Full system Zoning
No cool, due to a bad dual capacitor. Condenser fan not working and reading zero on the capacitor side. Replaced capacitor and system works. Compressor has a very high amperage (13.6 out of a 18 amps max) and fan motor overamping at 1.3 (shouldn’t be higher than 1.1 mps, by the label). Head pressure is too high. Amperage at starting point for compressor is at 154 amps nd shouldn’t be higher than 104 amps System is 20 years old , works with r22 Freon and not removing humidity level properly from the house. Also, compressor is very hot at the touch and can stop anytime. Due to the age and conditions of the system, the best option would be to upgrade the system, and bring savings, comfort and efficiency back to the house. Set a lead to quote upgrading for the main level system, for tomorrow morning. We should credit back 320,00 spent today, if customer upgrade the system with us.
Homeowner stated the upstairs unit not cooling well at all. Checked refrigerant levels and airflow which were very low. Delta T at a 3. Refrigerant at a .3 sc and 56 sh. Discussed all options with homeowner which decided to add refrigerant to get it cooling for now. After charging system up it is cooling. Thank you for choosing TE Certified!
Performed diagnostic. System isn’t keeping up. Noticed outdoor unit making a squeaky noise. Capacitor is bad. Fan motor intermittently working. Delta T is bad. Pressures are high at the moment. Restriction in the Lineset. Blower wheel dirty. Contactor pitted. Homeowner decided to be a Homecare member today. Today is the first official visit. Homeowner is going to go over options with their partner.
Homeowner has a shower valve that does not get hot or cold. The shower is of Moen make, and is a 1200 cartridge. The homeowner also has a leaking P-trap for the right hand side sink in the master bathroom. Removed trim from shower valve. Shower valve uses a push/pull style cartridge. Removed cartridge and identified it as a Moen 1200. Moen 1200 is interchangeable with the Moen 1225. Installed new Moen 1225, pressurized system and ran water. Tested both hot and cold to ensure proper temperature and function. Shower is operated as intended. Reinstalled trim for shower. Removed failed P-trap. Found that whenever the pop-up assembly was installed, a standard 1 1/2 tubular gasket was used. Removed P-trap and 1 1/2 gasket. Installed new PVC tubular P-trap and new 1 1/4x1 1/2 gasket. Filled sink basin multiple times to test. Sink is no longer leaking and is functioning properly. Water pressure is 50 PSI Water heater is a 50 gallon natural gas from 2018.
No cool in upstairs system, due to be low on Freon. System is 5 years old only and there is a leak in the evaporator coil. Also, dual capacitor is weak (38 on a 40 microfarad) and outside condenser dirty. Gave estimates to add Freon , or replace evaporator coil. Customer wants to add Freon at this visit only and will call later day to replace evaporator coil. We should deduct 520,00 paid today, if customer replace the evaporator coil with us. System should be cooling the house not for long, due to the leak in the coil. Basement system is cooling and heating properly. Filters must be replaced every 90 days.
The homeowner stated that the thermostat screen is blank. Technician found that the power to the furnace was interrupted because the blower panel wasn’t touching the door switch. Technician made minor adjustments to allow the panel to connect flush to the switch. That was the only problem for today. Technician discuss with homeowner about previous recommendations. The 45/5 dual capacitor for the main level system has been replaced today
The guys spent most of their day here working on the plumbing for the tub and did an amazing job!
Thermostat was off and heat was on for the second floor. I removed the door and checked all wiring and thermostat. The heat did not turn back on by itself own. I could not replicate the heat turning back on. I went over the upstairs equipment, refrigerant pressures, electronic components and flushed drain line. The two systems are going into one drain. I flushed with mighty pump and a full jug of water. Installed new condenser fan motor on the upstairs system and installed n Apco x ultra in the upstairs duct work. The flue vent is up against sub roof.
Today we came out for main and second level not working on main level found shorts contactor on trane 2013. In addition flue piping is not up to code and there is no emergency drain pan under furnace. Heat exchanger in 1999 rheem furnace is compromised and bearings are worn out. Made band aid repair to get system temp cooling. On second level found restriction in evaporator coil and manufacture warranty has expired. There are no flood safeties and compressor has been compromised. Will have project manager give options equipment needs to be updated
Great service
For this job, I worked on troubleshooting circuit that wasn’t working and then once I found issue, I then replaced the bad outlet due to backstabbing outlet, along with replacing outlet in kitchen and bad GFCI on back porch
This option is to troubleshoot the kitchen outlets, troubleshoot, the upstairs fan, install two light fixtures, and install a new security camera floodlight provided by the homeowner. And also change the floodlight on the front left corner, which was builder grade and in rough condition.
Several Outlets in the upstairs break room/open area /back office not working properly Reinstalled (5) upstairs break room devices
The scope of today’s work included following: minor rebuild of two toilets, one upstairs and one downstairs. Each received a new fill valve, flapper and supply line. Installation of a new thermal expansion tank. Tank was secured to the structure per local code. The home was pressurized and all repairs were tested for leaks and proper operation.
Returned to the house for duct work job. Connected 6” duct from the upstairs room straight to supply plenum, to give more airflow to the room. No issue with the system. Home care was done last week. Customer wants to do a duct work job for the main level floor , as well. Sent estimate for this other job.
I came out to move two vanity lights that are not centered over your new sink. I did have to pull a new leg from the switch to the first light because once it was moved that wire was too short. Otherwise, I was able to move both boxes and install the lights over the center of the sinks. I also replaced that switch because it had a crack in it. I did notice a couple of items while I was here that I wanted to bring to your attention. Those outlets in the bathroom are not GFCI protected, which is required by code in a very good idea for safety. It looks like you were doing a lot of remodeling so that may just be something you want to make sure to add in. For your panel, I think this has been brought up to you before, but you do have an older panel and because of that we cannot upgrade it to the new safety breakers. I highly recommend replacing that panel with one of the newer panels which also would be larger and have a lot more room for all the wiring. If you did not want to do that
Moving 2 vanity lights
Pump on condensation pump failed and was unable to remove water. The vinyl tubbing is free of debris or obstruction. This pump is not in a pan and is servicing the upstairs unit.
Performed diagnostic. Outdoor unit was not running. Dual capacitor for the outdoor unit was completely dead. Recommended a new capacitor to homeowner and they approved. System is now running. Outdoor coil is dirty as well as the blower wheel and the ducts. Pressures are good at this time and delta T is within range. There is a dirty filter. Offered Homecare and homeowner declined. Collected pay and signatures. System is working at departure.
On time work done well
We appreciate TE getting us in for a quick appointment and addressing the issue. Appreciated him taking time to address our concerns and offer suggestions!
Customer called us out for a clog in their mainline sink. On arrival I examined the issue and determined that grease was the most likely cause. I recommended multiple options and the customer chose to jet the line and get a bottle of Endure for drain maintenance. I prepared the area then ran the jetter down the line successfully clearing the blockage. I tested the sink and cleaned up throughly. I then treated the sink with Endure.
Upon arrival, we met with the owner. The toilet in the main level half bath recently clogged. Nothing else has been affected. We tested, confirmed and were able to auger and clear the toilet. We were also shown the kids tub upstairs. The stopper was set too low and would not properly lock in or out. The owner had a new stopper, as a courtesy I set it in the tub shoe. Perform draining clearing on toilet. Drain clear only. Does not include repairs or main line clearing. No warranty on drain clearing.
Upon arrival spoke with customer about replacing a faucet in his master bathroom that he purchased a faucet for. Removed existing faucet and pop up assembly. Installed new faucet and pop up assembly. Installed new supply lines. Tested faucet and drain throughly for leaks/functionality.
For this job I came to see why pump can was not working to its capacity. After opening the lid and seeing the bottom of pump pit I noticed a lot of debris at the bottom up to the pump. Customer went with cleaning out the can. I removed all debris, tested pump and it is not working more efficiently. Left work area clean.
The scope of work included the following: the kitchen sink drain was pitched backwards so it was repiped with proper pitch to allow better draining of the sink, installing a new washing machine box with hammer arrestors, installing client supplied lavatory faucet, installing a new tub spout closer to the tile, installing a client supplied shower head, installing a new single handle shower cartridge and anchoring a shower valve inside the wall to prevent the valve, escutcheon and handle from pulling away from the wall when the shower is turned on. As a courtesy I corrected the wiring on the garbage disposal so that they were not exposed. All systems that were worked on or fixed were tested for proper operation with no issues.
Install new ceiling fan in bedroom
On today’s visit, Dave called us out here to take a look at the tankless green water heater that did throw error 12 code. Error code 12 states that there is a flame ignition failure whether that’s due to gas flow going into the water heater or the flame rods are not working properly to ignite the flame. Gas flow looked to be fine and was not seeing any error codes popping up besides P one. I did recommend that the testing to do is go ahead and clean the flame rods inside of the water heater. Do not recommend flushing the water heater for its 14 years old and could do more harm than good. I did bring up about replacing the water heater sometime in the near future. For now, it is working fine and have cleaned the flame rods inside of the water heater. Estimates are good for 60 days at providing to Dave. However, anytime out of that 68 day mark would need to revise the estimates.
Ryan knew exactly how to fix our circuit problem. We are back up and running.

Excellent service, very professional, and thorough!
Mike was able to pinpoint a small-ish repair that probably saved us tens of thousands in water damage. The HVAC condensate drain failure switch had failed. He replaced it. If the drain had overflowed, without a fail safe switch it could have been a huge mess. Better safe than very, very sorry. Thanks, Mike.
Aiden was friendly, professional and thorough. The price was competitive. I would definitely use TE Certified if needed in the future and I would definitely recommend them to my neighbors and friends!
