HVAC Service FAQs
The average cost to install or replace a home air conditioning system in the Atlanta, GA area is around $7,500. The typical range is from $6,500 - $12,500 because the price is determined by a number of factors, including the square footage of your home and SEER rating needed for your specific home. The make, model, size and efficiency rating of the unit chosen are also factors. Last but certainly not least, the brand of the HVAC unit and any extras, including zoning, smart thermostat, etc. have to be factored in.
On average, central air conditioning repairs in the Atlanta, GA area cost about $750. The low end could be as little as $150 for a thermostat fix and could go as high as $2,500 for something more complex. How much you should pay for a home AC repair depends almost entirely on what needs to be fixed. A simple fan fix will cost much less than a compressor repair, for instance. A professional HVAC technician will be able to provide you with a more accurate estimate and pricing.
Lack of regular maintenance causes more problems associated with home air conditioning systems in Atlanta than anything else. Another common issue is refrigerant leaks, which can cause the unit to lose its cooling power. Other problems can include electrical issues such as faulty wiring or a malfunctioning thermostat, which can prevent the unit from turning on or properly regulating the temperature. You can avoid most AC problems with regular and seasonal HVAC maintenance because this will address any issues, as soon as they arise, to keep your AC unit running efficiently and avoid costly repairs.
It depends on the specific issues with the unit and the overall condition of the AC unit. Generally, if a 20-year-old AC unit is experiencing major problems such as compressor failure or refrigerant leaks, it may be more cost-effective to replace the unit rather than investing in costly repairs over time. Older units are not as energy-efficient as newer HVAC models, meaning that it costs you more to run the unit. Check your energy bills monthly and ask for advice on the most cost-effective and energy-efficient solution. This will help you determine whether to repair or replace your AC unit.
The #1 reason your AC unit is not cooling your Atlanta area home is your air filters are dirty. Clogged air filters can restrict airflow, reducing your unit's ability to cool the air in your home. Some other reasons could include low refrigerant which won’t allow the air to cool properly. A malfunctioning thermostat can prevent your AC unit from turning on or regulating the temperature properly. Blocked or dirty condenser coils on the outside unit can become dirty, reducing its ability to dissipate heat. One last thing to check would be a clogged drain line. Your AC drain line can get clogged with mold, mildew, and debris, preventing the unit from properly draining the condensation, which causes the evaporator coil to freeze up and not cool properly.

Tankless Water Heater Repair & Installation Services
Tankless hot water heaters are a great choice for those who live in tight spaces, such as smaller kitchen or bathroom enclosures.
Compared to tank water heaters, tankless water heater systems offer higher efficiency, lower energy bills, endless hot water, extra space in your home (they don't take up as much space as a tank) and usually longer lifespans (15+ years compared to 10-12 years). In order to save money and energy, a tankless water heater system is the perfect choice.
The installation of this type is much simpler than traditional tanks because there's no need to install plumbing pipes under your sink! TE Certified can help you decide what size would work best with the available room space and power supply near where it'll be installed. Whether indoors near an electric outlet on wall socket/surfaces close enough so that electrical circuits won't become crossed during use, or outside we'll show you the options that you have.
Customer satisfaction is our number one priority, and we want to do everything we can to ensure you and your family stay comfortable all year round.
Call for easy scheduling.
Plumbing FAQs
If you know where your main water supply is located, turn if off and check the meter. If it is still changing, you know the leak is between your house and outside meter. If there are none inside (and this might seem obvious), then it's likely coming from somewhere else close by - like at least one other faucet or pipe nearby!
A leak is sometimes very obvious; other times you could have a leak for months and not know it. There are a few things to look out for if you suspect a leak in your Atlanta area home:
- Look at your water bill to see if your usage has gone up with no apparent reason.
- Any musty smells could indicate a leak that has led to mold/mildew.
- Any signs of wall, ceiling or floor damage, including stains, warping or bubbling.
Professional plumbers can do a thorough inspection of your home and grounds to determine if you have a water leak.

Also installed shutoff valve for the ice maker line; parallel to the hot water shut off. Everything tested and all works as it should. Tested the refrigerator and discovered that there’s an issue with the ice maker itself and doesn’t stop the water from flowing. Customer is reaching out to an appliance company.

Troubleshoot and replace customer supplied GFI in master bathroom.
Met with customer and spoke with her regarding the issue they are experiencing. Customer showed us inside and stated that the sinks in the home are draining slowly. We began by inspecting the kitchen sink and powder room on the main level of the home. The powder bathroom is working well and the kitchen sink disposal is showing signs of rusting through and the p-trap had signs that it previously leaked as well. We then went upstairs and inspected the guest and master bathrooms. The guest bathroom sink is draining slowly. The master tub and sink are also draining slowly. The master bath sink is leaking from the sink basin and we informed the customer that the sink will likely need to be replaced. We also inspected the water heater. The water piping for the water heater is CPVC and put together using sharkbite fittings. The expansion tank is also unsupported and is bending the CPVC pipe. We informed the customer of our findings and recommended a service plumber comes out to make repairs a

For this job, I added an ev charger
Replaced old locked up garbage disposal with new customer supplied 3/4 hp disposal.
Came out because the customer was concerned about water buildup in his ductwork. After fully inspecting the ductwork with my inspection camera and moisture detector we found that there was in fact moisture issues. We checked the static pressure that is supposed to be .50 WC reading a 1.8 WC. High static pressure in an HVAC system directly causes moisture problems and reduced humidity removal. Excessive pressure, often caused by clogged filters or undersized ducts, slows airflow, leading to reduced moisture extraction by the evaporator coil, potential coil freezing, and increased risk of mold or mildew growth in ductwork. Because the system has low airflow the moisture collected within the ductwork and froze up at the run along the outer wall. Recommendations: Repair all damaged ductwork and relocate the ductwork that runs along the outer wall so it doesn’t freeze up again. We also would like to have the ductwork cleaned and disinfected inside the house to prevent or kill any potentia
Very good
Upon arrival, customer notified me that he would like to have an option to have an inlet installed near his meter main combo. He stated that he wanted it to be rated for 50 A. We have provisions available in the existing meter disconnect. We will need to special order the interlock kit to complete the job. The inlet box will allow the customer to feed power from his generator into his home, allowing him to utilize critical loads up to a 50 amp capacity. Customer and I had a conversation stating that this will not power up the entire home and I provided an option with whole home generator with automatic transfer switch. Customer stated that he did not want to make an investment and something like that because they do not lose power enough for it to yield to return. Installed 50 amp inlet box just to the right of the meter main combo. We re-labeled circuits so they are accurate at the meter main combo. The customer had a walk-through on how to utilize this equipment safely for future us
Replaced angle stop valve under wash sink at flower cutting station. The sink only supply’s cold water.
For this job I installed new gas valve and sediment trap. Customer wanted to use the existing gas line that was already in the area of the portable generator. Once installed I check for leaks and made sure the water heater fired up. Everything is working properly thanks for choosing TE certified.
We were charged $1250 to move a register a few feet. During the estimate it was made to sound like this was a big job, but he was done in two hours, maybe less. No big equipment, just a cool $625 an hour. I think TE offers a high quality of service but I will have to look elsewhere if I keep getting gouged on price.
We are sorry to hear that your expectations were not completely met. Please reach out to us at 770-291-5566 so we can learn more.
