Arrived on site to troubleshoot a system unable to keep up with summer cooling demands. Home is a new build and only 2 years old. It’s a zoned carrier split system and we discovered that in cooling the DAT sensor was poorly located and caused the zone board to cycled on and off. Short cycling the system in cooling. We relocated the sponsor into the air stream and eliminated it from being an issue and the system ran without issue. Previous contractors disconnected y for the downstairs unit so it was only able to cool upstairs and. They replaced dampers and played with airflow to attempt to resolve the issue but with low setpoints, supply temps are often in that 45-58 degree temperature where the DAT sensor cuts off the Honeywell zone board. We tested amps, refrigerant charge, and signed client up for Homecare Maintenace program. Call complete.
Replace breaker
For this job, the customer had what looked like a slab leak in the master closet. After investigation we found the leak in a wall in the master closet. We cut out leaking section of pipe. The leak was a pin hole leak on the copper cpvc to pex fitting. Once we replaced section of pipe work, we let the glue dry, tested everything, and cleaned up. Thank you for choosing TE Certified.
Pulled 2 toilets in the home in order to replace the wax rings. The toilet in the master bathroom has a cracked closet flange. I went on to replace the flange. The second toilet didn’t require replacement of the flange. Tested both toilets for proper operation after pulling and resetting.
Tyler came out to assess the situation with our water heater and gave us several options for repair/replacement. The easy and low cost option was to "bandaid" the problem, but given the age of the unit we decided to go ahead and replace it. He got us a fair quote and scheduled installation for the next working day and arrived and dug into the job. We can tell his workmanship was far superior to the builder's installation. Tyler is friendly, professional and a true craftsman to his trade, a quality you don't often see. We now have hot water almost instantly in our home. We wired in a new dedicated 50 amp circuit for the new electric stove located in the kitchen. We supplied and installed a new box, Nema 14/50R receptacle with a plate. We installed a new 6/3 feeder cable from the panel across the attic and down the wall in the kitchen. We supplied and installed a new QO 50 amp GFCI breaker inside the main panel.
I came out today due to the kitchen lighting circuit having issues and when I went into the kitchen all the lights were on and working. The customer stated that this issue started the week of the 6th and she also stated that she had a leak on the next floor and this leak was occurring around the dining room fixture which the leak has been repaired. I went to the panel and found the circuit was labeled located on #16 of the panel board. On that circuit was a standard 15 amp breaker and the plug on Afci breaker was found at the bottom of the panel. I removed the standard breaker and installed the Afci breaker and turned it on only for it to trip indicating an issue. I removed the breaker and wiring and preformed a continuity test between the neutral conductor and the grounds and found that there was indeed a neutral to ground fault. Which had visible green corrosion, where it had actively been leaking or has leaked in the past. During our visit, the customer mentioned that a leak appeared to be coming from the hot water pipe coming from the water heater. Upon inspection I noticed a pinhole in the uponor pex hot water pipe. I then checked the water pressure and the expansion tank. The water pressure was around 60 psi but the expansion tank bladder was ruptured. I spoke with the customer about solutions. Multiple estimates were provided and presented. An estimate was approved for a repair to be made. A new thermal expansion tank was installed and pumped up to 70 psi. The tank was also mounted to a bracket. The pinhole was repaired on the hot side of the water heater. These repairs were tested for leaks and functionality after completion. I upgraded my home theater and naturally wanted to protect the investment from dangerous electrical surges. After researching the best way to protect home electronics, I determined whole home surge protection was the way to go.
