New grounding system, new kitchen, outlets, and plates, separated the kitchen circuits, and added arc fall and ground fall protection, added a surge protector, and reduced two oversized breakers.

Completed a redevice of the kitchen counter outlets, separated the two kitchen circuits that were originally sharing a 20 amp breaker with two dual function breakers. Replaced two oversized 60 amp breakers with the appropriate 30 amp breaker sizes. Installed a new grounding system with two ground rods, a new ground bridge, jumped the PRV, the water heater, and the water filter. Installed a surge protector with a flush mount kit.

Inspected x2 comfortmaker furnaces located in attic which services upstairs and main floor. Inspected thermostats. Inspected electrical terminals and wiring. Inspected amperage on all motors. Inspected ductwork for proper sizing and damages. Inspected coil and filter cleanliness. Inspected operating refrigerant pressures/levels. Customer says a surge due to a lightning strike hit home. Found faulty smart gas valves and combustion motors on both furnaces. Circuit boards are not operating on heating side. Blower motors are over amping needing to be replaced. On AC’s found compressors and condenser fan motors over amping. Compressors and fan motors need to be replaced. Starting components need to be replaced from being out of manufacture tolerance. Due to equipment being over 20 years old parts may no longer be manufactured. Recommended systems be upgraded to new equipment. System are operating but not to manufacture specifications. Cleared blockage in kitchen sink with flexshaft. Found evidence of grease in the line, drain is flowing as of now. Suggested hydrojetting but customer did not wish to proceed at this time.

Outlets not working in the garage

Arrived spoke with customer. System not cooling. Checked indoor unit. Checked all electrical and amperage. Run capacitor, good. Dirty blower wheel. No bypass damper for zone system. Short CFM on return and supply. Checked outdoor unit. Capacitor is good. Cycle system on. Compressor not turning on. Installed hard start. Compressor will turn on for about 10 seconds then shut off on OL. Failed the compressor. Dirty condenser coil. Recommend system replacement. If customer goes with repair option or system replacement will credit $98 towards repairs.

For this job, I came to look at a system that was not cooling. After performing a thorough diagnosis I was able to determine that there’s a restriction in the system and it’s in the evaporator coil. Before I determined this, I proceeded to check pressure readings seeing that the subcool was in a mid to normal range, but the superheat was extremely high. Then proceeded to check the airflow, verifying that all the dampers were open and nothing was restricting or blocking the coil. I proceeded to provide an estimate to replace the coil as well as the correct charge of brand new refrigerant. Thank you for choosing TE certified.

Inspect/Troubleshooting Bathroom Floors

Customer says inspector failed temp drop for upstairs equipment. Inspected Goodman AC and found system slightly low on charge. Adjusted airflow and expansion valve. Adjusted charge. Temp drop needs to be checked at equipment for proper temp drop. Tech got a 16 degree split. System is cooling at the time.

I replaced a 60 amp Eaton breaker for a Siemens brand , installed 2 panel blanks in the panel, and I performed a troubleshoot on the two outlets reading hot neutral reverse in the bonus room.

SERVICE CALL: upon arrival homeowner stated the second floor hvac system is not working properly on cooling mode. For this job, I conducted a leak detection service for homeowner, during my investigation. I introduced compressed air onto the service in order to help locate the leak using my sonar probe. I discovered multiple leaks on the service, and that the service is made of blue poly and only buried about 6 inches under grade.

Identified leak I’m 23 year old r22 A/C coil. The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today.
