Based on our findings today, it might be time to think about getting a brand new system for the main level. Responded to main level furnace not heating 2007 amana 90+ 70k furnace located in the basement. Performed full system inspection found high limit switch open due to failed heat exchanger. Ran carbon monoxide text found 500 ppm. Tagged furnace unsafe and scheduled install supervisor to give options on updating equipment.
New PRV / ball valve and water heater flesh.
Homecare inspection 2 systems, and no heat for upstairs system. Found cracked heat exchanger, failing blower capacitor, inducer motor leaking oil, blower motor leaking oil, dirty blower, failed graphite igniter causing system not to run, no flood protection for second floor system. Found heat exchanger showing age, no flood protection, single wall flue pipe, and dirty blower for main floor system. Performed inspections on both systems for heating operation, did not check outdoor systems due to temperature outside and customer request. Checked electrical components, checked heat exchangers, checked blower wheels and cabins, cleaned flame sensors, flushed drains, tested condensate pump, checked coils, tested operation at thermostat. Quoted repairs and recommended replacement for both systems due to age and conditions. Install supervisor set to give quote tomorrow morning. Customer signed up for 2 system Homecare plan.

Complete start up and test Provide and install new general purpose pressure switch as part of replacement. Wire and test unit for proper function
Dig and create a temporary spot repair at location of water seepage. Dug roughly 18 inches and found the cause of the leak was a sharkbite fitting. Fixed this area, then confirmed the meter was not picking up any usage. Backfilled and pressurized home. Customer has a water heater from 2011, He understands this and will call when he is ready to replace. Water service is 3/4” pex

Replaced garbage disposal in kitchen also
Installed stream labs water monitoring device.
Removed all push pull service stops in the home and replaced with new 1/4 turn valves. Also replaced all supply lines for faucets and toilets. Verified no leaks on any existing cpvc piping and purged air from the system.
Arrived for system not heating. Found no high voltage to the unit. Found high voltage hook up to the unit with crispy burnt wires and furnace control circuit board crunchy around high voltage hook up with burnt spade connections at the circuit board. Customer stated the house recently was hit with a power surge . Zone board had failed and currently is hard wired to one thermostat to at least get it running from someone else. Found system has refrigeration oxidation leaks and not flood protection on the unit to TE standard. Got the system heating for the moment but informed customer it might not stay on. Spoke with customer about quote for new system and he would like a quote on dec 3rd from 11-2. Customer also is interested in daiken systems and may want to bundle a second system, into his unfinished basement as well. System is heating at the moment from only on upstairs thermostat.

Order and Install a TE supplied American Standard Williamsburg diverter spout. Install the preassembled showerhead as a courtesy checked handle for any leaks. Caulked around the shower head entry as requested.
Tested home for gas leaks. Client mentioned they primarily smell gas in the basement. Located isolating shutoff valves for all gas appliances and shut them off. Pressure tested home and located leak coming from section of black iron feeding the main floor fireplace. Left quote for repair and kept gas for the fireplace turned off. Relit all pilot lights for appliances and verified no further leaks.
Install additional wiring, fan support box, and customer supplied fan at new center of living/kitchen area at customer’s preferred location. Wiring to be installed from existing fan box in ceiling, blank plate will remain until customer has light fixture to be installed.

I install a new outdoor GFI back to back from an existing outlet in the living room.
Entire team continues with the liver excellent service across the board
Work wound up being more than I thought it would in terms of time, cost and the number of electrical issues such as the breaker panel that needed attention. But overall, I was satisfied and tech (James) was very professional and attentive.
Jacob did a great job and was very professional in his communication.
We’re on site and customer stated that the water heater was leaking at the expansion tank. When we walked down to the basement, and the basement was flooded because of the expansion tank. I went ahead and checked house pressure and found that the house pressure was at 100 PSI which was an indicator that the PRV had failed which also caused the expansion tank to fail. I gave the customer multiple options on the solution and he decided to go with the expansion tank replacement and PRV replacement only. Once PRV was installed I went ahead and adjusted the house pressure down to 65 psi and replace the expansion tank setting the air pressure to 75 psi. I also turned back on the heater and ensured hot water.
Replace elements and thermostat in a 4 year old AO Smith Pro line. Verified proper operation and checked resistance and voltage across the thermostats and elements. Tested for leaks. Left estimate to fix the poorly installed thermal expansion device.
For this job I came to see why hot water was taking long to reach upstairs bath, it never got fully hot, it was going back in forth between warm and cold. After inspecting water heater I noticed a recently installed check valve was installed backwards allowing cold water to go back in through the circulation line. I removed the check valves and installed properly. Water was fully getting hot and staying hot in the bathroom after correction was made. I also noticed house water pressure was above 80 psi which is the maximum allowed. Psi was at above 110. I replaced the pressure regulator and installed a higher grade regulator and set the pressure to 65. I tested and left work area clean.
I removed an old toilet and installed a customer supplied toilet. I tested thoroughly and ensured there were no leaks. I also left estimates for a tub/shower removal/installation ( the dimensions are 57x 45.5)
Replace CH gen 2 breaker that was faulty. Troubleshoot completed on previous visit by Martin.
Replaced rusted jammed disposal with new 1/2 HP insinkerator disposal.
We replace an outlet GFI in the kitchen that was faulty at no warranty since we did not do a troubleshoot to locate the issue that cause this. New outlet working correctly
Upon arrival, customer notified me that they would like to have an outlet installed for their dryer blower located in the attic. We will need to extend the existing circuit in the attic for the new receptacle that will be installed for the dryer blower. In order for this to be up to code we will need to install a new arc fault breaker. We will also be giving the customer an option to have whole home surge protection installed.
Tech was very nice, clean and knowledgeable. I thought it was simple toilet repair but would up being a replacement which cost much more than I had anticipated. But I cannot and would not complain about the Tech. A $702 job eventually turned into a $987 job but overall, I'm satisfied.
Charlie did a great job! It was a pleasure!
The whole team worked in tandem relocating a water heater I couldn’t have asked for a better result.
Smooth installation and upgrade to a surge protector. Alex was very knowledgeable and helpful.
Jonah was a pleasure to work with, and we were extremely happy with his performance.

Shane Wiederholt showed up on time, was very polite and professional, checked everything out before he did anything (I appreciated that) then took care of the reason for the call. Steve from TE asked a variety of questions tested and diagnosed the problem. He was able to explain complex plumbing in a simple manner. He left me a more informed customer and provided great options. Very fair pricing, clear explanations and very efficient. Great tech, great company.

Luke was excellent. Explained exactly what the costs were and was neat.

Excellent Service
I've used TE certified a few times after firing another company I didn't think I could trust. The techs are courteous, competent, and professional in my experience. They got done all the stuff I didn't want to do. Really, who WANTS plumbing and HVAC work? Their bot texted me a short introduction to the tech. They call before coming. And you can track their truck on a map. My one beef with them, and the last company, and the whole industry, is they're PRICEY. Expect some serious dents in your debit card. I do not casually spend the amounts of money below. Every $ 50 has to be considered. Examples from 2025: * Replace kitchen sink with customer provided part. Somewhat complicated. ~ 2 hr work by one tech. ~ $ 200. It was worth it to pay them. * Replace faucet, valve, and shower head with customer provided parts. Complicated. Tub is over a stairway. ~ 4 hr work by two techs. ~ $ 800. Definitely worth it. * Unfortunately, replumb 2/3 of a small 1300 SQ FT home with unfinished basement with lots of stuff, relocate main valves and pressure regulator, add indoor hose connector, reconnect water heater, toilet, tub and shower, kitchen sink, dishwasher, add shutoff valves for tub and shower. Complicated. ~ 3 days work by 2 - 3 techs. ~ $ 5 - 6 K. I'm told they have a lifetime workmanship warranty. Bottom line. I like them. I trust them. I have a hard time paying them.
He figured out a rather complex problem and fixed it. Working great now
Great Coordination with your scheduler. Prompt and reliable service that was well communicated. But the best part of it all, was Ricky, he came, listened, diagnosed and fixed my multiple plumbing issues. He is knowledgeable, courteous, upfront, honest, explaining all issues including cost and possible outcomes. A true asset to any company and definitely will ask for again and recommend to all family and friends.
