After complete troubleshooting I found the heat pump system Goodman 3 ton capacity 10 years old is in poor maintenance conditions the blower wheel it’s Highly impacted the indoor evaporator coil is highly impacted and creates Airflow restrictions test outdoor heat pump unit the Duel run capacitor failed is out of spec from manufacture test temporarily capacitor check refrigerant charge pressures are low compressor is weak condenser coil It’s dirty. Perform courtesy electronic leak search for indoor evaporator coil And is leaking refrigerant coil is made of aluminum can’t be repaired Needs to be replaced air handler drain line is not protected with Safety float switch unit is out of warranty I already verified warranty Was expired on 4/21/2025. Due to aged and conditions vs costs of repairs I recommend to upgrade complete system. Homeowner is aware of the Conditions

For this job, we worked on installing a dedicated circuit for the indoor dry sauna. Also installed 3 outlets in the master bathroom and closet and 1 in a bedroom.

Installed two fill valves, one upstairs one downstairs all work was tested and documented with pictures

System was no cooling due to a blown fuse, blower wheel is dirty, no form of water safeties, and contactor is out of manufacture specs. Repaired low voltage issue, replaced contactor, and replaced filter. System is operating properly.

Cut out pinhole in grey poly to replace with small section of pex piping. Everyone is aware this is a temporary repair until we move forward with full water line repipe. Water turned on and tested to ensure proper function.

Home care check for house with a furnace in the attic. 16x25x1 filter clean, so was not changed. Capacitors within manufacture specifications. Blower wheel dirty, recommended cleaning. Plenums/ducts dirty, highly recommend duct cleaning. Biological growth above evaporator coil, this growth can be a respiratory irritant and can clog coil, preventing air from passing through, recommend Apco X air scrubber to kill growth and clean air and clean evaporator coil. High amp draws for blower motor, compressor, and condenser fan, recommended a condenser super boost kit to aid aged compressor. Unclogged drain line with shop vac. System did not have flood protection, customer agreed to have it installed today. Condenser coil dirty, preventing the system to breathe like it should. Advised customer to consider replacing system or have work done to prevent issues.

Upon arrival customer stated she was wanting to have a second opinion done for hvac equipment that controls the main floor when you first walk in. Did a through evaluation of 23 year old system, system and found that blower motor is pulling high amps and failing due to age and very dirty blower wheel. Blower capacitor tested good with no issues. The evaporator coil is very rusted and rust is falling into condensate drain line, went to test condensation pump and found that pump is not working, there was power coming from the outlet, condensation pump has failed. Customer explained to me that thermostat which is located right by front door picks up a heat load whenever the sun is on front of the house, thermostat would to be relocated to a better location to balance system properly. Checked over outdoor unit, capacitor and contactor have been updated found no issues, condenser coils were clean. Unit is aged and has failures advised customer I could put together repair estimates to replac
