Troubleshoot electrical issue. ISSUE: ac unit causing intermittent buzzing at panel LOCATION: main floor/ downstairs ac unit FINDINGS: the buzzing would occur approximately every 45 seconds to a minute. Upon inspecting the unit, it would cut off for a split second and turn back on. I tested voltage at the panel and got proper readings. I tested voltage at the disconnect and the ac unit and got proper readings. I bypassed the disconnect to see if it was the cause of the shutting off, but unit still would turn off then back on. Upon inspecting the connections inside the ac unit, I noticed a wire on the capacitor charred and disconnected. RESOLUTION: I left estimates to replace disconnects and whips due to age and romex being ran in the whip. The issue of shutting off and coming back on is related to the capacitor so the customer scheduled hvac service to repair.
Milton came as soon as the other TE team requested him. He was prompt, identified the issue and fixed it right away. He was very kind and explained in detail what he did. Great job!

Board new waterline 85 foot to garage back right corner connected back into main waterline. All work was tested in document with pictures.

No cool due to a bad fuse. Last company took fuses and never got back. I put two new fuses (at disconnect box) and system works, but fan motor not spinning. Dual capacitor was reading low (30 and .86 on a 35/5 microfarad). Also, replaced dual capacitor. System works after that and is running and cooling the house as best as it can do. Contactor is making humming noise. System is 19 years old and on its last legs. Fan motor is very rusted and so the evaporator coil. Pressures are in ok shape, but rusted evaporator coil can lead to leaks. Also, system uses r22 (Freon) to cool the house. Due to the age and conditions of the system, Highly recommend to upgrade the AC system (furnace is newer -2021) and bring warranty, savings and efficiency back to the house. Set a lead to quote replacement for the AC only, for today. We should credit the money spent today (312,00) , if customer upgrade the ac system with us.

Replace Bad Main Breaker

Full system changeout for main floor and new plenums upstairs

The issues addressed today were the water closet in the main floor powder room and the service valve for the water closet in the upstairs guest bathroom. Gave options for replacements and repairs. Customer decided what options worked best for them. I made all repairs and pressurized the system. Checked and verified repairs were operating properly.

Customer called out for a condensate drain pipe that is clogged. There is a severe stoppage in this 3 inch drain line that has caused water to pack up over the entire basement floor. I Will have to access the drain line and snake drain to remove stoppage and restore proper drainage to the drain line. I was successfully able to remove stoppage in the drain line. Everything is draining properly. I connected a hose and placed it into the condensate drain line and let the water run for several minutes to ensure everything is properly draining and flushed out. I did retrieve two three-quarter PVC Tee fittings from the drain line. Everything is draining properly at this time. I also provided the customer with our ENDURE drain maintenance product. Customer is very satisfied. We also scheduled a camera inspection for Monday between 8 AM and 10 AM.

Replaced failed thermal expansion tank and failed PRV. Reset electric water heat and tested thoroughly taking voltage measurements and amp draw while heating with all measurements being in range.

1 in Upstairs bedroom, 4 in garage hall, 3 in basement

Client had reservations about refrigerant charge ….open ceiling concept for single system ….thermostat is downstairs not upstairs, if blinds are open on windows this could cause some stratification recorded temp differences in the home to with thermometer....very good possibility these VARIABLES would be contributing to any system inefficiency based off my diagnosis today ….no attic insulation for 4 ton unit in attic closet upstairs …verified indoor and outdoor capacitors are in range to which they are …* no flood protection on drainage for * HVAC PVC ran into * PLUMBING stack ….home was holding at 73 degrees before verifying system operations ….client opted to add flood protection on system in attic * installed and verified system operations after immediate repair …thank you for choosing TE certified ..

Replaced 2 toilet and angle stop valves. With a flange replacement in the hallway restroom due to it not being the proper flange done by contractor.

Upon arrival, the customer spoke to me about a few switches that he had installed and just saw some minor issues. He wanted me to take a look at. The customer had recently received a coupon in the mail for $100 off any service and wanted to use it at this time. Upon signing, I started the work by installing the two pico, remote brackets for the customer by removing two of the existing switches that the customer was not using. One of them I capped off both the line and the load side and the other, which was a three-way I Connected all three wires so the secondary switch could work. After installing the remotes, I installed the screwless brackets for the customer that he had purchased on both locations. The last task was checking the wiring on one of the three-way set ups that the customer tried to perform. The customer had wired it incorrectly and wanted to see if I could straighten out the wiring. I turned off the power to the switches in this box and rework the wiring on the switch s

Added wet switch and ss1 to system. Replaced dual capacitor. Cleaned condenser coil. System is operating properly

Performed 1 system homecare: I flushed the drain line with 2 gallons of water. I tested the heat and cooling. I checked the homeowner media filter (will need to be replaced in about 1 month). I checked the electrical components on the heating and the air conditioning system. I checked the refrigerant pressures. Findings: I found that the blower motor capacitor is outside of the manufacturer’s specifications and needs to be replaced before it completely fails. I also found that the outside condenser coil is dirty and needs to be cleaned. I also recommend that the homeowner considers to updating their current AC system flood protection (current flood protection setup is inadequate/ in techs expert opinion). Homeowner declined repairs and flood protection today but did sign up for the homecare plan. Tech emailed the homeowner estimates.

Dug up area that was marked by leak detection. Dug a 2ftx2ftx3ft deep hole in attempt to locate the water service. Pipe was not in the marked location. Further excavation found both the pipe and the leak approx 3ft away from the initial marked area. Cut out damaged section of 1in poly pipe and repaired with new piping and fittings. Wrapped fittings to protect against corrosion and verified no further leaks on the service line. Backfilled and tamped hole and laid the removed sod back in place. Advised client that they may have some settling in the dirt as it rains over the next few weeks. Per client request we left excess dirt in a pile under the tree in the front yard.
Great service from Wayne. Highly recommended.
