Customer stated heat wasn’t working. During inspection found dirty blower wheel and weak capacitor. Also noticed drain was run improper and filter needed to be changed. Customer supplied filters to change. Also found evidence of rodents and customer had insulation eaten off plenum. During diagnostic found control board received high and low voltage. Board sending voltages to inducer and igniter. When tested voltage to the gas valve found 0v. Found discoloration around line voltage spade connection. System has a bad control board. Presented options to customer to repair system and repair everything else found today. Customer declined all options but the band aid option.
Came out today because hvac system not heating, only system at home. Upon arrival, found one year-old system. Customer stated that the system had not currently worked in a week and he had another company come out and say the indoor control board was bad. At this time, he also stated that since he got the system, he has had several electrical issues to do with the HVAC system. Upon further inspection cannot test system all the way through due to a subpanel that controls the air handler. The bus bar is burnt in the breaker is sparking. Also found that the high-voltage coming into the system on the indoor and outdoor is at 255 V. Upon an electrician coming out, we may need to return once electrical issues are fixed to diagnose the system more thoroughly.

Out of nowhere, a bathroom outlet started hissing and grinding. We got scared. I Googled “electrician Dunwoody” and started calling places. The first outfit I called said they could send someone- in three days! Next I called TE Certified. The answering agent said our outlet issue was urgent and she put us on the top of the list for same-day service. Within three hours, Jesus arrived. He called first, when he was a half-hour away. He arrived when he said he would and couldn’t have been nicer. He tested things and explained everything. He gave us options for fixes, and then he fixed us up. Very grateful to TE and Jesus, and the woman who answered my call!
