Come out today to perform one system HVAC service call. Upon arrival found system completely frozen, gave customer option for us to thaw out the system or let the system thaw itself out and return in 24 hours. Customer elected to have less return in 24 hours to do a further diagnostic on the system. System is set in the off mode to ensure no more damage and prevent more ice from forming. Came back out today to complete system inspection. Upon inspection of the system found the indoor coil to be very dirty, the outdoor coil was very dirty, the blower wheel was dirty, the capacitor was reading out of range, the contactor was burnt and pitted, there was cracks on the flu pipe, there was no flood protection nor UV protection. At this time, customer was not approved for financing and then stated that he needed to speak with his wife before moving forward with any options of repair. At this time, recommended to customer not to run the system in AC to prevent further damages possible flooding

Upon arrival tech diagnosed system to find failed condensate pump, lacking proper safety switches and return ductwork is short, outdoor coil cleaning is needed as well as new defrost board and voltage components… tech explain to homeowner about our system repair vs system replacement options. Came out today to perform one system hvac service call. Upon arrival customer stated that the outdoor fan stopped working yesterday. Upon inspection found a carrier 4 ton furnace paired with a carrier 4ton a/c, both from 2011. Upon inspection found the system in thermal overload due to a failed capacitor and failed fan motor. Upon further inspection found the system low on supply and return, dirty blower, rusty coil, bad contactor, major leaks in the return plenum, bad blower capacitor and low on refrigerant. Upon speaking with customer, customer elected to move forward with a bandaid repair and get a quote to replace the system. At this time system is running and an install supervisor is coming to give replacement quotes.
