Tech was out for inspection. When looking at the system tech seen the following. Air handler door is opened up , air handler door laying on the floor. Some Low voltage wiring not hooked up, 3 amp fuse is blown , transformer has failed. No voltage flowing through transformer to power up system. Blower wheel is needing to be cleaned. Drain line is needing to be cleared. No flood protection on the evaporator coil. Outdoor condenser is needing to be chemically cleaned. Unable to verify pressures due to system not operating. Option 1 is to get system up and running to all other components. Option 2 is what needs to be done that tech was able to see while here. Once system is up and running tech would be able to dive in deeper and checked all other components. Spoke with customer about Issues with system.

Only System - Not Cooling System not cooling due to multiple issues related to the equipments age. This is a 22 year old Lennox AC and coil paired with a builder grade Goodman furnace. The system is almost completely out of Freon (R-22). The evaporator coil is completely rusted out and leaking refrigerant in multiple places. There are also a few corroded areas on the condenser coil that are potentially leaking as well, but with very little pressure in the system is hard to determine outside. The coil has frozen up and has been thawing out, the water from the melting ice is leaking down through the furnace where it’s coming out of the heat exchanger, inducer motor assembly, and the blower assembly. I also observed that the compressor is over amping, the condenser fan motor has leaked out its oil, there are rusted areas inside the furnace, these area may be rusted due to the system freezing and thawing out in the past. R-22 refrigerant is no longer available and nor are refrigerant rel

For this job, I installed (3) new bath fans, one for every bathroom for the house, (3) new light fixtures in the master bathroom which consisted of (2) new vanity sconces and (1) new ceiling fixture, all of which are operated by (3) new TE-provided White Decora switches. Every bathroom fan has appropriate ducting and safe wire conditions. However, The (2) master bathroom vanity sconces did not have junction boxes behind them leaving me to install new junction boxes for proper fixture support and wire protection as a courtesy. All fans, lights and switches have been tested for functionality and operation. Pictures of master bathroom with old paint and holes will be covered by the customer’s painter. For this job I arrived to a leaking duct. Went up in the attic and found the duct that feeds the bonus room is detached at the Wye fitting. The wye fitting was not properly secured, which caused the duct to come loose. Reattached the duct onto the wye fitting, strapped up the wye fitting properly so it doesn’t come apart again. Did not test the system as the homeowner only wanted me to fix the duct as they sold the home and are moving out today. Thank you for choosing TE Certified. For this job I worked on replacing a breaker and a gfci on back side of the home, the gfi was going bad and tripping the breaker so to warranty everything we replaced both

Replaced GFCI on back exterior of the home. The previous GFCI had stopped working and was showing 30 volts coming out of it with proper voltage going in.

Today we came out because during a storm, a tree branch had fell on the service line. That caused the mast to completely detached from the exterior wall. Georgia power came out and disconnected the homeowner’s service line. Today I replaced the mast, service wire, Weatherhead, and eyebolt

Homeowner called us out to investigate water running from exterior pipe. It turned out to be the pressure relief line from the expansion device underneath the kitchen sink. The pressure was over 80psi. I cut, capped and removed the device due to its redundancy. I also replaced the expansion tank, PRV, main shutoff and hose bib shutoff. The pressure was set to 65psi. All work was tested and checked for leaks.

Troubleshoot of items going in and out in the unit.

For this job conducted leak detection services for homeowner. During my investigation, I introduced compressed air under the plumbing system via the hose bib on the right side of the home, once the plumbing system was fully compressed and regulated to a 55 psi. I listened from the meter along the water service toward the home and discovered the leak on the water service roughly 4 feet off the front of the meter. Area has been marked with blue flag.

Replaced condenser coil and tested system for proper operation at this time.

Replace gas union in crawlspace that is Leaking

Only System - Not cooling Builder grade Lennox equipment that is zoned and served both the main level and upper level. This system is single-stage, builder-grade equipment and is not designed to support a zoned application. Installing zoning on this type of system can lead to improper operation, increased wear, and premature equipment failure. Zoning systems are best suited for equipment with fully variable-speed or modulating capabilities, which can adjust output to match the varying demands of multiple zones. Today the system was not cooling due to the compressor was not starting up. The fan would come on and the compressor would try to come on. The capacitor was slightly low but not dead. Homeowner approved to put a fresh capacitor on and add a start assist kit to the compressor to see if that would bring it on. After installing both the compressor cycled on and is cooling the home. This is a temporary solution as this compressor is on its way out. Also this system has a Lennox C-3

Today I came out to change filter and inspect system. System is pieced together with a 2022 Goodman furnace, 2011 ADP evaporator, and 2012 Rudd condenser. Furnace is located in garage servicing both upstairs and downstairs of home. Customer informed me they were unable to locate the filter for furnace since they moved in 2 years ago. Filter was located behind screwed in register grill inside down stairs area near door to garage. Blower wheel is heavily impacted with debris on fan blades. Evaporator coil has biological growth and is rusted all throughout. Heat exchanger is cracked on several burners. There is a duct board transition piece between the heat exchanger and evaporator coils. There is no secondary drain pan or flood protection of any kind. Flue pipe is single wall and there’s a hole cut out where the water heater is tied in but not properly sealed. The low voltage wires running from furnace to condenser are exposed on the outside. The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today. Furnace transformer failed on low voltage side. Replaced with approval and system now cooling again. Thank you for choosing TE certified!

Initial observations revealed the outdoor unit compressor not running but the fan motor is. Diagnostic analysis revealed a failed capacitor which requires replacement. I also observe the drain line in the attic is does not have proper fall and there is a fitting that is not glued so it will leak if drain clogs and backs up. I glued the fitting as a courtesy so drain won’t leak. Client approved capacitor replacement and upon cycling both zones in cooling, after about 15 minutes of run time to stabilize temperature/pressure correlation, system is low in refrigerant. Superheat temperature is currently 28 degrees and should be about 10 degrees on average with a 91 degree outdoor temperature. This system may have a refrigerant leak. An electronic leak test can be performed to locate leak for repair cost or you can just add refrigerant for today to see how long it lasts. If a leak is present it will leak out again and there is no warranty on just addinrefrigerant. Performed leak search which

Arrived on site to perform work previously quoted. We performed a panel restoration on the existing panel. We installed all new breakers throughout the entire panel. We separated grounds and neutrals in the panel. We torqued all connections to specifications. We labeled the panel so that all breakers are properly labeled. We installed two new ground rods on the outside of the home. We install a new utility bonding bridge for the grounding system as well. This is so the internet can be properly grounded. We ensured the main water shut off and water heater are properly bonded and they are. We also installed a whole home surge protector. This comes with a lifetime/$75,000 warranty through the manufacturer. Everything is working upon completion

Arrived on site to look at a GFCI in the garage tripping. The homeowner just purchased a new fridge for the garage. After a few hours, the GFCI would trip. I discussed with the homeowner the reasons this may happen. We discussed different options with the homeowner and she decided to have a new GFCI installed. We provided and installed a new high frequency GFCI outlet in the garage for the fridge. I informed the homeowner that if this continues to happen, to return the fridge and get a new one.

Customer called us out for leaking valves. Upon arrival, I found the home's water pressure was over 140 PSI and the expansion tank was waterlogged. I provided the homeowner with a quote to replace the leaking valves, expansion tank, and pressure reducing valve (PRV). The homeowner approved the repairs, and we completed the work. After the repairs were completed, I verified the home's water pressure was properly regulated at 50 PSI. Due to the age of the water heater, I also provided estimates for replacement.

Only System - Not Cooling System not cooling due to age related issues. The starting components have failed on the outdoor unit due to an over amping compressor and condenser fan motor. The compressor is pulling over 112 amps and sometimes over 300 amps. This far exceeds the LRA (Locked Rotor Amps) that is printed on the data plate of the unit. When a system is pulling LRA or greater it’s a for sure sign the compressor is at the end of its life. The condenser fan motor is also over camping and has leaked out all of its internal oil, causing the motor to also run hot. The electromagnetic contactor is burnt and pitted/blackened, the blower motor inside. The furnace is seeping oil out of the main seal, and the blower wheel is impacted with the debris. At 16 years old given the age, condition, refrigerant type, and cost of temporary repairs, I recommended updating this equipment. The homeowner opted to have our install supervisor come out this Friday afternoon to go over updating the equ
