No Cool Visit Upstairs System Compressor wire on contactor was completely burned uff while the other was charred but still connected. Repaired wire and used test capacitor but compressor did not turn over. Equipment is 1988 and cannot be repaired.

For this job the customer stated that her electric water heater periodically made a distinct humming noise. Further inspection showed an aged water heater, approximately 10 years old, indicating that the elements were struggling to keep up. I informed the customer that a replacement would be the best option which she agreed. There was also an access panel located behind the water heater where the pressure regulator was located. I informed the customer that while the water heater was out during the replacement it would be a great time to upgrade her pressure regulator. Water was shut off to the home and the old water was removed. I then replaced the pressure regulator without the need to cut dry wall and kept the same access panel. Remove Sheetrock in master bedroom behind vanity closest to toilet. Extend 2” PVC through cabinet then vertically up wall into attic. Then extend 2” pvc over to 3” stack and tie in. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBLE FOR SHEETROCK/CABINET REPAIRS INSTALLATION: Sheetrock was cut behind master bedroom sink and ran 2” PVC to the attic for the vent. Drilled holes in 3 different 2x4 in order to get 2” pvc to the attic. In the attic TE connected the 2”pvc to the 3” pvc by using a 3 by 2 pvc tee.Tested work and flushed toilet and ran master bedroom sink.

Misc home electrical repairs. (Outlets and demolition of attic fan wiring)

Customer called us out for a clogged sink in the entryway bathroom. On arrival customer informed me that the absorption gel from diapers had spilled down the drain. I recommended pulling the ptrap, clearing it out then using a plunger if need be. Customer agreed I pulled the trap and cleaned out all of the gel and put it back together. In the process I lost a washer and had to replace it. I tested the sink and it was still backing up so I used the plunger a few times and successfully cleared the issue. I cleaned up and tested throughly.

For today’s visit came out to inspect a vanity in the master bathroom. I have the P-trap removed. I’m on advised they were having issues with a slow drain so they were took it apart. Tried to clear out the clog. Gave the homeowner pricing for replacing the P-trap. Homeowner agreed and work was started. Replaced the existing accordion P-trap with a new all tubular P-trap. After testing for leaks found that the line is still partially clogged in the wall. There are no leaks on the tubular connections. Advised homeowner that we would need to get our drain team out here in order to inspect the line and try to clear it. An appointment has been scheduled for a drain team to come out tomorrow morning to clear that line. Thank you for trusting TE certified with all your plumbing needs

Upon arrival, I met with the owner. The lav drain in the hallway bathroom recently clogged and is partially draining. The drain is copper in the wall, ties with the master sink and transitions to cast iron in the crawlspace. The master sink is not affected. All of the drains in the home are cast iron original to the home. I was able to run a cable in the drain and clear the blockage. I ran water from both lav drains to test. I did advise a sewer inspection by one of our supervisors to assess the current condition of the cast iron but they have declined at this time. There is a cast iron foundation cleanout with a brass cap. If that is not accessible, a toilet will need to be pulled for access. Perform sink drain cleaning with cable machine. Clear sink drain only. Does not include repairs or main line cleaning. No warranty on drain cleaning.

I was called out to Tim’s house for a Homecare maintenance. Tim has lived here since 1987 but the house was rebuilt about 10 years ago so we performed a thorough evaluation. During the evaluation we discovered both systems are 100k furnaces and 4ton acs which are oversized significantly, the ductwork is undersized for the systems, the heat exchangers have rust falling off the metal inside the tubes making them unsafe now or in the near future, and the acs and secondaries are dirty. Due to the systems being oversized the only correct repair would be to put in the proper sized equipment in.

Customer had a pin hole leak on grey poly, we did a bathroom and laundry repipe on this house a month ago, homeowner is aware of kind of material and no warranty on the fix for today.

Arrived on site and installed a new shut off valve in the MAINFLOOR restroom , so leak detection could properly run an air test on the waterline to determine leak . Checked the new stop for any leaks prior to leak detection starting their air Test to ensure no issues .

A homeowner reported a ceiling leak, leading to a technician’s diagnosis of a pinhole leak in a copper supply line, which was successfully repaired. During the visit, the homeowner requested replacement of an aging water heater. The technician installed a new 50 gallon gas water heater with all code compliant upgrades. It was discovered that the temperature and pressure relief valve line was run in pex; should the inspector fail this installation, the technician will provide a quote to replace the pex line with CPC. The system was checked and tested for leaks.

For this job, the customer showed me a couple of issues. The downstairs toilet would not fill properly causing a bad flush, the garbage disposal was leaking, and the outdoor spigot was leaking constantly. The upstairs toilet also has a crack, but the son comes back Wednesday, and will decide on what toilet he wants. The customer opted to repair the toilet, replace the disposal and replace the outdoor spigot. I completed the work, tested everything for leaks and function. No issues found. No cool on the basement system. Thermostat was running in heating mode, when set to cool mode. I reset thermostat back to factory and cool works. Inspected system. Dual capacitor is weak (reading 32 on a 35 microfarad), system is low on Freon and evaporator very rusted and leaking. System is 15 years old and not cooling the basement properly, neither removing humidity. Sent estimates for potential repairs (replace dual capacitor, evaporator coil) that I don’t recommend. Best option would be to upgrade thermostat system, with 0 years warranty and WiFi thermostat. Set a lead to quote upgrading for today.

Came back to perform sold work, replaced the leaking tub shoe with a lift to turn, previously they had the cable waste and overflow, advised the homeowner that the overflow cover will still spin but not have any purpose, tested the lift to turn stop and it is working just like it should, filled up the tub a couple times to make sure there was no issues! Customer had toilet installed. Toilet started leaking into basement. install was under warranty from another company who is coming out to make repair.
