HVAC Service FAQs
The average cost to install or replace a home air conditioning system in the Atlanta, GA area is around $7,500. The typical range is from $6,500 - $12,500 because the price is determined by a number of factors, including the square footage of your home and SEER rating needed for your specific home. The make, model, size and efficiency rating of the unit chosen are also factors. Last but certainly not least, the brand of the HVAC unit and any extras, including zoning, smart thermostat, etc. have to be factored in.
On average, central air conditioning repairs in the Atlanta, GA area cost about $750. The low end could be as little as $150 for a thermostat fix and could go as high as $2,500 for something more complex. How much you should pay for a home AC repair depends almost entirely on what needs to be fixed. A simple fan fix will cost much less than a compressor repair, for instance. A professional HVAC technician will be able to provide you with a more accurate estimate and pricing.
Lack of regular maintenance causes more problems associated with home air conditioning systems in Atlanta than anything else. Another common issue is refrigerant leaks, which can cause the unit to lose its cooling power. Other problems can include electrical issues such as faulty wiring or a malfunctioning thermostat, which can prevent the unit from turning on or properly regulating the temperature. You can avoid most AC problems with regular and seasonal HVAC maintenance because this will address any issues, as soon as they arise, to keep your AC unit running efficiently and avoid costly repairs.
It depends on the specific issues with the unit and the overall condition of the AC unit. Generally, if a 20-year-old AC unit is experiencing major problems such as compressor failure or refrigerant leaks, it may be more cost-effective to replace the unit rather than investing in costly repairs over time. Older units are not as energy-efficient as newer HVAC models, meaning that it costs you more to run the unit. Check your energy bills monthly and ask for advice on the most cost-effective and energy-efficient solution. This will help you determine whether to repair or replace your AC unit.
The #1 reason your AC unit is not cooling your Atlanta area home is your air filters are dirty. Clogged air filters can restrict airflow, reducing your unit's ability to cool the air in your home. Some other reasons could include low refrigerant which won’t allow the air to cool properly. A malfunctioning thermostat can prevent your AC unit from turning on or regulating the temperature properly. Blocked or dirty condenser coils on the outside unit can become dirty, reducing its ability to dissipate heat. One last thing to check would be a clogged drain line. Your AC drain line can get clogged with mold, mildew, and debris, preventing the unit from properly draining the condensation, which causes the evaporator coil to freeze up and not cool properly.

Tankless Water Heater Repair & Installation Services
Tankless hot water heaters are a great choice for those who live in tight spaces, such as smaller kitchen or bathroom enclosures.
Compared to tank water heaters, tankless water heater systems offer higher efficiency, lower energy bills, endless hot water, extra space in your home (they don't take up as much space as a tank) and usually longer lifespans (15+ years compared to 10-12 years). In order to save money and energy, a tankless water heater system is the perfect choice.
The installation of this type is much simpler than traditional tanks because there's no need to install plumbing pipes under your sink! TE Certified can help you decide what size would work best with the available room space and power supply near where it'll be installed. Whether indoors near an electric outlet on wall socket/surfaces close enough so that electrical circuits won't become crossed during use, or outside we'll show you the options that you have.
Customer satisfaction is our number one priority, and we want to do everything we can to ensure you and your family stay comfortable all year round.
Call for easy scheduling.
Plumbing FAQs
If you know where your main water supply is located, turn if off and check the meter. If it is still changing, you know the leak is between your house and outside meter. If there are none inside (and this might seem obvious), then it's likely coming from somewhere else close by - like at least one other faucet or pipe nearby!
A leak is sometimes very obvious; other times you could have a leak for months and not know it. There are a few things to look out for if you suspect a leak in your Atlanta area home:
- Look at your water bill to see if your usage has gone up with no apparent reason.
- Any musty smells could indicate a leak that has led to mold/mildew.
- Any signs of wall, ceiling or floor damage, including stains, warping or bubbling.
Professional plumbers can do a thorough inspection of your home and grounds to determine if you have a water leak.

Job Locations and Reviews
On this job we ran new CAT 6 lines to multiple locations throughout the home on each level. We reaffirmed the placements and amount of Cat 6 runs. We re-terminated the ends and installed plates. We built a medium size rack as well as all the Ubiquity equipment. We removed old LV panel & wire per the customers request.
Came out to customers house due to his system not cooling. Noticed compressor has failed. I also noticed condenser coil is dirty, contactor is failing/burnt, blower wheel is dirty, system has no water safety on it, and 20 x 25 x 4 filter is dirty. Replacing system due to cost of repairs being high, being out of warranty, and possible future issues down the road due to age. Customer approved to replace compressor. Replaced compressor, pressure tested system to 398 psi 15 minutes, pulled down vacuum to 235 microns, replace filter dryer, and added new refrigerant. System is cooling properly at this moment thank you for choosing TE certified.
Installed warranty condenser fan motor. Replaced 40/5 MFD capacitor. Pressure levels were normal. System is currently working.
4 ton system for master bedroom and second bedroom Homeowner is noticed there was water leaking through the ceiling and they saw water in the pan for system, which was overflowing onto ceiling, causing water damage This was not caused by TE With homeowner approval, we vacuumed out the water out of the pan, and I tested the safety switch, which was working and tested the pump which was working Cause for the water in the pan was due to a kinked tubing from the condensate pump at the discharge in the main drain of the house With homeowner approval, I redid 5 feet of tubing with a loop this way it does not kink and put it back in the discharge drain Tested system and it is running normal at departure Thank you for choosing TE certified!
Installed new faucets and replaced the shut off valves. Installed air hammer for dishwasher. Installed garbage disposal and new P trap. Set gas stove top in place and connected gas line. Tested and everything is working properly.
For this job the customer stated they had a toilet that was intermittently running. Further inspection showed that the flapper on their toilet was not sealing properly and the homeowner decided to replace it. The old toilet was removed and replaced and tested thoroughly for leaks and proper function. The toilet was sealed and a new shut off was installed.
Upon arrival, met with customer and spoke with him regarding their issue. Customer showed me inside and up the main level kitchen. Customer states that the disposal for the kitchen sink stopped working. The p trap for the kitchen sink is also oriented backwards. I was unable to unjam the disposal. The p trap will not be able to be oriented correctly unless the disposal is removed and a basket strainer is installed to get the correct height for the tubular waste. Or by removing the back of the cabinet and moving the kitchen drain lower if possible. Customer will leave the p trap as it is now and I gave estimates to replace the disposal. Customer agreed and after getting signature approval I began work. Removed existing disposal and disconnected electrical wiring and dishwasher drain. Installed new 1/2hp Insinkerator Badger 5 with new mounting bracket. Reconnected wiring for disposal and reconnected dishwasher drain. Secured new disposal to bracket and tested for proper function. No leak
Troubleshoot the breakers in the panel, fire dept used a thermal camera and seen the arc fault breakers were hot and recommended turning off, i verified the breakers are ok, they typically run hotter than a regular breaker does
For this job, I troubleshot outlets not working
Replaced the light in an upstairs closet with a recessed led wafer.
Replaced water service line from the back of first house to the right front side of the back house. Pressurized system and inspected and found that there are no other leaks at this time. Backfield and clean work area and walked over with customer. Secondary water service replacement is being rescheduled for friday Morning due to being in backyard with underground utilitys which have to be located and marked before digging with a tractor. Georgia 811 will only mark out the backyard when called in as a normal ticket and not as an emergency. Normal tickets generally take between 3-4 days to locate. We will have all materials, equipment and man power on site Friday morning the 28th. Homeowner has turned the water off to the busted line to prevent a higher bill and to stop the flooding/ damage to foundation.
Troubleshot non-functioning closet light switch. Verified proper voltage at the circuit breaker and at the light switch. Diagnosed and corrected switch wiring, then tested the circuit to confirm proper operation. Light switch and closet light are now functioning correctly.
Install new dedicated circuit for basement sump pump. Install new outlets in primary bathroom

Ricardo, the technician, is the best. HIGHLY recommend this company FOR HVAC SERVICE ONLY!!! I can’t stress that enough. Their technicians do great work if you need a repair, but if you get involved with sales - like if you have to get a new system - they are selling inferior products at inflated prices. Be very careful if they send a salesperson out. I didn’t like the bait and switch sales tactics. All the, “I have to go call someone” business. The sales experience left me with a slimy feeling overall. I am replacing a system and going with a different company for that. I will get better branded equipment, a better warranty, and for a lower price.
Returned to the house to replace bad blower motor , for the upstairs system. Replaced motor and inspected system. Checked pressures, amperage on motor and compressor, filter, drain line, temperature differential and visual inspection. System is working properly at this visit.
Troubleshoot electrical issue.
New GFCI outlet.
Redid connection at box in bathroom, replaced a timer.
1 System Inspection Performed inspection on zone system that serves the second and third floor. I cycled the system on from each thermostat to ensure the dampers were operating properly. At this time, the dampers are operating properly, but could fail at any time due to age and could possibly have an intermittent problem. The system is currently making a 20° temperature split and operating properly. The condenser coil was extremely dirty, I recommended having a professional cleaning gun on this and the homeowner approved. Took temperature and humidity readings in all rooms on second floor since this was the floor they felt was struggling. Temperature and humidity levels are good for the ambient temperature to be 80° and 80% humidity. The system is operating to its best ability given its age, condition, and improper application. This system is single-stage, builder-grade equipment and is not designed to support a zoned application. Installing zoning on this type of system can lead to i

T.E. Installed a toilet for this business on 8/21/26. During the install, the technician noted that the stop valve is not fully closing and thus not properly stopping the water. Additionally, there is also a leak coming from somewhere around the toilet. Upon arrival, I found the stop valve to be an older style multi turn stop valve. The stop valve has worn out throughout years of usage, and thus, it will not fully stop the water. I found the source of the leak. The leak is coming from the supply line, and where it connects to the fill valve on the toilet. The supply line appears older. Disconnected and removed failed supply line. Cut out and removed failed stop valve. Cleaned copper to prep for new valve installation. Installed new press quarter turn stop valve on 1/2” copper. Installed new stainless steel braided supply line. This toilet has a slightly smaller full valve shank, and an adapter on this shank. I connected the new stainless steel braided supply line to the adapter. Pres
Upon arrival customer stated that there was water spot on the ceiling, emergency drain pan did not have any water in drain pan, p trap is starting to get clogged, wet spots on ceiling are not below drain line, water leaking is not coming from HVAC system, system is a little low on refrigerant subcooling is at 1 degree, subcooling should be closer to 10 degrees, delta T temperature drop looks good, cleared drain line, also poured water down drain line to test drain. Also added 3 lbs of R410A refrigerant to get Subcooling correct, explained to customer that there may be small leak inside of the system drain line is seating and will need to be insulated, quoted insulating drain line, customer stated they would review estimates and get back with us for repairs
Installed one new dedicated branch circuit from the main floor electrical panel, including a new AFCI circuit breaker. The new circuit was routed to a junction box in the attic to supply a new receptacle above the fireplace. The receptacle was installed using EMT conduit and a surface-mounted electrical box, located a minimum of 12 inches from the fireplace opening to maintain the required clearance. The existing Ring floodlight was disconnected from its current junction box and rerouted to a new dedicated junction box supplied from the new attic junction box. The existing Ring floodlight was reconnected and tested to verify proper operation upon completion. All required wiring, EMT conduit, fittings, electrical boxes, devices, mounting hardware, terminations, and testing were included to provide a complete and code-compliant installation. The work was completed under the assumption that the existing electrical system had adequate capacity for the new load and that no concealed condi
