Today’s visit was to check 2 mini splits. When I arrived the customer said one indoor unit had a smell. And also another indoor unit was leaking water. I inspected the unit leaking water and found it had a bad condensate pump. I checked the other indoor unit with the smell and found the indoor coil and blower wheel needs to be cleaned. I gave estimate for the repair. Customer approved the repair. Went and picked up supplies for the job and returned to perform the work. Replaced the condensate pump and tested operation. It is operating properly. Removed the blower wheel from the other unit and cleaned. Also cleaned the wall mount housing. Cleaned the evaporator coil. Reassembled the system and tested operation. Cleaned all permanent filters. Checked cooling operation. I found the the multi head system low on refrigerant. I added 1lb of R410A. These systems are the old Mitsubishi Mr slims that are no longer made. I informed the customer the best option would be to replace them as parts a

Completed system evaluation upstairs Found a bad blower motor with a bad furnace control board System supply Plenum is too small for the unit in evaporator coil System is missing 200 CFM on the supplied and missing 300 CFM in the return, supply Plenum and ductwork would need to be added to compensate for the missing CFM. The missing CFM is putting stress on the blower motor and compressor due to the lack of airflow.

Installed a thermal expansion tank onto the water heater that is located in the garage. Ignited the water heater. The water heater is now functioning properly.

Today’s visit was for system not cooling. When I arrived the customer said the outside unit wouldn’t come on. I found the system to be a single stage zoned heat pump with undersized return ductwork. I also found biological growth present inside the air handler. Also no flood protection present. I notified customer of my findings. I checked the outdoor unit. I found the compressor is grounded. Also the refrigerant has a bad odor as well. I gave the customer repair options. But I highly recommend upgrading the system to the proper equipment for the application.

for this job, I came to look at the system that was not cooling efficiently. Once I arrived, i proceeded to perform a thorough diagnosis and noticed that the system was low and refrigerant as well as other repairs needed. I explained all my findings to the customer as well as provided estimates. I explained that due to the age of and the cost of repairs I would highly recommend that they consider looking into getting a new system. The customer agreed and will be having somebody coming over tomorrow morning.

Troubleshoot

Install ceiling fan in place of existing ceiling fan

Arrived found thermostat, not receiving power. Checked air handler found panels already removed. no auxiliary drain pan and no wet switch. Have 240 V going to system no 240 V going across heat strips breaker. Dirty blower wheel and evaporator coil. Plenum and ductwork in poor condition. Failing dual capacitor. Need to replace heat strip kit with breaker to further diagnose. Could be additional repairs once he stripped breaker is installed.

Installing 2) 20 amp circuits to detached shed

New circuits in the barn.

Ran wire for bathroom bidet and tied to bathroom outlets circuit.

Light bulbs were replaced in kitchen and living room lights.

Customer has 12 y/o Goodman heat pump system that operates for upper level. System was not cooling due to failed dual capacitor. Also, pressure levels are low indicating refrigerant loss. Condenser coils are very dirty. Drain line cleaning needed. Blower wheel is dirty. No water protection present. Plenums are not properly insulated. Informed customer of all findings. Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system.

Trouble shoot circuit

Today we replaced the master bathroom toilet with a new Kohler Highline Arc toilet. The original plan included replacing the toilet flange; however, after removing the existing toilet and inspecting the flange, we found it to be in good condition and replacement was not necessary. We also replaced the toilet supply stop and reinstalled the customer’s bidet seat. After installation, all connections were thoroughly tested for leaks and verified to be functioning properly. The toilet is operating as intended with no leaks at this time.

Performed a spot repair on main water service line. Turned off main inside house. And at water meter, seen were leak detection flagged leak site. Dug down about 2 1/2’, 3’ deep. To reach water main. Upon discovering was the blue poly from 2000’s original to home. Recommended to replace water main. Also stated to homeowner the connections at the blue pipe will not be warranted due to the nature of pipe and the age of the pipe. Found leak area pipe was setting on a rock and it finally cut through after the years of vibrations the pipe was making with running water through it. Cut out damaged sections of pipe, installed new pipe pressurizes line, turned water onto house, purged air out of all fixtures, backfilled hole and pack in pipe and dirt removed as many rocks as I was able to, covered flowerbed with black mulch and cleaned up, no leaks

Came out and performed minor kitchen sink drain rebuild. Pitch has been corrected and all connections are secured at this time. Tested for leaks as well and found no indication of leaking.

With this job, I conducted lead detection as a TGL for Arland Matic out of Eastside shop. During my investigation, I did introduce compressed air regulated to 50 psi onto the plumbing system via the rear hose bib on the home. Not long after airing up the main service did I discover the source of the leak inside the flower bed approximately 10 feet off the front of the home just to the right of the doorway Inside the flower bed/just inside of the border of the flower bed/area has been marked with flags.
