HVAC, Plumber & Electrical FAQs
The average cost to replace an electrical panel ranges from $1,595 - $3,000 depending on the amperage. The higher the amperage needed the more expensive the new electrical panel would be. Amp replacement is necessary when the existing system cannot be upgraded to meet new standard needs or when there is a safety risk to the existing system.
Tankless water heater cost in Marietta ranges from $1,500 to $5,000 depending on the size and type of the water heater being installed. Tankless water heaters have a higher initial price compared to tank heaters because of a more labor-intensive set-up if new gas and water lines are required for installation. For electrical tankless heaters, new electric wiring will probably not be needed for installation in most cases.
If you're experiencing AC not cooling your Marietta area home while the system is powered on, you could have a clogged or blocked coil. Unfortunately, a wide variety of debris can find its way into this equipment, including grass, dirt, and other contaminants. This can result in a serious clog, which can lead to a system malfunction. The best way to prevent this is with regular AC cleaning and maintenance visits.

We installed a battery powered flood light in the side of the house and replaced bulbs in backyard sconce lights

Arrived on site to troubleshoot a no cooling call for the upstairs unit. The home has 5 units but only wanted me diving into the needs of the upstairs. It was 89 degrees upon arrival and the upstairs wasn’t running. We found the dual capacitor was failed and the compressor would cutout from high pressure. We looked through then system in full and found some issues and signs of age. The systems need thorough deep cleanings and would benefit from being upgraded, client would prefer to do immediate repairs and will ride out the system into its old age until it fails. We spoke about Homecare and he decided against it today. We collected service call and price for dual capacitor. Call complete.

Replace defective cutler hammer CH dual function circuit breakers.

Only System Not cooling - 2020 gas furnace and AC System not cooling due to a failed starting component. The dual power factor enhancer has failed on the compressor side. I recommended replacing this failed part and also adding a start assist. Start assist will help prolong the starting components and are a necessary to have especially when the evaporator coil has more than 15 of rise from the compressor. Also recommended getting on our home care plan. Homeowner opted for option B with the start assist and the HomeCare plan. I completely the work, tested the system, and took temperature readings at indoor equipment. Thank you for choosing T.E. Certified, have a great day!

Installed ceiling fan and dimmers

Removed a section of 3 inch drain piping and replaced with new. Previous toilet closet 90 was cracked and causing a leak in the ceiling below, every time the toilet was flushed. Section of piping was replaced, also with a new closet 90 and toilet flange. Toilet flange was leveled and properly secured to sub flooring. Per remediation companies request, old toilet was not reset in place, in order for remediation work to take place. Customer requested that the old toilet be disposed of, and a new customer provided toilet will eventually be purchased. Customer is aware that if technician needs to return and install a new customer provided toilet, additional installation charges will apply. Walk-through was completed with the customer and work areas were thoroughly cleaned up. Payment was also successfully collected. Technician also added a damage observed notice on this invoice. When toilet was pulled, a scratch was found beneath toilet on the tile flooring. All necessary pictures have

Arrived on site for a follow up from a previous visit. After our last visit the condensate pump failed, causing an overflow of water from the pump into the secondary pan for the main level unit. We found the pump seized and some of the the tubing was kinked and obstructed. They approved a new pump and entirely new tubing to avoid unnecessary stress to the new pump. Once it was installed and all tubing was supported well, we tested the pump and system making sure it was fully operational. They would like to get ducts cleaned this fall so I emailed some preliminary pricing over as well so they have it on hand. System is cycled, call complete.

Today we came out for the second level system not maintaining set point. Cycled the equipment in cool mode and evaluated complete hvac system 2024 carrier 2.5 ton with 2016 carrier 70k furnace. Inspected ductwork found out of code r6 flex ducts on return side in addition customer only has 1 ton of return air on 2.5 ton system. This is causing blower motor to over amp and shortin life span of equipment will have install supervisor give options on updating ductwork, add return and replace ductboard plenums. Thermostat was not installed within 5 feet of main return, the condenser coil is impacted with dirt causing system to loose efficiency. Client barely has any insulation in attic prolly an average of 6” when the department of energy recommends 18”. Left customer estimates for homecare membership and repairs. Left all equipment operational.

Replace section of copper in garage ceiling. (Roughly 10ft), replace vanity faucet

Arc fault troubleshoot. Inspected all devices on circuit and could find any apparent issues. Did notice that outlets were backstabbed and brought it up to customer. Couldn’t get it to trip while I was on site and gave options to replace breaker and redevice. Customer says it’s been tripping more and more which leads me to think breaker could possibly be going bad. Prefaced the customer that I cannot guarantee this will resolve issue but is step in right direction and educated customer on how certain devices you have plugged in can cause this kind of nuisance tripping and how to DIY troubleshoot at home.

Replace outlet for pool pump with gfci and replace gfci breaker with standard breaker

Installed Ring floodlight

Installed customer supplied 50 gallon natural gas water heater in basement utility room. Modified water lines and exhaust to accomodate new water heater, replaced 3/4 ball valve and set new water heater in a code approved drip pan. Thermal expansion tank pressure was set to 65psi and strapped to structure via a proper bracket. Tested system for leaks and verified proper function. Temp is set to 120°F per manufacturer recommendation.
Excellent service

11 year old heat pump air handler - upper level System not cooling or coming on at all on arrival. Was checking the wiring in the air handler and the system suddenly powered up. There is a half some questionable working in the air handler. The starting components on the outdoor unit have failed. The evaporator coil is rusted out, the blower wheel is dirty, the condenser coil is dirty, and there is no wet switch. I went over repair vs replacement and at this time the homeowners opted for option A. I replaced the starting components on the outdoor unit and tested the system. System is now cooling to its best ability given its condition. Thank you for choosing T.E. Certified, have a great day!

Arrived on site for a 2 system inspection. This is our first hvac visit and after speaking with the homeowner I was able to find out the downstairs hasn’t been working at all this summer. She’s been very uncomfortable downstairs and has wants us to figure out what’s wrong. I began to troubleshoot this to get her some cooling so we can get started on the inspection. I found the breaker was tripped, the dual capacitor was failed and the contractor was very burnt. I started by testing the compressor to see if it had open windings or was grounded and it passed both tests. Condenser fan motor tested well also. Even without load, the breaker wouldn’t reset or turn on. This failed breaker wouldn’t immediately trip, so with clients Ok, we ran down to the store and grabbed a new breaker. After the new breaker was installed and tested, we had a solid 240v at the breaker but only 1 leg of 120 at the contractor. Found issues with the whip, and we replaced the whip to stabilize voltage. After we re

Homeowner had toilets constantly running. I performed a major rebuild for the toilets upstairs and the main floor replaced the flush valve, fill valve, tank bolts, and supply line. I did a minor toilet rebuild for the basement toilet and replaced the fill valve and flapper with a new supply line. I replaced the kitchen faucet due to age with new customer supplied faucet. Tested everything and checked for leaks.

Replaced Rheem gas control valve. Parts were still covered under manufacturer warranty. Water heater was installed by TE in January of 2020.

Kitchen circuit #1

Per the permitted inspection report we installed a mixing valve for the hair washing station. Customer understands that the mixing valve will need to have access for replacement. Set the temperature so it was not hotter than 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Insulation was attached to the piping to prevent the lines from touching.

Customer had a jammed 6 year old garbage disposal. Provided options to either attempt to Unjam and reset or replace with a new unit. Customer chose replacement Installed new 1/2 horsepower garbage disposal with new basket assembly. Tested and everything is working as it should at this time Adjusted customers hot water recirculation pump as a courtesy Thank you for choosing TE Certified

At arrival on July 14, 2025 homeowner mentioned that Edwin said there was a potential leak in the system because the system was a little bit lower. Checked system did not find any leak. Leak searched on everything no leak was found. The condenser cord is dirty, the air that is dirty, where is micro Grove growing in the supply Plenum and return. Gave options to address issues.
