Came out today to perform a one-system HomeCare maintenance visit. Checked heating and cooling operation, electrical components, airflow, and refrigerant pressures. Flushed the drain line with two gallons of water. At the time of the visit, the system was operating in both heating and cooling. Thank you for choosing TE Certified.

Upon arrival found the hose Bibb was broken off at the wall. Tested pressure and found the Prv had gone bad. Installed new main shut off and Prv. Replaced hose Bibb and set pressure to 60 psi

Today I performed a troubleshoot on a front porch light that stopped working. I checked connections at the breaker, switch, and fixture itself. All the connections were good and voltages were reading properly. The fixtures bulb was corroded around the bulbs threads but the socket was still in good shape. I changed the bulb and the fixture is working properly again. We added silicone around the fixture to ensure it stays weather resistant. I also left an estimate for surge protection.

Returned for second opinion leak search. Rechecked indoor coil and found no leaks. Checked all accessible refrigerant lines in the attic. Checked service ports and Condensor coil outside. Found leak on the suction line service port valve core. Replaced all valve cores and installed locking caps. Recharged system to factory specs.

Replace light in kitchen We were going to replace two fixtures inside of the kitchen supplied by the homeowner. We got the first fixture up and the homeowner sought and was unpleased with the fixture provided by the manufacturer of the light. She asked us to take it down and put the old fixture back up for the meantime.

Met with the owner on site and was shown to the half bath on the main level. His daughter had dropped a pendant down the lav drain. The sink has a union p-trap that he would like replaced with a standard slip nut p-trap after I remove it to retrieve the pendant. I removed the union trap, found the pendant and proceeded to cut off the trap 90°. I glued a trap adapter and installed a master trap kit. Ran the faucet, filled and flushed the sink, confirming no leaks or errors. Supply and install 1 1/2" PVC trap kit below kitchen sink or lavatory. Includes trap, arms, and adapter.

Customer has 8 y/o 2-zone Rheem system that operates for main and basement levels. System was not cooling due to failed dual capacitor. Replaced 35/5 MFD capacitor. Replaced 16x25x1 filter. System is currently working. Filter size for upper level is 12x25x1.

Customer has 15 y/o Lennox heat pump system that operates for basement level that is not working due to failed Neat thermostat. Pressure levels were also low indicating refrigerant leak. Found bad evaporator coil. Dual capacitor and contactor were also bad. Recommend water protection upgrade as well. Replaced customer supplied 16x25x4 media filter. Customer would like to review options before decision. Customer has 7 y/o Rheem heat pump that operates for upper level. System is not cooling or heating properly due to damaged outdoor TXV within heat pump. Bulb is completely detached from TXV. Informed customer of all findings. Must inquire about TXV before speaking back with customer. Systems are currently not working.

Customer wanted to have a vanity installed as well as a water heater replacement. I will be returning on Tuesday to perform the work

Customer is aware that they would be giving up 1 circuit in one of the main panels and will see over a few days if she notices anything that is off and she is aware that if we follow through with this option and something gets cut off that the customer needs we will have to come back and charge to do whatever it takes to hook it back up if need be. For this job, I ran a 50 amp circuit from the main panel and piped outside the wall on the side of the house and 1 inch PVC conduit And ran the pipe all the way down to the back corner of the back patio and amount of the disconnect we came out of that disconnect and 1 inch conduit and ran wire to the hot tub. We ran a 50 amp circuit to the disconnect and put in two pole 30 amp GFCI breaker and a two pole 20 amp GFCI breaker one fed the pump and fed the heater. Customer is aware and knows that they cannot turn on the two breakers in the disconnect into water is in the hot tub.

Installed customer supplied ceiling fan in master bathroom on existing fan rated box. Also replaced master bathroom shower light bulb with customer supplied bulb as a courtesy.

For this job we installed three customer supplied ceiling fans. Two on the back porch and one in an upstairs bedroom. Everything functions as it should.

The switch sparked according to the homeowner. So this option is to see what’s going on. The switch in question that sparked when pulled out was found to be black on part of it, with the switch no longer working and it has a crack going down the middle of it. So this option is to replace the switch. After further inspection, I found that the massive crack going down the middle of the switch had a little metal plate that had slipped out of it. when the homeowner turned the switch on, I think it jostled the little metal plate that was touching the hot just enough that it came out and touched the ground and made it pop. So I replaced the switch and redid the connections. The old switch connections were the backstabbed kind.

Whole home inspection after surge due to lost wire from power company. Main disconnect is in need of immediate replacement. Main lug has been burned on load side of meter/main and melting present . Very likely due to loose service cable/wire not tightened on this lug. However, I recommend power company to test and verify the integrity of underground service feeders. Surge protection (3) Replace existing detectors (4) with new hardwired carbon monoxide and smoke detectors. Install (4) new hardwired detectors in bedrooms upstairs. Install additional ground rod outside and ground wiring outside Fix outlet in ceiling by securing and installing plate as courtesy. Replace main disconnect and underground service. Permit Fee.

Flip EV Charging Outlet

Customer had a leaking shower head which was caused by a failed shower cartridge as well as a failed fill valve, both are located in the master bathroom. Before taking the shower trim off I had noticed that the set screw for the handle had been stripped from a previous repair attempt prior to the customer owning the home. I advised him if this issue and told him we would have to replace the trim along with the cartridge. The customer decided to wait on doing anything with the shower since he wants to look for new trim since everything in the bathroom matches. I changed the fill valve out on the toilet and tested everything for proper function

Arrived at the property to troubleshoot the upstairs lights that had stopped working. Inspected the affected switches and outlets and discovered loose electrical connections that caused overheating and burning at the neutral connection on an upstairs switch. Explained the findings to the homeowner, including the potential safety risks associated with loose connections, damaged wiring, and overheated electrical components. Recommended re-device replacement throughout the entire house to address aging or potentially compromised switches and outlets, improve connection reliability, and help reduce the risk of future electrical issues. Also provided a quote for upgrading the electrical panel with appropriate safety breakers and installing a whole-home surge protector to provide additional protection against electrical faults and voltage surges. Whole Home Smoke Detector Replacement (TE Provided)

Returned today to replace the pressure-reducing valve (PRV) located in the basement behind the access panel. Also replaced the hose faucets on the side of the garage and in the backyard. Removed the existing kitchen faucet, installed the customer-supplied replacement, and disposed of the old faucet. After completing the installations, tested the homes water pressure, which was holding steady at 65 PSI. Checked all new connections for leaks and operated the newly installed fixtures to verify proper functionality. No leaks were detected, and all completed work is functioning properly at this time.
