HVAC Service FAQs
The average cost to install or replace a home air conditioning system in the Atlanta, GA area is around $7,500. The typical range is from $6,500 - $12,500 because the price is determined by a number of factors, including the square footage of your home and SEER rating needed for your specific home. The make, model, size and efficiency rating of the unit chosen are also factors. Last but certainly not least, the brand of the HVAC unit and any extras, including zoning, smart thermostat, etc. have to be factored in.
On average, central air conditioning repairs in the Atlanta, GA area cost about $750. The low end could be as little as $150 for a thermostat fix and could go as high as $2,500 for something more complex. How much you should pay for a home AC repair depends almost entirely on what needs to be fixed. A simple fan fix will cost much less than a compressor repair, for instance. A professional HVAC technician will be able to provide you with a more accurate estimate and pricing.
Lack of regular maintenance causes more problems associated with home air conditioning systems in Atlanta than anything else. Another common issue is refrigerant leaks, which can cause the unit to lose its cooling power. Other problems can include electrical issues such as faulty wiring or a malfunctioning thermostat, which can prevent the unit from turning on or properly regulating the temperature. You can avoid most AC problems with regular and seasonal HVAC maintenance because this will address any issues, as soon as they arise, to keep your AC unit running efficiently and avoid costly repairs.
It depends on the specific issues with the unit and the overall condition of the AC unit. Generally, if a 20-year-old AC unit is experiencing major problems such as compressor failure or refrigerant leaks, it may be more cost-effective to replace the unit rather than investing in costly repairs over time. Older units are not as energy-efficient as newer HVAC models, meaning that it costs you more to run the unit. Check your energy bills monthly and ask for advice on the most cost-effective and energy-efficient solution. This will help you determine whether to repair or replace your AC unit.
The #1 reason your AC unit is not cooling your Atlanta area home is your air filters are dirty. Clogged air filters can restrict airflow, reducing your unit's ability to cool the air in your home. Some other reasons could include low refrigerant which won’t allow the air to cool properly. A malfunctioning thermostat can prevent your AC unit from turning on or regulating the temperature properly. Blocked or dirty condenser coils on the outside unit can become dirty, reducing its ability to dissipate heat. One last thing to check would be a clogged drain line. Your AC drain line can get clogged with mold, mildew, and debris, preventing the unit from properly draining the condensation, which causes the evaporator coil to freeze up and not cool properly.

Tankless Water Heater Repair & Installation Services
Tankless hot water heaters are a great choice for those who live in tight spaces, such as smaller kitchen or bathroom enclosures.
Compared to tank water heaters, tankless water heater systems offer higher efficiency, lower energy bills, endless hot water, extra space in your home (they don't take up as much space as a tank) and usually longer lifespans (15+ years compared to 10-12 years). In order to save money and energy, a tankless water heater system is the perfect choice.
The installation of this type is much simpler than traditional tanks because there's no need to install plumbing pipes under your sink! TE Certified can help you decide what size would work best with the available room space and power supply near where it'll be installed. Whether indoors near an electric outlet on wall socket/surfaces close enough so that electrical circuits won't become crossed during use, or outside we'll show you the options that you have.
Customer satisfaction is our number one priority, and we want to do everything we can to ensure you and your family stay comfortable all year round.

Plumbing FAQs
If you know where your main water supply is located, turn if off and check the meter. If it is still changing, you know the leak is between your house and outside meter. If there are none inside (and this might seem obvious), then it's likely coming from somewhere else close by - like at least one other faucet or pipe nearby!
A leak is sometimes very obvious; other times you could have a leak for months and not know it. There are a few things to look out for if you suspect a leak in your Atlanta area home:
- Look at your water bill to see if your usage has gone up with no apparent reason.
- Any musty smells could indicate a leak that has led to mold/mildew.
- Any signs of wall, ceiling or floor damage, including stains, warping or bubbling.
Professional plumbers can do a thorough inspection of your home and grounds to determine if you have a water leak.

Upon arrival customer stated that heat stopped working yesterday, stated that she has been having remodeling work done in basement and that filter was very dirty when they changed it and noticed system was in a lockout. Found system still in a lockout and had to reset power to system in order for unit to work again. Restarted system and everything came on. Checked over all operations of system and everything was working with no issues, all zone dampers were opening properly and unit is heating. Unit does need a Uv light sent estimate to customer.
Very professional and responsive to what needed to be done. Diligent and thorough with the job. Very pleased with work done.
Upon are customer stated that heating system was not working properly and turning on and off. After input of 27 year old system found that system is over heating due to inducer draft motor and single wall flue pipe. Blower wheel is very dirty. Gave customer estimate on repairs for system do not recommend due to age and condition of system. There can still be more issues even with repairs being made and there is no warranty on repairs. Do recommend speaking with our install supervisor about updating system, customer is interested in getting a quote for a full system replacement and also needs adjustments for system due to bathroom being built in the area. Customer approved to speak with install supervisor before making any repairs to system.
I came out tonight due to the furnace on the main level next to the bar not working. The circuit in question is panel “A” circuit number 1&3 and is a 2p60amp breaker and when I used my meter to test for voltage I noticed that L1 would drop then come back on. I went to the disconnect that is located in the closet and tested line side and found 240v and the unit came on then went back off. I determined that the breaker was faulty,t so I supplied and installed a new breaker and tested power on both ends and when i put back together the unit came back on.
Superb service, the best! Cannot say enough good things about him. Outstanding service and excellent customer relationship skills. He is a leader.
Install 2 ton 18 seer2 high efficiency air conditioner, all aluminum cased evaporator coil, 80% efficiency 60,000 BTU two stage gas furnace, wi-fi touchscreen thermostat for main floor in crawlspace.
Troubleshoot electrical issue. ISSUE: breaker tripping when auxiliary heat is on LOCATION: attic heat pump FINDINGS: I checked the circuit for continuity that would cause a short and found nothing. I checked connections in the disconnect and furnace and all were tight and properly connected. The connections in the panel were tight. The breaker for the circuit was reading 0volts between both hot legs. We replaced the breaker in the fall of last year so I replaced it under warranty. After replacing breaker heat pump was pulling 21 amps on normal heat and 42 amps on auxiliary heat. It ran on full blast on auxiliary heat for about 30 minutes with no tripping. RESOLUTION: replaced breaker under warranty and informed customer that if the issue persists to have hvac check the unit for faults

Existing service had been destroyed by fire, new service will need to be built and installed. Install new 200a underground service with meter/main disconnect installed and grounding system updated outside. Install new service cable from outside to inside where panel is located in garage on opposite wall. Update grounding system with two new ground rods and water bond. Install new 200a 54 circuit main lug panel in garage, eliminating need for additional sub panel. 3 or 4 circuits above sub panel have been damaged and will be junction and reinstalled with good wiring. Install (24) dual function AFCI/GFCI breakers in main panel. Install surge protector at main panel. Install (5) new BRK SC5 smoke detectors at required locations including (3) bedrooms. Permit Fees. After inspection, we cannot guarantee integrity of existing gear(panel). It is our recommendation that it be replaced immediately. For this reason new service and panel upgrade is required. After attempting to turn pow

Tech was out today for no heating. System is a zoned unit. Controlling 2 floors. Found fuse blown in air handler , Tech used a popper to find if voltage is lost at air handler or outdoor unit. When outdoor unit kicks on , low voltage popper tripped. Tech was unable to check inside condenser unit due to cage around and no lock. Cage is screwed in . Customer I had a couple sinks giving them issues of slow draining, and one of the sinks didn’t drain at all upstairs so I gave a option to clean all of the sinks and the customer ended up wanting to just clean the sink that wasn’t draining at all so I took apart the drain underneath and removed a lot of buildup from over the years of having toothpaste and soap. Go down the drain after cleaning the drains and testing the drains is flowing perfectly with no leaks and no backups
Main/Upstairs system - No Heat System not heating due to a failed gas valve. I went over a few options to resolve the problem and also went over the age, condition, several other weak components, and how this system is not rated to utilize zoning and how the ultimate solution would be to update the equipment to a system designed to operate zoning. At this time the homeowner requested we replace the gas valve to get the system back up and running as the house is actively on the market to be sold. I replaced the gas valve and tested the system. System is heating to its best ability at this time. Thank you for choosing T.E. Certified, have a great weekend!
I'd request Mauricio again and refer TE to my friends
