HVAC Service FAQs
The average cost to install or replace a home air conditioning system in the Atlanta, GA area is around $7,500. The typical range is from $6,500 - $12,500 because the price is determined by a number of factors, including the square footage of your home and SEER rating needed for your specific home. The make, model, size and efficiency rating of the unit chosen are also factors. Last but certainly not least, the brand of the HVAC unit and any extras, including zoning, smart thermostat, etc. have to be factored in.
On average, central air conditioning repairs in the Atlanta, GA area cost about $750. The low end could be as little as $150 for a thermostat fix and could go as high as $2,500 for something more complex. How much you should pay for a home AC repair depends almost entirely on what needs to be fixed. A simple fan fix will cost much less than a compressor repair, for instance. A professional HVAC technician will be able to provide you with a more accurate estimate and pricing.
Lack of regular maintenance causes more problems associated with home air conditioning systems in Atlanta than anything else. Another common issue is refrigerant leaks, which can cause the unit to lose its cooling power. Other problems can include electrical issues such as faulty wiring or a malfunctioning thermostat, which can prevent the unit from turning on or properly regulating the temperature. You can avoid most AC problems with regular and seasonal HVAC maintenance because this will address any issues, as soon as they arise, to keep your AC unit running efficiently and avoid costly repairs.
It depends on the specific issues with the unit and the overall condition of the AC unit. Generally, if a 20-year-old AC unit is experiencing major problems such as compressor failure or refrigerant leaks, it may be more cost-effective to replace the unit rather than investing in costly repairs over time. Older units are not as energy-efficient as newer HVAC models, meaning that it costs you more to run the unit. Check your energy bills monthly and ask for advice on the most cost-effective and energy-efficient solution. This will help you determine whether to repair or replace your AC unit.
The #1 reason your AC unit is not cooling your Atlanta area home is your air filters are dirty. Clogged air filters can restrict airflow, reducing your unit's ability to cool the air in your home. Some other reasons could include low refrigerant which won’t allow the air to cool properly. A malfunctioning thermostat can prevent your AC unit from turning on or regulating the temperature properly. Blocked or dirty condenser coils on the outside unit can become dirty, reducing its ability to dissipate heat. One last thing to check would be a clogged drain line. Your AC drain line can get clogged with mold, mildew, and debris, preventing the unit from properly draining the condensation, which causes the evaporator coil to freeze up and not cool properly.

Tankless Water Heater Repair & Installation Services
Tankless hot water heaters are a great choice for those who live in tight spaces, such as smaller kitchen or bathroom enclosures.
Compared to tank water heaters, tankless water heater systems offer higher efficiency, lower energy bills, endless hot water, extra space in your home (they don't take up as much space as a tank) and usually longer lifespans (15+ years compared to 10-12 years). In order to save money and energy, a tankless water heater system is the perfect choice.
The installation of this type is much simpler than traditional tanks because there's no need to install plumbing pipes under your sink! TE Certified can help you decide what size would work best with the available room space and power supply near where it'll be installed. Whether indoors near an electric outlet on wall socket/surfaces close enough so that electrical circuits won't become crossed during use, or outside we'll show you the options that you have.
Customer satisfaction is our number one priority, and we want to do everything we can to ensure you and your family stay comfortable all year round.
Call for easy scheduling.
Plumbing FAQs
If you know where your main water supply is located, turn if off and check the meter. If it is still changing, you know the leak is between your house and outside meter. If there are none inside (and this might seem obvious), then it's likely coming from somewhere else close by - like at least one other faucet or pipe nearby!
A leak is sometimes very obvious; other times you could have a leak for months and not know it. There are a few things to look out for if you suspect a leak in your Atlanta area home:
- Look at your water bill to see if your usage has gone up with no apparent reason.
- Any musty smells could indicate a leak that has led to mold/mildew.
- Any signs of wall, ceiling or floor damage, including stains, warping or bubbling.
Professional plumbers can do a thorough inspection of your home and grounds to determine if you have a water leak.

Returned to the home today to complete all approved repairs. The remaining refrigerant was recovered and the failed compressor was removed. A new compressor was installed and properly brazed into the system, ensuring all refrigerant connections were secure. A new bi-flow liquid line filter drier was also installed to protect the system and ensure proper refrigerant filtration. After installation, the refrigerant circuit was pressure tested with nitrogen to confirm there were no leaks. Once the system was verified leak-free, a deep vacuum was performed and pulled down below 500 microns to remove moisture and non-condensables from the system. During startup, the system briefly went into thermal overload due to the compressor overheating and pulling higher than normal amperage under initial load conditions. A hard start kit was installed to assist the compressor during startup and reduce strain on the motor. After allowing the compressor to cool, the system restarted and began operating
Completed work quoted in prior visit. Installed new compressor for main floor system and add UV germicidal for upstairs system System is now up and running, Thank you for choosing TE Certified!

Electrical wire looks to be chewed or spliced that goes to the system. This would need to be repaired . Outdoor condenser would need to be moved 4 feet from the home as of right now condenser is sitting up against the home by 6 inches. Also would have to add an Also would have to add an 36 x 36 pad for outdoor unit . Condenser line set would to be repaired. Disconnect
Tech diagnosed upstairs system only… System has 2 zones , tech noticed refrigerant leak at evepaortor coil, system is lacking safety switches, major damages at compressor, dirty evaporator and condenser coil. Replaced track light fixture and installed Whole Home Surge Protection
Installed a customer supplied widespread lavatory faucet and pop up in the art room bathroom. Thanks!
Install new 40 gallon gas water heater.
Homeowner had a leaking shower head on the left side of master shower. I replaced the shower cartridge and trim/handle. All work was tested and checked for leaks After removing the original shower cartridge, I found the shower valve body was riddled with calcium deposits. I removed what I could but there are still deposits where I could not see/reach. I recommended water filtration to not only prevent further buildup but to also help dissolve it.
Tested gas line for pool heater, generator, and fire pit. Pressure test showed a fast leak underneath the concrete slab at the generator. The gas line was black iron coming through the concrete. We suspected that the underground line from the house was polyethylene. We removed a section of concrete and located the yellow poly gas line under the slab. We were able to locate multiple holes in the underground black iron. We used an underground rated compression coupling to extend the inch and a half poly gas line to above ground level. We then installed a flexible gas riser over the pipe. We pressure tested the line and it held 15psi for 15 minutes. We added a new gas valve for the line and reconnected to the existing gas piping. We also added a new gas valve for the line that serves the fire pit. This allows for isolation of every fixture or appliance for service and repairs. Thank you for choosing TE Certified!
I came out to investigate an issue with your floodlights, not working. After checking out all of the wires and switches, we found that they were in good shape and it turned out that the floodlights themselves have burned out. One of the problems was likely that none of the switches go into the floodlights were grounded so I have grounded all the switches in that bank of switches as well as the ones in the master bedroom. We discussed installing a surge protector, however you already have one and you did not want one on the subpanel since there is one on the main panel. I’m including a price for replacing the current flood lights with floodlight supplied by you. Thank you for using TE certified electrical! Veaya

Came out today to perform one system HVAC service call. Upon arrival, customer stated that the system was not running in cool mode, but would run in heat. Upon inspection of the system found that the brown thermostat wire was hooked to y on the thermostat. Upon testing the voltage at the indoor unit was not getting 24 V between common and the Y terminal, this indicated there is a short in the wire. Use last wire in thermostat bundle available to reconnect the Y terminal. Customer is aware that the next option would be to either rerun a brand new thermostat wire or go with wireless thermostats. And upon customer request if we change the thermostat we would need wireless smart thermostat. Upon completion tested all functions of the system to ensure proper function. System was operating properly. Upon speaking with customer, customer elected to sign up for the home care membership. Customer also stated that they needed to speak with their husband before making a decision on re-running the

Certified.
I hired this company to investigate a possible leak in my home. Based on the initial assessment, all signs indicated there likely was no leak. Despite that, the team decided to dig into my garage floor to search for one. During the process they also told me my water heater was not up to code and that if it were removed, reinstalling it would cost essentially the same as installing a new unit. As a result, I ended up replacing my water heater. Now I am left with a hole in my garage floor that I have to pay someone else to repair, and the new water heater does not heat the water anywhere near as well as the previous one. Overall, I paid a significant amount of money and ended up in a worse situation than when the service started. I’m disappointed with the outcome and feel the work performed did not actually resolve the issue I called about.
Jeremiah changed my opinion about TE Certified. He was knowledgeable and professional.
