Today I came out due to upstairs system not working. System is a 2024 Daikin Air Handler located in attic servicing upstairs level. Upon arrival system was off at thermostat. I turned system to cool and called for demand. Indoor unit came on, but outdoor unit did not. Opened it up and saw 3 flashing dots and the code was a short cycle lockout. This was due to a stick being wedged between fan blade and rubber guard. This was not allowing fan to operate, causing compressor to over heat and lock itself out to prevent any more problems. I removed stick and after a short delay, system kicked on and is cooling. I found the condenser coils to be impacted with dirt and debris. Contactor is heavily pitted and compressor has high start up amp draws. It’s rated for 88amps, but it’s actually using 101.6 amps. This means the compressor is over amping itself each time system comes on. Drain line is improperly slopped and has a couple bellies throughout. After going over all findings and options, cus

Check supply temperatures. Checked outdoor unit. Checked amperage and pressures. All systems operating at this time. No condensation.

Perfomed repairs. Installed 2 new contactors. Installed flood protection. I installed 2 new blower motor capacitors. I installed new damper and damper motor. I also replaced a large section of the upstairs drain line. I tried flushing out the upstairs drain line but its clogged. The office will reach out to get them on the schedule to get a plumber out to run to the drain line for the upstairs to tie it into the washer drain line. I tested the water saftey switches before I left. Both AC systems were operating at the end of service call.

A comprehensive inspection of the electrical grounding system was performed to evaluate the safety and integrity of the existing grounding and bonding components. The inspection included a thorough investigation of the electrical service grounding electrode system, grounding electrode conductors, bonding connections, and metallic piping systems. During the inspection, it was determined that no grounding rods have been driven into the earth to serve as grounding electrodes. It was also found that the water heater pressure relief valve is not bonded, and the hot and cold water piping systems are not bonded together. These deficiencies result in an inadequate grounding and bonding system that does not provide a continuous and effective path for fault current, creating potential electrical safety hazards. Recommendations include: the installation of properly sized and installed grounding rods in accordance with applicable electrical codes, bonding of the water heater pressure relief va
Upon arrival we met with the homeowner. Complaints of a sewage ejector pump malfunction. We vacuumed out the standing water in order to see and assess the actual problem. After inspection and removal of the pump from the basin we saw a wad of paper holding down the float trigger. We removed the debris, reinstalled the pump, tested to ensure proper function and flushed out pump system with clean water. Work area was cleaned. Remove existing sewage ejection pump, clean pit, inspect impeller, reset pump, test for proper operation and clean-up. Does not include new pump, piping or ball/check valve.

Replaced 45/5 MFD capacitor and 1-pole contactor. Pressure levels were normal. Condenser coils are dirty. Noticed that furnace has significant rust buildup. Inducer motor is rusted. Flue venting is wrong application for 90% furnace. No water protection present. No gas sediment trap present. Blower wheel is dirty. Run capacitor is bad. Informed customer of all findings. Furnace for the whole house
Stephen showed up on time and was very polite and knowledgeable. He came to fix a leak in our shower but he also fixed our ice maker line that, 40 years ago had been connected to our hot water! Had no idea til I saw this. He answered all my questions I had about some other concerns which I really appreciated!! Super nice guy! Did an excellent job! I feel better now knowing hot water isn’t going to refrigerator anymore.

For this call, homeowner had us out to install a new shut off for the home. We also saw an old PRV to which we would include in our pricing to have both replaced. They are currently dealing with a slab leak and we’re gonna have leak detection come out and see if it’s on a line in the home or from the water meter to the main shut for the home. We tested the water meter and it was still spinning when we had the new ball valve shut off to the home indicating it was a leak in the main service line and is under the home. After completing our work we tested and made sure there were no leaks. We left a quote for doing a new service line to the home and homeowners will get back to us so we can try and get their water on either by the end of this week or the beginning of next week at the earliest. Thank you for trusting TE Certified with all your plumbing needs.
I installed new stems for upstairs three handle tub and shower combination, moved the icemaker supply line from a hot water supply connection to a cold and added a stop valve and I installed a 1/2” ball valve for the rear hose bib. The system was pressurized, air was removed from the line and everything was checked for leaks and proper operation.
Kyle did a great job and very courteous.

Upon arrival, met with customer and spoke with him regarding their issue. Customer showed me inside and to the main level master bathroom. Customer states that one of the lavatory sinks is clogged and draining slowly. I confirmed this issue and checked other fixtures in the bathroom as well. All other fixtures are draining properly. Customer states the other fixtures in the home are working correctly at this time. Presented customer with options to clear the sink drain and after getting signature approval I began work. Disconnected tubular drains underneath sink and cleaned them thoroughly. Removed stopper for sink and removed large hair clog and cleaned the pop up assembly. Reconnected everything and ran water while checking for leaks. No leaks. Sink is now draining correctly. Cleaned work area. Customer is satisfied.
Replaced condenser PCB board, cleaned blower compartment and evaporator coil and tested system in cooling mode. Due to two of the thermostats still being conventional and not the communicating Daikin touch thermostats, the system will not operate as efficiently as it’s designed to. It will only run in one stage operation as it was bypassed to function in manual mode at the zone board. Once the Daikin touch thermostats are reinstalled, and the system has had time to remove all the heat built up from being off so long during renovations, if the system isn’t cooling adequately contact us to return and test the system parameters again to get a more accurate reading.
Customer wanted quote to replace plenum, and all duct board trunk lines. Beyond scope of work for service technician so a project manager was scheduled for tomorrow between 12-3. Performed visual inspection on equipment finding system lacked a wet switch and the flue pipe which tied together with water heater was broken leaking exhaust fumes into basement. Quoted replacing flue pipe for water heater and furnace to the broken pipe section. Customer agreed to have flue pipe replaced. Performed repair. Customer declined further inspection of hvac equipment and is getting a quote for replacing duct board trunk lines tomorrow. Also spoke about possibly getting a mini split for basement and possible equipment quote as well.
