Homeowner has a water service that is leaking somewhere under the foundation of the house. The leak is rather slow however it is not presenting any obvious symptoms. Confirmed existence of leak by isolation the main line. Shut off up quarter turn valve inside house and the meter still showed movement. Trenched from meter to flower bed. Bored under flower bed and sidewalk to house. Installed 1” HDPE piping from meter to house, under sidewalk. Pipe is set approximately 18” deep into the ground. At the meter I installed a new meter nipple, a new 1” quarter turn PEX ball valve, and a new 1” dual check assembly. Drilled through foundation of house in the corner of the garage. Sleeved 3/4” Type L soft copper through foundation. Copper is wrapped with burial tape. Connected onto 3/4” PEX outside, and then upsized to 1” to connect to HDPE. Inside the garage, I ran approximately 20 feet of 3/4” PEX along the wall and ceiling, supported via bell hanger approximately every 5 feet. Drilled throug

Today we came out for only system not cooling properly 2014 Lennox four ton ac with matching 90k furnace. Client let me know on arrival that evaporator coil had been replaced a year after moving in and client has owned property for ten years. Inspected complete system checked heat exchanger with digital camera found severe metal fatigue and hot spots due to age and zoning. Cycled equipment from both thermostats in cooling mode found system critically low on refrigerant causing low pressure switch to open. Circuit has refrigerant leak, performed courtesy electronic leak search found leak on bottom of evaporator coil. With coil leaking compressor has lost lubrication and has been compromised. Blower motor bearings are worn out and very loud on start up. Contactor is severely pitted on condensing unit and condenser coil is impacted with dirt. Client has single stage builder grade equipment with zoning. Let customer know the proper set up would be a fully modulating communicating system. F

Arrived at the customer’s home to find the cause of no cooling on the upstairs HVAC system. Tested heating and cooling from the thermostat. Found that the cooling is calling properly, but the outdoor unit is not kicking on. After cycling power, a few times, the A/C turned on. There were signs of a restriction in the line set, even when simulating higher temperatures. Measured the electrical component readings and refrigerant pressures. Measured the static pressure and counted up the ductwork. The system is technically cooling at this time, but it seems airflow and refrigerant issues may be contributing to possible pressure switch trips or compressor lockout. Reported findings to the customer.

For this job, I did a leak troubleshoot for the homeowner isolated the water service between the meter and the shut off in the basement, and observed there was no leak on the service main. Once I opened it up, the meter spun very very, very, very slowly, which I discovered was because of a dripping faucet in the powder bathroom. The homeowner advised me that she will be having that faucet replaced tomorrow because she’s having the countertops redone and they already quoted her to replace the faucet. During my investigation I also noticed the sewer ejection pump in the basement is flooding. Homeowner is contacting her insurance company for mitigation. The sewage ejector pump has failed and is no longer functioning properly.

Arrived on site and replaced a Delta shower cartridge in the master shower along with a rebuild in the upstairs toilet new supply line and a new straight stop. Once work area was completed. I went ahead and checked the toilet flushing it several times to ensure no issues. I also had to remove the Delta handle because of corrosion and the handle. It was no longer usable. Customer will pick up a delta handle and replace cartridge is set and water to the home is on.

For this job, I came out to a high water bill found that the meter was full of water. And went ahead and did a dig search in front of meter and found that the leak was at the irrigation T. Went ahead and cut out the bad section of pipe and replaced it with new piping and fittings. Let glue settle for about an hour and tested for leaks. Then back filled hole.

Arrived on site and customer stated he has been in the house for about 7 months , and would like his water heater flushed, as he didn’t know the service history prior to buying the home. The existing water heater was installed in 2022 which is also when the home was built. I went ahead and hooked up the hose to the heater and flushed the unit out . Once heater was done draining , I ran some water through it to before filling the tank back up and turning the heater back on.

During our visit, the customer mentioned there was a leak coming from the 2” pvc 90 that was connected to the tub drain. I never witnessed the leak but spoke with the customer about solutions. An estimate was approved for a drain repair to be completed. Originally the price was for replacing the p-trap and connecting into the existing tubular waste and overflow. While cutting the drain, the wye broke. This lead to the wye and a section of the main drain line being replaced. A new p-trap was also installed and connected to the existing tubular. This repair was tested for leaks and functionality after completion.

Customers master toilet periodically backs up and left mast sink is slow. No other fixtures are affected. Both sinks have AAVs that are 28 years old and recommend starting by replacing one to see if that helps with flow. Replace existing AAV with new, 2 x 1/1/2" PVC Studor Vent. Also remove and clean master trap under left vanity in master. Tested with no issues.

Arrived to check on leak from drain pipe. Leak is actually coming from double wall flue in daughter’s closet attic access. Flue goes from that attic space up into main attic space. There is no water marks on flue in main attic space only in lower attic next to bedroom. Condensation seems to start at an elbow before entering main attic area. Elbow is hotter than surrounding flue pipe indicating possible break inside. Inspected furnace electrical, gas components, filter and flue located in basement. Single wall flue connects to double wall wye sharing flue with water heater. There are signs of water on furnace inducer motor assembly. Run capacitor is weak for blower motor and also found a failed heat exchanger. Performed CO test on home and while no levels were detected in basement main level showed very low levels of CO. In both attic spaces CO meter was detecting levels of 5 ppm then slowly climbed to 8 ppm before leaving attic space. Recommended system replacement, replacement of dura

Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system for main level. Today we came out for main level not heating 2002 Lennox 70k furnace with matching 2.5 ton ac. Evaluated complete system found gas valve leaking bye and dead batteries at thermostat. Performed safety inspection on furnace inspected heat exchanger with digital camera found crack at 12 o clock on second cell tagged furnace unsafe to operate due to potential carbon monoxide fumes. Gave repair options and scheduled install supervisor to give options on updating.

Homeowner called us out due to the hot side stop valve leaking underneath the kitchen sink. Upon the initial assessment, it was evident that the packing was losing on the stop. I tightened the packing on the stop at NO WARRANTY as a temporary solution. There was no evident leak at this time. Recommended the homeowner replace the stop(s) along with other options for the home. The home’s pressure was 80psi. TE Certified highly recommends safe static water pressure below 75psi between 50psi-65psi.

I arrived to the customers home and they were experiencing a whole home back up. I ran a cable machine through the main line after an hour of attempting and was slowly but surely able to clear the buildup of tissue paper. Following the clearing of the main line, I was able to run my camera to ensure the condition of the drain line to make sure there would be no future issues. I went over the benefits of drain maintenance for the customer and they chose to purchase a bottle of endure. There is no warranty on today’s drain cleaning.
