HVAC Service FAQs
The average cost to install or replace a home air conditioning system in the Atlanta, GA area is around $7,500. The typical range is from $6,500 - $12,500 because the price is determined by a number of factors, including the square footage of your home and SEER rating needed for your specific home. The make, model, size and efficiency rating of the unit chosen are also factors. Last but certainly not least, the brand of the HVAC unit and any extras, including zoning, smart thermostat, etc. have to be factored in.
On average, central air conditioning repairs in the Atlanta, GA area cost about $750. The low end could be as little as $150 for a thermostat fix and could go as high as $2,500 for something more complex. How much you should pay for a home AC repair depends almost entirely on what needs to be fixed. A simple fan fix will cost much less than a compressor repair, for instance. A professional HVAC technician will be able to provide you with a more accurate estimate and pricing.
Lack of regular maintenance causes more problems associated with home air conditioning systems in Atlanta than anything else. Another common issue is refrigerant leaks, which can cause the unit to lose its cooling power. Other problems can include electrical issues such as faulty wiring or a malfunctioning thermostat, which can prevent the unit from turning on or properly regulating the temperature. You can avoid most AC problems with regular and seasonal HVAC maintenance because this will address any issues, as soon as they arise, to keep your AC unit running efficiently and avoid costly repairs.
It depends on the specific issues with the unit and the overall condition of the AC unit. Generally, if a 20-year-old AC unit is experiencing major problems such as compressor failure or refrigerant leaks, it may be more cost-effective to replace the unit rather than investing in costly repairs over time. Older units are not as energy-efficient as newer HVAC models, meaning that it costs you more to run the unit. Check your energy bills monthly and ask for advice on the most cost-effective and energy-efficient solution. This will help you determine whether to repair or replace your AC unit.
The #1 reason your AC unit is not cooling your Atlanta area home is your air filters are dirty. Clogged air filters can restrict airflow, reducing your unit's ability to cool the air in your home. Some other reasons could include low refrigerant which won’t allow the air to cool properly. A malfunctioning thermostat can prevent your AC unit from turning on or regulating the temperature properly. Blocked or dirty condenser coils on the outside unit can become dirty, reducing its ability to dissipate heat. One last thing to check would be a clogged drain line. Your AC drain line can get clogged with mold, mildew, and debris, preventing the unit from properly draining the condensation, which causes the evaporator coil to freeze up and not cool properly.

Tankless Water Heater Repair & Installation Services
Tankless hot water heaters are a great choice for those who live in tight spaces, such as smaller kitchen or bathroom enclosures.
Compared to tank water heaters, tankless water heater systems offer higher efficiency, lower energy bills, endless hot water, extra space in your home (they don't take up as much space as a tank) and usually longer lifespans (15+ years compared to 10-12 years). In order to save money and energy, a tankless water heater system is the perfect choice.
The installation of this type is much simpler than traditional tanks because there's no need to install plumbing pipes under your sink! TE Certified can help you decide what size would work best with the available room space and power supply near where it'll be installed. Whether indoors near an electric outlet on wall socket/surfaces close enough so that electrical circuits won't become crossed during use, or outside we'll show you the options that you have.
Customer satisfaction is our number one priority, and we want to do everything we can to ensure you and your family stay comfortable all year round.
Call for easy scheduling.
Plumbing FAQs
If you know where your main water supply is located, turn if off and check the meter. If it is still changing, you know the leak is between your house and outside meter. If there are none inside (and this might seem obvious), then it's likely coming from somewhere else close by - like at least one other faucet or pipe nearby!
A leak is sometimes very obvious; other times you could have a leak for months and not know it. There are a few things to look out for if you suspect a leak in your Atlanta area home:
- Look at your water bill to see if your usage has gone up with no apparent reason.
- Any musty smells could indicate a leak that has led to mold/mildew.
- Any signs of wall, ceiling or floor damage, including stains, warping or bubbling.
Professional plumbers can do a thorough inspection of your home and grounds to determine if you have a water leak.

Replace flood light costumer provided and fix wiring in landscape
As we arrived today, Frank explained to us that power was turned off to the house and once it was turned back on, they lost power to the master bedroom and bathroom. After doing a troubleshoot throughout the affected area, we found that in the bedroom switch box where all of the wires come together in a big junction, the wires had been melted and charted a little bit, probably from overheating. We removed the wires and cut them back to a healthy spot and remade all connections once that was done power was restored to the affected area. It was nice meeting you today, Frank! If we can ever help you with anything else, please feel free to give me a call anytime. Thank you, Brandon

Replace existing wafer lights with new wafer lights in kitchen.
Met with customer and spoke with her regarding their current issues. Customer showed us upstairs and to the master bathroom. Customer states their toilet will turn off and on again periodically. This is due to a failed Kohler seal. Customer also showed us the right lavatory sink which is draining slowly. Customer also states that their master shower had a leak on the shower valve. The leak has ceased but customer is no longer getting good hot water from the shower after having it repaired. It is a Grohe shower tower. We recommended that a service plumber/supervisor comes out to the home to inspect the shower and make any repairs. Customer agreed and a technician will be out 2-5PM tomorrow 1/30. We also inspected the customer’s water heater in the basement which is functioning properly at this time however the 5gal expansion tank is not mounted to a bracket and is currently only sitting on copper pipe. We then presented the customer with estimates to repair the sink and toilet. Customer
Installed customer provided smart toilet. Set the anchors in the floor, set toilet, tested water, and sealed around base with white silicone. Flushed toilet 10 times to ensure there are no leaks or issues. Thank you for choosing TE Certified!
Today we came out due to system not heating. Upon arrival thermostat was set to 85 degrees, but it was reading 49 degrees. Furnace is located in crawl space. When I opened up door to furnace it was giving a code of “55” which is indicating a closed pressure switch. I removed tubing and found switch to be clogged. I cleaned the switch and tubing. System fired up and was heating. The switch does look like it has a lot of tear on it, and I informed Ms. Jamella cleaning it might not be a permanent solution, and would be better to replace it. I also noticed there is an old humidifier with no ducting or wires attached. This is attached to the return plenum and it’s sucking in dust and debris. There is a manual damper on the supply plenum where it was attached to humidifier. There is massive air leakage and both need to be sealed properly. There is currently no filter inside the filter slot for the machine. Each time the system comes on, all that air is being unfiltered and going into system
Homeowner is concerned the kids rooms have vastly different temperatures especially after long periods of use. Carrier Infinity zoned system in attic is running with no apparent issues. The kids rooms are on their separate zone from the rest of the second floor. Each room has a bathroom with a 4" flex, 1 - 6" supply for bedroom but only one room has an additional 4" run to closet. Room 2 and Room 1 both have 4" bathroom runs coming off of trunk line. An 8" saddle tap goes into 8x8x6 wye with 6" feeding bedroom Room 1. The 8" coming off of the wye goes into 8x6x6 wye with 6" runs for bedroom 2 and bedroom 2 closet. Bedroom 2 closet 6" supply duct run reduces to 4" flex without reducer only silver tape. The 8" wye and 8" off of the wye are taking majority of the airflow away from Bedroom 1 6" supply. Estimate has been created to correct ductwork for better air distribution and temperature control.

Met with customer and spoke with him regarding the issue they are experiencing. Customer showed us upstairs and to the hall bathroom and stated that he accidentally dropped a cleaning sponge down the toilet. Customer had flushed the toilet twice before we arrived and did not notice any clogs or water coming back up. We inspected the toilet and flushed it with and without toilet paper successfully. Customer did not want the toilet pulled at this time unless necessary. Presented the customer with estimates to troubleshoot the toilet and for a toilet auger. We explained to the customer that we would auger the toilet and if we did not pull anything back on the auger he will only be charged a troubleshooting fee. And if we did pull the sponge back out we would charge for the full toilet auger. Customer agree and after getting signature approval we began work. We used the toilet auger and made two passes with ease. We then removed the toilet auger and flushed the toilet again. We also inspec

Completed full fall maintenance on all four HVAC systems. Inspected heat, exchanger, burners, and ignition components for safe operation. Checked blower assemblies, airflow, settings, and electrical connections and motor amp draws to verify proper performance. I tested controls and safety switches and inspected for any potential safety or cold concerns. I came across two condensers that are dirty and one capacitor that is out of tolerance. All systems lack indoor air quality. The system that I recommend to have an indoor air quality device is the main floor system. Without an indoor air quality device, airborne particles are circulating through the system and settling on the blower wheel. And ionization system like a iWAVE help reduce buildup by neutralizing particles, odors, bacteria and viruses before they reach the blower wheel. I also changed three 413 filters for customer and let him know which filters he needed to buy for the other two systems. I emailed estimates to customer to co
