I was pointed to the hallway, bathroom shower, where the tub spout had failed. The customer had provided a new shower valve. After providing options and upon approval, we opened up the drywall behind the shower valve and replaced the shower valve. We also resealed the shower enclosure, removing the old sealant cleaning the area, then applying white and clear silicone to appropriate locations. Tested everything for leaks and proper function no further issues at this time.

Kitchen undercabinet light far left corner is not working as intended. We will give the customer an option to get the light replace replaced. Back left corner of the home floodlight is not working as intended. Customer notified me that she had someone try to replace the bulb and the light fixture still did not come on. Customer showed me four light fixtures in her closet, location that are incorrectly installed. Three of the lights do not work as intended. There is not an existing light switch at this location so we will be giving the customer an option to have a motion detection light installed inside of the closet. Customer had a new electrical panel installed. Customer does not have whole home surge protection, so I will give them an option to get that. After removal of existing floodlight, we noticed that there was no junction box properly set for the new fixture to be installed into. They drilled directly into the soffit, which is not code compliant. We will be installing a new

Troubleshoot dishwasher

Today I came out to replace single wall flue pipe for main level system located in the garage. Mr. Zach informed me the water heater was getting replaced and it tied into the flue pipe for the furnace which both had single wall. I replaced single wall for both furnace and new water heater. Given the age of the system, I also inspected the furnace and found several cracks in the heat exchanger. I showed Mr. Zach the cracks and explained how carbon monoxide can leak through the cracks getting into the home. I performed a carbon monoxide test in the main level and it got up to 5 ppm of carbon monoxide. This signifies there is in fact carbon monoxide leaking throughout. We got an install manager out today to quote replacing the systems. Mr. Zach wanted me to go ahead and replace the flue pipe today and worked has been completed. Homeowner has a stop valve that is consistently leaking. I replaced both the hot and cold stop valves for the vanity. Homeowner has a pressure regulator that is older, however it is still working. The main shutoff for the house is an older style gate valve. I replaced the pressure regulator with a double union watts 25AUB, set to 60 PSI, and I replaced the main shutoff valve with a new quarter turn shutoff valve. Homeowner has a water heater, 50 gallon natural gas, that is from 2013. I replaced the water heater with a new 50 gallon natural gas water heater from Rheem. I added an additional anode rod for a warranty extension. I replaced the shutoff valve for the cold water inlet with a new quarter turn valve, and added an additional quarter turn shutoff valve to the hot side. I replaced the expansion tank and strapped it to a bracket that is mounted to a stud. I charged the expansion tank to 70 PSI. Cleared blockage in mop sink located in utility closet. Pulled rag out of drain. Flow has been restored.

No heat on the main level heat pump. Low voltage wire came loose from the fuse and not allowing low voltage power to the system. Reconnected wire and system works with no issue. Tested system multiple times. System is heating and cooling properly. Signed up customer for home care maintenance plan for both systems in the house.

Removed old duct board plenum with biological growth and installed metal supply plenum. Added return. Now have enough return air. Installed TE flood protection. Cleaned blower wheel and housing. Installed blower motor and capacitor. Upped blower speed. Repaired drain and strapped better. Checked operations.

Upstairs - Not Heating 1997 Amana gas furnace not heating due to age. The system is going off on high limit. The heat exchanger is compromised with rust holes and small cracks. The blower wheel is extremely impacted with debris and this is also causing high temperatures inside the furnace due to lower air flow. The burners and burner assembly are also rusted and deteriorating. The igniter is a hybrid pilot light that is not up to current code. Due to the age, (29 years old), condition, and parts availability, I recommended updating this equipment. No cool. Upon arrival found Lennox ac system that is 10 years old low on r410a refrigerant. Recommend getting quote for new system due to age and conditions. Quoted nitrogen leak check in case customer would like to move forward with repair. Customer opted in for visit from install supervisor to go over options. System does not have flood protection, quoted repairs.

Performed blower wheel cleaning for main and upper levels. Installed gas sediment traps for main and upper levels. Installed b-vent flue for main level system and water heater. Tested heating. Systems are currently working.

Arrived on site to troubleshoot issues with kitchen lights, garbage disposal, and vent hood. Upon inspection, we noticed the witch box connections were loose. This was the same for the dining room switches. We made new connections inside the box for kitchen and dining room lights. We installed two customer supplied switches in the kitchen and one in the dining area. We tested the switches and they are working as they should. I discussed with the homeowner about his electrical panel. Due to the age, I recommended him to start preparing for a replacement in the future.

Performed work

Today we came out for main level not heating found draft inducer motor locked up. Reinstalled as a temporary fix, inspected heat exchanger with digital camera found severe metal fatigue and hot spots due to equipment being 20 years old. Equipment needs to be updated scheduled install supervisor to give options on updating and left band aid option

Replaced kitchen faucet in kitchen

Raised flange to the proper height using extension kit. Reinstalled toilet and tested. Investigated loud knocking sound that continues in the garage area even after the installation of a new pressure reducing valve. Checked the thermal expansions tank and found that while it still appeared functional, it was not inflated to the proper pressure. Inflated tank with an air compressor up to 70psi (house pressure 65) to see if knocking sound in the night could be related to thermal expansion building up during periods of little use.

Troubleshoot outlets outside not working properly and GFCI tripping for basement bathroom/kitchenette. Replace outlets at front porch and back porch, install new boxes(2), weather rated devices(3), and bubble covers(3) Replace boxes and gfi outlets in kitchen (3) Replace (2) 3 way switches for hallway. Replace led can trim in basement. Replace dimmer in basement with new switch. Replace gfi outlet in basement bath (recommend additional circuits installed for kitchenette) Discount troubleshooting fee upon completion of these items,

We redeviced the primary and second bedroom after a troubleshoot turned up several issues with outlets and switches.

Installed Outlet for Disposal

Customer called us out to find the source of a sewer smell in office bathroom. I inspected all fixtures in the bathroom and found the toilet was the source. While inspecting I also noticed the right sink had blue plastic and the stopper wasn’t connected and the left sink the stopper wasn’t connected. I recommended replacing the wax ring for the toilet, attaching the stoppers for both sinks and removing the plastic from the ptrap. Customer agreed. I removed the toilet and found that the flange was below floor level and scheduled a service plumber to come out same day. I removed the ptrap on the right sink and took the washers out of it and installed the stoppers correctly on both sinks. I tested for any leaks and cleaned up.

Upon arrival, I was pointed to the kitchen sink where one of the tubular connections had popped apart. Upon approval, we took apart all of the tubular connections, cleaning them and reinstalling them properly. We also discovered that the disposal discharge line was installed in properly. We corrected this issue. Tested everything for leaks and proper function.

Cleared blockage in upstairs master bathroom toilet with closet auger

Homeowner had water leaking through foundation wall. When we turned off the water at the house we could still hear water. Went out to the meter and found that the meter was broken along with the curb stop as well. I was able to hear the water moving through the meter. This told me that there was a leak on the main line near the foundation wall. I was able to shut off the water at the meter. I then excavated near the front hose bibb. I located the water service which was leaking. I cut out and replaced approximately 2’ of pipe. Installed new type L copper. Pressurized the line and allowed time to verify. Backfilled and returned to grade.
