HVAC, Plumber & Electrical FAQs
The average cost to replace an electrical panel ranges from $1,595 - $3,000 depending on the amperage. The higher the amperage needed the more expensive the new electrical panel would be. Amp replacement is necessary when the existing system cannot be upgraded to meet new standard needs or when there is a safety risk to the existing system.
Tankless water heater cost in Marietta ranges from $1,500 to $5,000 depending on the size and type of the water heater being installed. Tankless water heaters have a higher initial price compared to tank heaters because of a more labor-intensive set-up if new gas and water lines are required for installation. For electrical tankless heaters, new electric wiring will probably not be needed for installation in most cases.
If you're experiencing AC not cooling your Marietta area home while the system is powered on, you could have a clogged or blocked coil. Unfortunately, a wide variety of debris can find its way into this equipment, including grass, dirt, and other contaminants. This can result in a serious clog, which can lead to a system malfunction. The best way to prevent this is with regular AC cleaning and maintenance visits.

19 year old Rudd has furnace & AC - System not keeping up System is outdated and all issues related to back to the systems age, 19 years old. The system is low in R-22 refrigerant “Freon”, and has a leak in the system. The compressor is over amping and running hot. The condenser fan motor is also running hot. The blower wheel is dirty and the blower motor is covered in dust and seeping oil at main seal. Due to the age, refrigerant type, condition, and no repairs available for the cooling portion, I recommend updating this equipment. Thank you for choosing T.E. Certified, have a great day!

At arrival on 07/30/25 Found main floor system no cooling due to wet safety switch that was triggered off. Water was underneath the wet safety switch and in the secondary drain pan. I opened the air handler and found that water was coming out of the primary drain pan between the hair handler’s door and the edge of the primary drain pan. This maybe potentially due to blower pulling water over the drain pan, or the evaporator coil is dripping water outside of the drain pan from the extended coil ubent tubes, or handler is not level. I also found that the air handler was not level right which could cause water no to drip and drain properly. Leveled the hair handler to allow proper water dripping and drainage. Cleaned water in the drain pan and reset the wet safety switch Tested system for more than 30mn and did not see any water dripping in the secondary drain pan. “If problem persists again, we will have to replace that air handler because the frame or blower motor might splashing w

Upper level system - Not cooling 15 years old old Rheem system located in the attic. This system had a tripped breaker on arrival. I reset the breaker and jump started the outdoor unit. The system came on but has multiple issues. The compressor valves have blow by, the evaporator coil is rusted, the condenser coil is heavily impacted with debris, the fan motor is over heating, the blower motor is seeping oil, and the blower wheel is dirty. The system is currently on, but is only making a 10° temperature split. The main level system has a grounded compressor and is not repairable due to the refrigerant type (R-22 Refrigerant). I recommended getting a quote on updating both systems and set up a 2-5pm appointment for tomorrow to have one of our install supervisors come out and go over the equipment options. The upper level system could shut down/fail at any moment and the homeowner is aware of this. Main level system is 26 years old. Thank you for choosing T.E. Certified, have a great d

Maintenance Replace capacitor with American made turbo 200 Performed diagnostic on upstairs system. This is a mixed system. A new furnace with an older condenser unit. The condenser unit is from 2014. Upon arrival unit was off. Set to cool mode and started testing. Fan upstairs was circulating air. Upon inspection of outdoor unit, nothing was running. Pulled cover to electrical panel and had power on both ends of the contactor. Remove power from the system and began to test the capacitor. Upon touching capacitor, it legitimately fell apart in my hand. It was installed improperly. It was in a cardboard box not secure. Installed a turbo 200 to test and compressor and fan came on. System was immediately very hot. Tested pressure and pressure in system was 160/ 510. Removed power and did a quick water clean of this coil. Customer hose was right there. This brought pressure down significantly. Pressure was 130/430. This system may be overcharged or have another not so obvious issue. Reco

Today I did a commercial diagnosis on a circuit that had a dead short. Upon diagnosis, I found a circuit that was double fed, feeding power back into the panel and was touching the metal inside of the panel. I capped off the wire and restored power. I also informed the homeowner that that particular circuit is powering several outlets in the front lobby, the coffee pot, and the water cooler. Total amperage with with just a coffee pot and the water cooler is 19.23 A pushing the limits of that circuit breaker. The circuit in question today was number 17 and controlled the outlets in the lobby.

No cool upstairs. Found system to have failed dual capacitor not allowing fan motor to start. System had too large of disconnect breaker on unit. Ac is dirty.
