As we arrived today it was explained to us that multiple receptacles mainly in the bedroom areas have lost power. After your inspection of the areas involved, we found that there were two receptacles in question. One receptacle was burned, and another receptacle was going bad internally, which is one of the power was out. We did find all of the receipts we removed from the wall were stabbed in the back, which is not a good practice and frowned upon today. After talking things over with Mrs. Barbaro she decided to replace all the receptacles and the affected room and also the burned receptacle in the other bedroom. After our receptacles were removed, and the new receptacles and covers were installed power was restored, and everything worked properly again. I’m attaching an estimate to do a total house red device. This means we were replaced all receptacles and switches throughout the entire house. I’m also going to attach a panel replacement estimate. Steven was friendly, knowledgeable and respectful. Since I don’t know anything about electrical wiring, I relied upon him to explain what he was doing and to show me what needed to be done. He did that and he didn’t seem to mind my standing nearby asking him questions. However…I also realized that we went from $139.00 to fix a broken light switch to $1000.00 to replace breakers that Steven said were not correctly installed. I sincerely hope that this was the case and that we weren’t scared into fixing something that didn’t need repairing. I would like to have a reliable company to call upon if we ever need electrical work again.
