For this job I did a warranty swap on a 50 gallon gas water heater. I had previously changed out the burner assembly as well as the gas control valve, however, the heater would not light. I contacted Rheem and got it approved for the warranty swap. The new unit was put in and lit. I waited for approximately 1 hour to ensure the water was hot and the heater made one complete cycle. All work was thoroughly tested for leaks and proper function.

For this job the customer stated the 50 gallon gas water heater they have would not light. Further inspection showed that the water heater is only 2 years old making it eligible for warranty parts. A new burner assembly was sent to the customers home which I installed, however, the pilot light would light and stay on but the flame would go out after igniting. I pulled the burner assembly back out to double check the trd of the water heater which was still in tact. I next changed the gas control valve but unfortunately the heater did the same thing. I contacted the gas company which came out and said the pressure at the meter and water heater was good. They also changed the regulator to make sure. After trying multiple times I could not get the heater to light anymore. The customer is considering their options between a warranty swap on the heater and will let us know in the near future.

Installed (2) sets of 1” EMT conduit from panel H3, up into the ceiling and over to the areas where the new equipment is going to be. We used a laser to pin point where the drops are going to be located and we stopped the co suit at those locations. We installed (2) sets of #3 wire for the 277/480v at 80 amps inside the conduit. Due to scheduling we will be back on the 7th to complete the panel and test the wiring we installed.

Installed two new weather rated GFCI outlets for the pond equipment. We replaced the switch with a new switch as well. We installed two new bubble covers for these outlets.

For this job, the customer showed me a hose Bibb on the side of the home that broke completely off. While diagnosing I checked the water pressure, it was 100 psi. To fix the issue the customer opted to go with option 3 to replace the PRV and hose Bibb. I installed the new hose Bibb in pex with a new shut off in the crawl space for winter and added insulation to the hose Bibb line. I also installed a new watts 25aub regulator on the main line coming into the home to bring the pressure down to 65 psi. When I checked the pressure I noticed no expansion tank installed on the water heater in the basement, since the heater is from 2007 I left options to have it replaced which come with a new expansion tank. Upon arrival, we met with the contact on site. They’ve upstairs guest toilet clogged recently. They attempted to plunge but were unable to clear. We tested, confirmed nothing else is affected. We were able to auger and clear the blockage inside the toilet. We tested and confirmed no leaks or errors at this time. The home is a new build, with Gerber toilets. I advised the owner that if they continue to have issues, it would be beneficial to install higher functioning toilets. Estimates have been provided. Perform draining clearing on toilet. Drain clear only. Does not include repairs or main line clearing. No warranty on drain clearing.

For this call, homeowners were not getting adequate volume of water to their kitchen sink. Once we inspected the crawlspace, we saw the house was ran in galvanized which likely caused that issue. While we were down there, there was also no PRV which we installed one and set the pressure to 65 and there was also a section of cast iron drain that was cracked. We cut it out and replaced it with PVC pipe to prevent it from leaking more. Homeowners bought a sink that we put in as a courtesy to be proactive about the galvanized corrosion possibly clogging up the old one to avoid any issues in the future.
