Upon arrival customer stated that heat had stopped working, and that it was not working. After inspection of 33 year old system found that system had a bad igniter. Igniter was cracked and corroded. Did full inspection of system found that blower wheel is very dirty, blower motor is pulling high amps, blower motor capacitor is bad, heat exchanger is very rusted inside and out, heat exchanger is condemned. Equipment is very dirty. Condensate pump is very old and worn out. No drain pan or flood protection is on equipment. Inducer draft motor is pulling high amps when running. Unit has single wall flue pipe . Customer only wanted to have a new igniter installed today to see if system would work. Advised customer I highly recommend updating furnace before making any repairs, customer declined recommendations at this time. Replaced igniter and system did come on, system is still having issues it did light but unit is having a rollout every time the furnace ignites. Tested furnace and found

Tech completed diagnostic at indoor furnace system only. Tech noticed gas line a connection are good. But furnace heat exchanger is bad with potential cracks at heat exchanger, this can lead to a fire hazard in buildings when furnace is being operated in heat mode… tech also found other issues and concerns at furnace that also need addressing.. He gave me a reasonable estimate of the cost of service and immediately started work and completed the job without problems. After the work he checked my water pressure and noted that all is well. Both electricians did a superior job. They were professional and they warned me about the hazards of using an alternative solution. The alternative solution did not involve using a Tesla charging station. They were able to do the service immediately after providing the estimate. after the installation they tested the Charging on the equinox and everything worked perfectly. I was happy to hear about the warranty on the service and guarantees. Overall it was a good experience.
