Our client had a seven year-old AO Smith with premature tank failure. The defective unit was uninstalled and the new one was installed. Unit was tested for leaks. No leaks were found. Client’s water pressure 55 psi. Our client also has a small water leak at the basement wall penetration on the water service that will be scheduled in the days to come. I also noticed that there was an improper drain line out of the evaporator coil as well as I recommend upgrading the flood protection devices. There is also an improper gas sediment trap. Add in an extra switch for the disposal on the countertop and install installed a quad receptacle on the countertop.. 20 amp for the dishwasher 20 amp for the counter countertop 15 amp for the disposal.

Furnace in the crawlspace is beyond repair, extreme levels of oxidation inside the cabinet, heavy debris on the blower. Condensate pump is original to the system. System is 19 years old. Heavy rust on flue pipe. Ductwork is damaged, looks like something has chewed through it. Homeowner is interested in furnace replacement, ductwork and condensate pump are important aswell. Both capacitors for the ACs have failed. Recommended replacing both and possibly contactors. Recommended flood protection. Based on our findings, it is time to replace the main floor furnace.

Performed customer 1 system hvac inspection Gas furnace is 6 years old, ac and coil is 6 year old. Did full inspection of system, upon entering crawl space customer and I noticed standing water. Found that drain line is not draining correctly to the outside, there are a lot of bellies in line, drain does not have good slope to it. Water is actively leaking. System is not properly leveled and sitting in ground, there is water leaking under evaporator coil. Supply plenum and duct system is sweating due to not being properly insulated. Inside furnace is rusted. Flue pipe is single wall venting into chimney. The flue pipe is laying on duct work and water and rusting flue pipe. Flue pipe is not up to code. Duct is older. Checked outdoor unit, condenser coils are dirty. Capacitor and contactor tested good, refrigerant levels tested good. Gave customer estimate for the start of repairs on system. Due to system not being installed correctly do not recommend repairs recommend updating system.

Replaced washing machine box with new pex washing machine box. Cut open drywall and cut out old washer box and tied in new washer box. Tied into grey poly water piping with pex water piping. Tested and ensured everything is working properly.

Called out for a back up in the downstairs hall bath. Took the trip apart, and ran the cable to clear the line Blockage was buildup and gunk. Tested thoroughly line is open and flowing at this time Left the customer an estimate for the P-trap Thank you for choosing TE certified.

After complete troubleshooting I found the indoor thermostat was replaced recently by customer test thermostat Is working ok . Test complete system 4 Ton capacity Goodman 12 years old System is in poor maintenance conditions the indoor gas furnace unit at crawl space the pleated filter highly impacted blower wheel highly impacted the flexible gas line connections are not up to code vent flue pipe Is completely rooted some supply metal ductwork is missing the insulation And falling apart. Test outdoor condenser unit Goodman 4 ton capacity 12 years old the compressor is reading low resistance at internal windings The contactor failed condenser coil is highly impacted. Arrive spoke with customer stated system outdoor unit fan is turning on, but unit is not cooling. Checked indoor unit. Checked blower wheel and evaporator coil. Checked all electric electrical. No in-line safety no wet switch. Checked outdoor unit. Found failed dual capacitor. Refrigerant leak at section line schrader valve core. Compressor is compromise due to running on low refrigerant. Customer approved, dual capacitor, Schrader valve core and add refrigerant. Powered unit off. Install installed new dual cap, capacitor and Schrader valve core. Cycled system on. Added 2 pounds of 410 a. System now cooling. The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today.

Main Silver Comfort Unit Package

Upon arrival customer stated they just got back in town and found that ac unit was not working. Gas furnace is 13 years old, ac and coil is 13 years old. Did full inspection of system found that unit has a failed compressor at outdoor unit. Condenser fan was coming on but compressor was not. Capacitor tested fair, contactor very burnt and pitted, condenser coils very dirty. Checked indoor unit, blower wheel is very dirty, blower motor capacitor is bad, blower motor is pulling high amps. There is no flood protection on system. There is no drain pan under main system or condensation pump. Gave customer estimates for repairs, customer declined recommendations at this time. Customer received estimate for system replacement in May, spoke with install supervisor he is going to send customer updated proposal. System is not working at this time.

Today’s visit was for the system not cooling. Customer said the unit was blowing warm air. I inspected the indoor unit. The system has no flood protection. I notified the customer of that. I checked the blower motor and capacitor. The blower is Speeding up and slowing down. I found the furnace control board is intermittently changing speeds from cooling speed fan only speed. It’s. 2008 model. The evaporator coil is deteriorating badly. I checked the outdoor unit. I found the dual capacitor and contactor is bad. Also the condenser coils are very dirty and the system is R22. I gave the customer repair options along with flood protection quote. I advised the customer that I highly recommend replacing the unit due to age and being R22. The customer chose the bandaid option at this time. I replaced the dual capacitor and contactor .
