HVAC, Plumber & Electrical FAQs
The average cost to replace an electrical panel ranges from $1,595 - $3,000 depending on the amperage. The higher the amperage needed the more expensive the new electrical panel would be. Amp replacement is necessary when the existing system cannot be upgraded to meet new standard needs or when there is a safety risk to the existing system.
Tankless water heater cost in Marietta ranges from $1,500 to $5,000 depending on the size and type of the water heater being installed. Tankless water heaters have a higher initial price compared to tank heaters because of a more labor-intensive set-up if new gas and water lines are required for installation. For electrical tankless heaters, new electric wiring will probably not be needed for installation in most cases.
If you're experiencing AC not cooling your Marietta area home while the system is powered on, you could have a clogged or blocked coil. Unfortunately, a wide variety of debris can find its way into this equipment, including grass, dirt, and other contaminants. This can result in a serious clog, which can lead to a system malfunction. The best way to prevent this is with regular AC cleaning and maintenance visits.

Upon arrival, the homeowner explained they had an excessive water bill over the last three months. We began by performing a thorough evaluation of the home and found an occasionally running toilet on the main floor in the powder room and the water heater from 2007 leaking in the basement. With the homeowners approval, we drained down and removed the existing 50 gallon gas water heater and installed a new Navien 240A-2 Tankless water heater with necessary, upgraded gas line and venting. We installed a new main shut off out for the home, pressure regulator valve, and stream labs leak monitoring system. We also installed a new Kohler Kingston toilet located in the powder room And relocated the waterline to the wall per customers request. After completing all work, we pressurized the system and tested to confirm proper function, no further issues detected on the plumbing system at this time. During work performed, we discovered some form of electrical ground issue in the home. The water
Brandon, his assistant plumber, and the entire digging crew performed exceptionally. They really worked together so that the job was completed in a short and efficient time without any difficulties. Great bunch of men. and, the price was way lower than the other 3 quotes I received.

The condenser coil is impacted with debris. The evaporator coil is dirty and has an abundance of rust on it. The heat exchanger has 2 large cracks a few small ones that are also starting to rust. The system does not have enough return air and has to small of a supply plenum. This is why the heat exchanger cracked prematurely. I went over some different options with the homeowners and hey decided to due a band-aid repair to get the system some what cooling today since they have 3 kids bedrooms on the upper level. They requested we send out an install supervisor and I have booked that appointment for this afternoon. Completed a system inspection for a 12 year old ruud split system. We have a handful of major concerns that need to be addressed. The home was recently purchased and was a flip before being sold. They turned the carport into a bedroom but that room is very hot, they also removed the in-wall filter cabinet and move the filter location to the base of the blower compartment. There’s water running down the outside of the system as it’s cooling. During our inspection I found the evaporator was severely impacted and dirty. The attic had hardly any insulation. The additional room has NO insulation at all. The abandoned filter cabinet needs to be reinstalled. The return plenum has biological growth from the drainage issues. The evaporator was extremely rusted. The heat exchanger has a handful of spots that are approaching failure and is a major safety concern in this condition. The blower wheel is heavily impacted, the blower motor is leaking oil. There’s a considerable amount of work necessar

Today I did and arc fault diagnosis, upon diagnosis I found several breakers tripped throughout the home. One in the garage for the warming drawer and three downstairs in the left-hand panel for the lighting in the downstairs living room. I informed the homeowner how to reset a breaker and be aware of any appliances that may be defective. It appears that the home had taken a surge. I left quotes to install whole home service protection.

Price quote to use mighty pump and 2 gallons of water to flush drain. Upon arrival, met with homeowner. Homeowner stated the plumber was out yesterday and diagnosed a clogged HVAC drain. Gave customer several options after look at the equipment. Gave customer the option to perform an inspection, become a maintenance customer, which includes clearing the drain, or price to simply clear the drain. Customer chose to simply clear drain. Clear drain with mighty pump, flushed 8 gallons of water down this drain. Drain is flowing very well after this repair. Unclogging a drain comes with a 30 day warranty. Recommend adding a wet switch to the system. A wet switch will turn the air conditioner off before The water gets to the overflow pans.

Estimate: Excludes running electrical. This will be quoted and billed by our electrical department. We can run the unit on a drop cord for now, but the customer will need an outlet installed before the county performs there inspection. This option does not include installing a regulator or putting in a request to have Atlanta gas light upgrade the meter. If the unit does not get enough gas, we will have to perform this work later at the homeowner’s expense Work performed: Removed old water heater and installed a Navien 240A2 at a new location in the garage. We ran 40’ of 1” gas piping to the unit. We connect the unit to the hot and cold water lines in the home. We ran an exhaust and intake to the exterior of the home as well as a condensate and relief line. When restoring gas to the home, the gas meter’s regulator and shutoff valve failed. We contacted Atlanta gas light and they replaced the meter and repaired the leaking shutoff valve. We set the temperature at 125 as requested
