HVAC, Plumber & Electrical FAQs
The average cost to replace an electrical panel ranges from $1,595 - $3,000 depending on the amperage. The higher the amperage needed the more expensive the new electrical panel would be. Amp replacement is necessary when the existing system cannot be upgraded to meet new standard needs or when there is a safety risk to the existing system.
Tankless water heater cost in Marietta ranges from $1,500 to $5,000 depending on the size and type of the water heater being installed. Tankless water heaters have a higher initial price compared to tank heaters because of a more labor-intensive set-up if new gas and water lines are required for installation. For electrical tankless heaters, new electric wiring will probably not be needed for installation in most cases.
If you're experiencing AC not cooling your Marietta area home while the system is powered on, you could have a clogged or blocked coil. Unfortunately, a wide variety of debris can find its way into this equipment, including grass, dirt, and other contaminants. This can result in a serious clog, which can lead to a system malfunction. The best way to prevent this is with regular AC cleaning and maintenance visits.

Arrived on site to replace the return plenum and 4 return ducts. We built the return plenum and filter cabinet, sealed it thoroughly and cut 4 start collars in place. We had 2 8” start collars and 2 10” start collars. We removed the old plenum and duct work off system before installing the new plenum/duct work. We cleaned up our mess and made sure all ducts were sealed and supported well. System is fully operational upon departure. Call complete.

Leak coming from penetration. Drilled new penetration. Dug down to find that another flow control fitting was installed on main. Removed and replaced with new permanent fitting. Technician opened up master bathroom ceiling to diagnose slow leak. After further diagnosis, it was found that drain line supplying the toilet directly above is compromised. Toilet leaks only when flushed. Toilet was pulled and reset with a new wax seal, installed and tested. Wax seal did not fix the issue and a hairline fracture was found in PVC piping. Pull and reset was performed today as a courtesy to customer for diagnostic purposes. Technician is returning to replace a 3-5’ section of drain line and properly reset toilet. Water remediation company has been referred to customer and will be on site tomorrow to address water damage.

Customer supplied kitchen faucet was installed today due to the existing one was over 10 years old and not functioning properly. We installed a faucet hole cover due to the fixture would not cover all of the holes on the granite. The existing check valve on the sewer ejector line was not properly installed and the lids was not attached to the basin. Tested all for proper operation.

Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system.

Customer called us out for a slow shower drain in the master bathroom. I inspected the drain and recommended running a tub gun down to clear the blockage. Customer agreed. I ran the tub gun down the shower drain in the master bathroom and successfully cleared the blockage. There wasn’t much hair but when tested the shower was now draining smoothly. Customer most likely had a lot of Limescale build up in pipes. Customers water pressure was good but the expansion tank on the water heater was cracked. Water heater info sticker was also cut off. Service plumber scheduled to take a look at the expansion tank and quote customer for faucet handle replacement in main floor bathroom.

Customer was having issues with sewer injector pump in the basement bathroom. Upon inspection I did see standing water on the lid. Nothing is wrong with the pump, the float was just stuck. Was able to get it to proper function. Also noticed that the thermal expansion tank was leaking. Did replace the thermal expansion tank with a new one. Did a water heater flush. Checked the house pressure and it is good at 60psi. After installing I pressurized the system, got the air out of the lines, and checked for leaks. Did thorough clean up. Thank you for choosing te certified.

Shower valve replacement for Primary bathroom. Tested and working well at this time.

Replaced builder grade disk lights with customer supplied wafers

Customer called us out because their sink was draining into the dishwasher in the main floor kitchen. I inspected the sink and determined the clog was caused by grease. I recommended running either a cable machine or a jetter to clear the blockage. Customer choose the cable machine. I removed the ptrap and ran the cable machine down the line 3 times. The trap arm was half clogged with grease. I put everything back together tested and cleaned. The sink was not showing signs of blockage. I also looped the dishwasher line high so it would not drain into there in the event of another blockage. I advised the customer to use the garbage disposal sparingly.

10 year old AC & Coil - 20 year old gas furnace Not cooling System not cooling due to low refrigerant levels that were caused by multiple leaks in the evaporator coil. I performed an electronic refrigerant leak search with the homeowner present and showed him three different places that the evaporator coil is leaking. The evaporator coil is rusted out and in very poor condition. The furnace is 20 years old and in poor condition as well. The heat exchanger is rusted and has metal fatigue in hotspots. The blower wheel is dirty and the blower motor is seeping oil at the main seal. The coil on the system was placed sideways and not installed properly nor size properly. I recommended updating this equipment due to the age, condition, and active refrigerant leak. The homeowner denied updating the system at this time and requested we come out in September to go over replacing the equipment. I added 3 pounds of refrigerant to the system and let the homeowner know there is no warranty on th

The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today. Price quote to charge system. Replace dual capacitor on outdoor equipment. Replace blower capacitor in furnace. And clean condenser coil. Return visit to do Band-Aid repairs today. Replaced both capacitors. Clean condenser coil. Charge system with 2 pounds of refrigerant. This is still not solved the refrigerant metering issue. I highly recommend looking into replacing the system. Was able to get the sub cool to a decent level, but this actually made Delta T drop in this system. Pics of repairs attached as well as pressure in system after charging. This will be a very temporary solution at best again strongly recommend looking at replacement options. We could use part of the payment collected today as a down payment on a new system. Long-term this is definitely the real solution. This system is simply not worth putting any more money in. It is well passed its expected service life. Based on our findings today, it might

Customer called us out for a toilet drain that is clogged. We believe a foreign object or toy may have fallen down. Customer attempted to snake using their auger and plunge, but this was unsuccessful. I will have to pull the toilet to access the drain and remove the blockage. I will then reset toilet and verify that there are no leaks and that everything is flushing properly. I was successfully able to remove stoppage. Everything is draining properly. We do have a camera inspection scheduled for next Tuesday. The customer also had an extremely high pressure so we have a service technician scheduled to come out tomorrow. I also did provide the customer with our ENDURE drain maintenance product. customer is very satisfied.
