HVAC Service FAQs
The average cost to install or replace a home air conditioning system in the Atlanta, GA area is around $7,500. The typical range is from $6,500 - $12,500 because the price is determined by a number of factors, including the square footage of your home and SEER rating needed for your specific home. The make, model, size and efficiency rating of the unit chosen are also factors. Last but certainly not least, the brand of the HVAC unit and any extras, including zoning, smart thermostat, etc. have to be factored in.
On average, central air conditioning repairs in the Atlanta, GA area cost about $750. The low end could be as little as $150 for a thermostat fix and could go as high as $2,500 for something more complex. How much you should pay for a home AC repair depends almost entirely on what needs to be fixed. A simple fan fix will cost much less than a compressor repair, for instance. A professional HVAC technician will be able to provide you with a more accurate estimate and pricing.
Lack of regular maintenance causes more problems associated with home air conditioning systems in Atlanta than anything else. Another common issue is refrigerant leaks, which can cause the unit to lose its cooling power. Other problems can include electrical issues such as faulty wiring or a malfunctioning thermostat, which can prevent the unit from turning on or properly regulating the temperature. You can avoid most AC problems with regular and seasonal HVAC maintenance because this will address any issues, as soon as they arise, to keep your AC unit running efficiently and avoid costly repairs.
It depends on the specific issues with the unit and the overall condition of the AC unit. Generally, if a 20-year-old AC unit is experiencing major problems such as compressor failure or refrigerant leaks, it may be more cost-effective to replace the unit rather than investing in costly repairs over time. Older units are not as energy-efficient as newer HVAC models, meaning that it costs you more to run the unit. Check your energy bills monthly and ask for advice on the most cost-effective and energy-efficient solution. This will help you determine whether to repair or replace your AC unit.
The #1 reason your AC unit is not cooling your Atlanta area home is your air filters are dirty. Clogged air filters can restrict airflow, reducing your unit's ability to cool the air in your home. Some other reasons could include low refrigerant which won’t allow the air to cool properly. A malfunctioning thermostat can prevent your AC unit from turning on or regulating the temperature properly. Blocked or dirty condenser coils on the outside unit can become dirty, reducing its ability to dissipate heat. One last thing to check would be a clogged drain line. Your AC drain line can get clogged with mold, mildew, and debris, preventing the unit from properly draining the condensation, which causes the evaporator coil to freeze up and not cool properly.

Tankless Water Heater Repair & Installation Services
Tankless hot water heaters are a great choice for those who live in tight spaces, such as smaller kitchen or bathroom enclosures.
Compared to tank water heaters, tankless water heater systems offer higher efficiency, lower energy bills, endless hot water, extra space in your home (they don't take up as much space as a tank) and usually longer lifespans (15+ years compared to 10-12 years). In order to save money and energy, a tankless water heater system is the perfect choice.
The installation of this type is much simpler than traditional tanks because there's no need to install plumbing pipes under your sink! TE Certified can help you decide what size would work best with the available room space and power supply near where it'll be installed. Whether indoors near an electric outlet on wall socket/surfaces close enough so that electrical circuits won't become crossed during use, or outside we'll show you the options that you have.
Customer satisfaction is our number one priority, and we want to do everything we can to ensure you and your family stay comfortable all year round.
Call for easy scheduling.
Plumbing FAQs
If you know where your main water supply is located, turn if off and check the meter. If it is still changing, you know the leak is between your house and outside meter. If there are none inside (and this might seem obvious), then it's likely coming from somewhere else close by - like at least one other faucet or pipe nearby!
A leak is sometimes very obvious; other times you could have a leak for months and not know it. There are a few things to look out for if you suspect a leak in your Atlanta area home:
- Look at your water bill to see if your usage has gone up with no apparent reason.
- Any musty smells could indicate a leak that has led to mold/mildew.
- Any signs of wall, ceiling or floor damage, including stains, warping or bubbling.
Professional plumbers can do a thorough inspection of your home and grounds to determine if you have a water leak.

Customer have a main line block that was affecting the entire house after testing the entire house. Both toilets was gurgling so I gave him an option to go through the exterior, clean out or pull the toilet to go inward towards the house if I went through the exterior clean out to clear the blockage due to how close the bathroom was to the clean out , so we ended up going with going to the cleanout and when I ran my cable, I was eventually able to get the wipes cleared to where all the water was moving. It took three or four attempts. Customer had mainline blockage 3 times in 3 years . So we have a camera tech coming out next Saturday to inspect to see why do they keep having blockages after testing all the water is moving with no backups

Today we came out to perform quoted work. We cleaned both blower wheels, evaporator coils, condenser coils, changed filter, and test work. One of the condensers is heavy corroded along the bottom, but it’s not leaking. I let customer know and for us to keep an eye on it. Everything is operational at time of departure. Thank you for calling us back out and I hope you have a great week!
Joshuia and his coworker did a great job! Everything was well explained. Pricing was transparent. The work was completed efficiently, and the work space was left clean. Great job! Thanks.
Called out for a backed up bathroom. Pulled toilet and ran cable to clear blockage. Blockage was soft tissue and rust. Tested thoroughly line is open and flowing at this time. Flipped towards sewer supervisor to provide estimate for flange and an camera inspection.
23 Year old Coleman Furnace/AC System not heating due to age. System has well exceeded its life expectancy and has multiple weak and outdated components. The igniter has failed, when testing voltage sent to the igniter I was getting fluctuating readings. 120-101-137-98 etc. The control board sends voltage to the igniter and the control board has a few hot spots “burned” areas on it. The inducer motor is over amping and has worn and noisy bearings, the blower motor is seeping oil at the main seal, the heat exchanger has several fractures, hot spots, and metal fatigue on it. The drain, gas line, and exhaust vent are not up to code. The cooling system is operating on R-22 refrigerant, this refrigerant is now obsolete and has gone through a Government Mandated Phase Out. After going over the age, condition, and lack of replacement parts for the equipment, I recommended updating the system. The homeowner requested we send out an install supervisor tomorrow afternoon and I set this appoint
Arrived on site for a $59 inspection special. We serviced 2 - 11 year old Lennox split systems. Both have communicating thermostats, and inverter driven outdoor units. The furnaces are both 80%. Furnaces and clients expressed no concerns with issues with performance. They recently bought the home and are in the process of moving in. They had ducts cleaned earlier today and wanted a full system inspection to determine performance, condition and safety of the equipment. We found both systems were clean and fully operational. We changed filters, flushed and cleaned both drain lines and tested the systems in hating and cooling. We spoke about Homecare and recommend safety switches for questionably pitched drain lines in the attic. The condensing units also had dirt and debris accumulating on the coils but overall each system was running well. We confirmed no gas leaks were present and both units are fully operational upon departure. Payment collected via credit card. Call complete.
Completing system evaluation, found a bad inducer motor, not creating enough draft to keep the burners on.
The Troubleshoot Replace Switch Estimates
Great Service
Homecare inspection 2 systems. Called out for too much heat, customer was unaware there was another thermostat calling for heat and also sending heat upstairs due to failed dampers. System stops when not calling for heat. Checked electrical components, checked heat exchanger, checked blower wheels and cabins, flushed drains, tested condensate pump, checked ductwork, checked zone operation, replaced filters, tested thermostat operations. Found cracked heat exchanger, no flood protection, duct board plenums, broken drain line outside, and dirty ac coil for upstairs system. Found failing indoor capacitor, failed damper motors, duct board plenums, short on return air, dirty ac coil and no wet switch for main floor system. Gave quotes on repairs and correcting zoning on main floor, recommended getting quote for new system as furnaces are 20 years old and are in poor condition. Customer is a Homecare member as of today and the Homecare was also completed today for both systems.
Client had condensate leaking out of the cabinet during the cold snap. The drain line is 1/2” CPVC and more than likely froze and caused the line to back up. I ran the unit through several cycles and confirmed that at this time the drain was clear and depositing water outside. I prepared and emailed an estimate to install 3/4” CPVC with a vent and insulated to help prevent this issue from happening again.
