Arrived on site to troubleshoot a system without power. Clients noticed a few days ago that the system wasn’t draining unresponsive. They had a family member come by to troubleshoot and he thought the transformer was failed but after a detailed inspection I found that the furnace power switch was failed and broke off the 120v hot wire that’s sent to the door switch. I was able to bypass the switch to complete testing. The transformer was in good shape and the system was cooling normally until this event occurred. Client said they are more than capable of doing the switch themselves and skews us to leave the system this way since it’s working and they’ll tackle repairs from here. The system is approaching 20 years old and is approaching the end of its life but once the system came back on it was producing a 22 degree temp split without any other faults or failures.

Upon arrival, met with customer and spoke with her regarding their issue. Customer showed me inside and to the main level half bathroom. The toilet is clogged and not flushing. I confirmed that this issue is isolated to only the toilet and not affecting other fixtures. Home is two years old. I gave the customer options to clear the toilet and after getting signature approval I began work. Ran closet auger through toilet and made multiple passes. Cleared soft blockage and toilet is flushing correctly now. Flushed toilet multiple times with and without toilet paper and it did not clog again. Cleaned work area. Customer is satisfied.

Arrived to address a few concerns that the customer had about their system. 1) sweating around the laundry room boot in basement leading to biological growth on wall. Reason for this is lack of return prevent the removal of the hot air from the dryer causing excessive humidity and sweating. There is only one return in the main room downstairs behind a couch. The return is also pretty small and not enough to fully service the entire downstairs area. Recommendations: - add a return into the downstairs hallway to allow for the heat from the laundry room to be pulled out more efficiently. -or add a return to main downstairs room - or increase the size of the current return and move/adjust the couch to allow for proper air flow 2) condensation from the suction line dripping onto the condensate drain line creating biological growth. There are some small rips along the insulation on suction line that allows the sweating to drip through onto the line. Recommendations: - patch up little

No Cool - 1995 Goodman AC, 2003 Goodman Furnace Found bad capacitor on outdoor unit. Completed a full inspection on the whole system. Checked heat exchanger and cycled heat. Checked contactor and refrigerant levels. Inspected condensation pump and thermostat. Checked air temps and compressor amps. Furnace is older but still operating. Still has single wall flue pipe and the gas flex line is ran through the furnace cabinet AC system is 31 years old. After replacement of the capacitor refrigerant pressures were checked and pressures are very high due to the outdoor coil not being effective. Compressor amps are elevated. System is currently cooling the house. The house is for sale and the customer needed it running. We had a conversation about the overall performance of the system and what the best options would be. It was agreed to have a project manager come and give him a quote. Scheduled for tomorrow morning 8/22/26

Replace main line from the meter into the home where penetrates into the exterior wall on the left side of the house. Put in a meter box and courtesy valve at the meter that’s in front of it. Installed a new pressure regulator valve and main shut off for the house inside. Turn water back on to check for leaks and sealed penetration with concrete and tar to prevent exterior water from coming inside of the home. Bury the trench back and mount it up the dirt for it to settle properly. Found no issues with the work that was completed today and thank you for choosing TE certified.

Upon arrival, customer stated that his water bill was high. Opponent inspection I found that it was not a leak under the dirt on the main. It was in fact the TMP going off due to high pressure and high temperature. I gave the customer options. He opted to replace the TMP as well as the PRV all work was tested no leaks in the meter has stopped moving.

System was cooling upon arrival but not maintaining temperature and the thermostat had a filter change alert. 20x25x1 filter was very dirty and replaced it today. There was also pet hair in the blower wheel making it sound slow and wobbling so I clean it out and started unit back up. Blower sounds much better. Condensate pump ran a few times while at furnace and it is functioning and clean. Temperature/pressure correlation of refrigerant is out of parameters due to a clogged condenser coil which has caused the capacitor to become weak and below tolerance. The coil needs to be chemically cleaned and the capacitor replaced. Client declined repair today.

Upon arrival spoke with customer about a leak coming from the garage ceiling under the kitchen sink. Upon investigation the water filter under the kitchen sink was spraying from a pinhole in the house. Installed washer box for the washing machine in the garage. Drain is routed overhead as there’s no drain lines on the bottom level. Replaced both side and rear hose bibs and shut off valves. Added vacuum breakers, secured bibs to house, sealed around bibs, insulated piping and added valve tags.
