HVAC Service FAQs
The average cost to install or replace a home air conditioning system in the Atlanta, GA area is around $7,500. The typical range is from $6,500 - $12,500 because the price is determined by a number of factors, including the square footage of your home and SEER rating needed for your specific home. The make, model, size and efficiency rating of the unit chosen are also factors. Last but certainly not least, the brand of the HVAC unit and any extras, including zoning, smart thermostat, etc. have to be factored in.
On average, central air conditioning repairs in the Atlanta, GA area cost about $750. The low end could be as little as $150 for a thermostat fix and could go as high as $2,500 for something more complex. How much you should pay for a home AC repair depends almost entirely on what needs to be fixed. A simple fan fix will cost much less than a compressor repair, for instance. A professional HVAC technician will be able to provide you with a more accurate estimate and pricing.
Lack of regular maintenance causes more problems associated with home air conditioning systems in Atlanta than anything else. Another common issue is refrigerant leaks, which can cause the unit to lose its cooling power. Other problems can include electrical issues such as faulty wiring or a malfunctioning thermostat, which can prevent the unit from turning on or properly regulating the temperature. You can avoid most AC problems with regular and seasonal HVAC maintenance because this will address any issues, as soon as they arise, to keep your AC unit running efficiently and avoid costly repairs.
It depends on the specific issues with the unit and the overall condition of the AC unit. Generally, if a 20-year-old AC unit is experiencing major problems such as compressor failure or refrigerant leaks, it may be more cost-effective to replace the unit rather than investing in costly repairs over time. Older units are not as energy-efficient as newer HVAC models, meaning that it costs you more to run the unit. Check your energy bills monthly and ask for advice on the most cost-effective and energy-efficient solution. This will help you determine whether to repair or replace your AC unit.
The #1 reason your AC unit is not cooling your Atlanta area home is your air filters are dirty. Clogged air filters can restrict airflow, reducing your unit's ability to cool the air in your home. Some other reasons could include low refrigerant which won’t allow the air to cool properly. A malfunctioning thermostat can prevent your AC unit from turning on or regulating the temperature properly. Blocked or dirty condenser coils on the outside unit can become dirty, reducing its ability to dissipate heat. One last thing to check would be a clogged drain line. Your AC drain line can get clogged with mold, mildew, and debris, preventing the unit from properly draining the condensation, which causes the evaporator coil to freeze up and not cool properly.

Tankless Water Heater Repair & Installation Services
Tankless hot water heaters are a great choice for those who live in tight spaces, such as smaller kitchen or bathroom enclosures.
Compared to tank water heaters, tankless water heater systems offer higher efficiency, lower energy bills, endless hot water, extra space in your home (they don't take up as much space as a tank) and usually longer lifespans (15+ years compared to 10-12 years). In order to save money and energy, a tankless water heater system is the perfect choice.
The installation of this type is much simpler than traditional tanks because there's no need to install plumbing pipes under your sink! TE Certified can help you decide what size would work best with the available room space and power supply near where it'll be installed. Whether indoors near an electric outlet on wall socket/surfaces close enough so that electrical circuits won't become crossed during use, or outside we'll show you the options that you have.
Customer satisfaction is our number one priority, and we want to do everything we can to ensure you and your family stay comfortable all year round.
Call for easy scheduling.
Plumbing FAQs
If you know where your main water supply is located, turn if off and check the meter. If it is still changing, you know the leak is between your house and outside meter. If there are none inside (and this might seem obvious), then it's likely coming from somewhere else close by - like at least one other faucet or pipe nearby!
A leak is sometimes very obvious; other times you could have a leak for months and not know it. There are a few things to look out for if you suspect a leak in your Atlanta area home:
- Look at your water bill to see if your usage has gone up with no apparent reason.
- Any musty smells could indicate a leak that has led to mold/mildew.
- Any signs of wall, ceiling or floor damage, including stains, warping or bubbling.
Professional plumbers can do a thorough inspection of your home and grounds to determine if you have a water leak.

Job Locations and Reviews
Drain lines clogged and condensation pump clogged. Cleared and cleaned.
Installed new circuit for sauna in workout room.
Downstairs office and outside outlets circuit tripping, replace outside gfci outlets with weather rated duplex outlets and replaced the bubble covers. As well as resealed both outdoor outlets and sealed the service meter for good measure
Returned to install a customer-supplied shut-off valve for the water chiller installed on May 14th. Upon inspection, the original valve was missing a washer. The new valve is different from the original configuration; however, we were able to adapt it without using all included components, reducing it to properly tie into the existing cold water line. After installation, the system was tested thoroughly to ensure there were no leaks. The fixture is now operating properly and as expected. Thank you for choosing TE Certified!
Customer may want to install a gas stove. There no gas line coming up from the floor. Left estimate to run new 1/2 gas line to the stove location. Thanks for choosing TE Certified.
Reinstall ceiling fans and recessed lights on back porch.
I was extremely satisfied with the service provided by Rusty Cardin and Alex Vaugh. They came to inspect a recurring problem I’d been having with my A/C and as the third team to come out was actually able to pinpoint the problem, explain it to me in layman terms in a way I could understand (which is huge when it’s unfamiliar territory), and provide several options for ways to somewhat tackle the problem and take care of my system overall. I can truly say they really take pride in their work and this was one of the most extensive checks/troubleshooting of my system done hence all the various options and recommendations. I’ll definitely be having these guys come out again for any further work I’ll do…they’ve set the bar for me at TE!
System tripped breaker during storm. Want to have electrical come out to look to see if panel needs to be updated. System was only pulling 13 amps while running on outdoor unit circuit
For this job I arrived to a no cool. Found the ODU to be running even though there was no call for cool. After a long, multiple and extensive tests I confirmed there to be bad outdoor wire from the IDU to the outside. The way the wire is ran we would have to get our electrician department out here and give a quote out to run new tstat wire. Informed homeowner it will be a bigger ticket and would involve cutting sheet rock. There is no attic access and the tstat goes onto the roof and then into the ground and splices into the disconnect box. Technician informed customer and will contact the office for electrician department. Thank you for choosing TE Certified. If you were satisfied with today’s service, I would greatly appreciate a 5-star review and your feedback on your experience today.
I was called out to Jeremy’s house for a cooling issue on the left system. Jeremy has lived here for about 4 years so we performed a thorough evaluation. During the evaluation we discovered the system is from 2019, it is single staged with 3 zones which is a poor application and will likely cause issues, the flood pan and safety are missing, and the main issue today was that the fuse on the furnace had popped which turned the furnace off. I replaced the fuse and tested the system and the only possible short I discovered was a spade connector on the contactor that had a burn spot and we replaced the capacitor because it tested bad and we replaced it a year ago.
Arrived to perform main floor evaluation coil replacement, removed failed leaking coil, installed new Rheem evaporator coil, secured supply plenum, tape and mastic all air leaks, checked for leaks with nitrogen, pulled vacuum down to 291 micron, added 7lb of r410, removed all water from secondary drain on, flushed condensation pump, checked upstairs unit, replaced customer provided filter, chemicals cleaned both outdoor units, no other issues at time
Arrived spoke with customer. She stated unit has not been operating for a couple days. Basement/1st floor system. Found both thermostats Wi-Fi signal lost. Customer stated she had them Wi-Fi disconnected a while ago. Removed Wi-Fi signal connection from both thermostats per customer. Cycled system on both thermostat operating. Checked outdoor unit. Checked capacitor, contactor, and pressures. All systems operating.
Carlos was super thorough and clearly communicated expectations. He met them and also scheduled me for a plumbing visit with your company.
We installed a customer supplied toilet in the half bath and also replaced 3 stop valves in the half bath as well. We installed the vanity and moved the drain line to the vanity over to the middle of it. We installed a customer supplied faucet as well.
Upon arrival customer stated that ac unit was not cooling and that outdoor unit was not coming on. Customer stated they have had freezing issues from system before. Gas furnace is 23 years old, ac and coil is 29 years old. Did full inspection of system found that unit is completely empty on refrigerant. The refrigerant for this system is no longer manufactured unit is obsolete. Capacitor is bad, contactor is bad, condenser coils are bad, checked indoor unit, upon entering crawl space customer and I both heard blower making loud noises, found that blower wheel is very dirty, and there is a lot of growth build up tangled in the blower motor causing wheel,to now be off balance and system not working properly. Furnace is very dirty and has a lot of failures as well. Flue pipe for furnace is held together by tape and is exposed and not venting correctly. Duct system is in poor shape. Advised customer due to age of equipment and unit being obsolete recommended speaking with install superviso
For this Job I worked on Installing a Square D QO Sub Panel and running 2 Circuits. 1 was for a 3D Printer 2. a extra garage outlet
Basement system was not cooling. I found that the blown capacitor that controls the compressor in the outdoor fan motor was completely bad the contactor that’s in line with the compressor of the capacitor in the outdoor fan motor was extremely painted out. The outdoor fan motor was over amping he would go into thermal overload. I replaced the outdoor fan motor 45/5 capacitor and contactor. Added refrigerant to manufacturer specifications for ambient temperatures..
Arrived at home to assess sewer line and provide accurate estimates for scope of work. Pulled toilet and sent camera down. I was only able to make it about 15 feet which made it down and then out maybe a few feet from the foundation located it within the bushes of the front yard. Scott believes it goes out to the side of the home, but I am unsure and can’t really tell anything underwater. Recommended to replace a section of the piping and install a clean out on the exterior of the home to reassess the rest of the line but also to replace up to the bathroom and toilet of all the cast-iron. Got plans to meet with his wife and have his decision soon.
Added a porch outlet for a TV.
Arrived for no cool call. Inspected thermostat. Inspected blower and blower wheel. Found evaporator coil completely froze over. Coil is rusted and corroded. Inspected outdoor components. Recommended starting components be replaced and super clean coil. Customer wants to speak with comfort advisor to get quoted for an AC and coil.

Found large calcium build up along with hair to be the cause of the blockage, chipped away at the calcium and ran sewer machine through shower drain to clear blockage of hair, shower is now clear and flowing, Thank you for choosing TE Certified!!

Call out for leak in the bathroom upon inspection found that toilet was leaking from the tank gave estimate for rebuild. Also found that tub was leaking from grout line grouted around edge of the tub and around the spout. Informed customer to let caulking set for 24 to 48 hours before using the tub.
Customer was experiencing high water pressure and 2 running toilets. We replaced the Prv and ball valve in basement and set it to 65 psi to resolve the high water pressure. Rebuilt the toilet in the master and the downstairs guest bathroom by replacing the fill valve and flapper. Restored water and checked for leaks, found no leaks and made sure everything was functioning properly Noticed both duel water heaters leaking and will leave a estimate for replacement
Upon arrival spoke with customer about a leak coming from the left master bathroom sink. Water was off to the sink. Valve on the cold side was leaking when turned on. Devon did a great job in all respects. He was on time, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. When a repair uncovered additional work requiring a plumber, Devon took care of arranging it quickly. I will definitely use TE the next time I need an electrician or a plumber.
Corey was punctual, professional and very knowledgeable about his job. He had to trouble shoot the electrical going from my panel into the HVAC system and found that the issue was actually a problem with the mother board on the HVAC system itself.
Demetric did a great job. He was punctual, professional and very knowledgeable about his job. He fixed our plumbing issue quickly.
Dee was flexible on scheduling, he was prompt, friendly, neat, knowledgeable, and efficient.
Devon was on time, friendly, neat, knowledgeable, and efficient. Absolutely recommend him.
Great communication, excellent work, complete, professional, personable. This is not, however, a choice for those looking for low budget work. I've learned over many years that the lowest bid isn't always the best choice.
Joaquinn was absolutely wonderful! We had to lots of deferred maintenance on my moms’s home. A huge part of that was electrical. Joaquinn was patient, explained what was wrong and what needed to be done. He came within the hours quoted to me and stayed the whole day to address the additional items I needed. Definitely ask for Joaquinn- you’ll thank me.
I was very grateful for Yael to work up all the jobs at the house. He was very professional and worked on dialing in the perfect set up with the installation and made sure it was exactly what was needed. Highly Recommended for any service needed.
