HVAC Service FAQs
The average cost to install or replace a home air conditioning system in the Atlanta, GA area is around $7,500. The typical range is from $6,500 - $12,500 because the price is determined by a number of factors, including the square footage of your home and SEER rating needed for your specific home. The make, model, size and efficiency rating of the unit chosen are also factors. Last but certainly not least, the brand of the HVAC unit and any extras, including zoning, smart thermostat, etc. have to be factored in.
On average, central air conditioning repairs in the Atlanta, GA area cost about $750. The low end could be as little as $150 for a thermostat fix and could go as high as $2,500 for something more complex. How much you should pay for a home AC repair depends almost entirely on what needs to be fixed. A simple fan fix will cost much less than a compressor repair, for instance. A professional HVAC technician will be able to provide you with a more accurate estimate and pricing.
Lack of regular maintenance causes more problems associated with home air conditioning systems in Atlanta than anything else. Another common issue is refrigerant leaks, which can cause the unit to lose its cooling power. Other problems can include electrical issues such as faulty wiring or a malfunctioning thermostat, which can prevent the unit from turning on or properly regulating the temperature. You can avoid most AC problems with regular and seasonal HVAC maintenance because this will address any issues, as soon as they arise, to keep your AC unit running efficiently and avoid costly repairs.
It depends on the specific issues with the unit and the overall condition of the AC unit. Generally, if a 20-year-old AC unit is experiencing major problems such as compressor failure or refrigerant leaks, it may be more cost-effective to replace the unit rather than investing in costly repairs over time. Older units are not as energy-efficient as newer HVAC models, meaning that it costs you more to run the unit. Check your energy bills monthly and ask for advice on the most cost-effective and energy-efficient solution. This will help you determine whether to repair or replace your AC unit.
The #1 reason your AC unit is not cooling your Atlanta area home is your air filters are dirty. Clogged air filters can restrict airflow, reducing your unit's ability to cool the air in your home. Some other reasons could include low refrigerant which won’t allow the air to cool properly. A malfunctioning thermostat can prevent your AC unit from turning on or regulating the temperature properly. Blocked or dirty condenser coils on the outside unit can become dirty, reducing its ability to dissipate heat. One last thing to check would be a clogged drain line. Your AC drain line can get clogged with mold, mildew, and debris, preventing the unit from properly draining the condensation, which causes the evaporator coil to freeze up and not cool properly.

Tankless Water Heater Repair & Installation Services
Tankless hot water heaters are a great choice for those who live in tight spaces, such as smaller kitchen or bathroom enclosures.
Compared to tank water heaters, tankless water heater systems offer higher efficiency, lower energy bills, endless hot water, extra space in your home (they don't take up as much space as a tank) and usually longer lifespans (15+ years compared to 10-12 years). In order to save money and energy, a tankless water heater system is the perfect choice.
The installation of this type is much simpler than traditional tanks because there's no need to install plumbing pipes under your sink! TE Certified can help you decide what size would work best with the available room space and power supply near where it'll be installed. Whether indoors near an electric outlet on wall socket/surfaces close enough so that electrical circuits won't become crossed during use, or outside we'll show you the options that you have.
Customer satisfaction is our number one priority, and we want to do everything we can to ensure you and your family stay comfortable all year round.
Call for easy scheduling.
Plumbing FAQs
If you know where your main water supply is located, turn if off and check the meter. If it is still changing, you know the leak is between your house and outside meter. If there are none inside (and this might seem obvious), then it's likely coming from somewhere else close by - like at least one other faucet or pipe nearby!
A leak is sometimes very obvious; other times you could have a leak for months and not know it. There are a few things to look out for if you suspect a leak in your Atlanta area home:
- Look at your water bill to see if your usage has gone up with no apparent reason.
- Any musty smells could indicate a leak that has led to mold/mildew.
- Any signs of wall, ceiling or floor damage, including stains, warping or bubbling.
Professional plumbers can do a thorough inspection of your home and grounds to determine if you have a water leak.

I had previously used TE for a small electrical project. So glad I used them for my plumbing needs. Garrett was quick and professional!

Arrived on site to replace a California cartridge in the downstairs bathroom we took the part out and tried to replace the cartridge, but found that the all thread did not secure the finish handle properly. I got with the manufacturer and sent over some information and created a case to see what additional parts were needed upon their investigation. They found that the cartridge needed an extension kit in order for the handles to be secured properly. The cartridges are in place now, but will need to have the extensions put in place once they arrive.
Great service

Doorbell transformer
JT and Ma were timely and very professional. I appreciated the text updates regarding arrival time and the photo/background introduction to the assigned technician. Those are very customer friendly touches.

Customer has two gas fire pits for the pool. One of them is not working. Tested the gas and the gas is going to the appliances. The thermal couple has likely gone bad. Referring to an appliances company for the fix of the appliance. Did also find a gas leak underneath the appliance. Gave option to have the leak fix and the customer decided to just turn the valve off to the appliance in the meantime.

Master bathroom toilet, I replaced the fill valve, supply stop and tube.

Customer stated diverter on shower wasn’t working. During diagnosis and removal of diverter we noticed the screw in the back of the diverter was removed. We extracted said screw and set it back in place. Customer also stated that kitchen faucet was loose so we tightened faucet. We noticed that the garbage disposal showed signs of rusting so we replaced it with a 1/2 hp disposal. Upon completion we tested work thoroughly. Thank you for choosing TE.

I troubleshoot the kitchen lights above the stove and got power back to it, I also ran a circuit for a door magnet lock, for a Company that was installing the door magnets same day. (120) In the main kitchen we also bypass old lightbulbs with new LED light bulbs and remove the ballast from light fixture , This was done on 5 lights in the kitchen with 4 4FT Bulbs each. Future estimates are listed.

For this job, I rendered leak detection services on the main water service. We did discover the leak.

Install customer supplied ring doorbell transformer, install new location receptacle for bidet in master bath toilet room, single pole switch replacement in bedroom for ceiling fan.

Install new ice maker box remove old saddle valve run new pex line

Performed customer 1 system fall (heat) homecare maintenance check This is a duel fuel system, gas furnace and heat pump. System is 1 year old. Changed AprilAire model 213 system filter. Checked over all operations of system, blower wheel had mild dust build up on it from customer remodeling kitchen. Cleaned flame sensor, cleaned pressure switch tube port, both heat pump and gas furnace working properly. System has a blue tub Uv light and I wave ionizer and both are working with no issues, washed down outdoor condenser coils. Made sure condensation tube was still insulated and draining properly. No recommendations for system at this time everything working properly.

Rewired bathroom combo switch and ran new circuit for soffit outlets.

Replace water heater and include gas run at multi rate discount 500$ for either gas line option

Service visit on Generac 26kw standby generator

We ran a dedicated 20a circuit from one of the main panels in the basement to the attic for the new dehumidifier system the HVAC Department was installing. We also installed a new whole home surge protector for each main panel in the basement.

Install the Tesla charger on existing wiring in the garage added by the builder. Add whole house surge protection and troubleshoot breakers that are tripping.

Today we came out for main level system not cooling 2013 carrier 3.5 ton heat pump split builder grade. Cycled equipment from thermostat and checked operations found burnt wire going to common terminal on duel capacitor and impacted condenser coil. Gave client repair options they would like to make repairs and sign up for home care. Installed new duel capacitor, repaired common wire and cleaned condenser coil. Checked refrigerant levels and all operations and left eq

Performed customer 3 system HVAC inspection Did full system evaluation for the main level system. This is a gas furnace and ac/coil split system. Unit is 11 years old. Checked ac and heat for system. Checked all operations of system, inside of the system is clean, blower wheel is dirty, blower capacitor is testing bad. System has a (15.375x25.5x5.25) media filter installed. Customer stated he will order more to change. Found that drain line for ac unit is connected into the collectors box for gas furnace and when ac unit is draining water it’s filling up the collectors box before going into the condensation pump. Drain lines needed to be separated so the primary drain goes directly into the pump. System does have a pan switch for water overflow installed, recommend adding a wet pan switch to detect water at a minimum level before filling up the pan. Blower motor amps tested good. Checked outdoor unit, condenser coils are very dirty, capacitor tested bad, contactor very pitted. Refrige

Replaced prv due to water pressure sitting at 100psi. Customer is experiencing high water bill. We are having water detect them out on Monday.
