Received call regarding leak in service box outside of home. Customer had received a quote upwards of $2,000 from Roto-Rooter to make repair, and elected to call T.E. Certified for second opinion. Upon arrival, found what appeared to be a valve box containing a pressure reducing valve that was partially underwater. Vacuumed out contents in order to better ascertain situation, and found that the steel dome/cap on the existing PRV was missing entirely, and that one of the connections on the unit was also leaking profusely. Prepared options, and upon approval set out to complete work. Cut out and removed remnants of an old valve along with the failed PRV. Replaced with new, Watts 25 AUB unit, and plumbed in new Ball Valve to serve as main shutoff for the home. Restored water and tested connections, found no leaks at this time. Client found water on the garage floor/wall adjacent to the master bathroom and behind the water heater. In trying to locate the source of the leak, several sections of drywall were removed, revealing three different types of piping including copper, CPVC, and pex. The meter’s leak indicator was not turning indicating no water usage. I ran the shower on the opposite wall to determine whether failed grouting or a bad tile was contributing to the leak; while the insulation in the wall was found to be wet, no obvious signs of active water intrusion were observed. After operating several fixtures, confirming that the thermal expansion tank was functioning properly, and verifying that the water heater was running, an intermittent drip was identified at a copper-to-PVC connection. I removed the CPVC male fitting, installed a copper male and a press to CPVC adapter. Customer had an eaton CH dual function breaker where the indicator light was staying on. I inform the customer that this is not an issue and it is known by eaton and they say it is just a cosmetic issue. Customer wanted to replace the breaker anyways, so I replaced the breaker

Homeowner had noticed wet marks in the basement ceiling. Inspected the plumbing in the ceiling. No leaking water lines and the drain pipe closest to the wet mark is a toilet drain. No leaks from the drain pipe. Homeowner states it only get wet in the basement when it rains. Checked attic for leaking vent lines and did not find any. Water pressure was above 75 psi and Pressure Reducing Valve had failed. Shut water off and replaced PRV and set pressure to 65 psi.

I came out to look at an issue with a GFCI outlet that would not reset. I separated out the circuits to see which one that it was feeding was causing this, and it turned out to be the outlet that you had the outdoor lighting and the pool vacuum plugged in into. The pool vacuum is actually the culprit and is causing that GFCI outlet to trip. Once it was unplugged, everything else was working great. I also took a look at your panel and it is a challenger panel and it is full and since you are looking at also getting an electric vehicle, I am giving you a price for upgrading your service. Once you have your service upgraded, you will have access to more power so that you can add things such as a car charger. With your pool and two kitchens, you are definitely the max load for the power coming into your house. Also, we would be replacing that challenger panel and those can be an issue since they have had a history of the breakers, not tripping when they should. When you’re ready to move

No cool on the upstairs system due to being low on Freon (410a). Found leak in the evaporator coil. Sent estimate to replace coil, however, coil is not available and will take approximately one week to be able to get it. It has to be ordered from another state. It’s a 3.5 coil, 410a Freon, that has been phased out this years. Due to the high price of the repair and the condition of the system, best option would be to upgrade the system, and bring savings, comfort and efficiency back to the house. New system come with 10 years warranty and WiFi thermostat. Set a lead to quote upgrading for the upstairs system, for today. We should credit 98,00 back, if customer replace the system with us.

No display on main level thermostat 2020 trane 3 ton ac with matching furnace found blown fuse on ignition module located in furnace due to low voltage short in condenser. Repaired low voltage short and replaced customer supplied media. Started system up checked operations and left all equipment operational.

Came out today for a reported gas leak. The customer stated that the gas company had previously been out and identified an older gas shutoff valve as a concern, resulting in the gas meter being shut off. During our evaluation, we determined that the older gas valve was no longer servicing any appliances. We discussed the repair with the customer, and they agreed to have the unused valve removed and capped. Drywall was cut as necessary to access the gas piping. We removed the existing valve and properly capped the unused gas line. After completing the repair, we restored the gas service and thoroughly tested the repaired connection using an approved gas leak detection solution. No leaks were detected at the time of testing, and the gas system is working properly at this time.

On today’s visit I met with the homeowner. The homeowner expressed an issue with a clogged sink. The sink was backed up during my inspection. I wrote estimates to perform work and received approval. I was successfully able to clear the clog on the sink drain. I stopped up the sink then pulled stopper to confirm restoration of flow. The sink is now draining fine at this time. The homeowner is now satisfied with the work completed.

Began by troubleshooting the exterior receptacles located at the front/mechanical area of the home after determining that the outlets were not receiving power. Further testing of the circuit identified a defective circuit breaker as the cause of the loss of power.
