Job Locations and Reviews
Came in today for a no heat call. When testing system found that electrical components for heat mode had failed. Also found sings of biological growth spreading through the system. System is 20yo. Let costumer know about this issues and presented options including a system upgrade considering the year of the system. Costumer decided to move foward with repairs. Work was done and tested, system is now up and running. Thank you for choosing TE Certified!
The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today. Customer has 5 y/o Trane heat pump system that operates for basement level. System is not working due to failed condensate pump. Replace condensate pump along with installing wet switch for water protection. Replaced 16x20x1 filter. Blower wheel cleaning needed. Recommend UV BlueTube to target and prevent biological growth. Pressure levels were normal. Condenser electrical components are good. System is currently working.
Homeowner purchased a Homecare for two systems. Swapped out two filters 16x25x1. Both systems blower wheels were clean at this time. Flame sensors were cleaned. Poured water down both drain lines they are both clear at this time. Both systems supply and return duct work were below CFM ratings. Recommended work to be done on duct work to get both systems up to proper air flow designed for the house. Outside units pressures were fine at this time. Both AC units outside were both dirty. Recommended coil cleanings for both systems. Upstairs units capacitor was dead on herm side at the moment. Recommended to homeowner to replace the capacitor. Recommended flood protections to homeowner to bring the system up to standards. Homeowner said they would have to speak with their son but plan to proceed with the immediate recommendations.
For this job, we installed 2 customer provided Google Nest Cameras.
Wonderful, prompt service!
Rebuild existing water closet, including new supply line and testing for leaks
Swap a leg on cooking equipment for correct rotation, replace 2x2 light fixture
Install new pressure reducing valve, run hot/cold water lines and drainage to addition requested plumbing fixture in garage (inside of walls). All safety related issues being addressed. Thermal expansion tank (strapped to structure).
Troubleshot doorbell homeowner installed not working. Handyman had originally hooked up chime wrong and hasn’t worked for two years. Connections were fixed and doorbell now works properly
Move circuits to sub panel and add ground bar prevent panel damage surge protection
We installed a new plenum and ductwork for the upstairs system
Connect drain for washing machine pan. Troubleshoot issues with water dispenser, and water chiller. Install new pressure, regulating valve to ensure longevity of all water fixtures inside of the home. Install a cap outside of the wall to terminate the icemaker supply line in garage. It’s not recommended for a permanent solution, but would regain function of the water dispenser.
There are 2 outdoor water coolers/fountains Remove shrouds on both fountains Shut off and disconnected water supply for both Removed drain assembly from both units and block off drains Left parts I removed inside the shroud and put both shrouds back on their units The fountain at the back has a broken 1/4”x3/8” check valve, (part number elkay 55996C) this is why it’s not functioning. When we return to reconnect everything in the spring, this part will also need to be replaced before turning on unit. Unit is Halsey Taylor brand TE Certified cannot warranty these units against freezing unless we fully remove them and store inside for the winter, and the reinstall fully in the spring
I arrived at the customers home and he was having a backup affecting an upstairs bathroom group of a tub and toilet. I pulled the toilet and ran a camera to find an obstruction inside the line backed up on a lot of toilet paper. I ran a lot of water through the tub, dumping it several times to get all the toilet paper out of the way to find a broken tile inside the line. The customer informed me he recently had a bathroom remodel, and I suspect that they had mistakenly had some tile go down the drain. I ran a drain machine and cracked the tile into three separate small pieces and flushed it out of his home’s plumbing system. I ran a camera to ensure it was fully functioning.
Replaced arc fault breaker for upstairs bedroom
Make all repairs necessary to restore the unit to full health and eliminate all other concerns.
Cut sheet rock to attempt to find leak in ceiling. Could not find active plumbing leak. Resealed jacuzzi tub cracked along the outsides. Found gas leak to water heater. Replace gas flex line and relit water heater. TE is not responsible for any issues that may occur with 15 yr old water heater.
Relocate Light Replace Chandelier Install whole house surge protection
Performed 1 system diagnostic for main level unit. Found flue pipe detached, dirty blower, failing flame sensors, dirty condenser coil, no te flood protection, flue pie rusting nd has calcium build out the roof down to the furnace. Unit is 10 years old. Found condensation drain line running flat on the ground with no proper pitch.Due to age of unit and cost of repairs would recommend considerations of a new unit.
Found 31 year old Trane 80% furnace was not heating the mainfloor of the home. The furnace board was not sending 24 volts to the gas valve and was randomly restarting the sequence of operations. The pressure switch was also randomly dropping out. The furnace is extremely old and maybe a fire and carbon monoxide hazard due to its age and the due to the heat exchangers being in poor condition; combustion analysis can not be done until the furnace operating (homeowner has been advised). The system also needs updated flood protection. The homeowner has been advised about the condition of the furnace and has setup a time with an install supervisor. I emailed repair options.
Customer has 10 y/o 2-zone Lennox system that operates for whole house. Furnace located in attic. System was not heating properly due to dirty flame sensor causing system short cycle. Cleaned flame sensor. Also, noticed dirty filter. Replaced 16x25x1 filter. Dampers are operational. Amp draws are within fair range. Blower speed set properly. Ductwork is properly sealed. Blower wheel cleaning needed. Separate zone board transformer is needed. Water protection is poor. Recommend iWave for dust reduction and air purification. Advised customer to signup for HomeCare Program for regular system maintenance. Informed customer of all findings. System is currently working.
Courtesy call: homeowner wanted ductwork looked at for the upstairs system. The homeowner was told by duct cleaning company that he had biological growth in the ductwork and in the upstairs system. I found that the upstairs system did have biological growth in the evaporator coil and duct work. I gave the homeowner UV light options and setup a time with an install supervisor to get an estimate for new duct work upstairs. The upstairs system also needs updated flood protection and the drain line needs to be redone not the attic; due to not having enough slope. The basement system and mainfloor system needs updated condensation pump and flood protection. The homeowner declined the condensation pump and flood protection at the time of service. I remounted the upstairs TXV bulb; the homeowner was advised to call us back out next spring so we can run the AC system and check the refrigerant pressures (very cold outside).
A three zone heat pump on a single speed Lennox system. If one zone is shut off pressures will go beyond 570 psi triggering high-pressure switch cut off. The only true fix for this is to get a variable speed system so the system can use just the energy it needs and run it just the speed to correctly cool or heat each zone independently Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system.

TE is a fantastic provider of plumbing and electrical services. Recently had a number of home tasks and electrical activities done with TE electrician Nolan Kangas. these guys are awesome!
We had heard of TE Certified on WSB radio and checked their reviews and needed 6 receptacle repairs completed so we scheduled an appointment for a diagnostic / quote. John, the TE certified electrician made contact and was available to arrive a little earlier than the initial window provided. Upon arrival we explained the 6 needed outlet repairs to a house built in 1996. As we walked the house and identified the locations he explained specific requirements related to each issue and how he would have to trouble shoot the issue. He did his review and provided the initial project quote. John then went about troubleshooting each location issue and as mentioned previously, the house was built in 1996, he identified additional issues that we previously thought may have been an issue but the switch or outlet appeared to be functioning correctly but in reality was in process of failing due to the methods used in 1996 backstabbing versus pigtailing or Shepard’s hook. This added to the scope of the project and cost but also removed any concern moving forward with a potential arc issue that could cause a fire. John was thorough in diagnosing each issue and provided updates as to when each location/fault was corrected. The job ended up taking about 5 hours but was finished completely. Upon completion he thoroughly cleaned up any wiring debris from each area he worked as well as vacuumed the carpeted areas around the different work zones. On the post repair walk thru he made sure he explained/ repeated the locations that had new GFCI outlets and what appliances would be affected if the outlet was tripped. This was important because the refrigerator was one such appliance and you don’t want to think your refrigerator is broken and call for a repair if it was simply the receptacle requiring reset. We would recommend John from TE Certified to address any electrical concerns you may have on your house.

TE Certified is my go-to electrician. When the lights in our house were flickering, I booked a same-day appointment online. Electricians Payton W. and Javier diagnosed a major issue with the electrical line coming into my house and called Georgia Power for repairs. They also identified several safety concerns with our aging breaker panel, which we suspected needed replacement. They installed two new breaker panels with thoroughness, attention to detail, and professionalism. Payton explained technical issues in an easy-to-understand way. They cleaned up meticulously. The invoice was very detailed, well-written, and included before-and-after pictures. I’m so impressed with TE Certified that I plan switch to them for HVAC and plumbing.
Nolan is a real pro. He was very thorough, did an incredibly neat and professional job, cleaned up everything after the work was done. Will definitely be my go-to on the future.
Very pleased with my experience with TE Certified Plumbing. Our technician, Jay, was very professional, thorough and clearly communicated and resolved the problem.
