As I arrived today, it was explained to me that power has been off to the house for close to a week. After opening up the electrical panel in the garage and also opening up the meter base on the outside of the house where power comes in from the power company. I found the main master breaker in the meter base was tripped. I turned all of the breakers off and the electrical panel in the garage and I reset the main breaker at the meter base. Once I did that, I went back into the garage area and started turning on each breaker one by one until I got to the 60 amp furnace breaker. Once that was turned on that breaker it kicked back very hard tripping and also tripped the main master breaker in the meterbase again! Once I got into the attic space to examine the furnace I found the disconnect controlling power to the furnace was damaged severely. Inside furnace disconnect, I found severe melting and wires that have been touching to the point where they arched out and blew holes in each oth

As I arrived today, it was explained to me that the breaker controlling the 20 amp circuit I install installed Monday installed directly below the electrical panel tripped a couple times after the refrigerator was plugged in. I removed the dual function breaker and installed a standard breaker for the 20 amp circuit. I also then removed the standard duplex receptacle and installed a GFI receptacle in its spot which is all that is required in a garage. All votes are normal on the circuit and all equipment is in good shape along with all connections being tight. While I was here, I also installed a customer supplied ceiling fan in the master bedroom. Once the existing fan was removed, I installed the new one. Made all connections and the ceiling fan worked properly. It was great seeing both of you again! If I can ever help you with anything else, please feel free to give me a call anytime. Thank you, Brandon

As I arrived today, it was explained to me that the garage GFCI receptacle keeps tripping when the refrigerator is plugged into it. The refrigerator worked fine in the kitchen area where it was plugged into. Everything in the garage along with the kitchen, lights, hallway, lights and guest bathroom or also on that same breaker. I’m installed a new 20 amp dual function breaker in the electrical panel and directly below the panel install installed a new duplex white receptacle. To make space in the electrical panel for the dual function breaker I had to put a 15 amp tandem breaker. Once all of this was done the receptacle and breakers worked properly. I was also shown a fan upstairs in the master bedroom that was not working. The light on the fan would work properly, but the fan would not. Both switches were functioning properly along with power at the fan. The fan itself is defective. I have attached an estimate to replace the fan and also install a metal rated fan box if there is not

No Cool Diagnostic Summary Came out to a no-cool complaint and found the system actively freezing up during operation. This is a 2021 Carrier CH14NB024-A, 2-ton R-410A heat pump. After going through the system, I found several conditions that are affecting cooling performance and placing additional stress on the equipment. On the refrigerant side, I measured only 1.5°F of subcooling, while the manufacturer calls for approximately 11°F. With the system freezing up and the charge readings this far below target, the system appears to be low on refrigerant. I also observed residue around the outdoor service-valve area, which makes that area suspicious for a possible refrigerant leak. I recommend performing a complete leak search before adding refrigerant so the source of the loss can be properly identified and repaired. The system was also operating without an air filter installed. Because of this, dust and debris have been allowed to enter the return side of the system. The evaporator

Arrive to continue diagnostic on a no cool. After wiring up the unit correctly and inspecting and diagnosing the system I found that the blower motor is bad. The bearings have gone out. Further inspection showed that the zone board was faulty. With both zones off the board still calls for cooling in zone one causing the blower motor to continue running and not the compressor. Recommendations: – replace zone board – Replace blower motor. Transformer was also blown from previous text as well as the blower motor being bad so transformer also had to be replaced in order to finish diagnostic. Customer decided to have system straight wired and upon doing that the condenser did not cut on. Upon inspection I found that defrost board was burned out. Both the defrost board and the blower motor were replaced, unit was straight waited and system is now operating and cooling.

As we arrived today, it was explained to us that two receptacles in the house were having problems and even sparking a little bit. We found that the kitchen receptacle was burned pretty significantly on one side. They receptacle and the bedroom did not have any signs of problems, but it was stabbed in the back, which is not good. This is the receptacle that was explained. It would spark a little bit every now and then. We replaced the receptacle in the kitchen that was burnt and we went ahead just to be safe and replaced the receptacle in the bedroom and no extra cost. While we were here, I also talked to her about installing a whole home, surge protector in the meter base outside. This will help protect the house from surges from the power company and lightning. We installed the new search, protector, in the meter base outside. All receptacles and the service detector worked properly once they were installed.

No-Cool Diagnostic Summary Came out to a no-cool call on a 3-ton Goodman zoned heat pump system. The customer stated that they normally operate only one zone at a time and that the system has been running continuously while trying to satisfy the cooling demand. During the inspection, I found the 20×20×1 air filter extremely dirty and heavily restricted, which was significantly reducing airflow through the system. The system is controlled by a Honeywell HZ322 zoning system, and operating only one zone at a time can increase static pressure and place additional strain on the equipment if airflow is not properly balanced. The dual capacitor was found completely failed and requires immediate replacement. The contactor also requires replacement. The outdoor heat pump was operating extremely loud and appeared to be working harder than normal. The outdoor condenser coil requires cleaning, the indoor blower wheel requires cleaning, and the condensate drain line should be cleaned and flushe

Came out to a no-cool service call and performed a diagnostic inspection of the HVAC system. Findings * Found standing water in the secondary drain pan, indicating a condensate drainage issue that will need to be addressed to help prevent potential water damage. * The air filter was extremely dirty, restricting airflow through the system. * The system does not currently have TE Certified Flood Protection installed. * The system does not have an indoor air quality system installed. * The outdoor unit has a failed/weak capacitor that requires replacement. * The contactor tested outside of proper operating range and requires replacement. * Due to the compressor startup condition, a hard start kit is recommended to reduce startup stress and assist the compressor during initial operation. * Standing refrigerant pressures were checked and appeared reasonable while the system was off. However, standing pressures alone cannot confirm proper refrigerant charge. Recommendations Recommend cor

Service Summary / Findings & Recommendations Came out to inspect the HVAC system and found that the newly installed Nest thermostats were not programmed correctly for the Rheem heat pump and zoning system. I corrected the thermostat programming and verified proper system operation. After making the necessary adjustments, I ran the system and checked the temperature split. The system is producing a 17°F Delta-T and is currently cooling and operating according to specifications. Additional findings: * Blower wheel is dirty and would benefit from a professional cleaning to maintain proper airflow. * Outdoor condenser coil is dirty and should be cleaned to maintain heat transfer and efficiency. Rheem recommends keeping the outdoor coil clean as part of routine maintenance. * Outdoor capacitor is testing slightly weak and should be monitored/replaced before it falls outside acceptable operating tolerance. * System currently does not have TE Certified Flood Protection to help protect th

The homeowner requested an inspection due to concerns about possible HVAC-related water damage. A comprehensive inspection of the HVAC system was performed, including testing the condensate pump, verifying condensate drainage, inspecting the surrounding area, and using an inspection camera inside the opened wall beneath the stairs. The condensate pump was operating properly, and the condensate discharge was confirmed to be flowing freely after clearing the buried discharge outlet. I also inspected approximately 2–3 feet above the visible water damage inside the wall cavity and found no additional signs of moisture or water intrusion, indicating that the damage is isolated to the lower section of the wall. Based on today’s inspection, I could not determine that the HVAC system is the source of the water damage. The evidence observed suggests the moisture is more consistent with surface water collecting along the side of the home and migrating toward the foundation, particularly in the
