HVAC Service FAQs
The average cost to install or replace a home air conditioning system in the Atlanta, GA area is around $7,500. The typical range is from $6,500 - $12,500 because the price is determined by a number of factors, including the square footage of your home and SEER rating needed for your specific home. The make, model, size and efficiency rating of the unit chosen are also factors. Last but certainly not least, the brand of the HVAC unit and any extras, including zoning, smart thermostat, etc. have to be factored in.
On average, central air conditioning repairs in the Atlanta, GA area cost about $750. The low end could be as little as $150 for a thermostat fix and could go as high as $2,500 for something more complex. How much you should pay for a home AC repair depends almost entirely on what needs to be fixed. A simple fan fix will cost much less than a compressor repair, for instance. A professional HVAC technician will be able to provide you with a more accurate estimate and pricing.
Lack of regular maintenance causes more problems associated with home air conditioning systems in Atlanta than anything else. Another common issue is refrigerant leaks, which can cause the unit to lose its cooling power. Other problems can include electrical issues such as faulty wiring or a malfunctioning thermostat, which can prevent the unit from turning on or properly regulating the temperature. You can avoid most AC problems with regular and seasonal HVAC maintenance because this will address any issues, as soon as they arise, to keep your AC unit running efficiently and avoid costly repairs.
It depends on the specific issues with the unit and the overall condition of the AC unit. Generally, if a 20-year-old AC unit is experiencing major problems such as compressor failure or refrigerant leaks, it may be more cost-effective to replace the unit rather than investing in costly repairs over time. Older units are not as energy-efficient as newer HVAC models, meaning that it costs you more to run the unit. Check your energy bills monthly and ask for advice on the most cost-effective and energy-efficient solution. This will help you determine whether to repair or replace your AC unit.
The #1 reason your AC unit is not cooling your Atlanta area home is your air filters are dirty. Clogged air filters can restrict airflow, reducing your unit's ability to cool the air in your home. Some other reasons could include low refrigerant which won’t allow the air to cool properly. A malfunctioning thermostat can prevent your AC unit from turning on or regulating the temperature properly. Blocked or dirty condenser coils on the outside unit can become dirty, reducing its ability to dissipate heat. One last thing to check would be a clogged drain line. Your AC drain line can get clogged with mold, mildew, and debris, preventing the unit from properly draining the condensation, which causes the evaporator coil to freeze up and not cool properly.

Tankless Water Heater Repair & Installation Services
Tankless hot water heaters are a great choice for those who live in tight spaces, such as smaller kitchen or bathroom enclosures.
Compared to tank water heaters, tankless water heater systems offer higher efficiency, lower energy bills, endless hot water, extra space in your home (they don't take up as much space as a tank) and usually longer lifespans (15+ years compared to 10-12 years). In order to save money and energy, a tankless water heater system is the perfect choice.
The installation of this type is much simpler than traditional tanks because there's no need to install plumbing pipes under your sink! TE Certified can help you decide what size would work best with the available room space and power supply near where it'll be installed. Whether indoors near an electric outlet on wall socket/surfaces close enough so that electrical circuits won't become crossed during use, or outside we'll show you the options that you have.
Customer satisfaction is our number one priority, and we want to do everything we can to ensure you and your family stay comfortable all year round.
Call for easy scheduling.
Plumbing FAQs
If you know where your main water supply is located, turn if off and check the meter. If it is still changing, you know the leak is between your house and outside meter. If there are none inside (and this might seem obvious), then it's likely coming from somewhere else close by - like at least one other faucet or pipe nearby!
A leak is sometimes very obvious; other times you could have a leak for months and not know it. There are a few things to look out for if you suspect a leak in your Atlanta area home:
- Look at your water bill to see if your usage has gone up with no apparent reason.
- Any musty smells could indicate a leak that has led to mold/mildew.
- Any signs of wall, ceiling or floor damage, including stains, warping or bubbling.
Professional plumbers can do a thorough inspection of your home and grounds to determine if you have a water leak.

upsize the one inch connection on the outlet of the high volume gas meter to an inch and a quarter connection. We believe this is constricting the current flow of the gas to the heater during high demand times. install dual cascaded Navien tankless water heaters to take care of the needs of the house at maximum usage. Let homeowner know that two pool heaters and generator need their own regulator at one point left homeowner quotes to get that fixed. Homeowner is aware that there is an old recirculating pump cord circuit with wire nut that he needs to get out and fix. let homeowner know that we recommend three water heaters due to size of home but chart says that he’s good for two Naviens.
Luis and his team did an excellent job with the electrical and cabling work at our new office! Friendly, hard working and an excellent communicator. Thank you!!
Customer called us out for a back up of most of the fixtures in the house. I examined the kitchen bathroom and decided the best route was pulling the toilet and running a cable machine down that line.customer agreed. I also scheduled a sewer supervisor for Monday 1/19/26. I removed the toilet ran the cable machine down the line successfully clearing the blockage. I then cleaned up and tested the drain line by running the laundry room utility sink before reinstalling the toilet and cleaning it throughly.
Customer called us out for a back up from the basement toilet and floor drain in laundry room. On arrival there was water on the floor of the laundry room. I checked where the sewer ran in the back of the property and recommended running a cable down the toilet flange. Customer agreed. I ran the cable down successfully clearing the blockage. Tested the line with the tub in the same bathroom. Cleaned up reinstalled the toilet and tested everything.
Came out for no heat call on Upstairs heating system and to verify operations for main floor and basement systems. Home has 3 2024 Goodman Heat Pumps. UPSTAIRS: Found upstairs system has a bad Nest tstat that does not give power to "O" wire for reversing valve. Verified wires good. Also found outdoor disconnect wired improperly and blown fuse for plug-in. Cause of blown fuse still unclear, will need to reconfigure wiring properly then replace fuse to fully test upstairs outdoor unit. Also system was found with no filter, installed 20x24x1. System does not have TE Standard flood protection however they do have emergency pan and float switch. Made customer aware of benefits of wet switch and strongly recommended. MAIN FLOOR: System operating properly at this time. Disconnect box also wired improperly however no blown fuses so system getting 240v and running. Also no UV Protection, wet switch or filter. Installed 20x25x1 filter. Does have condensate pump and emergency pan with float swi
Homeowner was experiencing a sewer smell. The sewage ejection pit in the basement mechanical room was not sealed properly. Turned the power off the the pump and removed the lid. Removed debris from around the lid and installed new seals onto the new lid. Set lid into place and applied silicone to help secure and keep air tight. Installed a pressure coupling onto the ejection line and let glue cure. Turned power on and tested. Everything is working properly at this time.
Troubleshoot for multiple issues.
Union from pvc to elbow of collection box for furnace had cracked and was leaking condensate water not pan. Went to Home Depot and got a 3/4” to pvc union and repaired connection. Drained pan of water and tested system. Pans on both units are to extreme left leaving these system at risk of flooding should a problem occur.
Redevice bedroom
Performed no heat call and check thermostat installation and setting. Inspected unit found heat strips weren’t kicking in. Reset thermostat and reprogrammed. Found heats strip operational after reprogram and getting customer familiar with settings. Customer would like previous invoices from remodel south to be imported to location and job for record. Charged diagnostic fee only and sign customer up for homecare in lieu of charging thermostat installation fee approved by J.B.
Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system.
Very knowledgeable. Super nice man. Explained everything. Very courteous
Cut out and remove cast iron drainage piping serving fixture to be repiped and replaced with PVC and appropriate fittings. If not repiping entire home, tie back into healthy cast iron with approved mechanical coupling. Install pvc clean out for access and camera inspection. Once I can inspect and locate cast iron exiting crawl to exterior, I can provide an estimate for the additional work.

Return call after diagnosing a faulty gas control valve. Drained the heater, removed and inspected the old gas control valve, installed the new GCV, refilled the water heater, checked for both water and gas leaks. Turned on the water heater and verified there were no other issues/diagnostic codes with the heater. Purged air out of the line and cleaned up.

For this job we installed new lights in the mud room hallway, laundry room, and pantry. We also removed two light fixtures in the master bathroom. We installed two new outlets in the kitchen cabinets as well.
Work performed: We had to call out Atlanta gas light on Monday due to a leak on their side of the meter, which they came out and repaired. We replaced the 50 gallon gas water heater with a tankless water heater located on an outside wall. We removed the old water heater. We ran roughly 50’ of water supply piping to and from the heater. We then ran a 60’ recirculation line and tied it in near the site of the original water heater. The manufacturer recommends having this unit serviced annually. We replaced the electric water heater which is used strictly for heating the basement apartment. We replaced all the gas piping within the home and performed a pressure test and had an inspection done on the gas piping by the city before connecting to the fixtures (tankless water heater, furnace, and gas fireplace).
Today I replaced an existing lighted numbers on the front of the house with a new set. I cut two access holes inside the house to make connections. I replaced an existing timer with new outlet and plugged the transformer in there.
-install new ceiling fans

Finding a good contractor - electrician, plumber, carpenter, etc. is not easy. I believe I went through 3 electricians including the subcontractor (used by the contractor that remodeled our) until I found Nathan from TE Electric. Nathan is excellent, he knows his stuff. He has fixed several issues that were left by the subcontractor, made the changes I requested quickly, had suggestions on how something’s could be done better, and always makes sure I’m happy before he leaves. He is polite, patient, and VERY tidy - recommend him to everyone looking for electrician, my handyman even uses him.
Jordan did a great job replacing our washing machine hook up faucets.
Jeffrey showed up and explained all the details to me with patience and professionalism. He answered all my questions and explained all the pros and cons on every option available until I was comfortable in the direction we chose. He arrived on time and did the job with care. He coordinated all the necessary process with GA Power and the inspector and completed the job within the day. Overall, money well spent and would consider TE Certified again.
White Glove Service, Extremely Thorough
Wow, what can I say? I am retired and don't type fast enough to cover all of Ben's professional skills. I was in sales of copiers with Xerox, Canon and Konica Minolta for almost 40 years. Ben has the technical and professional customer skills I looked for in supporting all of my accounts which included Coca Cola, Turner Broadcasting, Atlanta's top law firms and a host of other premiere customers. These customers were all service driven. All devices need occasional support but, if the right device can be placed in the right work environment, ....... service is easier for all involved and everyone appreciates the end result of more uptime. Ben knows this and he appears to be a true "team player". I wish him well in his career with T&E and hope his customer and technical skills can be expanded to help all who work with him to make T&E the place to be. Please consider Ben as one of your strongest assets and help him,... to help T E Electrical to grow and expand in the years ahead. Sincerely, Jack
Very professional and pleasant
As always your staff was very professional and courteous. The ladies who answered the phone were caring of the situation and worked to have a technician arrive as soon as possible. James called ahead and arrived at the stated time. He identified and explained the issue. Answered my questions and provided several options to resolve the issue. I found the quote to be very reasonable and right on target when I research competitors. I have used TE Electrical in the past and will definitely use TE services in the future.
