HVAC Service FAQs
The average cost to install or replace a home air conditioning system in the Atlanta, GA area is around $7,500. The typical range is from $6,500 - $12,500 because the price is determined by a number of factors, including the square footage of your home and SEER rating needed for your specific home. The make, model, size and efficiency rating of the unit chosen are also factors. Last but certainly not least, the brand of the HVAC unit and any extras, including zoning, smart thermostat, etc. have to be factored in.
On average, central air conditioning repairs in the Atlanta, GA area cost about $750. The low end could be as little as $150 for a thermostat fix and could go as high as $2,500 for something more complex. How much you should pay for a home AC repair depends almost entirely on what needs to be fixed. A simple fan fix will cost much less than a compressor repair, for instance. A professional HVAC technician will be able to provide you with a more accurate estimate and pricing.
Lack of regular maintenance causes more problems associated with home air conditioning systems in Atlanta than anything else. Another common issue is refrigerant leaks, which can cause the unit to lose its cooling power. Other problems can include electrical issues such as faulty wiring or a malfunctioning thermostat, which can prevent the unit from turning on or properly regulating the temperature. You can avoid most AC problems with regular and seasonal HVAC maintenance because this will address any issues, as soon as they arise, to keep your AC unit running efficiently and avoid costly repairs.
It depends on the specific issues with the unit and the overall condition of the AC unit. Generally, if a 20-year-old AC unit is experiencing major problems such as compressor failure or refrigerant leaks, it may be more cost-effective to replace the unit rather than investing in costly repairs over time. Older units are not as energy-efficient as newer HVAC models, meaning that it costs you more to run the unit. Check your energy bills monthly and ask for advice on the most cost-effective and energy-efficient solution. This will help you determine whether to repair or replace your AC unit.
The #1 reason your AC unit is not cooling your Atlanta area home is your air filters are dirty. Clogged air filters can restrict airflow, reducing your unit's ability to cool the air in your home. Some other reasons could include low refrigerant which won’t allow the air to cool properly. A malfunctioning thermostat can prevent your AC unit from turning on or regulating the temperature properly. Blocked or dirty condenser coils on the outside unit can become dirty, reducing its ability to dissipate heat. One last thing to check would be a clogged drain line. Your AC drain line can get clogged with mold, mildew, and debris, preventing the unit from properly draining the condensation, which causes the evaporator coil to freeze up and not cool properly.

Tankless Water Heater Repair & Installation Services
Tankless hot water heaters are a great choice for those who live in tight spaces, such as smaller kitchen or bathroom enclosures.
Compared to tank water heaters, tankless water heater systems offer higher efficiency, lower energy bills, endless hot water, extra space in your home (they don't take up as much space as a tank) and usually longer lifespans (15+ years compared to 10-12 years). In order to save money and energy, a tankless water heater system is the perfect choice.
The installation of this type is much simpler than traditional tanks because there's no need to install plumbing pipes under your sink! TE Certified can help you decide what size would work best with the available room space and power supply near where it'll be installed. Whether indoors near an electric outlet on wall socket/surfaces close enough so that electrical circuits won't become crossed during use, or outside we'll show you the options that you have.
Customer satisfaction is our number one priority, and we want to do everything we can to ensure you and your family stay comfortable all year round.
Call for easy scheduling.
Plumbing FAQs
If you know where your main water supply is located, turn if off and check the meter. If it is still changing, you know the leak is between your house and outside meter. If there are none inside (and this might seem obvious), then it's likely coming from somewhere else close by - like at least one other faucet or pipe nearby!
A leak is sometimes very obvious; other times you could have a leak for months and not know it. There are a few things to look out for if you suspect a leak in your Atlanta area home:
- Look at your water bill to see if your usage has gone up with no apparent reason.
- Any musty smells could indicate a leak that has led to mold/mildew.
- Any signs of wall, ceiling or floor damage, including stains, warping or bubbling.
Professional plumbers can do a thorough inspection of your home and grounds to determine if you have a water leak.

Picked up the material from Apex Supply Marietta and Mingledorff’s Atlanta. Arrived at the customer’s home to complete quoted repairs. Began removing ducts from the plenum and discovered that they were previously installed in a way that makes it extremely difficult to perform repairs. Removed the plenum altogether and cut in brand new holes. Installed the new plenum. Extended each of the ducts to reach the new supply plenum and installed the dampers. Installed a supply and return air sensor for the bypass duct and a supply air sensor for the zone board. Installed the brand new zone board. Wired in each component to the zone board. Tested the operation to the best of our ability during today’s visit but was unable to test from the thermostat due to the customer leaving. If there are any issues, we can come back and perform repairs.

Met with customer and spoke with him regarding the issue they are experiencing. Customer showed us inside and upstairs to the hallway guest bathroom. The toilet is clogged due to a large amount of toilet paper and/or wipes being put down it. We also cleaned the tub drain while inspecting the toilet and helped it drain faster. Customer then showed us into the master bathroom, and stated the toilet is constantly stopping and starting again while filling. We diagnosed a failed fill valve and recommended replacing the fill valve and supply line. We were unable to inspect the customer’s water heater at this time. Customer did state that they had a tankless water heater installed a little less than a year ago. We did inform the customer that tankless water heaters require a yearly flush for maintenance. We then presented the customer with options to clear the hall toilet and install a new fill valve in the master bathroom. Customer agreed to the estimate presented and after getting signature

Upon arrival customer stated that upstairs system was not heating properly. System is 1 year old. After inspect on 90% gas furnace found that thermostat outdoor drain line had froze and caused water to back up in pressure switch and unit not activate. Thawed out line removed ice and water began to come out. Did full evaluation of system. Blower wheel is dirty, cleaned flame sensor, there was no flood protection for primary drain line. Primary drain line was laying on floor and not draining properly this is what was causing a lot of water back up in pipe and system freezing during cold temperatures. Attic is spray foam. Recommended a condensation pump conversion for drain line with wet switch and drain pan, Uv light, blower wheel cleaning, in line flood protection and insulating the drain line outside. Customer approved to have all repairs done for system today. Made all changed for system tested unit and everything is working properly. Customer signed up two units for Homecare maintena

Vincent, returned to install hot water at our outdoor grill, which is something we have not had until now. He is skilled and thoughtful, paying attention to detail. Plus he is genuinely a good guy.
Inspected for issue. Found that the condensation line on the water heater was frozen and the display had an error 22. Turned the unit off and back on and the hot water was restored. Insulated the water pipes and condensation line. This will help protect the water lines, but it isn’t a guarantee that the lines will not freeze again during a hard freeze. Thank you for choosing T.E. Certified.

For this job, I worked on repairing a hot line on the supply line. Also replaced the shut off valve underneath the sink. Waited for an hour for the glue to dry and tested for leaks and cleaned up area.
Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new furnace
Technician arrived and found Inadequate airflow for the main floor is causing the unit to work 24/7, thermostat is located on the main floor causing it to never satisfy This is causing the upstairs area to be over heated Found cracks in the heat exchanger and high static pressures as well Technician found that the unit is short cycling as well due to a high limit switch being set off this is more than likely caused by the cracks in the heat exchanger Recommendations: Replace the system with zoned inverter system with ductwork modifications
We install a new breaker for the main electrical panel, and also did panel inspection and left future estimates.
Used gas leak detecting device to inspect for gas leak. None found. Suggested opening the wall. Service was declined. Suggest smoke testing to search for leak. Thank you for choosing T.E. Certified.
The bare minimum basic repairs to get the system running today. Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system. Came out for a no heat. Customer stated they did not have auxiliary heat ran diagnostic on system. Found that the auxiliary heat was never wired into the system or on the thermostats. Rewired both systems got the auxiliary heat running main floor getting over a 90° supply temperature. Upstairs system is a 3.5 KW heat strip kit supplied temp is getting to 84. These are only gonna put out about a mid 80s supply temp. Checked breaker for this system found that it is a 60 amp breaker and it’s double the size that needs to be. Customer stated they will have electrician come out to replace the breaker and check for proper operation. Once breaker is replaced customer elected to run the 3.5 KW and see how that does if it does not meet their standards they would have the heat kit upgraded to a 5K W heat strip kit. installed Bluetube on the s
