Performed 1 system diagnostic for whole home found 25 year old furnace. Was zoned at one point. Main level thermostat inoperable. Single control for upstairs only, found value pipe to be single wall, pitted and burnt contactor, high head pressure due to dirty condenser, and no water safeties. Dude to age and inefficiency of unit recommend replacing system and rezoning unit. Custimer did not want to continue with any repairs at this time. Stated husbands would do the repairs. But would still like an estimate for replacement and reasoning. Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system.

Complete new service with existing panel

Homeowner had us out today because their system is not cooling. Upon arrival we noticed that there is a four year-old Lennox heat pump system in the home that is currently not running. We noticed that the emergency drain pan was full of water and the safety was engaged. We drained water and cleared drain. We checked the outdoor unit and noticed that the refrigerant pressures were slightly low and we also did a quick leak search on the coil and found a small leak. The coil is on back order for five weeks. We also noticed that the 35/5 capacitor was failing and out of range And the outdoor coil needed to be cleaned.

Replace breaker

Service upgrade

Run deducted circuits for the master bath and garage, install a new bathroom fan and finish remaining work from last week.

Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system. Performed 1 system diagnostic for unit that is for the left side of the house where the kitchen is located. Found burnt transformer, no safety switches or pan, gas connections improper inside of furnace cabinets, failed run capacitor, blower motor drawing high amps, dirty blower, thermostat wiring was too short . Home owner used stranded to try and connect low voltage, outdoor unit is R22 but is low on charge. System is 31 years old. The unit that controls the right side of home is also 31 years old. Due to the cost of repair age of unit, and the extensive work needing to be done. Customer would like install supervisor to come and quote unit. Left side unit is non operational at this time.
Noted above. He returned early the following morning and fixed (I hope) the leak this time with some putty et al.

Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system.

Furnace installed Drain line cleared and rerouted to the main drain

Upon arrival found breaker tripped. Before I reset the breaker I checked the capacitor. Found the cap to be bad, replaced cap and reset breaker system started up, let system run for about 45 min noticed that my pressures were abnormal. Had very high head pressure and sub cooling, superheat was low. Rinsed down the outdoor coil and let run. Same subcooling and super heat. Checked my Delta T that was also high. Determined that the system may have a restriction and the compressor is on it way out. Recommended recovering refrigerant, replacing compressor, filter dryer, capacitor and contactor. Also recommend adding a hard start. At this time customer chose to do the bandaid option and just change the capacitor. Informed customer that the system still has some issues and is not going to run correctly. Left quote for full repair. Customer will reach out when ready.

Full System install. Install new drain pan, condensate pump, thermostat , safety switches, combo switch, and re-install the media filter cabinet. Transition back to the supply and return plenums. Insulate few duct runs and the supply plenum. Add on new 10in return boot by the stairs. Braze, pressure with nitrogen, vacuum, and charge the system. We Adjust blower speed. We test unit on heat and cool. We also test the condensate pump and the safety switches. Unit is currently working.

Completed homecare maintenance for two systems in the home. Fully tested heat and cool from thermostats. Found the upstairs level furnace at 17 years old with motors that are beginning to fail and inform customer that it may be time to think about replacing due to the cost of repairs. The main level system is brand new and found no immediate failures or issues with this unit. Adding air purifier to the system, will significantly improve overall air quality in the system and keep your new unit clean. Found the drain line extremely clogged to the upstairs level and today we cleared that drain using nitrogen. I was unable to get the clog out with pressure and I substituted the drain for the secondary drain that was already in the attic. Today, I also installed flood protections for the upstairs level system.

Replaced two GFCI receptacles and bubble covers.

Replaced GFCI.

Mr. Basulto was very professional and proficient in getting my basement furnace installed yesterday. There was an initial problem in getting the first unit to work. Thanks for a job well done.
