With this job, I came to perform a furnace inspection for the customers main floor system. I proceeded to measure all the electrical components as well as inspect the burners and the heat exchanger. I tested the unit in heat and checked its functions . While inspecting the ductwork, the first thing I noticed was that the system was short on return. This may cause the unit to not properly heat nor cool. The main thing I noticed within the furnace is that not only is it 24 years old, but the heat exchanger is completely compromised and has a small crack. I showed the pictures in my findings to the customer and stressed on how important it is to get that furnace replaced. He agreed to have an install supervisor come out next Monday to provide a free estimate for not only a furnace, but as well as ductwork modifications. I told the customer that if he purchases a new furnace through us, the 109 he spent on the inspection will be credited to the new system.

For this job we replace GFCI outlets and regular outlets in the kitchen, we also added GFCI protection at the panel for the dishwasher. We installed a Nema 14-50 outlet for car charger. On a GFCI 50 amp GFCI breaker

Minor toilet repair, replaced fillvalve, investigated leak on toilet in private en-suite, put paper down to see if leak come back flushed 10 times, and left paper until after house assessment was finished. Came back look at paper no leaks present. Offered to do a pull-reset to reseal and be able to look at flange. Home owner declined at this time. Also, added a new braided supply line as a courtesy, drained fixture, installed fillvalve and supply line, filled up tank, tested fixture multiple times, no leaks.

Replaced pressure regulator. Set pressure to 65 psi. Verified with the homeowner that the pressure and volume were adequate. Tested without leaks o leaks or failures at time of service

Provided home care visit today. Changed air filters and treated drain lines mighty pump drain lines. Added wet switch to main floor system. Running and cooling well at this time with no issues.

Perform upstairs service call. Thermostat was going blank intermittently, secure the door switch with electrical tape. Drain pen has signs of rust with a 20-year-old float switch. The float switch may be faulty intermittently cutting the signal to the thermostat. Thermostat does not use batteries or has a common wire connected. There is a common wire connected at the furnace control board, but not at the thermostat. Informed homeowner this is a very uncommon unconventional set up. Inform the homeowner he does not have adequate flood protection. Homeowner says he is getting the system replaced in the next couple of days. He just wants the thermostat to work at the moment. Provided quotes for thermostat, capacitor, etc..

Troubleshoot fee Customer was experiencing a dishwasher not draining. Upon arrival I tested for possible blockage in the sink, after running water in the sink for a long period of time I did not see any backups present. I changed the dishwasher drain line to the garbage disposal. After we attempted to run the dishwasher but it was not functioning properly. Customer will have the appliance inspected.

Performed routine maintenance inspection on 20 y/o Amana system that operates for whole house. Furnace located in attic. System has failed compressor preventing system from cooling properly. Condenser coils are damaged. Condenser fan motor has overheated. Contactor is pitted. Evaporator coil is rusted. Blower wheel is dirty. Ignitor is bad. Inducer motor has overheated. Informed customer of all findings. Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system.

Replaced customer supplied toilet. Installed new supply line

Finished remaining work from last Friday. Smoke detectors were added, panel was labeled, mini split circuit was added and put into a 1900 since there was no unit on site. Troubleshot tripped breaker and got everything working again. All lights and outlets are working properly

Replaced panel and added two new circuits for the water heater and a mini split. Water heater was wired and returning on Monday to label and install smoke detectors. A split job was left with the balance of $2000.

On this visit I… Ran a new wire from the outlet to the left side of living room and ran conduit to chimney installed new outlet and box above mantle and Mounted television. I updated breaker to a safety breaker.
