Installed new water line per estimate and Prv everything was tested and is working properly.
Service Recommendation – Soft Start Request Customer requested soft-start kits for both HVAC systems due to both compressors showing very high startup/inrush amperage. Both systems were measured starting at over 200 amps, while normal running amperage was initially between approximately 8.5 and 9.8 amps. The condenser coils were slightly restricted, so I rinsed and cleaned both coils to improve airflow and heat transfer. After cleaning, the running amperage dropped to approximately 7.14 amps, showing improved operating conditions. For the Daikin system inspected: * Compressor RLA: 14.1 amps * Compressor LRA: 87.4 amps * Measured startup amperage: over 200 amps * Initial running amperage: approximately 8.5–9.8 amps * Running amperage after condenser cleaning: approximately 7.14 amps * Requested soft-start kit: ICM Controls ICM870-16A * Part / Product Number: ICM870-16A * Quantity needed: 2 soft-start kits, one for each system, pending verification that the second system falls within
For this job, I performed a troubleshoot on the customers electrical system that provided power to the HVAC units outside. After checking testing voltage outputs and checking every connection inside the units, the panel, the breakers, and the main disconnect, all loads and connections seemed to be fine and functioning properly. I tightened the main disconnect feeders and every connection in the panel to ensure a tight connection. We called an HVAC tech to come out to quote the customer for a soft start kit, which will most likely resolve the issue being that this was not an existing problem before the new HVAC unit was installed two years ago. I spoke with the customer about whole-home surge protection and (4) mismatched breakers that were existing in the main panel. After informing of the benefits of surge protection and the concerns about mismatched and misplaced breakers, we agreed to perform work and bring the equipment up to the minimum safety standards for his home and e

Upon arrival spoke to the customer about a leak at the water heater. Gave options. Brass female on the cold side nipple was cracked and leaking. Electrical on top was full of water but breaker was not tripped. Cut out piping above water heater. Installed new brass female, tee and shut off valve. Restored water and verified the unit hadn’t been compromised by the water and that there was 240 volts to both elements. Insulated piping and added valve tag.
Performed double system Spring Maintenance. Completed the HVAC heating and cooling inspection checklist. I ran the systems in heat and cooling for 30 minutes and the systems are operating according to specifications. I flushed the drain lines with two gallons of water. I treated the system with endure to ensure it’s draining properly. All components are reading within range and operating to manufacture specifications. Please refer to inspection form for any additional notes.
