Today we came out for 1 system Home Care. Furnace is located in attic controlling whole home. Blower wheel has dust and debris built up on fan blades. Both supply and return ducts have dust and debris in them. Capacitor for inducer motor is failing. Heat exchanger has several eye lits starting to separate/crack. I performed a carbon monoxide test and fortunately at this time no carbon monoxide is present. Condenser coils have dirt and debris built up on them. Contactor in condenser is becoming pitted. After going over all findings and options, Brenda
The customer was having issues with the kitchen counter top outlets tripping the breaker. After removing the cover I found the circuit for the kitchen to be burnt up at the termination point of the breaker along with some surrounding ones. This was due to double tapping of the breaker I inspected the whole buss bar and found no issues so the customer requested to have a complete panel rejuvenation completed. I removed all the old breaker and supplied and installed new breakers, cleaned up the wiring and labeled the panel. Today I also supplied and installed a whole home surge protector at the bottom of the panel with a new breaker. I am suggesting to have a complete home re device due to age and the lack of GFCI protection in the home. I also found when tracing the circuits that the outlets were loose and my tester was fully secured when making contatc.
Today I ran a new cat six line from the garage to behind the desk in the main area. I also installed a Keystone with a data plate in the bonus room and behind the TV in the living room.
Conducted electrical homecare inspection. Come off of existing outlet in master bedroom and install new surface mounted outdoor box, bubble cover and weather rated outlet.
The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today. Today we came out for second level not cooling 2013 carrier 1.5 ton with matching 45k furnace. Cycled equipment from thermostat and checked all operations found system low on refrigerant. Performed complimentary leak search found leaks in rotted out evaporator coil and one on liquid line service valve. Manufacture warranty on this equipment expired in 2023. With system leaking refrigerant and hard start kit installed on ac back in December of last year compressor is on hospice. Adjusted charge on system advised client it could leak out at anytime and will get install supervisor to give basic option on ac and coil. Customer is planning to put property on the market in 2-3 months. Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system.
I came out today and installed a new customer supplied video door bell due to issues with the preexisting one have intermittent issues with making the chime go off during the event the button is pressed. After installing the new unit I made sure the new door bells software was updated and we tested the door bell to ensure the chime is working. The customer has surge protection installed inside the panel and I informed him the only way he will know if the surge is still good is to remove the cover. I left an estimate for a new surge with a breaker and flush mount kit.
What is top lead detection service for homeowner. We isolated the main service between the meter and the shut off inside the home and there was no movement on the meter, we then moved inside to further investigate, we discovered an 11 year-old water heater with a failed expansion tank, and a failed t&P during our investigation. We also noticed the water pressure was over 90 psi pointing to a failed PRV valve.
Installed CS Kohler toilet powder room, also put on new braided 12” supply line. Also, replaced broken/damaged flange. Pulled old toilet, bagged up, removed old damaged flange installed new flange glued and 4-bolts secured to floor, new wax seal, new closet bolts, set new toilet, connected supply line, turned on fixture, tested fixture multiple times, caulked, no leaks.
For this job we replaced 14 Gen 2 CH breakers in the main panel with new dual function CH breakers. Everything functions as it should. Customer has whole home surge protection already installed on the main panel.
Replaced old leaking water heater with a new 6 year manufacturers warranty 50 gallon water heater. Replaced the leaking recirculating pump. Ran a new discharge line from the existing filter to the exterior of the home. Repiped as needed. Tested for leaks and function, all good. The flue is very close to a water line. If the inspector does not think this is acceptable, we will need to move the water line. Moving the water line is not included in this quote. Thank you for choosing T.E. Certified.
Customer reported a leaking side yard hose bibb along with concerns of a recent increase in the water bill. Upon inspection, all interior fixtures were checked and no active leaks were found from toilets, faucets, or other plumbing components. To further diagnose, the main water shutoff to the home was closed and the water meter was observed. The meter was not spinning, confirming there is no active leak on the underground service line supplying the home at this time. Based on findings, the side yard hose bibb is the most likely cause of the elevated water usage. A water pressure test was performed and recorded at 110 PSI, which is above the recommended safe operating range and can contribute to premature fixture failure and leaks. After reviewing options, the customer approved replacement of the aging pressure reducing valve (PRV) and expansion tank. Following installation, the system was tested, inspected for leaks, and repressurized. Final pressure is now stable at 65 PSI, which
No cool for the basement system and low voltage fuse was blown. Inspected all low voltage wires and connections. Found contactor bad and shortened the low voltage fuse. Replaced contactor and system works properly. No other issue at this visit.
Home care inspection on two systems. Replaced filters, cleared drain lines. Main level wet switch is bad and cutting power to outside condenser. Replaced bad wet switch and system works. Both systems are aged but working properly in heating and cooling mode. Upstairs draft inducer motor is making loud noise and main level heat exchanger is rusted and some hot spots. Due to the be (2006) and conditions of the system (r22 Freon), it’s time to think about upgrade systems and bring efficiency and comfort to the house.
For this job, I worked on troubleshooting a tripping breaker
Upon arrival, I met with the owner. The garbage disposal recently had a piece of metal stuck in it and was making a humming sound. They were able to retrieve the piece. I checked the disposal, tested and confirmed no leaks or errors. It is 4 years old and is starting to rust inside so I provided estimates for replacement. At this time, everything is functioning properly.
Great service
Customer is experiencing another backup in the upstairs bathroom. Backup is affecting only this bathroom and causing waste to backup into the tub. Since customer experienced this issue recently only a couple weeks ago we applied a discount in order to clear the line again from the toilet. We also recommended a camera technician to come out and camera inspect the drain lines upstairs to find the cause of these frequent backups and give the customer peace of mind. After getting signature approval we began work. Ran k-400 machine and cleared blockage roughly 15-20’ downstream using a retriever head. We made two full passes from the toilet to 30-40’ downstream and did not pull anything back except a very small amount of paper. We then ran hot water through the tub and sink for roughly ten minutes to fully flush out the drains. All fixtures are draining properly at this time. Reset toilet and secured it. Flushed several times with and without paper and checked for leaks. No leaks. Toilet is
Water heater would not stay lit. I tested the thermocouple and was getting a reading of 27-30 mV when the thermocouple was being heated. Determined that the gas control valve had failed. I was able to locate the GCV locally. I installed the new GCV and the water heater still would not stay lit. I disassembled the burner assembly and replaced the thermocouple. The water heater is not lit and functioning. Thank you for choosing TE Certified!
Customer called us out for a clog in the master bathroom grouping. I ran all the fixtures in the bathroom which caused the toilet to gurgle. I recommended pulling and clearing the toilet and the customer agreed. Customer had the master bathroom toilet and the basement toilet leaking from the tank bolts. Customers brother will be taking care of the issue. I removed the toilet and the right tank bolt fell out. I removed the tank for the brother to repair. I ran the cable machine down the line successfully clearing the blockage. I then cleaned up and tested the line throughly. I reset the toilet bowl with some water in to act as a trap.
Cut out leaking section of 3/4 copper above the water heater on the cold inlet line. Replaced with new section of piping and fittings and tested for leaks and proper function. Also provided quotes and options for repiping the home at the clients request.
For this job I replaced failed section of pex piping on the hot water line in basement above water heater. Pipe had a slight crack and water would spray down into floor. Left quotes for installed a water monitoring device as well as a full home filtration system. Tested and left work area clean.
Make all repairs necessary to restore the unit to full health and eliminate all other concerns. Miscalculation of duct work on 5 ton. 2140 cfms psi on dual return is present. Installed Iwave ionizer upstairs furnace. Installed new blower motor and cleaned blower wheel. Installed wet switch.
Performed 2 system homecares: Changed all air filters. Flushed the drain lines and treated the drain lines with enzymes and clean out tablets. I tested the heating and cooling systems. Both heating and cooling systems were operating at the time of service call. I tested the flood protection and verified that they were operating. I installed 2 blue tube UV lights to treat black biological growth (after getting customers permission).
Brandon provided excellent service and was very knowledgeable about the problem and the repair.
Received call about a leak in the front yard. Upon arrival, determined, due to the placement and elevation of the wet spot in the yard, that the site of the manifested water was also likely the exact site of the leak in the service line. Performed spot dig and excavated leaking pipe until visible. Once discovered, turned water off at the meter. Continue to remove water from the hole and prepare the area for repair. Cut out the affected section of pipe and fabricated a new section to be put in its place. Once prepared, turned water back onto the home and tested for leaks. Once repaired, turn water back on to the home and test it for leaks. once repaired, turn the water back on to the home and test it for leaks. Found no leaks as of this time. Turn water on inside the home to flush air out of the system and any built-up debris, dirt, or residue. Ensured to the best of ability that, while fully pressurized and while water was in use, the repair held its integrity. Backfilled hole, cleaned
My customer is experiencing a small leak under the pedestal sink in the main floor powder room. It appears to be a blown seal on the hot supply tee for the bidet. My customer had mentioned that they want the bidet removed anyway. We ended up replacing the stop valves under the pedestal sink and the valve for the toilet. Replaced supply lines and removed a bidet. The PRV is an old watts unit. While it is still holding pressure at 60 psi. I can’t guarantee that it will remain this way for much longer. I recommend replacing this with the aging house shutoff valve soon.
Today we came out for large conference room not cooling 10 year old Lennox$ 5 ton with 1998 carrier 110k furnace. Cycled equipment from thermostat checked operations found system critically low on charge. System has major refrigerant leak, performed complimentary leak search found evaporator coil leaking. Checked with Lennox and manufacture warranty has expired. With system having refrigerant leak compressor has been damaged. Inspected heat exchanger in carrier furnace with digital camera found first dimple coming through high limit switch cracked. Took pictures to attach to invoice and tagged furnace unsafe to operate due to potential carbon monoxide fumes.
