HVAC Service FAQs
The average cost to install or replace a home air conditioning system in the Atlanta, GA area is around $7,500. The typical range is from $6,500 - $12,500 because the price is determined by a number of factors, including the square footage of your home and SEER rating needed for your specific home. The make, model, size and efficiency rating of the unit chosen are also factors. Last but certainly not least, the brand of the HVAC unit and any extras, including zoning, smart thermostat, etc. have to be factored in.
On average, central air conditioning repairs in the Atlanta, GA area cost about $750. The low end could be as little as $150 for a thermostat fix and could go as high as $2,500 for something more complex. How much you should pay for a home AC repair depends almost entirely on what needs to be fixed. A simple fan fix will cost much less than a compressor repair, for instance. A professional HVAC technician will be able to provide you with a more accurate estimate and pricing.
Lack of regular maintenance causes more problems associated with home air conditioning systems in Atlanta than anything else. Another common issue is refrigerant leaks, which can cause the unit to lose its cooling power. Other problems can include electrical issues such as faulty wiring or a malfunctioning thermostat, which can prevent the unit from turning on or properly regulating the temperature. You can avoid most AC problems with regular and seasonal HVAC maintenance because this will address any issues, as soon as they arise, to keep your AC unit running efficiently and avoid costly repairs.
It depends on the specific issues with the unit and the overall condition of the AC unit. Generally, if a 20-year-old AC unit is experiencing major problems such as compressor failure or refrigerant leaks, it may be more cost-effective to replace the unit rather than investing in costly repairs over time. Older units are not as energy-efficient as newer HVAC models, meaning that it costs you more to run the unit. Check your energy bills monthly and ask for advice on the most cost-effective and energy-efficient solution. This will help you determine whether to repair or replace your AC unit.
The #1 reason your AC unit is not cooling your Atlanta area home is your air filters are dirty. Clogged air filters can restrict airflow, reducing your unit's ability to cool the air in your home. Some other reasons could include low refrigerant which won’t allow the air to cool properly. A malfunctioning thermostat can prevent your AC unit from turning on or regulating the temperature properly. Blocked or dirty condenser coils on the outside unit can become dirty, reducing its ability to dissipate heat. One last thing to check would be a clogged drain line. Your AC drain line can get clogged with mold, mildew, and debris, preventing the unit from properly draining the condensation, which causes the evaporator coil to freeze up and not cool properly.

Tankless Water Heater Repair & Installation Services
Tankless hot water heaters are a great choice for those who live in tight spaces, such as smaller kitchen or bathroom enclosures.
Compared to tank water heaters, tankless water heater systems offer higher efficiency, lower energy bills, endless hot water, extra space in your home (they don't take up as much space as a tank) and usually longer lifespans (15+ years compared to 10-12 years). In order to save money and energy, a tankless water heater system is the perfect choice.
The installation of this type is much simpler than traditional tanks because there's no need to install plumbing pipes under your sink! TE Certified can help you decide what size would work best with the available room space and power supply near where it'll be installed. Whether indoors near an electric outlet on wall socket/surfaces close enough so that electrical circuits won't become crossed during use, or outside we'll show you the options that you have.
Customer satisfaction is our number one priority, and we want to do everything we can to ensure you and your family stay comfortable all year round.
Call for easy scheduling.
Plumbing FAQs
If you know where your main water supply is located, turn if off and check the meter. If it is still changing, you know the leak is between your house and outside meter. If there are none inside (and this might seem obvious), then it's likely coming from somewhere else close by - like at least one other faucet or pipe nearby!
A leak is sometimes very obvious; other times you could have a leak for months and not know it. There are a few things to look out for if you suspect a leak in your Atlanta area home:
- Look at your water bill to see if your usage has gone up with no apparent reason.
- Any musty smells could indicate a leak that has led to mold/mildew.
- Any signs of wall, ceiling or floor damage, including stains, warping or bubbling.
Professional plumbers can do a thorough inspection of your home and grounds to determine if you have a water leak.

Job Locations and Reviews
Customer is experiencing mainline blockage affecting one side of the house only. Pulled toilet from second floor toilet to attempt to clear blockage. Could not clear blockage with k400 machine. At one instance cable for binded up and stuck in drain. I was able to get cable out, and clear the initial water that was sitting in laundry sink. After running water I’m fixtures, blockage came back. Could not clear blockage afterwards. Toilet is sitting on a bad flange, temporary set toilet on new wax ring and tried to get best fitment. Recommended to customer that we also get this fixed so toilet can sit flush to floor and not wobble. Going to schedule camera inspection to investigate further and provide a permanent solution. Cleared a partial blockage in basement bathroom pTrap assembly.
Javier Reyes and partner with TE Certified were very helpful, thorough, professional. Another great job accomplished!

Run k400 cable in floor drain in attempt to clear blockage. Customer was experiencing a mainline blockage affecting whole house. Was able to clear blockage from floor drain in basement. Ran k400 cable in drain to clear. Was successfully able to clear, setting up camera inspection to investigate further. Customer said he will email me within the next hour in getting in contact with his wife so we can setup a camera inspection to prevent blockage from occurring again.
Install the shower drain for a tile shower
I was called out to Elyse’s house for a heating issue. Elyse moved in yesterday so we performed a thorough evaluation. During the evaluation we discovered the heat exchanger has failed making the system unsafe to use for heating, the inducer is rusting through the seal, the wheel needs cleaned, the breaker for the ac is half the size it should be, the high voltage for the furnace has an additional wire piggy backed onto it, the flood protection needs updating, the filters are very dirty, and the system has significant water stains throughout the unit indicating many issues through its life which may mean the ac also is having problems but I cannot verify as it is too cold out. Due to the cost of potential repairs, reliability, and lack of warranty replacement is a viable option to update everything to today’s standards.
Today I identified which circuit controlled the master bedroom and master bathroom lights and capped it off for safety.
Came out for customer having Nest tstat issue in master bedroom. System is 2012 Amana AC/80% Furnace with 2 zones. Found issue was how wiring was configured behind nest tstat. Reconfigured wiring by switching R and W wires. Red wire not long enough to reach R terminal so swapped with W behind tstat and at zone board. System now working, verified heating and cooling operational. This system also has another zone at top floor. Nest tstat for this floor is not working. Verified getting proper voltage but not coming on, recommend replacing. 16x25x4 filter still clean. Cleared drain line. No wet switch or secondary float switch in place, recommend installing for added flood protection. Does have emergency pan with switch. Also indoor coil does not have UV protection, spoke about APCO-X and strongly recommend to combat microbial growth and unwanted odors. Outdoor unit found dirt and debris, recommend chemical washing. Main recommendations were to sign up for our Home Care plan for 2 systems
Repaire repaired leak on main water service at the meter. Install new nipple on the meter along with a dual check valve. Also provided the customer with courtesy water shut off directly in front of the water meter for the city. The homeowner will need to contact the city of Atlanta as a secondary leak has been uncover on the cities side.

No heat , due to a disconnected and broken pressure switch tubing, I cut short the tubing and reconnected to the pressure switch, and heat works. Inspected heat exchanger and entire system, . Heat exchange has some hot spots , discolored and rusted. I didn’t find any crack at this time, but it can occur anytime. Heat exchanger is compromised. System is in crawl space, siting on the ground, with no drain pan, or ny type of flood protection. Also, blower wheel is very dirty. System is 10 years old and out of warranty. Sent estimate for potential repairs , it, at this age, best option would be to upgrade the system, with 10 years warranty and WiFi thermostat. System is working properly at this time. We will credit 156,00 back if customer upgrade the system.

Today Matthew has us out here to install customer supplied kitchen faucet and customer supplied RO filtration system for the kitchen sink. Also replaced stop valves for the kitchen faucet, RO faucet and icemaker line. I test the work, checked for leaks and found no issues with the work that was done today. Performed a walk-through with Matthew and showed him the functions of the faucets and is happy with the work.

Troubleshoot
Came out today to perform one system HVAC service call. Upon arrival, customer stated they were not receiving heat to the upstairs level, but the other levels were heating just fine. Upon testing the system found that the AC would work, but the heat would not and the damper for zone three would stay closed. upon inspection of the unit, found the white wire to be unplugged from the zone board. After plugging wire back in heat came back on, and the system was functioning properly upon further inspection of the system found there to be biological growth inside the system and on the indoor coil. upon customer request performed one system HVAC home care. Upon inspection, found the blower wheel to be clean, all major heating elements were working properly, the drain line was not clogged and clean. At this time system is up and running properly gave customer the option for UV protection. Customer declined all protection at this time. At this time, there are no further concerns.
1998 Trane System Came out to look for a gas leak, gas company said they detected gas inside of the furnace. I performed a thorough gas leak search using both my leak detector and pro bubble. No gas leaks were found today. During the inspection while checking inside the furnace I did observe several cracks in the heat exchanger. Some of the cracks are rather large, the heat exchanger being cracked makes the equipment no longer safe to heat the home due to these cracks and holes will let out carbon monoxide. I also observed that there is an abundant amount of biological growth on the coil and coil pan. The evaporator coil is also completely rusted out. This system operates on R-22 refrigerant, R-22 refrigerant is no longer available due to the Government Mandated Phase out of the refrigerant that took place 1/1/2020. Due to the age, condition, and parts availability for a 27 year old system, I recommended updating this equipment. The homeowner opted to have our install supervisor come
