Troubleshoot, replace burnt outlet
Replaced bad defrost board, bad outdoor capacitor and bad contactor for heat strips at air handler. Made all necessary repairs for system and unit us back up and heating. Replaced (20x20x1) system filter. Advised customer that drain needs to be properly elevated and flushed. Recommended repairs for drain system, customer declined recommendations at this time.
Upon arrival customer stated that heat stopped working last night. Stated that it has been running fine u til we reached the colder temperatures. After inspection of 7 year old heat pump system found that system had a bad defrost board. When I tried to manually the board into defrost mode it would not go into defrost. It would just turn off the outdoor system. Outdoor capacitor is testing bad, outdoor contactor was very pitted. Blower wheel was clean, evaporator coil is clean, blower motor capacitor tested good with no issues. Drain line inside p trap was a little clogged, drain line does not have enough elevation to drain properly. There is no in line flood protection on system, unit does have a float switch in drain pan. Recommended new defrost board, outdoor capacitor, outdoor contactor, wet pan switch, in line float switch, drain line elevation, customer only wanted to have defrost board and capacitor installed at this time. Will order board and follow up with customer tomorrow for

Tech completed full furnace inspection. Tech noticed lots of repairs needed at furnace area. Plus furnace heat exchanger has lots of rust and corrosion potentially leading to fire hazard. Tech noticed pinhole leaks inside furnace burner area, this can lead to cracks inside heat exchanger and potential fire hazard… customer wants to schedule a CA out tomorrow between 12-2pm for full system quote… Please review email, to respond to any estimates you can do so by email or call-in to reschedule appointments. Tech returned at schedule time to install indoor furnace control board. Tech tested system in heat and cooling modes. System came on and is operating at this time of visit. Please see via email for pic, recommendations. We apologize again for any inconvenience.
Tech arrived to problem call for entire home. System is located in crawlspace for entire home. Furnace is roughly 40 years old and non operational. Verified thermostat is calling at unit. No pilot lit and no action from blower motor. Blower assembly is completely corroded and covered with debris. Checked heat exchanger and found heat exchanger completed corroded and rusted. Several duct runs are hanging together by duct tape and barely together. AC system is roughly 15 years old and using R410. Spoke to homeowner over the going and homeowner agreed to have quote on system replacement. Scheduled consultation for tomorrow 11-2. System is non operational and not heating. Replace faulty breaker
Home Care - Single system Spring/ Fall Maintenance. Completed the HVAC heating and cooling inspection checklist. I ran the system in heat and cooling for 30 minutes and the system is operating according to specifications. I flushed the drain line with two gallons of water. I added drain cleaning tablets and endure to the system to assure it’s draining properly. Please refer to my Inspection checklist for more details. I replaced the capacitor(unit starter) and added a hard-start(compressor saver) and a wet switch(Flood protection). The system is a little low on refrigerant which can mean that theirs is a leak in the system. I quoted the customer for an evaporator coil replacement. He declined at this time.

Run k45 cable inside sink drain , clearing special Customer was experiencing a partial blockage in mainline affecting both sinks in master and hallway bathroom. Ran k45 cable in master bath sink drain, cleared blockage. Upon retrieving cable we brought back a plastic object. Assembled pTrap and tested for leaks. Clearing was successful. Both systems also have a trap that is not up to code and the blower wheels have lots of dust/dirt buildup. Informed customer of the heat exchangers and that the heat cannot be run at this time safely.

Client has us out today he’s in the process of moving into his new home and is needing a gas line ram for his stove. He stated the fire place is less than 10’ away so he was hoping we could tie off of it. Unfortunately during my inspection I found that whoever originally ran the gas ran the supply to the fire place in 1/4” soft copper so we would not be able to tie onto it due to starving one of btus when needed if ran on the same line. I found the main to be in the mechanical closet where the furnace and wh are and there is a 1” black iron main coming in we can tie off of. I presented options and today client declined the has work and just wanted to go with replacing the prv for the home. Work is done and water is back on with no leaks.
Tech arrived to perform home care maintenance on one system in home. System is approximately 7 years old located in utility closet for entire home. Customer reports no issues at this time. Inspected system.noticed drain line went from 3/4 to 1/2 before going to washer/dryer connection. Noticed inadequate water safeties on system. Noticed dirty indoor blower assembly. Noticed single wall flue pipe connected to water heater. Tested heating operations, no issues. Flushed drain line and verified safety. Changed filter 16x25x1. Checked cooling. Inspected outdoor unit. Unit in good condition and fully operational. No issues outside at the moment. Brought recommendations for customer. Customer initially wanted to clean blower wheel and add SS1 safety to system, water is off to complex at time of visit and blower wheel cleaning could not be done, did not charge for today. Went with SS1 installation only. Installed SS1 water safety and tied in with wet switch. Verified safeties. System is ope
Customer have food in the main kitchen drain line that was making the sink back up. Upon arrival I took apart. The P-trap and the P-trap was clean and then I determined that it was a blockage in the main drain line for the kitchen sink that was making the water drain slowly so I ran my drain cable down the kitchen drain to poke freeze the food that was blocking it up and after running water, the drain was working normally with no leaks
Completed service call After completing evaluation, found that the system will need several ductwork replaced and repair. Also return and supply plenum Will need to be upsized original metal ductwork is wrapped with asbestos tape AC and coil would need to be upsized filter cabinet. will need to be installed along with Apcox air scrubber UV light. Client would like a supervisor to come out and cover the new system due to the high prices condition of the system for repairs. Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system.
Carlos Garcia has completed several electrical projects at our home. All have been completed well, as requested and he leaves the area very clean. We will call for him again for any future electrical needs.
