For this job, I replaced a meter that was burnt. The customer had a meter in which one of the legs completely burnt up. I replaced it today, but I highly recommend replacing the wiring and doing a partial service upgrade.

For this job we came to the customers house and saw a burnt outlet, so for safe measures we went ahead and re-deviced the whole bedroom in hallway by garage. We also saw that the customer had a Sycom in the main panel and we replaced that with a Eaton Surge and flush kit below the main panel. We also separated the double tapped neutrals in the main panel.

System is a 3.5 ton heat pump with zoning. Very limited access crawl space. Capacitor testing good. Pressures were 98/485 and rising indicating an airflow issue. Found dirty air filter and upon inspection found even more impacted evaporator coil. Air handler is a Goodman from 2013 and the heat pump is a Rheem from 2020. Coils are not accessible for service and only 6” away from a concrete pillar. Recommend new system that is variable speed. Customer is turning crawl space into a basement and will be finished estimated about 6 months time from now. He is hoping to redo air handler and make vertical once basement is complete. At that time we will be able come back out and quote a new system.

Toilet in the back bathroom was having issues with constantly running. Due to the age of the toilet we decided that replacement was the best option. I installed a new Kohler Highline Arc toilet. Installed new flange bolts and wax ring. I sealed around the base of the toilet with clear silicone. Toilet flushes and fills with no issues.

Excavated area at water leak. Found that there were sharkbite fittings connecting the irrigation to the water main. Replaced section of piping and Replaced isolation valve and dual check. Repiped as needed. Tested for leaks and function, all good. Irrigation is very shallow. Suggest having your irrigation company bury it deeper to avoid possible freezing and damage. Pressure was high above 80 psi, replaced Prv, set to 65 psi, replaced ball valve as courtesy . Quoted for water heater replacement and for customer supplied valve and trim install. System was not heating due to water in vinyl tubing of inducer motor blocking pressure switch from closing. Cleared vinyl tubing. Informed customer that furnace is incorrect application for crawlspace. Should be 90%+ 2-stage equipment. Possibility of water being fed back to inducer motor from flue venting on roof. Customer will have roofers check for proper roof cap. Noticed during inspection that system has no form of water protection. Recommend drain line replacement. Replaced 14x25x1 filter. Informed customer of findings and recommendations. System is currently working.

Performed leak search and cut drywall to investigate found nut on shower drain not even hand tight tightened nut and ran shower for approximately 30 minutes or more no leaks present after shower drain was tightened customer notated dripping noise which I stated is the shower cartridge gone bad customer allowed me to also replace the Delta shower cartridge in the jack and Jill bathroom upstairs No further repairs needed for the leak search customer is responsible to replace drywall.

Customer has 15 y/o Amana system that operates for main level. System was not heating due tripped rollout limit switch. Noticed that supply ductwork is undersized and bathroom vent was completely closed, causing heat to be trapped and shutting down system. System will run in low fire, however, in high fire due to lack of airflow, system will trip limit. System is experiencing poor combustion. Media filters are clean. Noticed other issues, which were brought to customer’s attention. Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system.
