Work wound up being more than I thought it would in terms of time, cost and the number of electrical issues such as the breaker panel that needed attention. But overall, I was satisfied and tech (James) was very professional and attentive.
Jacob did a great job and was very professional in his communication.
We’re on site and customer stated that the water heater was leaking at the expansion tank. When we walked down to the basement, and the basement was flooded because of the expansion tank. I went ahead and checked house pressure and found that the house pressure was at 100 PSI which was an indicator that the PRV had failed which also caused the expansion tank to fail. I gave the customer multiple options on the solution and he decided to go with the expansion tank replacement and PRV replacement only. Once PRV was installed I went ahead and adjusted the house pressure down to 65 psi and replace the expansion tank setting the air pressure to 75 psi. I also turned back on the heater and ensured hot water.
Replace elements and thermostat in a 4 year old AO Smith Pro line. Verified proper operation and checked resistance and voltage across the thermostats and elements. Tested for leaks. Left estimate to fix the poorly installed thermal expansion device.
For this job I came to see why hot water was taking long to reach upstairs bath, it never got fully hot, it was going back in forth between warm and cold. After inspecting water heater I noticed a recently installed check valve was installed backwards allowing cold water to go back in through the circulation line. I removed the check valves and installed properly. Water was fully getting hot and staying hot in the bathroom after correction was made. I also noticed house water pressure was above 80 psi which is the maximum allowed. Psi was at above 110. I replaced the pressure regulator and installed a higher grade regulator and set the pressure to 65. I tested and left work area clean.
I removed an old toilet and installed a customer supplied toilet. I tested thoroughly and ensured there were no leaks. I also left estimates for a tub/shower removal/installation ( the dimensions are 57x 45.5)

Tech was very nice, clean and knowledgeable. I thought it was simple toilet repair but would up being a replacement which cost much more than I had anticipated. But I cannot and would not complain about the Tech. A $702 job eventually turned into a $987 job but overall, I'm satisfied.

Excellent Service
I've used TE certified a few times after firing another company I didn't think I could trust. The techs are courteous, competent, and professional in my experience. They got done all the stuff I didn't want to do. Really, who WANTS plumbing and HVAC work? Their bot texted me a short introduction to the tech. They call before coming. And you can track their truck on a map. My one beef with them, and the last company, and the whole industry, is they're PRICEY. Expect some serious dents in your debit card. I do not casually spend the amounts of money below. Every $ 50 has to be considered. Examples from 2025: * Replace kitchen sink with customer provided part. Somewhat complicated. ~ 2 hr work by one tech. ~ $ 200. It was worth it to pay them. * Replace faucet, valve, and shower head with customer provided parts. Complicated. Tub is over a stairway. ~ 4 hr work by two techs. ~ $ 800. Definitely worth it. * Unfortunately, replumb 2/3 of a small 1300 SQ FT home with unfinished basement with lots of stuff, relocate main valves and pressure regulator, add indoor hose connector, reconnect water heater, toilet, tub and shower, kitchen sink, dishwasher, add shutoff valves for tub and shower. Complicated. ~ 3 days work by 2 - 3 techs. ~ $ 5 - 6 K. I'm told they have a lifetime workmanship warranty. Bottom line. I like them. I trust them. I have a hard time paying them.
He figured out a rather complex problem and fixed it. Working great now
Great Coordination with your scheduler. Prompt and reliable service that was well communicated. But the best part of it all, was Ricky, he came, listened, diagnosed and fixed my multiple plumbing issues. He is knowledgeable, courteous, upfront, honest, explaining all issues including cost and possible outcomes. A true asset to any company and definitely will ask for again and recommend to all family and friends.
Max did a great job. Very knowledgeable
