Single system inspection main floor. Found 2994 Lennox system with cracked heat exchanger, high amp draw on inducer motor, no flood protection, play in blower motor shaft, dirty blower, dirty ac, burnt contactor, chewed up electric whip, r22 system with very rusty evap coil. Suggested replacement of equipment. Customer to get quote on new equipment appointment set for November 10 at 8am advised customer not to operate heat on main floor due to safety concern of cracked heat exchanger. Left thermostat in off position

I came out today due to the door bell not functioning. The button was in very poor shape so a new one was supplied and installed today. I went to the chime which is located in the hallway on the main floor and turned the volume up to the max so the customer could hear it. I replaced the way outdated smoke detectors in the home. I installed a smoke and Carbon on the top floor along with the main level. I removed the one in the garage and installed a round white blank plate.

We troubleshooted the outlets in the office. Two of them were not working. After inspecting the outlets. We found out there was a loose connection in one of the outlets. This was caused by the outlet having back stabbed connection. We remade the wires in the outlet box so that if the outlet stops working. It continues power down the circuit. We curled the wires and used the screws for the new outlet for better connection. We also check voltage on all the breakers at the panel.

We installed three fixtures in the home. Customer supplied the fixtures. We took the old fixtures down and put the new ones up. Two inside the hallways inside the home. One outside in the back patio. We also waterproofed caulked the fixture outside to keep water and moisture out of it. We also discussed other concerns with the home to the homeowner.

The customer complained that the master toilet was dripping for a while after being flushed. She also stated that there was a rubber ring loose in the toilet tank. On inspection we found that the hall bath toilet was experiencing similar issues. We found that the ring was a part of the flush valve seal that had deteriorated, and that the fill valves were also experiencing issues with functionality. We gave multiple options for repair. The customer also stated their water bill for last month was high. We turned the toilets off and checked the water meter. After observing for ten minutes we saw no water flow. The high water bill is likely due to the toilet issues. Work performed: installed two new kohler toilets, secured flanges to the floor, installed new water supply lines and caulked toilets to the floor.

During our visit, a new 50 gallon gas water heater was installed in the basement. The old (11 year old) tank was removed and hauled away. An anode warranty extension kit was added on the new water heater to extend the manufacturer warranty to 10 years. A pan was also installed along with a leak alarm. The old pressure reducing valve was also replaced. A new brass, dual chamber pressure reducing valve was installed and set to 65 psi. Each fixture was purged after the water was turned back on. Install fixture to vanity top or lavatory, set pop up assembly, connect with new braided stainless steel supply lines, test for proper function, and clean up work area. Homeowner had a recent flood in garage ceiling. We will be inspecting the ceiling outlet that powers the door opener. We will be inspecting the main panel in the home in the garage. Upon inspection everything looked good. Door opener outlet looked good. No corrosion and connections were good. The main panel looked good. All connections were good and no corrosion.

Troubleshoot Outlets Not Working

Replaced kohler shower cartridge in upstairs hall bathroom and tested.

Today we came out and signed client up for homecare service and performed first homecare. Inspected all electrical components and connections tested capacitors found both capacitors weak damaging blower motors. Blower motor for second level is over amping and could fail at anytime. Cleaned flame sensors, fuel rail, inducer ports and checked gas pressures. Inspected all ductwork found main level system does not have enough return air three 10” on a 3 ton causing furnace to over heat in addition neither system has return plenums causing equipment to run hot and restricting air flow. Inspected heat exchangers found severe metal fatigue and hot spots. Heat exchangers are compromised and could fail at anytime. Cleaned drain lines, checked each zone thermostat for proper calibration. Checked exhaust piping and all was up to current code. Properly Performed spring/fall maintenance on a whole system. Replaced the air filter, checked blower wheels for built up dirt/dust, cleaned flame sensors, cleared inducer ports, tested hot surface igniters, took delta Ts, cleared drain lines, tested safety switches, tested all electrical components, tightened all electrical connections, took running volts/amps, monitored systems operations.

Provided estimate to replace existing split bus panel either upgrading the service or just replacing main panel.

Shut off water connections, drain down home, cut out damaged section of piping, use copper connections, make repair, check joints, pressurize system, check for leaks and clean up work area. Add new 2 gallon thermal expansion tank, properly pressurize and secure to structure. (Customer had a leak on the hot side pex line in the garage ceiling. Turned water off to the home, spliced new pex pipe in, installed new thermal expansion tank to bring water heater up to code. Not Heating Main level - 29 year old Rheem gas furnace and AC, system not heating due to age. System has cracked/failed heat exchanger, cracked inducer fan motor, and faulty door switch. The blower wheel and motor is extremely dirty and the motor is seeping oil from the main seal. The heat exchanger has multiple cracked/busted areas that are allowing small amounts of exhaust to enter the air stream “carbon monoxide”. The system is also having an intermittent issue with the pressure switch. The pressure switch is original to the equipment. Over all at 29 years old, given the age, condition, and cost of repairs, I recommended updating this equipment. I left this equipment in the off position. During our visit, the customer brought me to the water heater where it had leaked onto the floor in the garage. Considering the severity of the leak, and age of the water heater, replacement was necessary. Multiple estimates were provided and presented to the customer. An estimate was approved and work began. A new 50 gallon electric water heater was installed in the garage. An anode warranty extension kit was added to extend the manufacture warranty to 10 years. No heat. Upon arrival found system giving high limit error code. Found that heat would start but blower motor never came on. Tested electrical components and found failed blower capacitor. Inspected all other electrical for signs of burnt wires or motor failure. No drain safeties on system, Quoted repairs and recommended replacing motor as well. customer concerned about burnt smell, found no evidence that smell was coming from hvac system. Replaced capacitor and system started up and ran as it should.
