HVAC Service FAQs
The average cost to install or replace a home air conditioning system in the Atlanta, GA area is around $7,500. The typical range is from $6,500 - $12,500 because the price is determined by a number of factors, including the square footage of your home and SEER rating needed for your specific home. The make, model, size and efficiency rating of the unit chosen are also factors. Last but certainly not least, the brand of the HVAC unit and any extras, including zoning, smart thermostat, etc. have to be factored in.
On average, central air conditioning repairs in the Atlanta, GA area cost about $750. The low end could be as little as $150 for a thermostat fix and could go as high as $2,500 for something more complex. How much you should pay for a home AC repair depends almost entirely on what needs to be fixed. A simple fan fix will cost much less than a compressor repair, for instance. A professional HVAC technician will be able to provide you with a more accurate estimate and pricing.
Lack of regular maintenance causes more problems associated with home air conditioning systems in Atlanta than anything else. Another common issue is refrigerant leaks, which can cause the unit to lose its cooling power. Other problems can include electrical issues such as faulty wiring or a malfunctioning thermostat, which can prevent the unit from turning on or properly regulating the temperature. You can avoid most AC problems with regular and seasonal HVAC maintenance because this will address any issues, as soon as they arise, to keep your AC unit running efficiently and avoid costly repairs.
It depends on the specific issues with the unit and the overall condition of the AC unit. Generally, if a 20-year-old AC unit is experiencing major problems such as compressor failure or refrigerant leaks, it may be more cost-effective to replace the unit rather than investing in costly repairs over time. Older units are not as energy-efficient as newer HVAC models, meaning that it costs you more to run the unit. Check your energy bills monthly and ask for advice on the most cost-effective and energy-efficient solution. This will help you determine whether to repair or replace your AC unit.
The #1 reason your AC unit is not cooling your Atlanta area home is your air filters are dirty. Clogged air filters can restrict airflow, reducing your unit's ability to cool the air in your home. Some other reasons could include low refrigerant which won’t allow the air to cool properly. A malfunctioning thermostat can prevent your AC unit from turning on or regulating the temperature properly. Blocked or dirty condenser coils on the outside unit can become dirty, reducing its ability to dissipate heat. One last thing to check would be a clogged drain line. Your AC drain line can get clogged with mold, mildew, and debris, preventing the unit from properly draining the condensation, which causes the evaporator coil to freeze up and not cool properly.

Tankless Water Heater Repair & Installation Services
Tankless hot water heaters are a great choice for those who live in tight spaces, such as smaller kitchen or bathroom enclosures.
Compared to tank water heaters, tankless water heater systems offer higher efficiency, lower energy bills, endless hot water, extra space in your home (they don't take up as much space as a tank) and usually longer lifespans (15+ years compared to 10-12 years). In order to save money and energy, a tankless water heater system is the perfect choice.
The installation of this type is much simpler than traditional tanks because there's no need to install plumbing pipes under your sink! TE Certified can help you decide what size would work best with the available room space and power supply near where it'll be installed. Whether indoors near an electric outlet on wall socket/surfaces close enough so that electrical circuits won't become crossed during use, or outside we'll show you the options that you have.
Customer satisfaction is our number one priority, and we want to do everything we can to ensure you and your family stay comfortable all year round.
Call for easy scheduling.
Plumbing FAQs
If you know where your main water supply is located, turn if off and check the meter. If it is still changing, you know the leak is between your house and outside meter. If there are none inside (and this might seem obvious), then it's likely coming from somewhere else close by - like at least one other faucet or pipe nearby!
A leak is sometimes very obvious; other times you could have a leak for months and not know it. There are a few things to look out for if you suspect a leak in your Atlanta area home:
- Look at your water bill to see if your usage has gone up with no apparent reason.
- Any musty smells could indicate a leak that has led to mold/mildew.
- Any signs of wall, ceiling or floor damage, including stains, warping or bubbling.
Professional plumbers can do a thorough inspection of your home and grounds to determine if you have a water leak.

Met with customer and spoke with him regarding their current issue. Customer showed me upstairs to a guest bathroom and stated that while cleaning the toilet he dropped a Clorox scrubber into the toilet. Customer did not flush the toilet and attempted to reach in the toilet but was unable to find or retrieve the scrubber. Customer states all other fixtures are working properly at this time. I presented estimates to auger or pull the toilet and explained that I would try to pull the object out but it may push through and wash down the line and out of the home if it has not already. Customer understands and agreed to auger the toilet. After getting signature approval I began work. Made three full passes with the auger all the way through the toilet. Did not retrieve the object and it likely washed down the line and out of the system. Flushed toilet several times with and without toilet paper. Toilet is flushing properly at this time. Cleaned work area. I also inspected the customer’s wat

Arrived on site to troubleshoot high electricity bills and insufficient heating. Client has had some major work completed on the system in the last few months and have been unable to resolve the heating issues. Upon arrival the outdoor unit and heat strips were both active but temp rise was poor. Once outside we found suction was at 0psi and unit would cut off every few minutes in low pressure cutout. Standing pressure was fine at 160. We did a full inspection inside and out and fount the sensing bulb was overheated when replacing the compressor and dumped refrigerant from the sensing bulb, causing the outdoor TXV to close and drop suction pressure, leaving the outdoor unit useless for heat. We would need to replace the TXV, recover refrigerant, and add virgin refrigerant back into the system. Pressures and temp split in cooling were within spec which confirmed the outdoor TXV diagnosis. We have emailed estimates for Homecare and repairs to the TXV. Call complete.
Install surge protection at both main panels, pool panel disconnect, pool panel and ac panel. Installed new whip from transfer switch to ac panel to include a neutral. Added grounding bridge for low voltage grounding. Installed surge for cable lines.
Installed new circuit and Tesla charger on side of home.
Performed 2 furnace inspections. I cleaned the flame sensors. I caved the blower wheels and blower motor capacitors. I ran both furnaces and monitored the sequence of operations. Both furnaces were operating. I did do a heat exchanger inspection on the upstairs Trane furnace (2014 model). I did find that the exchangers are cracked and the eyelid rivet has popped off. The upstairs furnace (due to the failed heat exchangers) need to be replaced. I also found black biological growth in the upstairs supply plenum; UV light is recommended to treat the biological growth. I also recommend had water safety relay to prevent water damage to the home; if the AC system where to malfunction. On the mainfloor system I found that the blower motor capacitor is failing and needs to be replaced and the AC system also need water safety relay. I emailed estimates to the homeowners for the repairs mentioned above.
Put this job it was required to me to tap into a 1 inch fuel line to supply a new gas range at the customer provided. At the gain of access to our location we installed up piping in a valve. Tested for leaks and no leaks were found. All work is documented with photos. Current water pressure reading is 55 psi. A client is very satisfied with the surface that was provided today.
For this job I came out and installed a customer supplied instant hot water heater & a filter system under kitchen sink , I also reworked piping underneath sink and converted pipe from cpvc to copper. I also installed new angle stop valves and connected back to each supply line. I tested and checked for leaks and conducted a super clean up.
Upon arrival spoke with customer about a running toilet on the main level. Fill valve was set to high and running into the overflow. Adjusted fill valve as a courtesy. Water pressure to home was 100 psi. Replace zurn valve with a 1in watts 25aub, replaced expansion tank mounted to a bracket and added a valve on the cold inlet side of the tankless to isolate the unit for future repairs. Bled air from the system. Recirculation pump was plugged back in as well as the tankless. Water pressure was set to 65 psi.
Upon arrival customer stated that where was water by unit for downstairs system. Unit is 18 years old. After inspection of system found that condensation pump was cracking where tube connects had a small crack and water was coming out the side when the water would pump. Did full inspection of system found that blower wheel is very dirty, there was a lot of rusting inside system found that heat exchanger was cracked in several area, inside the heat exchanger is compromised, there is a lot of rusting inside the tubes. Turned gas off to furnace to the extent of damage in heat exchanger system not safe to run. Recommended updating system, customer approved to speak with install supervisor about updating downstairs system. Also recommended free estimate for upstairs, this system did have cooling issues last summer, customer would like quote for upstairs system as well. Customer approved to have condensation pump replaced today. Replaced and tested and system is still working for ac at this

HOA, sent her a meter device to be replaced, which customer agreed for me to install. I removed and took apart the meter and replaced it with the provided meter. Once I finished installing, I turned the water back on and checked all my fittings to ensure no issues, as well as ran water at the hose to confirm the meter was active.
Troubleshoot and repair 2 outlets that stopped working.
Came out for 2 system check on 2 2014 Lennox AC/Furnaces. Customer let me know they may plan on selling home soon. 1 system for main floor, other is a 2-zone system for 2nd and 3rd floors. Changed out 2 16x25x1 filters. Verified systems draining properly, float switches good, however recommend adding wet switches for TE Standard flood protection. For both systems found weak blower capacitors, no UV protection, pitted contactors, and slight debris on outdoor coils. Recommend proactively replacing capacitors and contactors. Recommend cleaning outdoor coils. Spoke about Blue Tube UV Lights and APCO-X for UV protection. Verified both systems heating properly. Second floor unit cooling properly at this time. Found main floor system not cooling well. It is low on r410a with also a low temperature split. To be able to pinpoint issue would need to conduct leak search then quote based on findings. Main recommendation is to have Install Supervisor come out to discuss new system options due to cu
