HVAC, Plumber & Electrical FAQs
The average cost to replace an electrical panel ranges from $1,595 - $3,000 depending on the amperage. The higher the amperage needed the more expensive the new electrical panel would be. Amp replacement is necessary when the existing system cannot be upgraded to meet new standard needs or when there is a safety risk to the existing system.
Tankless water heater cost in Marietta ranges from $1,500 to $5,000 depending on the size and type of the water heater being installed. Tankless water heaters have a higher initial price compared to tank heaters because of a more labor-intensive set-up if new gas and water lines are required for installation. For electrical tankless heaters, new electric wiring will probably not be needed for installation in most cases.
If you're experiencing AC not cooling your Marietta area home while the system is powered on, you could have a clogged or blocked coil. Unfortunately, a wide variety of debris can find its way into this equipment, including grass, dirt, and other contaminants. This can result in a serious clog, which can lead to a system malfunction. The best way to prevent this is with regular AC cleaning and maintenance visits.

Job Locations and Reviews
Cut 2 holes in livingroom ceiling where extensive moisture was present. Found zero leaking water lines or drain lines in home. Isolated service line and meter showed water usage. Customer has had very high water bill for several months. Leak present in livingroom showed up in last 24 hours. Could not duplicate leak. Checked all fixtures, stops, drains in suspected problem areas (master and hall bathroom above livingroom. Checked all copper pipes in attic. Gray poly present in photos has no water in it. It is left from Repipe many years ago. Spent extensive time in attic checking for possible leaks. No moisture or signs of past moisture found anywhere. Advised customer to get leak detection company to find leak in yard. Due to no current leaks found inside home, advised customer to leave ceiling open for several weeks and watch for moisture reappearing. Customer stated similar problem happened 9 months ago, and then not again until now. Thank you for choosing TE Certified.
Came out today to install two 50 gallon customer supplied heaters. Removed existing heaters from the system. Install both heaters in pans with water alarms. Installed new piping in parallel with new shut off valves, expansion tanks and piping. Installed new sediment traps and gas whips. Fixed leak above duct work on basement. Restored water to the home. Lit pilots and set heaters to 120. Showed customer how to operate gas valve to adjust temp as needed. Insulated piping, added valve tags and extended t&p lines.
We were told on Tuesday by James that we had a leak somewhere in the slab. Michael, the leak inspector was sent out in a very timely manner the next day and after a lot of detective work found the leak in a location that was very accessible. Michael was professional and explained all the possible options available to us, and we were very satisfied with him, his service, and the outcome. James contacted us today and he will be here tomorrow to start the leak repair. We have been very satisfied with TE certified throughout the entire process.
Remove and replace faulty circuit breakers
No cool due to drain line being clogged. Upstairs drain goes outside, y the garage and it goes under the concrete and couldn’t find the end of the pvc drain. I cut the drain line, by the garage , to drain the water. Also, Vacuumed drain line. It’s completely clear. Inspected system. System is working properly with no issues. One years old only, new install by other company. No other issue at this visit. Most of the vents upstairs were closed. Opened all returns and supplies upstairs.
Estimate to install a 55 gallon Rheem, pro plus electric water heater with an 8 year manufacturer’s warranty. This includes a new expansion tank, water shutoff valves, and running a new water heater relief valve line to the exterior of the home. Performed work as per estimate
This was the first time I called TE Certified to look at our upstairs air conditioning system. Frankly I expected the worst experience because of previous companies we used in the past. What a pleasant surprise. Great service, great and honest discussions, great recommendations and a pleasure to work with. Shane’s expertise, knowledge and resolution save the day. Restored our system and set up a schedule to discover problems before they happen. Glad we called them, looking forward to working together in the future.
Upstairs The equipment is 3 1/2 tons therefore itrequires 1400 CFM’s of return air but it’s currently operating with 1100 CFMs. Also, the outdoor fan motor has been replaced since the original installation. Therefore, it’s probable that the low return air coupled with the failure of the outdoor fan motor is responsible for the internal where the compressor has experienced. The drain line lays flat on the attic floor. It should have slope, as well as flushed to prevent it clogging and backing up. Downstairs The equipment is heating and cooling properly at this time.
Upon arrival, I met with the owner and was shown the upstairs hallway bathroom. The toilet recently clogged. I tested and confirmed nothing else is affected. They attempted plunging and augering with no affect. I also attempted augering but couldn’t get through the toilet. I pulled the toilet off, augered in reverse and found a make up container. Confirmed the toilet was clear. Reset with a new wax ring, supply and bolts. Filled, tested and confirmed no leaks or errors. Shut off, drain and remove toilet in order to manually remove blockage. Clean and inspect toilet flange. Reset toilet with new wax ring, closet bolts and supply line. Fill, test and inspect for leaks or errors. **Estimate does Not include the use of drain clearing/ cleaning equipment**
Arrived on site for a no cool. First time visit. We found the upstairs 2017 ducane AC was frozen solid. We had to defrost the coil to check what caused it but did confirm blower was running and the filter was clean and replaced a few weeks prior. The furnace is from 2002 and so is the entire downstairs system. They said the system froze a few years back and they added some refrigerant. After it was thawed I saw standing pressure of 141 on each side which was a red flag. Once we cycled the system, we confirmed the system was low on refrigerant due to the evaporator being compromised. They wanted me to just add some refrigerant and joined Homecare so we can continue to monitor the systems. They have 2 older systems they would like to keep going so we added some refrigerant to dial in pressures and to give them some relief from the 82 degrees upstairs. There is an 8” duct up in the attic that is completely disconnected and damaged to the point it needs to be replaced. It did cool down to
We troubleshot the kitchen outlet breaker tripping
Replaced shower valve and trim in basement bathroom. Secured valve in wall. Leak tested all work. Thank you for choosing TE Certified!
Replaced uv bulb for main floor system. Verified operations of air scrubber and flushed drain.
For this job we installed a Ev charger for Prabhakar Yelamanchila, off of the meter main disconnect with breaker spaces and added an EV charger directly behind it in the garage corner.
For this job, a troubleshoot was performed on the main breaker for the building. Multiple people had stated that it was tripping towards the end of the day. The breaker had recently started tripping about two weeks prior to this visit and only tripped between 2-3pm. This troubleshoot process involved the testing of amperage on each conductor, testing voltage output, checking temperature on each conductor, and a visual check of any heat damage or corrosion. Upon close inspection it was discovered that A-phase, which is the black feeder wire connected to the main breaker was very hot to the touch. This led to the inspection of the torque connections for every feeder and conductor, which turns out were loose. After confirming with the customer, power was shut off for the whole building. I was able to take every conductor out of the main breaker, re-seat and re-torque every wire to ensure proper and tight connections. Upon completion of inspection of the interior electrical equ
Cut out ceiling in laundry room to locate Leak, repair section of copper in ceiling.
For this job, I conducted leak detection services for homeowner as a TGL for original technician James. During my investigation, I discovered the leak was under the slab, so I drained down the home and put compressed air on the plumbing system and use my sonar to locate the leak in the powder bathroom on the main level of the home. The location has been marked with a blue X.
Run new circuit and disconnect for hot water heater
1 System Inspection - Upstairs System Performed inspection on upstairs ac system. System had previously been making noisy after last weeks storm. The homeowner stated the noise only lasted a few days and was intermittent. The system is operating properly today, however the system is slightly low on refrigerant, the coil is dirty, and there are some original components that are weak. Overall the system has normal wear and tear for its age. Homeowner approved topping off the charge. Charged system to manufacture specifications. Thank you for choosing T.E. Certified, have a great day!
Repair sunroom circuits
Today I came out on a no-cool call. The indoor unit was running, but the outdoor condenser was not coming on to reject heat. After further diagnosis, I found that the outdoor control board was fried and had several visible burn marks. The purple compressor start wire was also burned. This system controls the main living area I ohmed out the compressor and confirmed that it is grounded, meaning the compressor has completely failed. This is a 2006 system that operates with R-22 refrigerant. The recent storm may have contributed to the electrical damage, but that cannot be confirmed. Due to the system’s age, the grounded compressor, the damaged control board, and R-22 refrigerant being obsolete and expensive, I recommend considering full system replacement instead of investing in major repairs. The customer is interested in having an install supervisor come out to provide replacement options. The system is currently not operational. Based on our findings today, it might be time to think
Today we replaced the customers master baths toilet. We also installed 2 other toilets at the customers second home as well with the half bath being replaced along with the master baths toilet. We replaced the customers 11 year old electric water heater with a 50 gallon Rheem hybrid water heater. The water heater came with a new quarter turn ball valve on the cold inlet side, a new expansion tank strapped to the wall, installed the heater in a pan, insulated the water heater, and added valve tags. We ran the condensate along the wall in the basement and ran it outside as well.
On Today’s visit I met with the homeowner. I discussed what was found yesterday with the camera inspection. I wrote the estimate to clean and inspect the pump. I cleaned off all the build up toilet tissue that was on top of the pump. I also cleaned out what paper I could grab from out of the pit. I reset the screws back and put everything back together and did a super cleanup. The homeowner is satisfied with the work completed.
Replace burnt up outlet
Wire and install new outlet and replace outdoor gfci
Customer had a visible leak on their water service main in the front yard about 8 to 10 feet away from the meter customer initially agreed for us to do a water service line repair. We dug down to expose a 1 inch piece of copper that was spraying from the side after physically seeing the line. The customer decided that we were gonna go with the replacement instead of the repair, this is scheduled for Thursday with the dig team. Thank you for choosing and trusting TE with your plumbing needs.
Upon arrival the back class room unit was not engaging with call for cooling but indoor equipment was functioning. Full high and low voltage readings taken at unit. Performed a hard reset of power and once system rebooted it engaged cooling mode. Temperature/pressure correlation is within range and system is cooling again. I could not determine why the outdoor unit would not respond. A power surge may have caused this issue but it is inconclusive at this time. Both 20x25x1 filters are clean and drain is draining at this time. If system shuts down again, turn the power off at the unit outside for 10 seconds and power it back on. Wait for it to reboot and it should cycle on until we can return for any other diagnostic concerns.
Excellent service

Upselling rip-off artists. Came to one of my homes to check a couple of things. before I know it, the guy has the electrical panel off (I didn't ask), and they are sending me estimates for thousands of dollars. (which I decline) After many emails, we got an estimate for what I actually need. When the guy shows up he says it will be 50%, more for x,y,z. I always need electricians, but I won't work with TE again.
He really knows what he speakes of and I was impressed
Joaquin was extremely helpful. He made repairs quickly and was able to explain everything. He gave me his personal card and made me feel comfortable calling with anything at all. I will use TE certified again.
Thank you, Morgan, for the wonderful review and for taking the time to share your experience. We’re thrilled to hear Joaquin was helpful, completed the repairs quickly, and explained everything clearly. It means a lot that you felt comfortable throughout the visit. We appreciate your trust in TE Certified.
Wayne was patient, very knowledgeable, and courteous. He analyzed my issue, discovered the problem, and fixed it right away. He took time to explain additional items that may need attention. However, $200 hourly rate with no materials involved seems a little excessive. I plan to follow thru with the full panel replacement he recommends. However, I will seek additional bids. That said, I like TE Certified a lot, especially their experience and professionalism.
Bryan came right on time for the appointment and was an excellent technician. He had a great way of telling me what he was going to do and carefully explained his process. He also checked other elements during his visit. He and his teammate (David) were great to work with and I highly recommend Bryan and this company. Bryan is a great representative for his company.

Bryan came to help a clogged sink. He was early to the appointment, through, personable, and most importantly knowledgeable. What was a somewhat stressful situation (any home repair issue is) was mitigated by his demeanor and expertise. Hopefully not in the near future but I will be a repeat customer. Pricing is a bit on the high side but all plumbers in general are and that didn’t have an impact on the level or service I received. He doesn’t set pricing.
Everything was handled smoothly, from scheduling, calling when the Electrician was on the way, and clearly explaining the nature of the issue that needed attending to.
