Customer has 14 y/o Lennox heat pump system that operates for upper level. System is not cooling properly due to refrigerant loss. Noticed rusted evaporator coil, which was replaced 3 years ago. Inspection found significant mold presence. Heat strips are corroded. Blower wheel is dirty. Water protection is poor. Filter was very dirty. Dual capacitor is bad. Condenser coils are dirty. Informed customer of all findings. Recommend customer seek options to upgrade system. Customer declined quote at this time. Charged 4 lbs. of 410A refrigerant.

Water hammering when the washer is on. Cut the drywall behind the washer, insulated and strapped the pipes. Also secured the washer box properly in the wall. Tested with no further water hammering.

Completed repairs including cleaning condenser coils and extending ductwork for upstairs system. Tested after completing repairs and no failures at this time.

Perform two system home care. Replaced two 16 x 25 x 1 filters. Tested both drain lines. Main floor unit is pulling high starting amps. Recommended start assist. Showed homeowner videos of upstairs unit pulling about three over and then main floor is pulling 17 or so over. Start assist was able to reduce amp draw for the main floor system by 30 Amps. Noticed outdoor line set had no doghouse cover. Recommended doghouse cover. The other line set has pool noodle insulation recommended replacing with UV Arma flex. Current temperature is 56°, refrigerant pressures look lower than they actually are. Informed homeowner I cannot determine if unit is lower refrigerant based on outdoor weather conditions, I asked if she had any issues cooling, she expressed no. I expressed that she reach out to me if she has any issues when the heat wave rolls around.

We installed a Zurn Wilkins PRV and insulated the hot, cold, and recirc water lines. PRV set at 70, Expansion tank set at 75. Checked for leaks and verified each component was functioning properly. For this job, we worked on replacing customer provided ceiling fan in upstairs bedroom along with installing a ceiling fan rated box. left estimates to install a new Switchleg, that way customer has second switch to operate the light separate from the motor. also to change outlets and switches in the home that customer will provide as well. Last estimate left was to change the panel due to current panel is CH and having a slight overheated mark on the bottom of the panel.
