HVAC Service FAQs
The average cost to install or replace a home air conditioning system in the Atlanta, GA area is around $7,500. The typical range is from $6,500 - $12,500 because the price is determined by a number of factors, including the square footage of your home and SEER rating needed for your specific home. The make, model, size and efficiency rating of the unit chosen are also factors. Last but certainly not least, the brand of the HVAC unit and any extras, including zoning, smart thermostat, etc. have to be factored in.
On average, central air conditioning repairs in the Atlanta, GA area cost about $750. The low end could be as little as $150 for a thermostat fix and could go as high as $2,500 for something more complex. How much you should pay for a home AC repair depends almost entirely on what needs to be fixed. A simple fan fix will cost much less than a compressor repair, for instance. A professional HVAC technician will be able to provide you with a more accurate estimate and pricing.
Lack of regular maintenance causes more problems associated with home air conditioning systems in Atlanta than anything else. Another common issue is refrigerant leaks, which can cause the unit to lose its cooling power. Other problems can include electrical issues such as faulty wiring or a malfunctioning thermostat, which can prevent the unit from turning on or properly regulating the temperature. You can avoid most AC problems with regular and seasonal HVAC maintenance because this will address any issues, as soon as they arise, to keep your AC unit running efficiently and avoid costly repairs.
It depends on the specific issues with the unit and the overall condition of the AC unit. Generally, if a 20-year-old AC unit is experiencing major problems such as compressor failure or refrigerant leaks, it may be more cost-effective to replace the unit rather than investing in costly repairs over time. Older units are not as energy-efficient as newer HVAC models, meaning that it costs you more to run the unit. Check your energy bills monthly and ask for advice on the most cost-effective and energy-efficient solution. This will help you determine whether to repair or replace your AC unit.
The #1 reason your AC unit is not cooling your Atlanta area home is your air filters are dirty. Clogged air filters can restrict airflow, reducing your unit's ability to cool the air in your home. Some other reasons could include low refrigerant which won’t allow the air to cool properly. A malfunctioning thermostat can prevent your AC unit from turning on or regulating the temperature properly. Blocked or dirty condenser coils on the outside unit can become dirty, reducing its ability to dissipate heat. One last thing to check would be a clogged drain line. Your AC drain line can get clogged with mold, mildew, and debris, preventing the unit from properly draining the condensation, which causes the evaporator coil to freeze up and not cool properly.

Tankless Water Heater Repair & Installation Services
Tankless hot water heaters are a great choice for those who live in tight spaces, such as smaller kitchen or bathroom enclosures.
Compared to tank water heaters, tankless water heater systems offer higher efficiency, lower energy bills, endless hot water, extra space in your home (they don't take up as much space as a tank) and usually longer lifespans (15+ years compared to 10-12 years). In order to save money and energy, a tankless water heater system is the perfect choice.
The installation of this type is much simpler than traditional tanks because there's no need to install plumbing pipes under your sink! TE Certified can help you decide what size would work best with the available room space and power supply near where it'll be installed. Whether indoors near an electric outlet on wall socket/surfaces close enough so that electrical circuits won't become crossed during use, or outside we'll show you the options that you have.
Customer satisfaction is our number one priority, and we want to do everything we can to ensure you and your family stay comfortable all year round.
Call for easy scheduling.
Plumbing FAQs
If you know where your main water supply is located, turn if off and check the meter. If it is still changing, you know the leak is between your house and outside meter. If there are none inside (and this might seem obvious), then it's likely coming from somewhere else close by - like at least one other faucet or pipe nearby!
A leak is sometimes very obvious; other times you could have a leak for months and not know it. There are a few things to look out for if you suspect a leak in your Atlanta area home:
- Look at your water bill to see if your usage has gone up with no apparent reason.
- Any musty smells could indicate a leak that has led to mold/mildew.
- Any signs of wall, ceiling or floor damage, including stains, warping or bubbling.
Professional plumbers can do a thorough inspection of your home and grounds to determine if you have a water leak.

Return trip to reconnect water heater after HVAC complete work
Homeowners called us out due to a high water bill. We checked both inside and outside for water loss by isolating the main water line and interior water lines for water loss. After running tests, we found that the main line had ruptured near the foundation of the home and a toilet continuously ran. We replaced the running toilet and main waterline. In the master we replaced the lavatory faucet cartridges and the toilet handle. All work was tested and checked for leaks.
Called out for low water pressure on the house when multiple fixtures are turned on tested pressure was getting around 50 to 55 psi tested expansion tank found that it was ruptured gave estimate to replace expansion tank and PRV. Customer agreed replaced expansion tank and PRV was getting the same pressure installed a hose bibvalve before the PRV as a courtesyin order to check street pressure because outside hose bibs were on house pressure was still getting 50 psi on newly installed hose bib went around to five different neighbors check their city pressure and they were getting around the same. informed home owner that it is now on the city side. tested everything we installed no leaking at this time.

Homeowners complaint was that upstairs was getting to hot and downstairs would not get up to temperature, upon arrival upstairs was 80 degrees, found that zone damper was stuck in the open position, spoke with customer about issue, went to supply house to get part, came back to replace AprilAire damper motor, tested system operation, opened and closed damper, damper is functioning properly at this time, also preformed homecare fall service, checked amp draw of heat strips, compressor, blower motor as well as outdoor fan motor, checked all capacitors, flushed water down drain line, tested condensation pump, Freon levels look good in both heat mode as well as AC mode, all units and electrical components working properly at this time, recommended TE flood protection as well as UV protection for system.
The dimmers did not work for two reasons, first the dimmers installed are incandescent style dimmers where LED style dimmers were needed, second, the fixtures themselves need additional low voltage wires ran from each fixture to the switch in order to control that specific dimmer. To save costs, I recommend installing new light fixtures and replacing the dimmer, instead of running new wires from each fixture to the new dimmer. Either way the fixtures will need to be taken down and reinstalled and the correct style dimmer installed.
Replaced bath fan in down stairs bathroom
1 system inspection . The auxiliary pan needs a pipe added and a cap was open will flood home if it ever gets water in pan . Also there wasn’t an inline safety in case of a stopped up pipe water will run inside unit causing damage. I also recommend installing a wet switch to immediately shutt down unit when moisture is present in pan . Tested heating and cooling there was no components bad . Very good
We were charged $1250 to move a register a few feet. During the estimate it was made to sound like this was a big job, but he was done in two hours, maybe less. No big equipment, just a cool $625 an hour. I think TE offers a high quality of service but I will have to look elsewhere if I keep getting gouged on price.
We are sorry to hear that your expectations were not completely met. Please reach out to us at 770-291-5566 so we can learn more.
