Camera inspections take the guesswork out of sewer line repairs to save you time and money.
Sewer camera inspections allow our plumbers to visually inspect the interior of your home’s sewer line without causing damage to your yard or the slab that your home is built on. Seeing inside the sewer pipes gives our team the ability to determine the location, depth, and severity of a main sewer line problem at the exact point it is occurring. Issues like breaks, separation, shear, and blockages, that would otherwise be hidden, are made clear.
Once the cause and location are determined, we can give accurate options for repairs.
To complete a sewer line inspection, a sewer camera is inserted into a maintenance point of your sewer system. That maintenance point is known as a cleanout. These cleanouts can be located in your yard or within your home. The high-resolution waterproof camera is pushed to the location of the issue, and the location is marked by the technician. Sewer camera inspections also allow us to take photos or videos if needed.
The cost of a sewer camera inspection can fluctuate depending on a few factors. Running the inspection from an exterior cleanout costs $329 ($489 for a pre-purchase inspection). However, if we have to pull a toilet, it will cost $589 ($689 for a pre-purchase inspection).
It's best to schedule a visit and speak with a TE Certified licensed plumber about the service. Don't worry, work won't start until you're comfortable with the process and cost.
During a sewer camera inspection, a TE Certified Plumber inserts the camera through a cleanout in your yard or inside the house, pushes it to the problem area, and marks the spot above ground. That shows the location, depth, and severity of a break, separation, shear, or blockage without digging up your yard or slab. Then, we can save photos or video, so you can see the problem for yourself. Finally, with the problem located, we can provide accurate, clear upfront repair options. This process eliminates guesswork and gives you the information to make an educated decision.
A drain cleaning service does not automatically include a camera inspection. A drain cleaning is a clearing job; a camera inspection is a separate diagnostic. We recommend an inspection when drains back up often, when a clearing does not hold, or when we need to know whether the pipe itself is broken. Seeing inside the pipe lets us determine the location, depth, and severity of the problem at the exact point it is occurring, which turns a repair quote into something accurate rather than a guess. The camera goes in through a cleanout in the yard or inside the home, and our inspections allow us to take photos or videos if needed - ask your plumber on site.

"I recently needed a plumbing issue evaluated at a property where I was coordinating the repairs. There was concern that a tree root might be blocking a pipe underground, and I contacted TE Certified because I had known previously about their expertise and high level of service.
From the very beginning, the experience was outstanding. Scheduling online was simple, and before each appointment I received a text with a short bio of the technician who was coming. I thought that was a really nice touch. It shared not only their experience and skills, but also a little about them as a person.
Joshua handled the first visit. He did a thorough assessment, explained everything clearly, and determined the next step was to inspect the line with a camera. Corey, one of their managers, came out for the second visit. Both technicians drove about an hour and a half to reach the property, called ahead with their arrival time, communicated throughout the process, and followed up afterward with both a phone call and a text.
Corey completed the camera inspection and provided a clear quote with three repair options, explaining each one without any pressure. From scheduling to communication before, during, and after the visits, every part of the experience reflected professionalism and genuine care. I'm thankful to have TE Certified as my plumber. They took excellent care of the project from start to finish, and that gives me a lot of confidence. I'll continue using them for future plumbing needs and recommend them without hesitation."
"I have used TE Certified on numerous occasions for both electrical and plumbing. Today, Chris was assigned to me for a camera inspection of my sewer line. He was very helpful in determining all the connections underground and their depth, which I need for anticipated landscaping. He also identified several areas of PVC separation underground, which is new and will require regular inspections in the future. Chris also inspected various other areas, including a sewer line in my crawl space and the main water line coming into the house. He is experienced and gave me good advice. Plumbing is not something you put in and forget. It does require occasional observation and corrections as needed. I felt Chris was exceptional and would gladly have him return in the future."
"I was confronting the worst homeowner disaster that I have ever encountered: a main line sewage blockage that completely put an end to the proper functioning of my household. First, Joshua and Cameron came to my home and did an expert job of attempting to remove the blockage, but the problem required greater intervention. Then came Adam two days later, who came to my home with a camera and did a thorough and detailed analysis of the actual problem and offered insightful and reasonable options to resolve the issue. The next day, the team comprised of Charles, Cordero, and Erik, who spent the entire day digging, cutting out roots and other debris that had caused the blockage, and installing a brand new solution that 100% fixed the problem.
While I must admit that I was very much dreading the expense, the inconvenience, and the stress of this project, all these gentlemen went way above and beyond to make sure that my system was working properly. Their friendliness, professionalism, empathy, and promptness have now caused me to decide to switch to TE for all my future home needs. Bravo, guys!!!!"
