HVAC, Plumber & Electrical FAQs
The average cost to replace an electrical panel ranges from $1,595 - $3,000 depending on the amperage. The higher the amperage needed the more expensive the new electrical panel would be. Amp replacement is necessary when the existing system cannot be upgraded to meet new standard needs or when there is a safety risk to the existing system.
Tankless water heater cost in Marietta ranges from $1,500 to $5,000 depending on the size and type of the water heater being installed. Tankless water heaters have a higher initial price compared to tank heaters because of a more labor-intensive set-up if new gas and water lines are required for installation. For electrical tankless heaters, new electric wiring will probably not be needed for installation in most cases.
If you're experiencing AC not cooling your Marietta area home while the system is powered on, you could have a clogged or blocked coil. Unfortunately, a wide variety of debris can find its way into this equipment, including grass, dirt, and other contaminants. This can result in a serious clog, which can lead to a system malfunction. The best way to prevent this is with regular AC cleaning and maintenance visits.

Job Locations and Reviews
For this job, the customer has noticed for a couple of months that the water was not as hot as it used to be, and was running out quickly. They wanted to replace the unit, and opted to go with a 50 gallon natural gas unit. We performed work tested everything, and cleaned up thank you for choosing TE Certified.
Today I completed a full spring maintenance on all four HVAC systems. I inspected heat, changers, burners, and ignition components for safe operation. I checked blower assemblies, airflow, settings, and motor amp draws to verify proper performance. I tested controls and safety switches and inspected for any potential or safety code concerns. I also installed indoor air quality devices, performed cleanings and installed a wet switch on the system in the attic. I tested all equipment. All systems are working as designed at this point at time. There are no other issues here.
Upon arrival spoke with customer about a garbage disposal that was no longer working. Gave options. Customer had a 1 hp disposal that wouldn’t fit so we went with a 1/2 hp badger disposal. Removed old disposal and basket strainer. Installed new strainer, made electrical connections, installed disposal and connected to drain system. All work was tested for functionality and leaks.
Today We Labeled The Panel, Troubleshoot Lights Not Working, And Installed Bonding Bridge/Hot And Cold On Water Heater.
Arrived on site to troubleshoot landscape lights not working. We tested power at the transformer and outlet. We noticed the outlet was not receiving power. We took the outlet out and the wires were receiving the correct power. We installed a new weather rated outdoor GFCI outlet with a new bubble cover. We sealed this outlet so moisture cannot get inside. We installed all new bulbs for the two bulbs not working. We also discussed other landscape lighting ideas as well as a new surge protector. Everything is working upon departure.
Wired in and installed a new digital in wall timer in the garage on the left wall for the sconce and floodlight. I set the timer for seven days a week “On Time” 8:15 pm and “Off” is set for 7 am per customers request. We found a Sycom surge in the panel and the customer declined us removing it and just had us turn the breaker off.
Attempt to clear shower blockage Customer called us for a slow drain in the master shower on the 2nd floor. Upon arrival I tested the bathroom group to ensure we didn’t have a mainline issue present. We ran water for a long period of time and didn’t see any signs of a mainline blockage, only the shower was being affected. I tested the other fixtures in the home to ensure proper flow in the drains. I left some water running and headed to the cleanout and I saw good flow through the cleanout. I ran my cable machine through the drain to clear any obstructions present in the drain. I pulled back some hair buildup and I ran water to test the drain flow and we were successful in restoring proper flow. Customer already uses endure from our previous technician.
Tech was out for main level not cooling. Found filter 16x25x1 impacted with dirt and dust. System unable to breathe. Seen blower wheel dirty. No flood protection on system. There is a float switch on emergency drain pan but will stop system once drain pan is full of water. Condensate pump tubing has been spliced and no C clamps around spliced tubing to secure. New tubing has been ran to old tubing. Old tubing is hard and can crack causing water damage. Condensate pump low voltage is not wired up to shut system off is pump stops working. Condenser not turning on due to break in wire between wall and out side. Would need to run new low voltage wire to furnace and outdoor condenser. The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today. Ran new low voltage wire to condenser to furnace. Added 1 pond of R-32 to main level system.
Remove tubular, cap existing drain, and remove copper discharge piping. Drill new 2” hole in back of cabinet and extend 2” piping below. Cut Sheetrock below to access truck line then Tie into existing pvc. Install new tee, AAV, tubular, and dishwasher connection under kitchen cabinet. Customer responsible for Sheetrock repairs Installation: Today we rerouted the kitchen drain line through the bottom of the cabinet and tied back into the main trunk line. We drilled through the cabinet floor and stubbed in a new piece of PVC pipe. Downstairs in the office we cut access to the old kitchen drain so that way we could cut and cap. Then we attached our new PVC into the trunk line. Under the sink, we rebuilt all of the drains. Install installed an AAV under sink. Tested everything thoroughly and ensuring no leaks and proper drainage. Cleaned up work area.
I installed an Emporia charger beside the panel and a surge protector for the home.
Arrived on site to perform a troubleshoot for the basketball goal lights not working. We discovered the breaker tripped. The reason the breaker was tripped was due to damaged wiring inside of a metal conduit. The wire was making contact with the conduit causing the breaker to tripped. We installed new wiring from the basketball goal switch to the outlet. We installed a new switch with an outdoor cover. We installed a new GFCI outlet and cover. We installed this on a new 20 amp square D Homeline breaker. We also installed a new junction box in the attic for a wire that was just coiled up in the attic. We installed a new box and cover for this wire. We also discussed other projects that are not taking place at this time. We discussed some issues with both the main panel and sub panel. Everything is working upon departure.
Customer called us out for a clog in the kitchen sink. I examined the pipe and it appeared to be an issue farther down the drain line. I recommended clearing the line with a flex shaft and the customer agreed. When I took apart the p-trap no water came from farther down the line. I cleaned out the stuff in the p-trap and put it back together, tested the sink and had no back up. I tested the sink and cleaned up for 15 minutes.
Upon arrival spoke with customer about a new kitchen faucet she wanted to have installed. Gave options. Recommended replacing both service valves under sink as they were multi turn valves but customer declined at this time. Shut down water and drained house. Removed old faucet. Removed both strainer baskets. Installed two new strainer baskets and reconnected drain piping. Installed new faucet. Installed new supply lines. Restored water to the home and bled air from system. Installed a new toilet for the homeowner to resolve sizing and comfort issues with the existing unit. Upon removing the old toilet, discovered a broken flange, which was promptly replaced to ensure a secure and leak free connection. After completing the flange repair and new toilet installation, conducted a full operational test, properly sealed the base to the floor, and performed a thorough leak inspection. All systems confirmed, functional, with no leaks detected. Requested homeowner not sit on toilet for 24 hours so that sealant can dry.
For this job I replaced a leaking water heater. I installed new 50 gallon gas heater with a 4 year extended warranty kit making the water heater a 10 year warranty. I installed new cap, elevated heater, capped off pan and left a water alarm inside of pan. I installed new expansion tank and secure to heater using mounting bracket. I made all new copper connections and I made new gas connections aswell. I set temperature of heater to 120 degrees. On tank I set psi to 70, house psi is 61 psi. I tested and left work area clean.
Called out to address a leaking water stop. On arrival found that the hot side water stop in the hallway powder room was leaking from the body. Homeowner also wanted me to replace the dewinterization valves in the basement due to them being multiturn valves and leaking. Give the homeowner options for replacement of both water stops and both shut off valves. Homeowner agreed and work with started. Began by shutting off water to the home and draining the system. Once the system was drained, cut out old multiturn valves and replace with new quarter turn ball valves. In the hallway powder room removed the leaking water stops and replace with new quarter turn water stops. Also replace the supply lines for that faucet has a courtesy. In the master bathroom, replace the pop-up assembly as a courtesy. Once all work was complete tested for leaks and functionality. No leaks and everything is functioning properly. Diagnostic only Performed diagnostic on 2020 Lennox heat pump system that is owned. This is a single stage piece of equipment on a zone set up. It has not been proper from day one. When it is time to replace it, it needs to be replaced with a multi staged piece of equipment. Builders typically use the lowest quality products they can to get by their warranty. Period and that is absolutely the case here. These Lennox systems are known for a very short lifespan and leaking coils. Do not be surprised if you’re told in the next year to three years that it is time to replace the system. Upon arrival today met with homeowner and homeowner stated the outdoor unit is not coming on. Turn both thermostats to cool and went in the attic and found blower to be blowing and zone board calling in cool. Moved outside and outdoor unit was not running. Had a call to yellow on the defrost board continuity through all the pressure switches but no call out from yellow out on the defrost board. There is a co

No cool carriage house. Found 2002 Goodman heat pump to have failed dual capacitor. Changed capacitor and system started running. System has no flood protection and is well beyond life expectancy. Air handler is not completely accessible and repairs would not be recommended as it is r22. Replacement of the unit would involve cutting out apartment wall and home is on the market. Disconnect has been bypassed as well. Recommend replacement of system but due to situation customer not getting quote.
Homeowner has a leak in their garage ceiling below a bathroom on the second story. The garage is a stand alone garage. The water to the garage is shutoff currently, and leaks when the water is on. I cut into the damaged Sheetrock and found copper water lines, however found no leak. Upon further investigation, I found what appears to be a freeze break in the attic space behind the bathroom. I also found a 30 gallon electric water heater from 2009, and this water heater is sitting in a pan full of water with a very corroded base. The pan drain for this heater is also ran in PVC I cut the copper above the break above the floor, and below the floor after both a 90 and a push to connect fitting. I installed approximately 1’ of new 3/4” type L copper and a new 90 going though the floor. I removed the corroded water heater. I cut the water lines connected to it, and disconnected the power. I disposed of the water heater. I removed the old plastic pan as the pan was full of old green water,

My wife and I live in a 1924 home that, due to years of poor work by previous owners, was left unsafe and far from code. Trevor and Chris were outstanding. They quickly identified issues that multiple other companies had missed and diagnosed everything on the spot with confidence and expertise. Just as important, they were incredibly kind, professional, and thorough. They took the time to explain every step, making sure we understood the process and felt comfortable along the way. We never felt pressured—only given honest, thoughtful recommendations. Their work ethic was remarkable. They stayed focused, worked tirelessly, and kept a positive attitude the entire time—even going so far as to eat lunch in their truck quickly so they could hop right back to work to keep the job moving. After dealing with other companies that either overwhelmed us or didn’t follow through, working with Trevor and Chris was a completely different experience. They truly transformed our home. If you need electrical work, skip the rest and go with TE Certified Electrical— and make sure you ask for Trevor or Chris.
Gabe and Elijah did super work in our newly purchased house. They had to make some complicated changes to existing ductwork, and they made it seem simple. Gabe communicated with me throughout the process as I was in a completely different state, so I could not be present. He sent pictures and called. I am VERY happy with the work and the amazing service.
Andrew was very professional, thorough and communicated clearly. We have used TE multiple times and we are very satisfied with their service.
