No Cool-2021 Rheem System Complaint of master bedroom not cooling and upstairs over cooling. I found the zone motor for the master bedroom was stuck closed. Also found that the upstairs zone motor was replaced by another company and was not installed correctly which allowed air to constantly blow into the upstairs room. I corrected the incorrectly installed motor and now now air flowing to the upstairs zone. I will need to return to replace the master bedroom motor. Customer did decide to replace all of the motors that needed replaced. There are 3 in total.

Customer called us out because he took a surge from a storm. I inspected the house and panel and found a few issues. The washer cord had signs of arcing, so we replaced the outlet and the customer is having someone check the washer. Other appliances that where damaged where, ice maker, garage tv, router, pet camera, blue ray player, digital clock, garage door opener, makeup vanity lights, and dog water fountain. Lastly the smoke/co alarm was damaged so I replaced that as well.

Unit got hit by lightning service call. The heat pump got hit by lightning strike the outdoor transformer and control board and also motor are bad. I also inspected indoor unit. Furnace does have a lot of wear and is starting to rust. The indoor coil is in need of cleaning. Gave customer quotes and is going to talk to insurance. System is a 2011 model and is nearing its lifespan.

Upon arrival we met with homeowner. Spoke with homeowners regarding their issue. Customer food waste disposal is not functioning and has rusted through and is unable to be unjammed. Customer’s laundry sink drain is also disconnected where the tubular piping meets the basket strainer. Gave customer options to install new disposal and install a new basket strainer. Customer agreed and after getting signature approval we began work. Remove existing garbage disposal, furnish and install new garbage disposal, connect electrical wiring, connecting all drain lines replace as needed, test unit, clean-up, product overview and maintenance care with customer. Includes new Insinkerator Badger 3/4 HP Unit. Installed new stainless steel basket strainer and tested laundry and kitchen sink for leaks. No leaks. Disposal is functioning properly. Cleaned work areas.

Installed bath fan and new dryer circuit

Performed a two system inspection on two 2007 Goodman AC and furnace. Both systems have over limit amp draws, burnt contactor, out of limit dual capacitor, out of limit run capacitor, biological growth in return and supply Plenum, flex gas connector going into the furnace cabinet, both systems are lacking return air CFM’s, both systems have minimal flow protection, both systems have dirty coil and dirty blower wheel. I did leave the customer with options to get all these taken care of, he wants to speak with his wife and possibly have a project manager Come out here sometime next week. He does not want to put good money in a 20 year-old system. Thank you for using TE certified.

No Cool- 2005 Trane System- Main Floor Customer had system off when I arrived. It was turned on and only the blower was operating. The customer explained that his neighbor helped him replace the condensate pump recently. I explained our process and proceeded to inspect the indoor unit. The indoor coil was found in very poor shape. Clogged with dirt and a large refrigerant leak. Indoor coil is heavily deteriorated with rust from age and use. Inspected the furnace and found a cracked heat exchanger and dirty blower wheel/motor. Cracked heat exchanger can possibly become a safety issue. Outdoor system was inspected and found that the compressor amps are very high indicating the unit is worn. Contactor and capacitor checked good, refrigerant levels low from the leak at the indoor coil. The issue for what I was originally called out for was from the condensate pump replacement done by the customers neighbor. The cardboard tab was left in the pump. 1 System Inspection- 2022 Package Unit. Checked indoor coil and blower. Checked refrigerant levels and cleared drain. Inspected duct work and all unit electrical. Indoor coil and blower wheel is very dirty and needs cleaned asap. Multiple vents inside are not filtered. This is allowing dirt to build up inside unit. System still has a whole system filter cabinet inside the crawlspace that is not being used. I recommended replacing filter cabinet and removing the current filters inside the house. Also recommended cleaning the coil and blower wheel before the amount of dirt buildup causes premature failure if the system. House 2100 square feet and system is a 4ton. System is slightly oversized for the home.
