Job Locations and Reviews
Customer stated no heat and weird noise. Upon inspection found dirty evap and condenser. Also notice no filter. System has weak airflow. Heat strip pulling 40 amps. Duct work is run all over the place with a lot of it being pinched and a lot of Ys which can cause weak airflow. Found a bad outdoor capacitor. Put one on to further test system and found system not circulating pressures properly. Based off pressures customer has a clogged piston or stuck piston. Would need to recover all refrigerant, replace filter dryer, clean piston, and recharge system. Created quotes to of all repairs done. Presented to customer. Highly recommended customer replace system due to cost of repair and older 410 refrigerant. Customer decided to have install supervisor out to receive a new system quote.
Installed a customer-supplied Tesla Wall Connector in the garage adjacent to the electrical panel. Performed a detailed load calculation on the dwelling to verify the electrical system could safely support the continuous load of the charger. Completed the installation in accordance with Tesla and NEC requirements, then commissioned the charger through the Tesla One app and submitted warranty documentation to Tesla. Verified proper operation by testing with the customer’s vehicle; charging performance confirmed at the expected rate.
As we arrived today, Robert said he had a funny sound coming out of his electrical panel. After we removed the panel cover, we heard the sound on multiple occasions. We finally traced it down to the two AFCI breakers in the bottom right corner of the panel. I tried to manually trip both of them. One of them would trip after a few seconds the other one would not trip at all. When it did, it was making the sound that was pretty close to what we heard to begin with. Both breakers are defective and need to be replaced. We removed both our fault breakers and replaced them with new dual function Siemens breakers. Restored power and both breakers worked properly and tripped properly. Also talked to Robert about installing a whole panel surge protector. I’m leaving an attached quote for that as well. It was great meeting you today, Robert! If you have any questions about the estimate or need anything else, please feel free to give me a call anytime. Thank you, Brandon
For this job, I replaced an old ceiling fan with a new customer supplied ceiling fan. Took the old one down, assembled new one out of the box and installed in the ceiling. Also installed remote for fan to the wall with wall mount kit.
Troubleshoot for smoking/flickering lights in kitchen.
For this job, we replaced two existing flood lights and added a box in the soffit for said flood lights we also replaced a faulty timer and swapped another timer for a 240 V for the pool pump
Today we arrived we found two service wires that were cut in the ground by a trencher. It was the ground and neutral wires. The ground wire was totally broken, and the neutral wire was nicked pretty bad where you could see the wire through the insulation. We fixed both of the wires with underground heat shrink lug kits. While we were here, we also found a major problem in the outside electrical panel, which is attached to the meter base basically serving as a disconnect for both the house and the backyard building. The service wire is coming out of the meter base going into the weather rated electrical panel was only good for 100 A. You have a 100 amp breaker feeding power inside the house and also another hundred amp breaker feeding power to the building in the backyard. I’m leaving an estimate attached to the invoice for upgrading the service to a 200 amp. If you have any questions about the estimates please feel free to give me a call anytime. It was great meeting all of you today!
Quoted work
For today’s job I did a home care inspection. I also installed an outlet in the upstairs bedroom closet from an existing circuit in the attic.
Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system. Gas company came out and shut off the valve to the system. Found flame sensor to be dirty. Zone dampers do not close when thermostat satisfies. Lots of bacterial growth in system. Heat exchanger is rusted out. Inducer is over anmoing. Gas connections are very old and corroded. Outdoor coil is very dirty. Do not recommend repairs due to cost and warranty purposes.
Performed diagnostic on upstairs 23yr old Lennox unit, upon arrival customer stated unit wasn’t working , stated last night unit was making loud banging noise and also had a electrical smell, checked tstst, cycled to heat mode, out door unit started up, upon checking pressures found unit low, recommend leak search, customer stated his ac unit went out during the summer and he added refrigerant, system ran for 4days and stopped cooling again, explained with a heat pump, if ac is not working heat mode is not gonna work, switched tstst over to emergency heat to get gas to run, upon inducer starting up making loud banging noise, inspected inducer, failed barring , gave option to replace inducer, customer declined, blower wheel impacted, recommend pulling and cleaning, recommend TE Flood protection such as wet switch, to prevent ceiling damage, went over options with customer, highly recommended install supervisor due to age and condition of system, customer schedule for November 6 as close
Came out today to perform a two system HVAC service call for for no heat. Upon inspection of the upstairs system found that the furnace is from 2006 Rheem, coil that is a carrier, and outdoor system is a Amana from 2018. Upon inspection of the system, customer stated that he had recently just had both thermostats replaced. I found both thermostats properly wired up and set up in the settings proper. This thermostat was turning on the system and cool, but the blower motor would not run, upon further inspection, the system was not sending any signal to turn the system on on heat, upon testing them system found that the indoor blower wheel is dirty, there is no TE standard flood protection, the indoor capacitor for the system was OK. Due to no airflow could not properly diagnose any refrigerant charge. Also inspected the downstairs system, which is a Rheem gas furnace from 2006 with AC and coil from 2007. This system is a R 22 system and R 22 is obsolete. Upon further inspection of this
Installed new gfci breaker and redid taps for lv wire to transformer
Arrived and found water damage to ceiling in foyer by the front door. Issue is coming from the upstairs master bathroom tub spout, which is spraying water back inside the wall when tub is diverted to the shower. Tub spout is worn out and needs replaced. Replaced tub spout and caulked around. Tested and inspected, no other leaks. Customer has a $100 discount due to moving the appointment. Referred mitigation for water damages.
Client has us out today because the master stand up shower leaks when someone uses it. He had a plumber out who opened the ceiling where the water was leaking down through but did not make any repairs. The client noticed a crack in the shower pan but used a repair kit to fix the crack. When we tested the shower we could not get it to leak however when we simulated someone taking a shower you can see the flex in the shower pan around the drain. Found that the top side shower drain is just hand tight. Quoted the client and today we just went with replacing the shower drain and p trap. Water is back on with no leaks.
Responded to a service call to troubleshoot multiple electrical issues, including a non-functional ceiling fan light, three inoperative outlets, two GFCI outlets that were no longer tripping, and a faulty light switch in the master bedroom closet. Upon thorough diagnostics, determined that several devices had failed due to poor backstab wiring practices and age (original to the home). Replaced three technician-supplied outlets and plates, two customer-supplied GFCI outlets, and two customer-supplied switches. Provided a discount to account for customer-provided materials. All systems were tested and verified to be in proper working order.
Install new 60 amp from upstairs panel to garage Install hardwired car charger in garage
For this job I did a troubleshoot for light in kitchen not working. Replaced a bad switch to said light and did a led retro bypass on the same light.
Replace switch
Neighbor of the home owner called me out for a clogged toilet. Upon inspection I tested for a mainline blockage and found no evidence of one. Used the toilet auger to pull back a wipe that was lodged in the toilet. Flushed fine with and without toilet paper. Home owner is receiving end of life care. Gave the neighbor the cheapest price I could. The neighbor was satisfied with my findings and results. The toilet is operational and works as it should. Did the hallway bath toilet as a courtesy to the home owner.
Troubleshoot outlets and light in the upstairs hallway, bedroom and upstairs sitting area. Found loose wire on outlet in bedroom. Rewired outlet and recommended to do the re-device the entire home to reduce potential hazards and inconveniences.
Came out for water heater flush. Flushed water heater tested everything seems to be working properly.
Troubleshoot outlets
Troubleshooting Existing Dinning Room Chandelier - Garage Floodlight-Circuit Breaker Reinstalled (1) dinning room chandelier Provide (1) Candlelbra Bulb for the dinning room chandelier
Came out for no cool call on upstairs unit. Customer let us know nest tstat going out and says it reads “no RC power”. Upon checking unit could not find any cause for tstat to go out. Verified tstat wires tightly connected. Verified float switch not activated and no water in pan. Could be tstat itself giving intermittent issues however the whole time we were here troubleshooting, tstat did not go out and did call for cooling properly. Upon checking all equipment for upstairs unit found they have original 2008 R22 Lennox 3.5ton air handler and newly Installed 2024 4ton Goodman heat pump. Checked system pressures and appears to be low. Took a look at indoor coil was already showing signs of freezing up. Recommend TE flood protection to avoid possible water damage to ceilings. Main recommendation is to have install supervisor come out to give quote for replacing R22 air handlers due to age and obsolete refrigerant. Educated customer on refrigerants and how R22 has been obsolete since 2020
Professional, hospitable service. I was informed about the project before and after it was completed. They cleaned up and put everything back in its place . Would definitely hire again. Thank you
