Tech noticed Improper size ductwork at return plenums, Zoneboard, damper and motors bad, bad transformer, lacking proper safety switches, dirty filter, indoor and outdoor coils dirty and outdoor electrical components bad… tech explained with Landlord about our system replacement vs system repairs… customer wanted to move forward with system repairs at this time… tech will order parts and get on schedule for tomorrow morning…. Got Landlord approval to make all repairs necessary to restore the unit to full health and eliminate all other concerns.

Upon arrival customer stated that upstairs system was not cooling properly. Did full inspector 7 year old system and found that system was very low on refrigerant and almost empty. This indicates a big leak inside the equipment. Outdoor contactor is bad, outdoor capacitor is bad, compressor very loud and failing, condenser coils very clogged. Outdoor unit, as a whole is not in good shape. Checked indoor system, filter was extremely clogged, blower motor capacitor is bad, blower wheel very dirty, unit is not raised high enough for system to properly drain. Went over findings with customer, advised customer that system was in need of a lot of repairs, recommended speaking with our install supervisor about updating system. Customer approved to receive free estimate to replace equipment. Install supervisor came to site today, customer is moving forward with full system replacement for upstairs. Customer wanted to have main floor system looked at today as well. Gas furnace is 7 years old,

For this job, I worked on installing a customer provided fan in the upstairs bedroom. provided and installed a ceiling fan box as it did not have one prior to the installation. Also installed a dual function breaker as a courtesy due to the original one had tripped during work and would not reset. left several estimates with homeowner to improve the safety of the home and bring it up to code electrically. Tested all voltage and connections upon completing fan is working properly.

Jamie the technician arrived on time and appeared and acted like a professional. His service was of old days being courteous and in detailed fashion explaining how the service call would proceed. He even allowed me time to go purchase an extra thermostat to install while he was there. To top off the service he even insisted wearing boot covers while walking on my hardwood floors. I had another HVAC company but will switch to TE for that as well.

Obed was very courteous, and even had shoe coverings every time he entered my house (without me even asking! A rarity with service personnel around here...). He was knowledgeable and efficient, and very professional. Price was a little higher than I had hoped to pay, but I would gladly pay a little extra for the excellent service I received. Would definitely hire him again!
