2020 Goodman 90% furnace System making a gas smell near exhaust vent outside. The system is intermittently working, the pressure switch and control board are going bad. The system will cut power for a split second to the gas valve and the flame goes out, when the valve comes back on, raw unburnt gas flows through the system. I jumped out the pressure switch and the system ran for a few minutes the went out on a high limit fault. The high limit never opens though. The board will give off random error codes at times. We were called out for the following issues: 1) The customer had questions about a blue light on the tankless in the garage that we installed in 2021. I explained that this was a normal status light on the Rinnai WiFi controller. 2) The customer was unsure of which shutoff valve shut off the rear hose bib as it was moved during a halo 5 filtration install we did in 2025. I showed the customer the shutoff valve and installed a valve tag. 3) A toilet we installed in 2021 was occasionally running. We found a failed flush gasket, most likely due to in tank toilet bowl cleaner. We replaced the flush gasket seal on the toilet. We advised the customer to discontinue the use of in tank toilet bowl cleaners.

Customer had a leaking water gave estimate for replacement customer decided to just cap off the water so the leaking will stop. So with customer approval I cap the water line going to the heater. So leaking had stop heater still need to be replace but the plumber system need to be updated customer will reach out when she make a decision. Thanks for choosing TE Certified.

For this job, the customer showed us a gas water heater which was vented into the chimney of the house, and wanted it replaced. We gave multiple options on replacement, and the customer opted to go with the 50 gallon power vent. We ran installed the heater up to code, and tested the equipment, and work we did. Once complete we cleaned up, and double checked everything again. We left estimates for removing the pvc, and cpvc water lines in the house, as well as removing the cast iron in the basement m and moving it to a different location to add room in the basement. Installed interlock kit

Service call for water leak. Leak is around vent in basement. Visual inspection found 90% furnace in attic and draining to washer box on upstairs floor. Inspected drain termination point to verify that was the actual termination point. Camera inspection area around vent where leak is present. Could not find source of leak as there is no plumbing in the joist space around the vent. Scheduled plumber for 1/31/26 @ 9am-12pm. Signed customer up for 1 system HomeCare. Leak is more prominent when furnace is operating.

Replace breaker inside the main panel

Replaced hose bib. Added a new vacuum breaker. Repiped as needed. Tested for leaks and function, all good. Homeowner requested to leave drywall off of wall to match paint. For this job, I came out and replaced existing water heater also installed grundfos comfort recirculating pump and installed comfort Tee in master bathroom. Also replaced existing prv and main shut off valve and two hose spigot shut off valves. We also code a spot repair on a pin hole leak in the garage. Tested and checked for leaks and conducted a super clean up.

For this job I came, out and conducted a leak search, I cut drywall exposed where a possible leak occurred. Upon opening wall could not find an active leak ran water for about an hour. Found another water spot in wall and will come back tomorrow to complete spot repair and other work.

Customer had a garbage disposal that was completely rusted out. Power was making it to the disposal, but the disposal wouldn’t turn on after diagnosing i pinpointed it to be at a disposal rusted out , the disposal was jammed at all , blades just wouldn’t spin , so we ended up replacing the garbage disposal with the badger five and sinker three-quarter horsepower, and after testing the disposal worked perfectly with no leaks and no backups

Main level not keeping temperature set and works longer. Found filter very dirty and it could have been the cause of not heating properly. Inspected system. Heat exchanger with some hot spots and compromised, flame sensor and igniter showing signs of wear and tear, return plenum covered by dust and biological growth and single capacitor going weak. Furnace is 23 years old, and passed the life expectancy for a system. Also, heat exchanger is compromised and air quality in the house poor and compromised. Sent estimates for potential repairs (not recommend). At this age and conditions, the best option would be to upgrade both furnaces, for a variable speed furnace with 10 years warranty, and WiFi thermostat. Set a lead to quote upgrading for both furnaces for today.

Today I replaced a 50 gallon water heater that includes a new expansion tank, water heater pan, new shut off valve for the water heater, and new gas whip. Turn the water on to check for leaks and functionality of the water heater. Performed to walk-through with Tanesha of the new heater that was installed and showed her the operations of the water heater. we are all set here and permit will be submitted for inspection and will be in contact to let her know when they are going to be scheduled to go out and look at the heater.

Heat pump trips the breaker when turns heat on. Couldn’t reproduce issue. Let heat pump run with no issue. Newer system (2years old only). Possible wrong size breaker. Customer will call our electricians to go verify the breaker panel and sizes. Replaced filter (16/20/1).

System stopped heating the house , and starting to heating back in the morning. Newer furnace with no issue. Filter is good. Drain line was clogged and activating the in line switch, or possible outside 3/4 pvc for the drain frozen. I cleared the drain line and tested system multiple times with no issue. If it happens again, best option would be to re route drain line to the vent stack, in the attic. Also, recommend to install a blue tube uv light, to give better air quality to the house, and to prevent evaporator coil from build biological growth. And it’s very important to have a home care maintenance program, so most of the issues like this would be prevent on the maintenance visit.

Added a generator inlet for a pool sub panel

Installed customer supplied kitchen faucet. The old faucet had a hole in the supply line to the pull down sprayer. When replacing faucet, noticed that under mount sink had come loose form the counter top due to poor installation and lack of proper bracing and adhesion to bottom of counter top. Notified customer of this and recommended she contact a counter top company to properly mount, brace and severe under mount sink. Sink is in place but not fully secured. Explained to customer nature of the situation TE Certified cannot be held liable for sink due to condition sink was in upon arrival and prior to work being performed.
