Job Locations and Reviews
Easy to schedule, quick response, timely, and detail oriented! Will call again!
We recently got two plumbing jobs done from Stephen Matthews. Both were large jobs… heater replacement and a new gas line to the kitchen. He took his time to do a thorough job, no rush, no cutting corners and has the perfect demeanor. I cannot say enough about how satisfied we are after completion of both. He also went over and above what he had committed to do. Highly recommend him for any plumbing work!
Replace one outlet in living room with loose wiring. We cannot warranty this repair due to old cloth insulated ungrounded wiring present in the home. Rewire is required.
Installed new gas line from mechanical room through kitchen cabinet base for gas stove. As a courtesy I reworked the gas drop for the furnace to make it more secure and get it out of the way. All fittings were tested with no leaks, water heater pilot light was lit and furnace turned on in heat mode. The new stove has not been installed yet, I did install a gas shut off at the termination point in the cabinet.
Excellent service !
For this job I replaced the garbage disposal in the kitchen that was no longer working. I installed a new 3/4 HP badger disposal. I disposed of old one. I pulled 2 toilets, one I. The men’s bath and another in the women’s on the right side. Both toilets were moving. I inspected the toilet flanged and one of them was broken. I replaced one and re set the toilet. Both toilets are secured to the flanged and caulked. The third toilet did not need to be pulled as it was not wiggling at all, I caulked the 3rd toilet as a courtesy. I also left quotes to do toilet rebuilds as parts inside current toilets are really old and have a lot of wear and tear. I also left quote to re do the waste lines under the kitchen sink. I did not see any ptraps and sewer smells get out through drain in sink.
For this job we installed and replaced a 54 space QO Main Panel and also a 24 Space Sub Panel in the garage of the home beside each other. We also installed a whole home surge protector beneath the main panel as well. We did not have to do smoke detectors, they already have them all throughout the home. GFCI’s were in the right locations and Dual Functions on required circuits as well and both panels are labeled.
Replace 40 gallon gas water heater with tankless water heater
Troubleshoot electrical issue. ISSUE: tripping breaker LOCATION: upstairs bedroom FINDINGS: upon arrival the tandem breaker was tripped. I checked each switch and outlet for any signs of a short or failing device. Devices are original to the home and backstabbed. I didn’t see any glaring issues. I unplugged everything and turned all switches off and tried to reset the breaker, and this time it held. I plugged everything back in and turned everything on and it continued to hold. I was unable to recreate the issue. At the time of leaving breaker was still holding. RESOLUTION: I left quotes to replace old devices, Meg the circuit, and replace the breaker if the issue arises again. If we are called out for the same issue we will move forward with one of those quotes.

Customer stated that thermostat was had error saying that it was mot receiving power. I inspected the thermostat and furnace. After testing power furnace did run for a few seconds then stopped. I checked the fuse on the board and looked at the board and tried to rerun the system in heat mode and the furnace board started make a loud noise and would not try to run. With the homeowners permission I replaced the furnace board and tested the heating system several times; ran with no issues. I tested the blower motor and blower motor capacitor (newer/ had been recently replaced); no issues. I checked the air filter. I verified that the gas line entering the furnace has a sediment trap. The flue pipe was double wall. The drain line was secured and had good slope. I will email an estimate for a new secondary drain pan water safety relay. I found that the breaker for the outdoor condenser is over sized; will email an estimate for a new outdoor breaker. I checked the capacitor for the outdoor

Arrived for thermostat with no power. Tracked high voltage to the breaker panel and found breaker was working. Checked high voltage going to the toggle switch for furnace power and found high voltage was coming to the unit. Found furnace high voltage power switch was broken. Customer stated they had many power surges recently. Replaced the furnace high voltage switch and power came back on to the unit. Tested the system in heat mode and AC mode. System is working properly at the moment. Recommend flood protection and electrical to come out and do a full inspection of home’s electrical systems. Previous owner had been cutting a lot of corners customer stated. The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today.
Customer called us out for a clogged right sink in the master bathroom. I inspected the sink and saw that it was a poor design that would cause back ups that the owner would not be able to clear herself like her previous pop up. I recommended replacing both in the master bathroom and cleaning the right sink p trap and Endure for pipe maintenance in the kitchen. I removed the ptrap, cleaned the right one, removed both old pop ups, and installed the new ones. I then tested the sinks throughly and had no back ups or leaks. I treated customer’s kitchen sink with Endure. Customers hot water heater was inaccessible.
Replace the outdated smoke alarm next to the kitchen. It is on a wiring system separate from the new smoke alarms that were installed. It will not set off the other alarms if it goes off
Replaced two shower valves that weren’t working properly. One in basement and one in upstairs guest bath. Also preformed trouble shooting on master shower. The thermostatic cartridge needs to be replaced. Waiting to hear back from Ferguson and availability and pricing.

Came back to complete work quoted. Work was done and tested. Thank you for choosing TE Certified!
Arrived at the customer’s home to find the cause of the issue with the upstairs HVAC system. The customer received an error telling them that the system was turned off after a low pressure lockout was initiated (error code 83). Tested heating from the thermostat. Measured the refrigerant pressure and electrical component readings. Inspected the safety and cleanliness of the system. Checked and replaced the 4” media filter with one provided by the customer. Ran duct load calculations and measured the static pressure. It appears that the system was switched into cooling while it was cold outside, causing the low pressure lockout. Reported findings to the customer.
For this job, I replaced a dining chandelier

What I appreciate about TE Certified is that they consult with you about the repair or updates, provide multiple options to tackle the situation with carried price points. I also appreciate that they leave the space clean and tidy after they have completed their work. This time Adrian completed some electrical work for us. He was so friendly and completed the job quickly.
For this job I replaced a cartridge on a shower valve in master bath that kept dripping. It was a specialty temperature control cartridge. I also replaced a second cartridge as a courtesy, only priced for the cartridge part on second replacement. I tested and left work area clean. I also cleaned out flow restrictor on kitchen faucet as a courtesy that was having low water pressure.
It was valuable for me to have an electrical report card on my house (40 yrs old. Even though things are OK for now I have an awareness possible future issues. The outlet replacement was nicely done.

Ricardo came out today from TE Certified Heating, when we woke up to our furnace not blowing any warm air. Our appointment was originally for mid-afternoon, but Ricardo was able to arrive earlier than that. He came late-morning, quickly identified the problem, and our furnace was back to operating normally and warming our house within an hour. Just like all the other TE Certified technicians we’ve used over the years, he was courteous and professional. We appreciate his help today!
When we realized we had no hot water our first call was to TE Certified. Blake arrived that Saturday afternoon and after diagnosing the problem he told us we needed a new hot water heater. We were leaving the next day for a short vacation and he set up an appointment for us the morning we were back to replace the unit. Blake was there as promised and got us up and running in a few hours. He did a super job, was excellent at communicating how the new unit functioned, and was a pleasure to work with. He is a great member of the team at TE Certified.
He’s very polite and explained really well what’s going on and fixed the issue.
