Perform two system home care. tested pump added condensate tablets to pump, looked for any code violations on the equipment. I found the main floor to have a high superheat. This is because the filter inside of the unit is from August 2024. Filter is beginning to restrict airflow and I strongly suggest to replace. Subcooling is exactly where it needs to be. Sub cooling is also good for the upstairs unit. Labeled both outdoor condensers. Found the breaker for the upstairs unit that we installed that services is the outdoor AC. It is a two pole breaker, it is 20 amps but it is the incorrect style breaker. With this breaker one leg can trip while the other is still receiving 120 V. To ensure proper protection of the equipment, the entire breaker must trip cutting all power to the equipment. Once amperage gets above 20. Both units are operational on my departure. Filter for the upstairs is going to be replaced by the homeowner.

Today with the assistance of Gavin, I labeled the panel and presented the home owners with options on rerunning circuits for both the pool equipment and hot tub. Resolved some nuisance tripping smart breakers and replaced some GFCI breakers for Dual Function breakers.

Returned to complete work as per estimate. Turned water off to the home via street cutoff and drained down system. Performed exploratory cuts in drywall to ascertain location of new box and to determine route that would be required by new pipe. Once determined, removed old saddle valve connection from 3/4” cold line and fabricated new pipe running to new location of ice maker box. Connected to ice box, and set ice box in wall, securing via mounting tabs to best of ability. Once plumbed, discovered that the available space in the wall prevents the ice maker box from sitting perfectly flush against the wall. Left behind a small gap. After completing reconnections, turned water back on to the home and pressurized system. Tested lines thoroughly for leaks and found no issues at this time. Bled air and debris from all fixtures before continuing to cleanup phase. Vacuumed debris and dust yielded from drywall cuts, cleaned work areas to best of ability, and disposed of all waste

Installed a 50 gallon gas water heater with an expansion tank with bracket in the basement, pressure regulator, new whole house shutoff and a supply stop for the 1st floor bathroom. All connections were tested, and lines purged . All is working properly at this time.

For this job, I worked on troubleshooting why two ceiling fans were not working and why an outlet was not working. Also took a look at an outlet to see if it needed to be replaced. after checking the wiring in each of the four fans and check in in various tap boxes in the ceiling I was able to trace a tap box back to a switch that was not turned on the homeowner did not know that that switch control those to fans. turned on the switch and the fans were working properly.

Found older unit with broken thermostat wire by the outdoor unit. Connected wire nut to broke wire and got unit running. System is very short on duct work. System may also have a restriction. Homeowner may want to consider replacing the system and additional addition duct work.

Tesla charger, dishwasher breaker and surge protector.

For this job, I worked on installing a customer provided Tesla wall connector in his garage. Tested voltage and connections upon completing. also helped him pair the Tesla wall connector to the app on his phone.

For this job, it was required to replace our clients water heater with a higher efficiency heater as well. Install a icemaker box for the refrigerator and a new garbage disposal. All items have been installed and tested for leaks and leaks have been found. Client’s water pressure is 50 psi. Our client is very satisfied with the service that was provided today.

Outlets not working

Install customer supplied security cameras and run CAT6 cabling There was some miscommunication with the location of 2 cameras. We installed 2 cameras outside to view the loading dock, but they wanted them inside. We moved the inside. Customer is happy with the location and the view each camera gives.

SERVICE CALL: upon arrival homeowner stated the first floor hvac system Is not working properly on cooling mode. After complete troubleshooting I found the hvac system LENNOX 2 ton capacity 2013 model about 13 Years old is in Poor maintenance conditions plus indoor evaporator coil Was completely ICE UP NO T E SAFETY FLOOD PROTECTION check pleated filter was completely stopped up check inside the gas furnace unit lot of rust due to condensation. Check outdoor condenser unit Lennox 2 ton capacity 13 years old unit was ice up plus check condenser coil Is highly impacted due to lack of maintenance. Performed courtesy electronic leak search at indoor evaporator coil and I found the evaporator coil is rusted out and is leaking refrigerant the coil can’t be repaired At least needs to be replaced check blower motor capacitor failed is out of spec from manufacture plus blower wheel is highly impacted. System already past life expectancy from manufacture. DUE TO AGED AND CONDITIO

After complete troubleshooting I found the hvac system Carrier 3 ton capacity 15 years old is in poor maintenance conditions Test cooling mode and check refrigerant charge pressures are almost empty Performed courtesy electronic leak search I found the indoor evaporator coil is completely rusted out plus is leaking refrigerant check blower wheel Is highly impacted check contactor is pitted and compressor is been running out of refrigerant this conditions can create premature failure on compressor. System is 15 years old already past life expectancy from Manufacture plus refrigerant r 410a is already phased out by EPA. DUE TO AGED AND CONDITIONS PLUS COSTS OF REPAIRS RECOMMEND TO UPGRADE COMPLETE SYSTEM. Homeowner is aware of the conditions of the equipment and wants to get a Quote for new system. For this job, I worked on troubleshooting outside back porch fan that was no longer working. I found the issue within the receiver in the fan. I recalibrated both devices and the fan now works properly.

Troubleshoot and install 2 new outlets

Performed home care on one system. Checked all electrical and amperage. Flushed and treated drain line. Flushed and treated condensate pump. Cycled condensate pump to ensure proper operation. Filter April air 213. Cleaned the flame sensor. Checked evaporator coil and blower wheel. Checked outdoor unit. Checked amperage and pressures. Unit in crawlspace. No auxiliary drain pan and no wet switch. Oversize condenser breaker. Max 40 amp has 50 amp. Customer approved repairs. Installed new April air 213 filter and changed oversize breaker to correct size 40 amp breaker. Make all repairs necessary to restore the unit to full health and eliminate all other concerns.

The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today.

The customer called us out to their home to perform a camera inspection. Upon looking for an outdoor clean out, there was no access point. There is cast-iron drain lines in the crawlspace of the home that are in critical condition. I was unable to push it past a double cross wye which had me going up in the toilet on the adjacent side of the wall. Customer was given options to install clean out for an access point to do further investigations, or ballpark figures for what full replacements would look like. I took a tape measure down the neighbors clean out tap and it read approximately 7 1/2 feet deep.

System is a 5 ton gas, furnace and AC from 2019. Pressures once running look good. Both contactor and capacitor are bad however, today we repaired just the capacitor. The contactor does not have much longer and should be replaced to see as possible to prevent another service call. Airflow is imbalanced and system is oversized for the house. Velocity pressure on ducks is so high that the vents rattle. Should consider re-engineering the ductwork for better airflow and re-distribution so house will cool more evenly. Outdoor coil is dirty and needs to be cleaned.

Troubleshot loss of power to outlets in the basement. I found an open junction box buried in the wall next to a light in the basement. The connections in the box were loose and causing a loss of power to the outlet. Junction box was removed, new box was installed in the ceiling with a blank plate for accessibility. 2 New gfcis and 2 new outlets were installed. One new outlet was added off of the dining room circuit above.

Customer called us out for a clogged shower in the master bathroom. I removed the drain cover and the drain was filled with limescale. I recommended clearing the drain of the lime scale and a bottle of Endure drain maintainer. Customer agreed. I scrapped the sides of the drain and then ran a flex shaft to clean what couldn’t be seen. I tested the shower for 10 minutes with no back ups. I cleaned up the area.
