Coil and furnace both from 2011 condenser 2018. Showing signs of age and leak detected in evap coil. Homeowner states system does not cool to set temp, especially during the day They had another company out here, which stated there was a leak so they added refrigerant and it still didn’t work then they came back out and informed homeowner. They need to replace the piston. They did not perform any leak search I performed my own thorough valuate of system, which I did a leak test with the IR detector where I did have consistent hits at the evaporator coil and the Schrader valves on the outdoor unit Refrigerant charge was showing low at a 1° super heat on a piston system 25° sub cool Blower wheel was dirty. Evaporator coil was clean temp split was 18. Spoke with Goodman, which stated they do not have any of these coils in stock except for warranty, which this system is out of warranty Discussed options with homeowner, which unfortunately will have to be just getting quotes for new equipm

The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today. System low on refrigerant. This indicates a leak within the system. Tenant approved, adding refrigerant into the system for a temporary fix. Full potential repair estimate is attached, though replacement may be more beneficial. System cooling upon departure. For this call, homeowner needed an icemaker box installed in order to put in new fridge. After cutting a square in the wall behind the fridge we installed the box and made the necessary adjustments to add in the line directly from a cold 3/4 line, cutting out the saddle valve section. Inspection for main floor system, and upstairs system Main floor system 2 1/2 ton package unit carrier 2015 Upstairs system 2 ton carrier 2016 Package unit was running well checked all components and refrigerate. Found that the blower wheel needs to be cleaned as well as the evaporator coil. Thermostat for package unit only has four wires with a nest thermostat and I believe is losing power every now and then which needs a wire saver for a common wire Main floor system is operational Blower wheel needs to be cleaned Evaporator coil needs to be cleaned There is no clean out for drain line and drain line needs to be re-ran which is blocking the filter rack There is no emergency drain pan under system There is only an SS two safety on this system Some biological growth forming on components as well as blower wheel and coil inside air handler One of the wire nuts on line voltage looks to have melted a little bit and needs to be redone Refrigerant level is showing under charged Discussed al

I had two teams from TE scheduled and they both did a great job. My HVAC system was in dire need of cleaning and the technician inspected areas I did not even know needed to be cleaned. The drain line was absolutely disgusting, and he cleaned it out and it looked brand new! That alone is worth the review!! TE is my "go to" team!
