HVAC Service FAQs
The average cost to install or replace a home air conditioning system in the Atlanta, GA area is around $7,500. The typical range is from $6,500 - $12,500 because the price is determined by a number of factors, including the square footage of your home and SEER rating needed for your specific home. The make, model, size and efficiency rating of the unit chosen are also factors. Last but certainly not least, the brand of the HVAC unit and any extras, including zoning, smart thermostat, etc. have to be factored in.
On average, central air conditioning repairs in the Atlanta, GA area cost about $750. The low end could be as little as $150 for a thermostat fix and could go as high as $2,500 for something more complex. How much you should pay for a home AC repair depends almost entirely on what needs to be fixed. A simple fan fix will cost much less than a compressor repair, for instance. A professional HVAC technician will be able to provide you with a more accurate estimate and pricing.
Lack of regular maintenance causes more problems associated with home air conditioning systems in Atlanta than anything else. Another common issue is refrigerant leaks, which can cause the unit to lose its cooling power. Other problems can include electrical issues such as faulty wiring or a malfunctioning thermostat, which can prevent the unit from turning on or properly regulating the temperature. You can avoid most AC problems with regular and seasonal HVAC maintenance because this will address any issues, as soon as they arise, to keep your AC unit running efficiently and avoid costly repairs.
It depends on the specific issues with the unit and the overall condition of the AC unit. Generally, if a 20-year-old AC unit is experiencing major problems such as compressor failure or refrigerant leaks, it may be more cost-effective to replace the unit rather than investing in costly repairs over time. Older units are not as energy-efficient as newer HVAC models, meaning that it costs you more to run the unit. Check your energy bills monthly and ask for advice on the most cost-effective and energy-efficient solution. This will help you determine whether to repair or replace your AC unit.
The #1 reason your AC unit is not cooling your Atlanta area home is your air filters are dirty. Clogged air filters can restrict airflow, reducing your unit's ability to cool the air in your home. Some other reasons could include low refrigerant which won’t allow the air to cool properly. A malfunctioning thermostat can prevent your AC unit from turning on or regulating the temperature properly. Blocked or dirty condenser coils on the outside unit can become dirty, reducing its ability to dissipate heat. One last thing to check would be a clogged drain line. Your AC drain line can get clogged with mold, mildew, and debris, preventing the unit from properly draining the condensation, which causes the evaporator coil to freeze up and not cool properly.

Tankless Water Heater Repair & Installation Services
Tankless hot water heaters are a great choice for those who live in tight spaces, such as smaller kitchen or bathroom enclosures.
Compared to tank water heaters, tankless water heater systems offer higher efficiency, lower energy bills, endless hot water, extra space in your home (they don't take up as much space as a tank) and usually longer lifespans (15+ years compared to 10-12 years). In order to save money and energy, a tankless water heater system is the perfect choice.
The installation of this type is much simpler than traditional tanks because there's no need to install plumbing pipes under your sink! TE Certified can help you decide what size would work best with the available room space and power supply near where it'll be installed. Whether indoors near an electric outlet on wall socket/surfaces close enough so that electrical circuits won't become crossed during use, or outside we'll show you the options that you have.
Customer satisfaction is our number one priority, and we want to do everything we can to ensure you and your family stay comfortable all year round.
Call for easy scheduling.
Plumbing FAQs
If you know where your main water supply is located, turn if off and check the meter. If it is still changing, you know the leak is between your house and outside meter. If there are none inside (and this might seem obvious), then it's likely coming from somewhere else close by - like at least one other faucet or pipe nearby!
A leak is sometimes very obvious; other times you could have a leak for months and not know it. There are a few things to look out for if you suspect a leak in your Atlanta area home:
- Look at your water bill to see if your usage has gone up with no apparent reason.
- Any musty smells could indicate a leak that has led to mold/mildew.
- Any signs of wall, ceiling or floor damage, including stains, warping or bubbling.
Professional plumbers can do a thorough inspection of your home and grounds to determine if you have a water leak.

Upon arrival customer stated that furnace for the main level was not heating. Stated he had a company come out and stated he had a failed inducer draft motor. Customer replaced inducer draft motor, and system still did not work. After inspection of 24 year old furnace found that the pressure switch was not closing and has failed. Even with a new inducer motor the wheel is out of balance and rubbing against the housing. Customer only replaced motor not full assembly. Blower motor is pulling high amps due to blower wheel being very dirty and blower motor capacitor being bad. Advised customer of issues with system, customer did choose to replace the pressure switch but then decided to not do any repairs on system and get quote to replace the furnace. Customer also stated to me about upstairs system has a leak in line set at wall outside this was tested by another company showed me areas, and wants to get estimate for new line set for the upstairs system. Heat is not working at this time.
Responded to a no cooling service call. Upon arrival, I found the thermostat was not receiving 24 volts. I proceeded to the attic to inspect the 2014 Carrier air handler and discovered the electrical disconnect had completely burned out. I immediately informed the customer of my findings and provided pricing for replacement. I also advised that while the disconnect failure was the primary issue, there is potential for additional damage related to this electrical fault, and further evaluation would be necessary after completing the initial repair. After replacing the disconnect and whip, I continued a full system inspection. The air handler interior was heavily soiled, with visible biological growth present. Cleaning is recommended to improve system performance, indoor air quality, and overall efficiency. Adding indoor air quality products such as the Apco-X air purifier can help prevent biological growth and be beneficial to your health. I also noted that the system does not have TE
Arrived performed home care. Spoke with customer he stated upstairs system will not reach temperature when said to cool mode. Diagnosed and found corroded, wires, and shorted contactor. Customer approved repairs. Rewired low-voltage and installed new contactor. Cycled system on. Unit now cooling. Checked all electrical and amperage. Flushed and treated drain lines. Flushed and treated condensate pump. Cleaned flame sensor. Check both heat and cool. Checked outdoor units. Check capacitors, contactors and pressures. Remove faceplates, stud openings, install drywall, tape seams, multiple coats joint compound, sand, spot prime and one coat paint feathered.
No heat. Blower fan not blowing any air. Turned heat on and did spin blower motor and it works, but not strong. Blower motor is going bad. Also, blower wheel is extremely dirty and evaporator coil covered by biological growth. It’s a straight cool heat pump. The air handler looks like it’s from 1969 and outside condenser 2011. Also, thermostat is analog. At this age , and air quality conditions, the best option would be to upgrade the system, with 10 years warranty and WiFi thermostat. Set a lead to quote upgrading the system for today. We should credit 98,00 back if customer upgrade the system.
Install new GFCI receptacle with new bubble cover only. (Box may still need to be replace is holes are damaged from improper screws)

Completed full system inspection. Single System Supply trunk line sweats during cooling season, lacks wet switch and drain pan, equipment could benefit from IAQ enhancements. Setup HomeCare plan today and applied membership pricing

Break ground with a trench machine to run new dedicated gas line for the pool heater and outdoor kitchen.
I came out to clear a drain that was attempted earlier this week. I inspected the sink and the area that was repaired earlier today. I recommended clearing the line with a jetter to remove all grease and rust from the cast iron line. Customer agreed. I ran the jetter down the line successfully clearing the blockage. Cleaned up and tested the drain for about 15 minutes and had no back ups.
We responded to a call regarding a leak coming from the bottom of a toilet. After speaking with the tenant and further diagnosing the issue, it was determined that the wax seals on both upstairs toilets were compromised. We pulled both toilets, replaced the wax rings, reset the toilets, and tested to ensure there were no further leaks. We also replaced the supply lines for both toilets and applied caulking around the bases. Additionally, we cut into the sheetrock to investigate further and discovered a hole in the ½-inch copper line feeding the front hose bib. We removed and replaced the damaged section of pipe, turned the water back on, and thoroughly tested the system to confirm there were no leaks and that the hose bib was functioning properly.
Will need to remove unit off pad and relevel dirt under unit for adequate support of pad and replace system back on pad. System currently back on and working properly and customer is satisfied system is also level
