Troubleshoot power to office cubicles Ballast bypass at office ceiling fixture

Today we are called out because the homeowner was experiencing lights flickering throughout the home. They said it would happen when the disposal was running or the washing machine was going. After doing a thorough evaluation, I found that it is a broken neutral.

Returned to replace blower motor and capacitor on upstairs system. Old motor was removed and new motor was installed and tested in both heat and cool modes. Checked refrigerant pressures and cleared drain line. Checked air temps and motor amperage. System is back to heating and cooling.

On today’s visit I met with the homeowner. The homeowner expressed an issue with a humming garbage disposal and a shower head that needed to replaced. I wrote estimates to perform work and received approval. I replaced the old shower head with a new customer supplied one. I also unjammed the disposal and tested for leaks and made sure it was functioning properly. The homeowner is now satisfied with the work completed. Upon arrival, met with customer and spoke with them regarding their issue. Customer showed me inside and to their main level bathroom. Customer states that when running fixtures upstairs, water will leak from the base of this toilet and it is not flushing either. Cleanout outside is empty confirming that there is a blockage inside the home affecting these bathrooms. Customer is using garage for storage right now so I was unable to inspect the water heater. Whole house water pressure is at a safe level @50psi. Gave customer options to clear the sewer line and after getting signature approval I began work. Removed existing toilet and cleaned wax from flange. Flange is set into concrete slab and has a large crack underneath the ring of the flange. I spoke with the customer about repairing the flange and they stated it was installed less than a year ago by another company and would like to check if it can be fixed under warranty before having us repair it. Customer had a broken hose bid in from of the house. After going over options I got approval to replace the original hose with new one once installed I tested everything. No other issues was found at this time thanks for choosing TE Certified.

Today I Came Out To Complete Work Quoted During The Last Visit. I Kept The Homeowner Up To Date On Every Step Through The Phone. I Removed The Damaged Mast, Hub, And Roof Boot. Once Julian Arrived We Put Up The New Mast, Hub, Roof Boot, Mast Clamp, And Weather Head. I Notified GA Power And Ran The Wire. I Terminated Connections In The Meter And Then Set Straps On The Mast. I Made Sure To Silicone Any Areas That Needed To Be. Once GA Power Re-Connected I Tested Voltage On All The Breakers In The Panel And Checked All Appliances For Any Damages. All The Breakers Tested With The Correct Voltage And All Appliances Were Operating As They Should. Gave the homeowner estimates which she will look over with her husband when he gets home from work tonight. For this job, I Removed the existing ceiling light fixture to prepare for installation of the customer-provided remote-controlled ceiling fan. Upon removal of the existing fixture, it was discovered that the existing junction box was not fan-rated and was not suitable to support the weight and mounting requirements of the new ceiling fan. The existing junction box was removed, and a new retrofit bar-hanger, fan-rated junction box was installed and properly secured to the ceiling structure. The new box was bonded and inspected to ensure proper support and secure mounting for the ceiling fan. The customer-provided ceiling fan was then assembled and installed on the newly installed fan-rated box. Electrical connections were completed, and the installation was checked for proper voltage output. The remote-control functions, fan operation, and overall functionality were tested and verified to be operating properly prior to departure from the site. Thank you for choosing TE!

Tech was out today 09/24/26 to install new thermostat to get system operational. Tested system to verify system is going in cooling and heating mode. ( passed ) Also let customer now that the following is still needing to be done for system to cool and heating mode properly . system is overcharged with refrigerant. Refrigerant will need to be taken out to be adjusted for proper cooling and heating purposes. Also breaker in Disconnect is faulty. Also please note that where the system is located in hall way , the door would need to be taken off for a louver door to be put in place as well as the return vent is needing to be bigger for proper air movement for system to breath properly. Spoke with customer about issues at hand.

Tech was out today 09/24/26 for a return visit to perform work on hvac equipment., the following is what tech did on this visit . Rewired all low-voltage correctly to system. Chemically cleaned blower wheel. Added an evaporator safety switch . The safety switch is designed to shut the system down if drain line ever becomes clogged. Cleared drain line with eco-friendly drain cleaner. Replaced transformer added a three amp fuse. Turned breaker back on to be able to check system, system came on with out adjusting thermostat. This was turning on heat strips with a no call to thermostat . Found thermostat faulty. Tech used a tester thermostat , to call for heating and cooling . Tech then proceeded to checking system. While checking system tech noticed the following Thermostat is needing to be replaced for system to operate in cooling and heating. system is overcharged with refrigerant. Refrigerant will need to be taken out to be adjusted for proper cooling and heating purposes. Also br

Replaced the bad pool switch, double pole for the pool pump. Did note to customer that the environment of the pool pump closet will eventually make it where the panel and wiring/ground connections will need replacing. The panel cover is rusted but interior of panel is fine at this point.

Install customer provided level 2 EV charger.

Install a 2 Nema 6/30 R dedicated circuits from breaker box to outlet location near back door. The cutouts in the Sheetrock around area that the outlets are installed were already there and not done by TE.

Came to inspect service wire to reconnect power.

For today’s service, I repaired the tub drain that had a cracked hole on the horizontal line and had to replace the P trout and reconnect back to the drainage system. Also replaced stop valves for the vanity and toilet located in the hallway bathroom. Tested everything to ensure that all the work has been completed, and there are no leaks to which I found no issues. Work is complete and thank you for choosing TE certified.

Tech was out for inspection. When looking at the system tech seen the following. Air handler door is opened up , air handler door laying on the floor. Some Low voltage wiring not hooked up, 3 amp fuse is blown , transformer has failed. No voltage flowing through transformer to power up system. Blower wheel is needing to be cleaned. Drain line is needing to be cleared. No flood protection on the evaporator coil. Outdoor condenser is needing to be chemically cleaned. Unable to verify pressures due to system not operating. Option 1 is to get system up and running to all other components. Option 2 is what needs to be done that tech was able to see while here. Once system is up and running tech would be able to dive in deeper and checked all other components. Spoke with customer about Issues with system.

Only System - Not Cooling System not cooling due to multiple issues related to the equipments age. This is a 22 year old Lennox AC and coil paired with a builder grade Goodman furnace. The system is almost completely out of Freon (R-22). The evaporator coil is completely rusted out and leaking refrigerant in multiple places. There are also a few corroded areas on the condenser coil that are potentially leaking as well, but with very little pressure in the system is hard to determine outside. The coil has frozen up and has been thawing out, the water from the melting ice is leaking down through the furnace where it’s coming out of the heat exchanger, inducer motor assembly, and the blower assembly. I also observed that the compressor is over amping, the condenser fan motor has leaked out its oil, there are rusted areas inside the furnace, these area may be rusted due to the system freezing and thawing out in the past. R-22 refrigerant is no longer available and nor are refrigerant rel

For this job, I installed (3) new bath fans, one for every bathroom for the house, (3) new light fixtures in the master bathroom which consisted of (2) new vanity sconces and (1) new ceiling fixture, all of which are operated by (3) new TE-provided White Decora switches. Every bathroom fan has appropriate ducting and safe wire conditions. However, The (2) master bathroom vanity sconces did not have junction boxes behind them leaving me to install new junction boxes for proper fixture support and wire protection as a courtesy. For this job I arrived to a leaking duct. Went up in the attic and found the duct that feeds the bonus room is detached at the Wye fitting. The wye fitting was not properly secured, which caused the duct to come loose. Reattached the duct onto the wye fitting, strapped up the wye fitting properly so it doesn’t come apart again. Did not test the system as the homeowner only wanted me to fix the duct as they sold the home and are moving out today. Thank you for choosing TE Certified.
