Once installed we will test with full water pressure and light heater to ensure heater is functioning properly,

3 stem shower valve repair in 2 bathrooms. Also found leaking water heater, and a 3/4” water line pin hole leak in hallway by entrance/door. provided a customer with options. Customer called back was able to speak with customer on a recorded line. Customer authorize work for repair on 3/4” water line. Customer approved and gave verbal authorization over phone after viewing options. Emailed. Repair was done two three-quarter inch waterline. Pictures taken restored water to the house. Inspected for leaks no leaks, aired out all fixtures.

Austin is great at diagnosing and explaining the issue, offering options and delivering a solution that resolves the problem while considering our budget concerns. Appointment scheduling was very easy; the plumber (JR) arrived early, listened well and was clear on what needed to be done. The work moved along really well and couldn't be happier with the results. Having been through lots of house's under construction and watched This Old House for many years it was clear that JR's work included the little things that make for a quality job. A bit pricey but likely a sign of the times these days to work with a quality group.

Austin from TE provided excellent service. From the moment he arrived, he was thoughtful in his analysis, taking time to explain his process and the solution options. Austin supported us as we made our decision, managing each step of the process. When he arrived to do the work, there was a threat of rain but he didn’t let the weather slow him down. He found the leak in our front yard, completed the repair, walked me through his repairs and then double checked his work to ensure everything was complete and that there were no remaining leaks. I was impressed and thankful that Austin was assigned our job and we will ask for him in the future for any of our plumbing needs
