Raised by tenant of air conditioner not adequately cooling. Upon arrival, noticed the thermostat set to 70° and the indoor temperature reading at 75° with an outdoor heat index of 98°. The temperature split was measured at an appropriate 21°. All components are within range and the outdoor coil is also clean. The current filter is clean as well. Noticed that the inside of the return ducts were very dirty, though this does not appear to be immediately affecting the cooling. It would be ideal to have extra return air on the opposite side of the house, though this is more than likely impossible due to the design of the home. Noticed the high-pressure refrigerant line is too small for today’s equipment, and can affect performance. The system may also be slightly undersized, though it is currently cooling the best that it can. No immediate issues were noticed. Thank you for choosing TE certified!

Upon arrival, met with customer and spoke with him regarding their issue. Customer showed me inside and stated that both toilets inside the home are currently not flushing. One of them was leaking from the base when trying to flush it. This issue occurred today and has not occurred before. The home is a ranch style on a concrete slab. I confirmed the clogged fixtures and also inspected the outside cleanout. The cleanout is holding water confirming a blockage in the main sewer line. Whole house water pressure is at a safe level @50psi. Customer’s water heater is twenty years old and I did bring the age of it to their attention and advised them to begin thinking of replacing it. Presented customer with options to clear the sewer from the cleanout outside and after getting signature approval began work. Ran k60 drain machine down cleanout and cleared the blockage 15-20’ downstream. After clearing I flushed both toilets and ran other fixtures. Toilet is no longer leaking from the base and

Perfomed 1 system cooling diagnostics: Newly installed 2 ton system by another "hvac" company. House is approx 1878 square foot home zoned (2 stories) with a single stage goodman system. Issues found: 1) unit is undersized. 2) evaporater is not installed properly and not draining properly. Tape connecting the evaporater coil to the furnace should have mastic sealant. Coil is not sloped properly and is draining water into the emergency drain pan. Txv also is not operating properly and should be replaced. 3) system is single stage and doesn't have a bypass damper 4) emergency drain pan is to small to provide optimal flood protection; system also could use better flood protection as well. 5) tape that joins the plenums to the furnace and the evaporater coil is also needs to be mastic sealed. Homeowner advised me that they needed me to diagnose the issues. Now they will call the previous company back out to fix the issues.

Initial observations of UL system revealed the inducer motor starts about a minute after the cooling system starts confirming a faulty furnace control board. Further testing revealed the outdoor fan motor will not start with compressor due to a failed capacitor. I was able to manually start the fan motor and upon testing refrigerant levels, temperature/pressure correlation revealed the system is grossly overcharged. The condenser coil is clogged and the previous owner must have had an HVAC contractor add refrigerant without cleaning the coil. The ML outdoor unit coil is also dirty and the unit is running very hot. I tested the refrigerant levels on this unit as well revealing it is also grossly overcharged. The capacitor on the ML unit is below tolerance and will fail soon like the UL system. The UL furnace is 31 years old and has cracks in the heat exchanger deeming it to be unsafe as it has expired its life expectancy. The cooling systems are 17 years old and have also expired their

Today I came out to an AC leaking call. Once I approached the system, I noticed water residue on the plywood in the attic. After looking deeper into the system, I found a large hole in the return plenum that had not been properly sealed during installation. Because of this opening, the system was pulling hot, humid attic air directly into the return plenum. When that hot, moisture-filled air came in contact with the cold metal surfaces of the HVAC system, the moisture in the air condensed and turned into water. This caused water to collect inside the return plenum and eventually leak onto the plywood below. I showed the customer what I found and explained what was causing the water. I sealed the large opening using HVAC tape and mastic to stop the system from pulling attic air into the return. I also dried up all of the water around and inside the affected area. After correcting the main issue, I inspected the rest of the unit and ductwork. Overall, the system could be sealed better

Today I came out due to system not cooling. System is a 2015 Trane furnace located in garage servicing whole home. I found the outdoor capacitor was bad as it’s rated 45/5 MFD +/-6% and its actual reading was .00/00. The condenser coils is impacted with debris. Blower motor has heavy debris built up on fan blades. Indoor blower capacitor is failing as it’s rated 5MFD +/-10% and its actual reading is 4MFD. After going over all findings and options, customer has agreed to move forward with option C. I replaced both capacitors, washed condenser coils, and blower wheel. I tested all work and system is cooling at time of departure. It was a p,ensure to meet you today and thanks for calling us out today!

During today's visit, we returned to complete the installation of a new approximately 50-foot, 1/2" gas line for the main-level kitchen stove. We began by protecting all furniture and equipment in the basement to ensure the work area remained clean and all belongings were properly covered. Access openings were then carefully cut into the basement ceiling to expose the existing gas line and provide a pathway for the new piping installation. Next, we removed the leaking yellow gas piping that was stubbed up through the kitchen cabinet and installed approximately 50 feet of new black TracPipe gas piping. Two new connections were completed as part of the installation. A new shut-off valve was installed in the basement utility room near the water heater and furnace, and an additional shut-off valve was installed beneath the kitchen cooktop inside the cabinet. An existing shut-off valve located upstream on the 3/4" black iron gas pipe allowed us to isolate gas service to the stove and fur

No cool on the only system. System has a leak in the evaporator coil, no safety flood protection at all and compressor with high amperage. System is 4 years old and not cooling properly and house getting more humidity. Sent estimate to replace evaporator coil , compressor is compromised , overheating and can stop working , specially on hotter days. Possible undersized system also. Due to the condition of the system, the best option would be to upgrade the system, and bring warranty, comfort and efficiency back to the house. Set a lead to quote upgrading for the only system in the house, and possible zone it and add a dedicated thermostat for the upstairs, for today.

I can’t say enough about our experience with TE. We thought we had an HVAC issue, so we called them based on their outstanding reviews—and they absolutely lived up to them. From the very beginning, communication was excellent. They had an HVAC technician at our home the very next day. He performed a thorough inspection, diagnosed the issue, and determined we actually needed a plumber. Instead of leaving us to figure it out, he contacted the office and arranged for a plumber to come later that same day. Both technicians called when they were on their way and arrived exactly when scheduled. Jake quickly assessed the situation, clearly explained three repair options, and helped us choose the one that made the most sense for our needs. He was able to schedule the repair for the very next afternoon, and I immediately received a confirmation text. Jake arrived right on time the next day and got straight to work. He was efficient, professional, clean, and meticulous throughout the repair. When he finished, he thoroughly tested everything, walked me through the completed work, and made sure I understood exactly what had been done before I signed off. I am beyond impressed with the level of professionalism, communication, and customer service we received from start to finish. We already have future projects planned, and without a doubt, we’ll be calling TE again. Highly recommend!

A/C went out late Friday evening in mid-July. After calling many places without much success, TE returned my call and was so courteous that I cancelled another appt I had with another company. Tech was here in less than 2 hours. Turns out the condenser had a couple of fried connectors from a power surge, likely from a recent thunderstorm and power outage. Resolution was reasonably priced IMO. I will use TE Certified again.

TE dispatched their technician Jeffrey Phung within 30 minutes of an emergency phone call. He completed his troubleshooting and made his recommendations. He discovered some additional underlying issues that could have resulted in significant damage to our home from fire. We would never have known until it was too late. Jeff documented the repair plan, gave us several options, and discussed the benefits of each option. Once we approved the work Jeff worked nonstop for 12 hours to complete the job. He is knowledgeable and a consummate professional. We will use TE in the future and request Jeff to do the work.
