No Cool Diagnostic Summary Responded to a no-cool service call on a 2006 ICECO/Trane 3-ton R22 air conditioning system. Diagnostic testing confirmed a catastrophic electrical failure in the outdoor unit. The run capacitor had failed and overheated, causing extensive heat and fire damage to the capacitor terminals, wiring, and contactor connections. The contactor was also failed, with the coil testing abnormally low, indicating an internal short. Additional testing confirmed the compressor is shorted to ground and has failed internally. While the failed capacitor and associated electrical damage likely contributed to compressor stress, the compressor has been definitively diagnosed as failed and is not repairable. As a result, the system cannot operate or provide cooling. We also verified standing refrigerant pressures and found the system appears to be slightly low on refrigerant. No Cool Diagnostic Summary Came out to a no cool call on a conventional R410A Carrier system. After a full diagnostic evaluation, we found that the indoor unit was not sending a low-voltage signal to the outdoor unit. We traced the issue to damaged thermostat wiring that was preventing proper communication between the indoor and outdoor equipment. We repaired the thermostat wiring, restored power to the system, and verified proper operation. After completing the repair, we continued with a full system inspection. We found that the condensate drain line is clogged and beginning to restrict drainage. If left uncorrected, the drain line will eventually back up into the secondary drain pan and could cause water damage or system shutdown. We also found that the system does not have TE Certified Flood Protection installed. Shower in the hall bath is not turning on. Removed and replaced the shower cartridge, the shower is now working properly. Leak in the crawlspace is coming from ice maker line. Removed and replaced the faulty line and installed the proper shut off valve. No further leaks detected.

Replacing entire fan assembly

As we arrive today, it was explained to us that a tree had fallen on the powerline, going to the house and it bit the pipe coming out of the roof. Once we enter the attic space could clearly see where the pipe had broken off some of the straps connecting it to the wall. We put new screws in the existing straps and also put a piece of unistrut and a unistrut strap to hold it in place better. The wood that the pipe is anchored to does have a crack in it now. I did explain that to Mr. Stjean. If the wire gets hit again, hard with another tree lamb, it could possibly break that piece of wood, which is holding the pipe. I also found two open tabs in the attic space. I attach an estimate for those to be fixed. It was very nice meeting you today!
