05/11 Came in today to perform a 2 system inspection. Change filter, tested all electrical components, flushed drain line, tested thermostat, Tested both system on cool and heat, checked pressures and refrigerant. Units are running, however main floor system evaporator coil is completely corroded due to biological growth and humidity, causing evaporator coil to crack and refrigerant to leak. Also electrical component in outdoor system had failed due to age of the system. Let costumer know about this issues and presented options, including a system replacement considering the years of the unit. Costumer decided to move forward with repairs only at this time. Will come back tomorrow morning at 9am to perform repairs quoted Thank you for choosing TE Certified, 05/12 Came back to complete work quoted. Work was done and tested, system is now working properly.

Came in for a no cooling call. When testing system found that electrical components outside had failed. system had not been maintained properly causing biological growth to start showing in evaporator coil and causing a lot of corrosion which leads to the evaporator to crack and cause refrigerant leaks. Even when jumping system and running cooling the unit air flow is so compromise that will not reach the recommended refrigerant degrees causing system to overwork and damaging compressor. Let costumer know about this issues and presented options. Costumer will revisit options with family and let us know when is the right time to proceed with repairs. RETURN VISIT TO COMPLETE REPAIRS : Replace and install new oem Warranty evaporator coil 4 ton capacity under manufacture warranty but not labor refrigerant and miscellaneous plus clean variable speed blower motor and housing recharge complete system pressurized with nitrogen And performed courtesy electronic leak search and I found the old Evaporator coil was leaking refrigerant I explained to the customer the Conditions of the equipment and he approved warranty repairs. After final Inspection test heat and cooling mode system is working ok at this moment. By apex distributor the equipment warranty will expired this coming August of 2026. Customer has 10 y/o 2-zone Carrier system that operates for whole house. Furnace located in attic. Single-stage equipment is not correct for zoning. System is not cooling due to refrigerant loss. Recommend nitrogen leak search, which was declined. Unable to identify where leak originated. Compressor is overheated. Condenser fan motor is overheated. Dual capacitor is bad. Condenser coils are bad. Disconnect was left in OFF position by previous company. Water protection is poor. Informed customer of all findings. Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system.

For this job, I worked on adding an outlet in the garage where there was no access through the basement since it was an exterior wall. Homeowner did not want PVC conduit so he gave me permission to cut a channel in the sheet rock to run my wires to get to desired point. Check voltage and connections upon completing outlet is working properly and is GFCI and AFCI protected at the breaker. Had to install another ground rod due to outdoor work homeowner got done. one ground rod to be removed for future generator pad. Disconnect the ground wire and had to reroute it.

Not one who does a lot of reviews, I’m extremely impressed with the HVAC Technician Jason Braunstein, and the company that he works for, TE CERTIFIED! A review is warranted. I’ve been a long time customer of one of TE Certified competitors for years, but after today, that loyalty may have come to an end. Needing my winter checkup on my Lennox gas furnace but not yet hearing from so mentioned competitor, as I normally do. I decided to call them and see if they could come out for a service call, the date is 12/23/25 but they didn’t have an available appointment for service until 01/15/26! That was unacceptable! I had many HVAC companies to choose from but remembering a jingle from the radio “TE CERTIFIED WE LOVE YOUR HOME” and checking the company’s reviews, all very good. I decided on them and made the call, and I’m sure glad that I did! The receptionist was very courteous and very helpful, and scheduled me an appointment that very same day! The Technician, Jason Braunstein arrived as scheduled and provided excellent service. He was very nice, polite, and very knowledgeable of my Lennox gas furnace. He inspected the furnace thoroughly! He adjusted the heating system to give our home the proper warm air temperature that matched the thermostat reading. He gave me a complete breakdown and inspection evaluation of my system, along with pictures, sent to my email very soon after he left. I was very impressed with TE CERTIFIED and must say that based upon the expertise of their employees and how “They Loved My Home” 🙂 I will be calling them again! And, I hope to have Jason back as my homes personal technician. Thank you Jason, and thank you TE CERTIFIED for providing what you say you will do on your radio adds, love our homes! Kind of disappointed in the leak detection. I know it was a small leak and hard to find but, I had to pay y’all then get another company to find it . Your employee was great, but having to pay twice was not great.

After discovering our plumbing problem was a little more involved, Mr Mays had to come out to replace some of the drain from our laundry room. The plumbing is in our crawl space (unfortunately) but Mr Mays did the install as if it were inside the kitchen. He took pictures and sent me the work...which was perfect.
