Replaced compressor that was quoted yesterday. Unit did not have a filter line drier so it caused the compressor to fail prematurely. Brazed out old compressor and brazed in new compressor while flowing nitrogen. Added filter line drier. Pressure tested to 250psi and unit held pressure. Vacuumed unit to 480 microns and it held. Started unit up and added refrigerant to match manufacturing specs. System has 15 degrees superheat and 10 degrees subcool. System is cooling properly at this time.

Cleaned sump pump pit and installed new sewage ejector pump. Added a check valve to the discharge line and plumbed to a runoff drain.

No cool upstairs found breaker in off position. Started system up checked operations and left all equipment operational.

Quote only call. Homeowner received a quote from a previous company to replace compressor but called us instead. Gave homeowner our price and he approved the repair. I checked the condition of the evaporator coil and there are no leaks present at this time. Homeowner is aware of the rusted condition of the evaporator coil but does not want quotes for a new system at this time. I have called Trane supply in Duluth and put the part on a PO.

Today I installed a new grounding system as the home had no grounding system when I arrived, and I installed a surge protector in both of the main panel and the sub panel

Installed new shower valve and trim in guest bathroom. There was no access to the valve on the backside so I had to cut tile and install a remodel plate.

Replaced existing garbage disposal in the main floor kitchen with 3/4 HP

We troubleshot and left estimates to replace the main panel and fix outdoor wiring and outlets

Inspection visit on Generac 26Kw standby generator

Due to the visible damage of the service entrance cable from a tree falling on the power line and pulling the service cable off of the house. We can not see what other damages are done to the cable on the interior of the home. The panel that was originally installed with the home needs to be replaced as well due to it being outdated and not having a main shutoff. All items on this estimate are required by the authority having jurisdiction to replace with doing a service replacement per code requirements. We recommend doing a full service replacement. This will replace the damaged cable, install a new meter with a service disconnect outside, a new panel with breakers, smoke and smoke/carbon monoxide alarms, surge protector and updated grounding system.

6/9/25. Leak coming through basement ceiling below main level bathroom. Cut open the ceiling and discovered cast iron piping leaking. Recommend replacing the section of cast iron with pvc piping. 6/10/25. Today, I removed a larger section of sheetrook ceiling. Removed the damage section of the cast iron drain line and replaced with pvc piping. Removed and replaced the toilet flange. Reset the toilet onto the flange with new flange bolts. Turned on the water and tested the line thoroughly by flushing and running the sink. Tested with no leaks.

Arrived to replace leaking evaporator coil. Began by picking up coil from Apex and drove on site. Once on site I began by recovering just under 6lbs of r410a. After refrigerant was recovered I cut out the old coil and the old drier. The old coil was an N coil and the replacement was an A coil. The new coil was taller so I had to make some adjustments to the supply plenum but was able to make it fit. Once we brazed in the new coil and drier while flowing nitrogen I pressure tested the system with 400lbs of nitrogen and let it hold for 10-15 minutes while we checked for leaks. After confirming that the system had no leaks, I hooked up the vacuum and pulled a vacuum down to 320 microns. With the pump and hoses disconnected the system stayed pulled down to 400 microns for 10 minutes before we weighed in factory charge. The system calls code 9lbs and 12oz. We added a few ounces to account for the lineset length. We hooked back up the drains, flue pipe when all other secondary and tertiary

Came to residence today for lights flickering in kitchen and bathroom, upon further inspection found that the thermo sensor was going bad in the lights and causing it to flicker. To fix this we swapped the guts out of the cans having problems to stop the flickering.

Customer was experiencing a mainline blockage affecting kitchen sink and laundry washer drain. Ran k400 cable in kitchen sink, cleared blockage. Pulled back cast iron sludge. Ran water for long duration of time after clearing blockage. No active blockage after clearing.

Today we came out for left side of the house not cooling. Found failed Lennox communicating thermostat and failed Lennox I harmony zone board. Customer had storms come through over the weekend. Left customer repair options.

The upstairs hallway toilet is leaking down through the ceiling from a broken supply line. I shut off the water and drained the system, removed the supply line and shut off valve for the toilet. Replaced both parts, turned on the water and pressurized the water system. Tested the toilet, no further leaks detected.

I was called out to Bill’s house for a Homecare maintenance. During the evaluation we discovered there was some growth inside the air handler, the filter was dirty, the flood protection needed updated to our new policy, and the compressor would benefit from a superboost since it runs year round. Today I replaced the air filter and added the wet switch since we installed the upstairs system.
