Responded to the customer's concern regarding the system not cooling as efficiently as expected. Found that the customer had recently replaced a soiled air filter. Verified system operation and optimized thermostat settings by adjusting the Cooling Boost activation temperature from the default 100°F to 85°F. Set the Overcool feature to 3°F and adjusted the deadband settings to improve overall comfort and system performance. Performed a complimentary refrigerant leak search at both the outdoor unit and the indoor evaporator coil, with no leaks detected at this time. Discussed the benefits of the HomeCare Maintenance Program, and the customer elected to enroll. Also reviewed the condition of the existing fiberglass ductboard distribution boxes and provided an option to replace them with metal distribution boxes for improved durability and airflow. The customer approved the replacement, and the installation has been scheduled for Wednesday.

For this job, the customer just bought the home and was having some work done. The brother of the customer removed the water heater due to the floor collapsing in. He noticed the rust on the gas piping going to the heater. We also noticed there was no PRV installed to the home. The customer opted to replace all of the gas piping in the home. We only did the portion to the water heater today and PRV. We are returning next Monday to finish the work. Thank you for choosing TE Certified.

Troubleshooting voltage on the grounding system

For this call, homeowners originally had us out to possibly put a shower door back on its tracks. Upon inspection, it was noticed that the shower was remodeled so there was no way for the shower doors to be installed. They did have another issue with a sewer smell in the kitchen. When checked, the Studor vent wasn’t threaded into the fitting for the drain and it also had an accordion p-trap and didn’t have proper drop going into the wall. Recommended reworking the p trap to fully being hard piped and adding the basket strainer as well. Homeowner agreed so we completed said work and tested our work multiple times to ensure the trap was working properly with no leaks. At this time everything is working as it should at this time. Estimate to replace shower cartridge in upstairs tub shower combo to stop occasional drip. We replaced the upstairs hall bathroom shower cartridge. We also cleared debris from tub drain as a courtesy.

Replace leaking 40 gal short water heater with new insulation, expansion tank, bonding ground clamps, metal pan, and reconnect to the water system. Release air that were trapped in the pipes and turn water heater on set to 125 degrees. Registration will be filled out for warranty and permit will be submitted for inspection sometime later this week.

Drain line poorly pitched from initial installation. This was causing water to back up into the unit and fill the drain pan. Homeowner previously cleared the drain pan before arrival. Also noticed that the zone board wires were not fully secure to the transformer, causing it to sporadically make contact. Tightened wires. Homeowner mentioned they would raise the drain line by propping something underneath it. There may also be a potential restriction or thermal expansion valve issue. The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today. Upstairs capacitor extremely weak. Replaced with approval. Further diagnostic revealed that the upstairs system is also quite low on refrigerant. Explained that the system is leaking from somewhere with it being low on refrigerant. And with the homeowners only living here for two years, there’s no telling what happened in the past. Especially with the main floor also being low on refrigerant and containing UV die. Capacitor replaced to keep the system semi cooling until further actions can be made. Project manager is on the way now to discuss further options. Thank you for choosing TE certified! Issue: no cool System: main floor Finding: at arrival on 06/27/26 found main floor system not cooling. The Heatpump was disassembled by homeowner. All doors were exposed open. Homeowner tried to replace their outdoor contactor and apparently wired back all wires wrong which lead to wires burnt at the air handler. Blank thermostat. I gave option to 1st fix inside low voltage wires before proceeding with the outside unit. Homeowner mentioned they do not have $229 to fix wires. They told me to stop there so they will pay the $98 diagnostic fees and they will deal with it themselves. So, I stopped by diagnostic, collected the $98 and left.
