Troubleshooting and repairs

CUSTOMER HAS A HOME WARRANTY. Found frozen coil for upstairs equipment. Circuit board has hot spots. Blower loosing lubricants. System is of r22. System is low on r22. Customer says she calling her home warranty.

Found faulty dual cap on outdoor system. Recommended replacing Aprilaire 413 filter. Recommended replacing dual cap, contactor and adding a kickstart. Also found system short on return ductwork. Recommended adding a 10” return. Customer moved forward with replacement of dual cap, contactor and coil cleaning. Replaced parts. Confirmed operation. System is cooling at this time.

Upon arrival, met with customer and spoke with him regarding their issue. Customer showed me inside and downstairs to the basement bathroom. There is a sewage ejector pump for the basement bathroom inside a chase in the bathroom. When I arrived the pump and high water alarm were unplugged. Customer stated they unplugged it due to hearing a humming sound. The pump was installed a few months ago and is a Zoeller pump. The lid is damaged but the company who installed the pump could not find the correct replacement lid so they taped and caulked the existing lid to seal it. I began by making sure the outlets are receiving power and the alarm and pump are getting power. I then plugged the pump back in and flushed the toilet multiple times to test it. The pump kicked on and off for me multiple times confirming that it is functioning properly at this time. The ejector pump is also vented to an AAV. I informed the customer that this is a code violation and the vent for these pumps should be ran

Customer called to have drain lines and water lines connected to new vanity. TE arrived and inspected setup underneath sink. Advised to replace angle stops and repipe p-trap. Replaced angle stops and installed new p-trap. Tested for leaks. Water pressure is high at 120psi. Customer approved estimate to replace PRV. Customer deferred for today and will schedule for a return visit. Warranty is not applicable to work done until pressure is corrected.

New QO electrical panel with safety breakers, new grounding system, whole home surge protector. We will add the dryer as a courtesy if the customer schedules for next week. He will get battery interconnected smoke detectors and we will help install them.

Customer stated there was a bad smell originating in the master bathroom, upon arrival I found the floor slick with urine overspray, also a roll of paper towels with feces on the end of it, tested the toilet and wax ring, found there was no leaking or sewer gas escaping from the wax seal, checked in the crawl space for leaks and found that the shower drain was leaking and has caused pretty significant water damage to the sub flooring, upon approval, re sealed the shower drain.

Came in today because upstairs system was not cooling. When testing equipment found electrical components outside had failed, also high humidity levels and biological growth spreading through the system compromising air flow. Also found same issues for main floor system. Let costumer know about this issues and presented options, costumer decided to move forward with repairs for upstairs. SERVICE CALL: Upon arrival customer stated the hvac system is not Working properly on cooling mode. After complete troubleshooting I found the heat pump system ICP 2 ton capacity 23 years old r 22 refrigerant type which is already phased out the Doble pole 20 amps braker Was tripped at main breaker panel due to condenser fan motor is generic And was replaced by customer the voltage wire from fan motor direction Was disconnected due to some of the screws are missing from the top Metal panel secured connection and test condenser unit check is overheating the high side pressure due to poor maintenance conditions Test refrigerant pressure are extremely low. Performed courtesy leak search indoor evaporator coil is leaking refrigerant. System already past life expectancy from manufacture DUE TO AGED AND CONDITIONS RECOMMEND TO UPGRADE COMPLETE SYSTEM. CUSTOMER IS AWARE OF THE CONDITIONS OF THE EQUIPMENT. NO T E FLOOD PROTECTION. NOTE. CONDENSER UNIT IS OVERHEATING THE COMPRESSO

Diagnostic for 1 system in the basement. System has air, as well as a restriction in the refrigerant lines. No TE standard flood protection, old condensate pump. Compressors is drawing high amps. Thermostat is constantly calling for heat strips to run. We temporarily removed the W wire corresponding to the heating mode to run cooling. The high voltage wire connections are not up to code. The ground is not properly installed at the condenser. Recommended action: Clear linset, replace evaporator, charge system with new refrigerant, fix low voltage wiring, install new thermostat. Consider getting a free estimate for a new system.

I worked on demoing both kitchen faucets and drains as well as an ice maker line also bathroom pedestal. All lines have been capped off. Our client will follow up with us when the plumbing rough is needed

for this job, I came to look at a system that was not cooling. Once I arrived, I performed a thorough diagnosis and noticed that the outdoor capacitor has failed on the fan side. I proceeded to replace the capacitor and test the unit, properly checking all of the amp readings as well as the pressure and temperature readings. I Then proceeded to go upstairs in the attic to check all electrical components and noticed that everything was working as it should. It is very likely that due to the recent storms and power outages we have had is what caused the capacitor to fail. Thank you for choosing TE certified.

Performed leak search and cut open ceiling in kitchen area above refrigerator. Flushed upstairs toilet multiple times with no issues present upstairs near or around toilet. No leaks were found in the ceiling below the upstairs toilet as well. Subfloor where drain pipe goes up is completely dry and PVC drainage pipe is dry as well. Recommended customer keep the hole open for a couple days and use the bathroom as usual and see if the leak occurs again.

Leaking DCVA at street in front of meter box replaced brand new Dual Check Valve Assembly. Allowed glue connection to dry completely before turning water on at meter to test. Customer aware that they will need dual check tested within 60 days and annually after the test.

Upon arrival, homeowner requested visual leak detection service. After, isolating the water and checking the water meter, there’s no water movement on the water meter. The leak that’s showing in the yard is also nowhere near the vicinity of the water service line to the home.

For this job, we worked on a repairing a non-working light fixture by performing a ballast bypass. We also installed 4- 8,000 lumen floodlights, a switch for the 4 fixtures and removed non-working fixtures and the conduit and wiring supplying the fixtures in the mechanic repair shop.

Call out for backed up toilet on main floor. Ran water and the sink to test for a mainline blockage. After running water, it appears that there is something stuck in the toilet, causing the clog. It appears to be paper and waste. Ran sewer cable throughout toilet to clear the blockage of paper and waste. Did a super cleanup and tested the toilet with multiple flushes with and without paper. Upon arrival customer stated that downstairs ac unit was running all day and not cooling, customer stated unit is original to home. Gas furnace is 12 years old anc and coil is 12 years old. Found that supply air temperature was 74 degrees and return temperature was 77. There is only a 3 degree split between system, checked refrigerant levels and found system is very low on refrigerant and evaporator coil is freezing. Condenser coils are very dirty, compressor is pulling high amps and sound rough due to running low on refrigerant. Contactor is showing signs of pitting at points of contact and outdoor capacitor is testing bad. There is a lot of rush of furnace where water has been leaking from system, unit does not have the proper flood protection on drain line. Blower wheel is dirty blower motor capacitor is testing bad. Advised customer of issues with systems, advised customer due to size of leak within system we would have to perform a refrigerant leak search to find where all the sys
