Customer called us out for a clog in the downstairs bathroom grouping. I checked the bathroom and it was clogged. I searched the area and found a backed up sewage ejector pump in the garage. I tested the plug and it was working. I bypassed the switch and plugged the motor directly in and it still did not run. I recommended a replacement. Customer was not the home owner. I talked to the homeowner and they agreed to do the work. I removed the lid and the pump. Then set up the new pump and installed it. Put on the new lid and siliconed it in place. Tested the pump and it worked perfectly. Cleaned up throughly.

Noise complaint- 2021 Lennox Arrived for a noise complaint. Customer described the noise as a rattle when system is running. I ran the system and could only hear the ac unit running. The unit is right outside the master bedroom. Did a full inspection and found both damper motors do not work. The blower wheel is dirty and needs cleaned. The drain system for the furnace needs corrected and correct parts need to be inside the drain pan area. Customer also lack adequate water safety devices to prevent structure damage should drain issue arise again. The system is single stage and zoned. The description of the noise could be airflow related or harmonics from the return vent. Without the system working as designed and the noise not present it maybe hard to track. Customer will try to record the noise so we can help pinpoint where it is coming from. Email estimates for customer to look over and possibly make a decision.

Diagnostic completed. The combination of superheat and sub cooling with the unit indicates the system is low on refrigerant. System has been low on refrigerant before, and it was filled approximately four years ago. This means that the leak is likely small and will be difficult to find. The condenser coil is very dirty, though the suction and liquid pressures indicate that there is also a major restriction somewhere in the refrigerant lines. Due to the potential cost to try and repair the unit, along with the age of it, the decision was made to discuss further options with the project manager. Thank you for choosing TE certified!

Arrived on site and spoke with the homeowner regarding a leak they observed in the basement hallway drop ceiling. The homeowner stated that a repair had been completed in this area approximately two years ago. We began by removing the saturated ceiling material in the affected area to locate the source of the leak. Upon inspection, we identified a 3/4” copper service line running through a wood joist that was actively dripping. We informed the homeowner of the failed section of piping and discussed recommended repairs, including replacing both existing SharkBite connections on the hot and cold service lines. The homeowner approved moving forward with replacing the affected section. Water to the home was isolated and the system was fully drained. Once drained, we removed the failed section of piping and installed new copper piping with proper copper transition fittings to ensure a secure and long lasting repair. After completing the installation, we slowly restored water to the syst

No Cool- 2019 Lennox Arrived and talked the customer about the issues she was having. It was mentioned the system would not drain properly, system was freezing up and she could not get the filter in and out easily. I performed a full inspection. I found the system does not have the correct drain setup and no condensate pump. Water is going into a plastic tote. Also found the indoor coil is very dirty and will need pulled and cleaned. Blower wheel is also dirty and needs pulled and cleaned. Outdoor coil needs cleaned and the capacitor is low. System also needs refrigerant. I presented my findings to the customer. Considering the situation and that the system needs so much for me to consider the system dependable, I recommended the customer have a project manager come out and give her options before making an expensive amount of repairs. Once the options are given and if she decides the route she wishes to take is to repair the current system. Then I will make the repairs to get her b

Second opinion - 2015 Trane System Customer had another company out. Said system would not go into second stage cooling and breaker was tripped. I ohmed out all high voltage to the outdoor unit, including compressor. I found no issue. Checked refrigerant levels and capacitors and found no issues. I then inspected the indoor. My findings was there was no wires connected to the cooling terminals and an orange wire connected to the dehumidification terminal that was not connected to anything. I rewired the furnace correctly and blower speed increased to full capacity and 2nd stage in compressor was energized. I did a heat exchanger inspection just due to the age of the furnace and found one crack and multiple spots that will become a bigger issue soon. I had a conversation with the customer and he agree to have a project manager give him his option. He specifically requested Davin.

2nd Opinion No Cool- 2016 Carrier System I was called out for a second opinion repair quote. I completed a full inspection of both indoor and outdoor units. On the indoor unit it was found the evaporator coil has multiple refrigerant leaks. Pictures were taken of each location of the leaks. It was also noticed that the indoor coil is very dirty and effecting the system’s efficiency and performance. Blower wheel is also dirty and needs cleaned. There is substantial amounts of biological growth inside the unit. It is on the blower housing, electrical wiring and insulation. On the outdoor unit the contactor, capacitor and refrigerant levels were checked. The contactor is not in the best shape currently and may cause issues later on. The capacitor is a 45/5 and is reading 40/5. It is at the limits of what is considered in tolerance. For the refrigerant levels, even with the system leaking refrigerant, it does show that the TXV valve has failed and is causing a restriction in the refri

Tech was out for no cooling. The following came across. System was in high-pressure lockout. Reset control board on outdoor condenser ran system in cool mode for 25 minutes. System did not lockout on high pressure checked all working components indoor and out. Spoke with customer about system asked if she ran the system in heat mode. Customer stated she did but did not realize until later, she stated that she switched it back to cooling and system was blowing hot air . Let customer no system was in lockout on high-pressure due to running it in heat mode. Let customer know that with the temperature is being extremely hot running and in heat mode will cause the system to trigger safety switches inside the condenser while checking system. Tech noticed that there is no safety switches on the drain line recommend drain line being cleared and adding a wet switch to emergency pan also UV light inside the evaporator coil to keep bacteria and fungus growing.

No Cool Compressor is grounded. Biological growth is present within the air handler. Equipment is single stage in a zone application when it should be modulating or variable speed. Also, it is short on a return air as well as it’s missing a bypass damper. System has poor flood protection. Based on the cost of the repairs and the lack of an active warranty, it would be a good idea to look into replacement options at this time. Setup HomeCare plan today and applied membership pricing

Came out today to install a new 55 gallon electric heater with a fhr rating of 72. Removed existing heater and cut out/capped thermal expansion valve from the system. Installed new heater in a pan with a water alarm. Installed new piping, fittings and new ball valve shut off. Connected electrical to power the unit. Installed new thermal expansion tank mounted to a bracket mounted to the structure. Restored water to the home and bled air from the system. Insulated all piping and added valve tag to the shut off valve. Heater was set to 120 degrees and verified the elements were on. The water heater is mislabeled in the electrical panel. The 30 amp breaker labeled dryer is the disconnect for the water heater circuit. Advised customer to have an electrician out to evaluate the labels in the panel.

Arrived on site to troubleshoot a system that wasn’t cooling over the weekend. Saturday the thermostat gave a message that the system wasn’t cooling after a few hours of a cooling command. Client remember hot air coming from vents and shut the system off. When we arrived today we tested all functions of the main floor cooling system. We measured airflow, refrigerant pressures, amp draws from motors, filters and flushed drain lines. I was unable to duplicate any performance issues and the system cooled the home from 75 to 69 degrees while on site without any interruptions. I live nearby the client and I experienced a few short power outages on Saturday that may have contributed to the anomaly but all times I’ve been out the system is running extremely well, despite being short on return air. The system is clean, effective and drains are all cleared. System is fully operational without any faults or failures at this time. Call complete.

On today’s visit I met with the homeowner. The homeowner expressed an issue with a non operating garbage disposal. I did some test to see if the disposal was tripped or jammed. The disposal was completely seized. I then gave options to do a replacement. I received approval to install a 1/2 hp garbage disposal. I grabbed material and started the install. The new garbage disposal has new conduit and a new conduit connector. The garbage disposal is running and draining with no leaks. I did a super clean up and the customer is happy and satisfied at this time. *Disposal removal *1/2 hp disposal install

Tech was out for no cooling. Found condensation pump running. Check out tubing and found where is was stuck in the ground and not able to pump water out side. No safety switches on evaporator no secondary emergency drain pan no wet switch for flooding. Evaporator coil is dirty inside this would need to be pulled out and cleaned chemically. Blower wheel is impacted with red mud. Condenser is needing to be chemically cleaned. Spoke with customer about issues , customer went with option 1 . Tech made repairs as well as clear and cleaned drain line at no charge. Tested all working components at this time system is operating.

No Cool System is low on refrigerant, which is likely due to the refrigerant leak. That’s at the suction line service valve. It’s possible other leaks may exist, but we’re not identified today on my visit. The evaporator coil is also restricted. Zone application should only be attempted with a modulating or variable speed system. The system is approximately 200 CFM short on return air and missing a bypass damper to offset airflow. Poor flood protection. The equipment and living space could benefit from IQ enhancements.

No Cool- 2004 / 2015 Trane System Found system low on refrigerant and a large refrigerant leak in the indoor coil. Completed the full inspection and found the heat exchanger in the furnace in bad shape as well. Outdoor coil is very dirty and blower wheel needs cleaned also. Considering the age of the equipment and the amount out repairs it will need to be considered reliable, it is recommended to replace the unit at this stage. Customer is not in town at the moment. All findings were relayed over the phone. Estimates will be sent to customer.

Customers, 50 gallon, natural gas water heater in the garage was leaking. The customer already had the water turned off. When I arrived, I spoke with the homeowner. And let him know that the water heater needs to be replaced, and that I also recommended replacing the pressure regulating valve. Customer agreed to our quote to install a 50 gallon, natural gas water. Heater with a 4 year extension kit. As well as a pan and brought double wall vent all the way down to the water.Heater. I installed a thermal expansion tank. That is strapped to the side of the wall. And insulated all of the pipe. Afterwards, I turn the water back onto the house and slowly primed the water heater and all of the water lines. And got all residue and air out of the lines. I've been allowed for the water heater to heat up one full tank while insulating the water.Heater. Before all of this, I installed a new pressure regulating valve while the water heater was not installed. Thank you for choosing and trusting TE wit

Kevin came to review what we wanted (EV home charger install) around 2pm. He gave us the quote and they were able to install and get everything up and running by 5pm. The impressive part was they have the charger delivered by uber to install. While they waited for the delivery, they worked on the area needed so it was es less once the part arrived. We expected to have to wait a few days for the charger to be ordered and delivered.
