HVAC Service FAQs
The average cost to install or replace a home air conditioning system in the Atlanta, GA area is around $7,500. The typical range is from $6,500 - $12,500 because the price is determined by a number of factors, including the square footage of your home and SEER rating needed for your specific home. The make, model, size and efficiency rating of the unit chosen are also factors. Last but certainly not least, the brand of the HVAC unit and any extras, including zoning, smart thermostat, etc. have to be factored in.
On average, central air conditioning repairs in the Atlanta, GA area cost about $750. The low end could be as little as $150 for a thermostat fix and could go as high as $2,500 for something more complex. How much you should pay for a home AC repair depends almost entirely on what needs to be fixed. A simple fan fix will cost much less than a compressor repair, for instance. A professional HVAC technician will be able to provide you with a more accurate estimate and pricing.
Lack of regular maintenance causes more problems associated with home air conditioning systems in Atlanta than anything else. Another common issue is refrigerant leaks, which can cause the unit to lose its cooling power. Other problems can include electrical issues such as faulty wiring or a malfunctioning thermostat, which can prevent the unit from turning on or properly regulating the temperature. You can avoid most AC problems with regular and seasonal HVAC maintenance because this will address any issues, as soon as they arise, to keep your AC unit running efficiently and avoid costly repairs.
It depends on the specific issues with the unit and the overall condition of the AC unit. Generally, if a 20-year-old AC unit is experiencing major problems such as compressor failure or refrigerant leaks, it may be more cost-effective to replace the unit rather than investing in costly repairs over time. Older units are not as energy-efficient as newer HVAC models, meaning that it costs you more to run the unit. Check your energy bills monthly and ask for advice on the most cost-effective and energy-efficient solution. This will help you determine whether to repair or replace your AC unit.
The #1 reason your AC unit is not cooling your Atlanta area home is your air filters are dirty. Clogged air filters can restrict airflow, reducing your unit's ability to cool the air in your home. Some other reasons could include low refrigerant which won’t allow the air to cool properly. A malfunctioning thermostat can prevent your AC unit from turning on or regulating the temperature properly. Blocked or dirty condenser coils on the outside unit can become dirty, reducing its ability to dissipate heat. One last thing to check would be a clogged drain line. Your AC drain line can get clogged with mold, mildew, and debris, preventing the unit from properly draining the condensation, which causes the evaporator coil to freeze up and not cool properly.

Tankless Water Heater Repair & Installation Services
Tankless hot water heaters are a great choice for those who live in tight spaces, such as smaller kitchen or bathroom enclosures.
Compared to tank water heaters, tankless water heater systems offer higher efficiency, lower energy bills, endless hot water, extra space in your home (they don't take up as much space as a tank) and usually longer lifespans (15+ years compared to 10-12 years). In order to save money and energy, a tankless water heater system is the perfect choice.
The installation of this type is much simpler than traditional tanks because there's no need to install plumbing pipes under your sink! TE Certified can help you decide what size would work best with the available room space and power supply near where it'll be installed. Whether indoors near an electric outlet on wall socket/surfaces close enough so that electrical circuits won't become crossed during use, or outside we'll show you the options that you have.
Customer satisfaction is our number one priority, and we want to do everything we can to ensure you and your family stay comfortable all year round.
Call for easy scheduling.
Plumbing FAQs
If you know where your main water supply is located, turn if off and check the meter. If it is still changing, you know the leak is between your house and outside meter. If there are none inside (and this might seem obvious), then it's likely coming from somewhere else close by - like at least one other faucet or pipe nearby!
A leak is sometimes very obvious; other times you could have a leak for months and not know it. There are a few things to look out for if you suspect a leak in your Atlanta area home:
- Look at your water bill to see if your usage has gone up with no apparent reason.
- Any musty smells could indicate a leak that has led to mold/mildew.
- Any signs of wall, ceiling or floor damage, including stains, warping or bubbling.
Professional plumbers can do a thorough inspection of your home and grounds to determine if you have a water leak.

Arrived on site after the homeowner reported that the existing kitchen faucet had very low water pressure. After inspecting the fixture, informed the homeowner that the issue was likely internal to the faucet and that replacement was the recommended solution. With the homeowner's approval, removed the existing two-handle kitchen faucet and installed a new single-handle Delta kitchen faucet. While completing the repair, also replaced the left-side basket strainer to ensure proper function and provide a reliable seal. After installation, restored the water supply and thoroughly tested all connections and fixtures. Verified that the new faucet is operating with proper water pressure and that the basket strainer is sealing correctly. Confirmed there are no leaks at the faucet, supply connections, or basket strainer, and the kitchen plumbing is functioning properly at this time.
We wired in a new location outlet in the upper cabinet in the kitchen for the microwave to plug into. We came off the load side of the GFCI device straight down to provide shock prevention per 210.8 of the NEC. We remounted the microwave and plugged it into and tested to ensure it is working. This device is located on circuit #9 in the main panel.

Came in today for a no cooling call. When inspecting system found electrical components at the outdoor had failed. Also outdoor and indoor coil were full of dirt and debris causing system to overheat and damaging components. Outdoor condensers are also way to close to each other causing the heat to cycle back and specially if coils and not fully cleaned and clear would cause damage to unit long term, disconnects are also not up to code. Costumer does not have flood protection. Let costumer know about this issues and presented options. Costumer decided to move forward with repairs. Work was done and system, system is now working properly. Thank you for choosing TE Certified!
I came out to install a new chandelier in the living room, install a ceiling fan in the bedroom to replace the old one. Unfortunately this was an old fiberglass box and we only use metal boxes for ceiling fans as per code so I had to replace that old box. I also replaced the outlet in the bathroom with one that you supplied and added the necessary so that it would be flush. I checked the ceiling fans in the basement and they just needed the GFCI outlet to be reset. Most likely it tripped because of the astonishing amount of rain we’ve had, but the outlet still looks to be in good shape. Thank you for using tea certified electrical! Veaya
Troubleshot garage outlets and garage door opener not working. Installed four 6in recessed wafer lights where existing flush mount fixtures were, two in the garage and two in the primary suite closet.

Quoted coil replacement as well. Did inform customer if outdoor coil was leaking the system will struggle at some point to keep up but refrigerant pressures were good at this time. Completed repairs, tested equipment, finding all operating normally.
Tech was out for cooling. The following is what tech came a crossed on visit. Emergency drain pan is full of water. This is due to a clogged drain line. There is no safety switches on the evaporator coil. Nor is there a wet switch I. Emergency drain. However there is a safe guard but will only shut system off when emergency drain pan is full of water. Drain line is needing replaced. Today I responded to a no cool call. After diagnosing the system, I found that the dual run capacitor had completely failed and was not providing any capacitance to either the compressor or condenser fan motor. This prevented the outdoor condenser from operating and stopped the system for removing any heat from the home. I explained my finance to the customer, and they approved replacing the fail capacitor. I also recommended and installed a hard start kit to reduce the compressor, startup stress, and provide additional starting torque, helping extend the compressors lifespan and improve reliability. After completing the repairs, thoroughly tested the system. The condenser started and operated normally, refrigerant pressures were within range, and the system is now cooling properly with no further issues. Customer is happy.
No cooling call, upon arrival outdoor unit was not running, checked for power and found that bottom of contactor did have 240 volts however top of contactor was not receiving 240 volts, contactor is bad and will need to be replaced, checked capacitor, capacitor is out of tolerance rating, condenser coil is dirty, blower wheel is dirty, evaporator coil is also dirty. Likely due to not having correct filter size installed, system does not have any flood protection installed, recommended wet switch and SS2 float switch, compressor is also overamping recommended hardstart kit for system to help lower amp draw, there are also some low voltage wires going to outdoor unit that need to be repaired, drain line also needs to be extended so water does not drain onto electrical components, customer did sign up for homecare, preformed one homecare visit today also changed 1-16x20x1 filter, customer decided to go with option A to get the system running today and will review other estimates and will

Arrived on site and confirmed the homeowner's approval to replace a failed section of the water line and install a new angle stop. The damaged section of piping was removed, and a new section of pipe was installed along with a new angle stop valve to restore a secure and reliable water supply connection. After the installation was completed, the repaired line and new valve were thoroughly tested under operating water pressure. No leaks were found, and the new angle stop functioned properly. Water service was fully restored to the fixture, and the repair was confirmed to be operating as intended at the time of departure. The homeowner was informed that no drywall repair or replacement is included as part of the plumbing repair. The plumbing work was completed successfully, with no leaks present at the conclusion of the service, and any necessary drywall restoration remains the homeo

Showed her the operations of how to turn the water on and off. Permit will be submitted for inspection later time this week or next week. We are all set here and there are no other plumbing issues in the home.
Today I arrived to the property, and was able to perform a camera inspection for a homebuyer. I did a thorough assessment prior to starting the work to ensure there was no outdoor clean out, but both the home seller and myself were unable to find an access point outside. I then moved onto the next step of going inside and pulling a toilet. The angle stop was having trouble turning off, but did work. The 1st foot and a half of piping is PVC, and then it transitions into cast-iron for the remaining run up to the county tap. The cast-iron‘s condition was poor and bellies were observed on the trunk line. The home was built in 1964, which would make this cast-iron 62 years old. The recommendation prior to moving in observing what appeared to be a potential backup along with bellies would be replacement of all of the inside cast-iron. I was unable to push past the 52 foot mark because the cast-iron had numerous 90° bends in the point I was unable to push past was a 90 - 90 loop on corroded c
I replaced a GFI with a combination device to allow the disposal to work off of a switch on the counter top GFI device. I also added an outlet under the sink for the disposal whip.
I recently had an EV charger installed by TE Certified after comparing several vendors, and I’m glad I chose them. I found that the issue was just with the toilet. I gave the customer multiple options and they chose to Have the toilet cleared with a closet auger. I ran the auger down the toilet clearing the blockage. I tested the toilet throughly with no signs of a blockage.
