Job Locations and Reviews
Upon arrival client had an old washing machine box with failed valves. Opened the wall for access to water and drain lines, cut out the failed box and installed new wash box with 1/4 turn valves and hammer arrestors. Also attempted to flush the tankless unit, however the preexisting service valves were not functioning well enough for the proper service to be performed. Replaced the service valves with new ones and flushed the heat exchanger as well as cleaned flame rods. Purged the system of residual descale solution and turned the tankless unit back on. Tested everything for leaks and proper operation.

Bad smell in the office when ac is running. Couldn’t reproduce the smell. Inspected return plenum and lines, evaporator coil and blower motor using inspection camera. Everything is clear and clean. Drain line is clear. Replaced filter . System is working properly and couldn’t reproduce the bad smell. Recommend to stall n APCO-x uv light, to get rid of any bad smell and biological growth in the system.

We were called out due to what appears to be water on the kitchen ceiling. We inspected bathrooms above and found no clear source of water leak. We cut Sheetrock and ran all water in the bathrooms above and found no leaks, nor any water or water stains in the ceiling.
Perform two $59 inspection specials on two 2018 carrier furnace and HVAC systems. Both systems are in pretty good shape and heating and cooling well at time of inspection. Both systems are simply starting to show age as they’re both eight years old now. Both systems have contactor that are buzzing pretty loudly as well as capacitors that are out of spec. I will quote price to correct the issue. There are a few other things that I do recommend that aren’t necessary but can improve the system as a hole. Both systems have decent flood protection, but there is no wet switch in place and I recommend adding a wet switch to each system. Both systems have no UV protection. Both systems are using a core thermostat that is known to have issues.
Arrived On site and spoke with tenant explaining that there was a busted pipe up in the attic space. She also explained that there were two gate style valves that controlled the hose bibs , were leaking . I wrote up a quote to run a new hose bib as they look to be previous repairs on the pre-existing line. When I tried to call the homeowner, to provide the options on repairs. I did not get an answer. I then went back to speak with the tenant who explained that he was on a flight and cannot answer his phone. I sent over the quote via email since I do not have the go to proceed with any work at this time. Trip charge of $59 processed.

2 system hvac inspection special Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system. The downstairs unit is in very poor condition. The heat exchanger is cracked in multiple locations. The refrigerant is low on compressor also . The unit is r22 refrigerant and there isn’t availability. The system is 20 years old considering all this the best option would be a replacement system. Better efficiency and less costly maintenance. The heating and cooling were tested on both units . Changed filters .
At arrival on 03/26/26 Issue: no heat System: whole home Finding: wrong zone application, single speed furnace. No bypass damper, none of the zone is bleeding air when one zone is calling. Tenant is complaining about some rooms upstairs not getting enough air when both zones are calling. high static pressure when only one zone is calling. System might be turning off on high limit switch when one zone is calling. Recommendations: upgrade system to a variable speed system that can handle better a zone system.
Upon arrival, met with tenant and spoke with him regarding their issue. He showed us upstairs to the master shower and stated that a small metal hair trap had fallen into the shower drain. The shower has drained fine since but there is a concern it could cause clogging in the future. I informed them that we can attempt to snake the drain and pull out the object but cannot guarantee success. Also inspected customer’s water heater located in the garage. Water heater is 2024. The piping above it used many sharkbite fittings and the expansion tank is currently leaning and connected to a shark bite with PEX piping. I recommended that another technician comes out to give estimates for repairing the piping above the heater. Customer would like to only focus on the shower drain at this time. Presented the customer with estimates to snake the shower drain. Customer states that the homeowner will be paying for the snaking of the drain and gave me her email so that I could email the estimates. Ho
Today we came out for only system not cooling after squirrels were in the attic. Cycled equipment from thermostat found system low on refrigerant 410a. Performed courtesy leak search found leaks in evaporator coil. In addition condenser coil is impacted with dirt and replaced four year old filter from wall. Client does not have traditional filter rack. Inspected heat exchanger on furnace found severe metal fatigue and hot spots. Checked manufacture warranty and it has expired. Due to poor maintenance log and condition of equipment recommend updating. Will email band aid repair option and install supervisor will email replacement options
Homeowner had a pinhole leak on the recirculating pex line in the basement. The tankless is around 7 years old and new homeowner had not had any maintenance. Flushed tankless and descaled the unit. Cut out failed piping and replaced. Set recirc pump timer to only run 6 hours a day. Tested and everything is working properly
Replaced electric water heater
We were called out due to a broken Kohler tower flush canister. We replaced the broken canister.
Inspected for leak. Found that the winter isolation valve for the hose bib was dripping. Replaced valve. Tested for leaks and function, all good. Thank you for choosing T.E. Certified.
Checked filters and they need replacing. Cleaned drains, flame sensors and inducer ports. Wired float switch not wired for second floor system. Did this under home care. Dirty condenser coils, weak capacitor. Main floor furnace has good size crack in heat exchanger. Upstairs system has very small crack in heat exchanger. These cracks will get worse and will start to leak carbon monoxide. Home owner had an appointment to get too, left forms in mail box.
We repaired a water leak on the copper line supplying the ice maker behind the fridge. We also sold a heater and Prv for tomorrow
Today we installed a media wall box for a new framed TV
I have used TE for many of my upgrades and fixes over the years and every service visit was exceptional. Yesterday, Michael Upchurch came out to help locate a water leak that on the property, and like all the previous service techs, he did not disappoint: professional, knowledgeable, courteous, friendly and sincere.
Leak discovered inside of evaporator coil Schrader valve. Replaced valve and insured no further leaking from that spot. Pressure test tested and charged with R410 an accordingly. It is currently 48° outside which can affect the charging rate. System otherwise operating properly at this time. Thank you for choosing TE Certified!
Wayne was courteous and professional. Kept me informed every step of the way.
For this job, I conducted leak detection service for homeowner and discovered leak in the yard between two trees. It was hard to get a direct hit on it because of the system between the two big oak trees. Customer has decided to go with a full line replacement, which we will be doing Thursday, March 26. She will get a lifetime warranty on the new water service.
Came out due to system not cooling. Customer said she changed thermostat & unit would not work after. Upon arrival, the nest thermostat was in a lockout mode. We got it out of lockout mode and then it said it couldn’t resister some of the wires in the terminal slot. Went to the air handler located in attic and found all low voltage wires were heavily corroded and the wet switch was bad. There was also biological growth all throughout system including on wires, blower wheel, door panel, capacitor, and frame. Drain line had no float switch and did not have the correct pitch or Ptrap. After going over all findings and options, customer has agreed to move forward with Option C. All work has been completed and tested. System is operating properly at time of departure. It was a pleasure to meet you today, we hope you have a great weekend!
Ryan was very professional and thorough with his inspection and diagnosis.
